Okay, so our sales manager is back again.

And what he would like us to do is just to experiment and to try with the different filters that we

just used in the previous lesson.

So we're going to try just the cross filtering experiment again.

We're going to look at 100% column graph and also use a bar graph.

So let's just create a new page for this.

Let's say this is going to be our graph activity and select that.

Okay.

So we're going to start off by creating a 100% stacked column graph.

So that's a visualization over there.

We're going to select this.

I got a bit bigger.

And in this case, we're using our manufacturer again, going to be using our sales again, and we're

going to be using our channel.

So.

Just pop that into a legend so you can sort of see some of the colors not that great.

So we may want to change those.

You may want to have some colors that the sales manager likes.

Let's also just create our bar graph.

So we're going to be creating the bar graph.

Let's use that one over there.

And in this case, it's quite an easy one.

We've got our region and our Y and our X is going to be in this case is going to be profit.

We'll drop that in our x.

Nice big graph there.

Okay, so we got our two graphs.

So if you wanted to play around with the colors of this, you could just go into your formatting and

you remember that we had our columns and you have your different colors.

So that online is quite dark.

Let's say we wanted a lighter color on that.

There we go.

And let's say store as well.

Also, quite a dark color.

Let we make that.

And there we go.

As I say, I mean, you can experiment with these different colors, but sometimes the lighter colors

may be just a little easier on the eyes, just a little easier to see.

Also, if we were to turn then on our data labels, hopefully they should be quite easy to view.

And as you can see, it's not too bad.

So remember now when we click on this, when we go to North America, you'll now see that it's now highlighted

all of the data for North America in this graph.

Go to Asia.

You'll see that it's highlighted and that one gets highlighted as well.

Now, basically, if we select this and then we go back to our format and we select edit interactions,

you'll see then we get the ability to change the interactions and how they work.

So remember, the other option is that we could filter this.

So when we select this now, you'll see that this graph is just now actually filtering the data rather

than highlighting the data.

So the whole graph is changing.

And then the last option is that you could have none.

And you'll see that obviously when I select these, nothing will happen with this graph.

Now you can get the behavior to work the other way as well.

If I went to this graph and selected it, you will see now that the behaviors are on this graph.

So let's say we were to wanted to see this filter.

And we select one of the options here.

So just that option there, which is fabric camp and just the store side of it.

And now show me what is my profit by region one of those.

Or if I pick down here, we'll see that it'll change again.

So as you can see, I can select these and it will now filter the graph on this side.

If we change this to highlighting, we'll see.

Then it will let you highlight the value then against the total.

So there we go.

There's some examples of this.

Now, as I've said previously, this is something that you're probably going to find that you need to

experiment a little bit with and to play around with.

And sometimes you can find that you get a bit confused as to what is doing what.

So that's just something to look out for.

But for now, we're going to leave the defaults just as highlighting.

Also, just remember if you wanted to turn off those edit interactions, you just go back to formatting,

turn off edit interactions here and then that will remove those icon.

I want to turn it back on again, just like that, and then you can easily change that.
