So our sales manager is back and he has asked us put together a report.

Now, our first task is, is that we're going to create some cloud visualizations to show some of the

key metrics.

So as you can see, I've gone across to my activity page and I've deleted what was on that page.

But as I said previously, in the course it is by all means just to add new pages on as you go along

so you can keep a record of the work that you're putting together, right?

So we're on an activity.

So our first one is we're going to create a COD visualization for our some of sales.

So remember that we just go to our cod, we select it, get the placeholder, can resize it if you want

to.

I'm going to start off with some of sales, so I'm going to drop my sales into the fields.

We get the total value.

Now, the changes I'll make to this is that I would go to the formatting and if you remember, we go

into general and I use a title on this just so that it's easier to see what it is that we're presenting.

So I've got my total sales there.

In this case, I'm going to make the text color white.

We're going to make our background color.

Let's make it maybe try a color like that.

Okay, I'm going to put it in the middle.

Then I'm also going to go to my fix.

We're going to put a bit of a border around this.

So we say I'm going to say visual border.

I'm going to use a dark gray on this and 15 pixels rounded corners.

I guess we got now sort of the crux of our code visualization.

I'm going to go across the visual, though.

I'm not going to share the category label, so I'm going to turn that off.

We're going to take that away.

And then the cool art value, I am going to make the font just a little bit smaller and we're going

to give it a couple of decimal places as well.

So I'm going to keep the display units as auto, but we're going to just.

Let's create a couple of decimal places for that.

So there we go.

That is our first card visualization.

Now, what it wants as well is other visualizations for average cells, high cell, lowest cell and

number of products that have been sold.

So I'm going to use copy and paste for that.

So we're just going to select that.

Use control C.

Control B.

Move that across.

Next one we want is our average sales.

So I can actually just go to my sum of sales and I could change the calculation to average.

And then again, I go back to my formatting, we go back to our general, go to title, and in this

case I'm just going to show that it is the average sales.

There we go.

And again, let's just use our control C and control V, and in this case, we want a high cell.

So again, we're going to change our method of aggregation and go to maximum.

So let's go back to my formatting, change the title first just so that it says highest sale.

So we'll just tuck that in my sale and then I'm going to go to my visual and I'm also going to change

the way that the call out value is calculated.

So instead of display units actually going to say, We're going to use none of this and we're going

to take away the decimal values just so that that figure is easier to read.

Okay, the next one is our lowest sale.

So again, control C, control V just copy and paste.

Again, let's go across title.

I said lowest.

Sale.

And that should actually work.

We've just got to change now the calculation.

So I'm going to go back to my field.

Go back to minimum.

And there we go.

That's correct.

Now.

And then the last one we wanted is actually to know the number of products that have been sold.

So remember, with this, we're going to use a distinct count on our product name.

So I'm going to take my product name and remember, just drop it over the sales.

So we're just going to take it there.

And what it does is it's defaulted to the first.

So we're going to change this.

Now, I'm going to just say this is going to be account distinct.

There we go.

We've got now the correct number of products.

And what we're going to do is just change the title.

So I'm just going to go back to general, go back to our title.

And in this case, this is going to be number of products.

So there we go.

We now have that information.

So those are called visualizations.

Next plot that it wants is it wants to see a table that displays for each product category, the total

profit, average profit, highest profit, lowest profit and number of products.

So quite a bit of information in there.

So we're just going to go to our table and let's create it on the side here.

And that's going to be quite wide.

It's going to have quite a bit of information.

So let's start with our product category, which is what it wants, and then we're going to be using

our profit figures.

So I'm just going to drop that into my columns.

So my first one is some of profit.

I'm quite happy with that.

And then again now we're going to drop another profit in here because we now need to know what is the

average profit.

And you'll remember that I can just change it on the dropdown.

So we just go to the dropdown, change this to average.

There we go.

We've got an average of profit, next one's highest profit.

You can see these can go quite fast.

Once you get the hang of it, I'm going to change it to maximum and then our last profit value is our

min.

So we're just going to do a min on that and then we've got the different values already here.

But as we pointed out before, your column headers may not be what you want, so we're just going to

correct those.

We're going to double click on that and we're just going to type over now just to give it a heading

that you actually want.

So we're just going to say that.

So our profit.

And we're going to set that to a highest profit.

Here we go.

And your lowest profit.

Last one.

My God, we're just going to have the lowest profit, right?

So the last one it wanted was also just to know the number of products.

So for each product category, we can then see the number of products.

So again, we're going to add product name onto this.

So we're just going to drop product name into our columns and by default, again, it show me all the

product names.

We don't want that.

So again, we're going to click on the dropdown, we're going to choose our count distinct and there

we go.

We now get a count.

And again, I'm just going to change this header.

So it looks a little bit better.

There we go.

We've now got our table that has been created.

Let's have a look at the next one.

So the next one is we need to create a matrix table that shows my profit by product, category and region.

So let's do it down at the bottom over here, and we're going to click on on Matrix.

And this is of product category again.

So the product category you're going to put into Rose a region we're going to put into our columns and

we needed to see the profit.

So we're going to drop that into our values.

So there we go.

We've now got a product category or region or some profit, and there's our matrix.

It's looking good.

And the last one is, is that we must create a multi card visualization that shows the sales, profit

and order quantity by the different channels.

So again, I'm going to click on some whitespace.

We're going to go across to our multi row multi row card.

Pop it over here, create a bit of space for this.

So again, we've got our fields.

We're going to be using our channel, drop that in there and then our fields all we need, firstly our

sales.

So we get our total sales value.

We want a profit.

And we also want to order quantity.

And there we go.

We've now got all of those figures.

And again, to tidy this up, if you wanted to, you could just come in here and make the headings look

a little bit better.

And also you could do some formatting if you wanted to as well.

And the last one is our order quantity.

Now, one thing that you might notice here is we don't have any common denominator in the sort of the

thousands.

It just makes it a little bit more difficult to read.

So what I'm going to do is I'm just going to go to my order quantity and we're going to select all the

quantity.

Remember our column tools.

And in this case, we're going to say we do want to use 1000 separator, which is our comma.

So we're going to click on that.

And you should see now it's now got the comma being added into that.

It just makes it a little bit easier when you break up the numbers for people to see what the total

values are.

So there we go.

That is our completed report.
