straight at me,

through this pane of glass,
that will shatter,

and I will catch it
in my mouth.

Now, please do not attempt this
at home, ladies and gentlemen.

Only those of us
versed in the arts of magic

are skilled enough
to make this happen.

(intense drumming)

(gunshot)
(audience gasps)

(chattering)

(horrified gasp)

- Was that the trick

up there with those lights.

What he did do,
was he took

an actual bullet like this
and onstage he went over to Tess

and he said, "Can you sign
this bullet with your initials?"

Now we have a marked bullet.
He takes this marked bullet

and puts it in between his teeth
like this, so the audience

can see that this is how
he's gonna catch the bullet.

He takes the marked bullet, puts
it in the barrel of the gun.

But the marked bullet
isn't in the barrel.

It's a bullet made of wax.

This, the marked bullet,
is still in his mouth.

- Not bad. Wasn't there
a pane of glass

that proved that
the assistant fired the gun?

- Yeah, there was
a pane of glass

but the spray of
the liquid wax was enough force

to shatter the glass.
- Clever.

So, after he collapsed,
where was the real bullet?

- When he collapsed, the bullet
fell right out of his mouth.

It was next to him onstage.
That bullet didn't kill him.

- Nervous shock from
the blast, maybe a heart attack?

- We don't know.
We're waiting on the autopsy.

(phone ringing)

OK, do me a favour.
Get that to forensics right now.
