For this lesson.

We've now returned back to the air service.

What we're going to be looking at is how do we create our own workspace for other people to work with?

Now, please note, as I said before, you need a pro license for this functionality.

Also, the people who need to access the other workspaces will also require a pro licence.

So we're on the home page at the moment.

Let let's go back to our workspaces.

And we've already seen that some workspaces have been created in my system.

If I want to create a new one, you can see at the bottom very easy.

Just go to create a new workspace.

Now, really, there's not much to this.

Basically, what you can do is you can just name this workspace.

Let's say, for example, we want to call this our training workspace.

Now, what you will see is that it will go through the system and we'll just confirm that everything

is available, that that name is available for you to use.

Now, in the description, you can give this a description.

So you could just call this my training place.

And really just as easy as that.

There are some advanced options that you could use.

You could use different contact lists and workspace.

Basically, what license mode is this running in as well?

As I say, you basically do need a pro license.

Now, there is another licensing option called your premium per user, which allows you more capability

and capacity for four users.

So it would be one of the two that you could use.

And then also the type of default storage that you would want to use, but you just want to use the

default unless you have a specific reason as to creating something.

So really you don't actually need those advanced options.

You can go ahead and just create this by clicking the save button.

And there we go.

Now you can see that it's being created very quickly.

We now are in the training workspace itself.

So basically, you can now come into this and you can actually create your own reports and everything

for this.

Let's show an example of that.

We're going to go back into the pub, your desktop.

We're going to take our sales report and we're actually just going to publish it into the training workspace

just to show how that works.

Okay.

So we're going to bring it up the Power BI desktop.

Okay, So we're back in the Power BI desktop now.

Let's go back to our sales report.

Just one thing to be aware of when you do do publishing is that make sure that you're on the page that

you want to be the default page.

So when somebody enters the report, just make sure when you publish your edge you have that as the

selected page.

If you select another page, then often that will become the default.

So just something to be aware of.

Let's go back to our home and let's publish this.

If there's been changes, it will ask us to save those changes.

So we just say save on that and it should now bring up the publishing and hopefully we should see our

new workspace, which we do.

So we now go to our new workspace.

So I'm going to say that we're going to publish this sales reporting for our training workspace, pick

select from that.

And again, it's going to do the publishing to the power by service for me.

I'll just wait for that to finish.

Should be pretty quick.

Okay, There we go.

We've got success.

Let's go back to the Power BI service.

We'll bring that up again.

Okay, so we're back in the Power BI service now.

And what you'll see is we're back in our training workspace and we now have the sales report data set

and we have the sales report, the actual content already published in there.

So as we say, this makes it very easy now to be able to publish into your own workspaces.

So as you can see, I've got my training workspace going to there and there's my report.

If I select my report now, loads that report.

Also, remember, I did hide some of those pages, so only the Q&A page was not hidden.

So therefore that was also published.

So just something to take into account there.

Now, one final part just on your workspaces is that if you go to your workspaces, you've got your

three ellipses, give you some more options.

When you click on that, you get your workspace settings and your workspace access, so it's actually

better to set your workspace access.

Who gets access to this from there?

Now you can see at the moment what you do is you just enter the email address of the people that you

want to be able to add into the workspace, and then you decide what their role is.

Do you want them to be an admin, a member contributor, or just a viewer?

So you can dictate that different what access they've got within the workspace?

So that's really how we create a workspace within powered by very simple, very easy to be able to set

those up.
