CRASH

ALL CHARACTERS, LOCATIONS, ORGANIZATIONS, EVENTS,

GROUPS, AND BACKGROUNDS IN THIS WORK ARE FICTIONAL

CERTIFICATE OF ENTRY AND DEPARTURE

[Chaeman] I found out that he came back to Korea a year and a half ago.

You met Kim Minsung, right?

I thought he had died.

He was alive.

Where is he now?

I can't tell you.

- Jungsub. - He still has unfinished business.

No matter what it is,

I plan to protect him.

[phone buzzes]

RESTRICTED CALL

[buzzing continues]

Hello?

[panting over the phone]

- Who are you? - I actually told him not to do it.

But Jungwook said

that we shouldn't leave her be.

He said she saw his face.

He said we must kill her.

- Han Kyungsoo. You're Han Kyungsoo, right? - [screams]

[choking, coughing]

[panting]

I'm telling you the truth. I tried to stop him.

But Jungwook, that bastard…

He's unstoppable when he goes crazy.

He always gets his way. [panting]

I tried to stop him,

but he hit that woman with his car in the end.

- [device beeps] - [sighs]

Who are you, you bastard?

Who the hell are you?

[Minsung] I'll send you a location. Come alone.

If you tell anyone, I'll post this on the Internet.

- [hangs up] - Hello? Hey. Hello?

[sighs]

[panting] Damn it.

Are you going to leave him be?

This bastard killed Jaeyoung. You need to take revenge.

I want to tear him to pieces,

but Myunghak insists on keeping things lawful.

Uncle, for goodness' sake.

Chairman Yang,

since when did you abide by the law?

To be completely honest,

wasn't this what my father needed you for?

How will you get anything done if you abide by the law?

Forget it.

I'll go alone.

I'll avenge

Jaeyoung's death.

Jungwook.

I feel ashamed.

I didn't prioritize Jaeyoung as much as his friend did.

Where are they?

What are you looking for?

NFS materials. Anything will do.

National Forensic Service? Hold on.

National Forensic Service.

Here. This is a tire analysis we received when the rapist,

Park Sungjin, ran over the victim.

What? Why does this…

KIM HYUNMIN

I heard you graduated from KAIST. I'm also a fellow graduate.

[whispers] Excuse me.

[Chaeman] The culprit who drives the black car…

KIM HYUNMIN

…has a crippled leg.

Oh, Inspector Cha, what brings you here at this hour?

Mr. Kim Minsung.

Perhaps, I should call you Mr. Kim Hyunmin now.

[tires screech]

CRASH

EPISODE 10

I never imagined

that we'd meet like this.

I'm glad to see you're alive.

Did the name, Kim Hyunmin,

come from Lee Hyunsoo and your name?

It was our baby's name.

Our unborn baby.

It was my wife's idea.

I never imagined that I'd use it.

[chuckles]

Did you plan this from the start?

You faked your death, changed your identity,

and became a forensic analyst, all to...

The man named Kim Minsung

died along with Hyunsoo at the scene of the accident.

I simply wanted

to lead a normal life like the others

as if nothing had happened.

I wanted to forget everything and move on, like a coward.

But…

I couldn't do that.

EUNDONG JUNCTION ACCIDENT

Since I found out the truth.

TIRE MARK ON THE VICTIM'S BODY AND TIRE MARK OF SUSPECT'S TIRE

TIRE MARK ON THE VICTIM DOES NOT MATCH THE SUSPECT'S TIRE

The tire mark on Hyunsoo's body…

THE TIRE MARK IS NOT A MATCH

…didn't come from your car.

So I wondered why there was no further investigation.

[typing]

EQUUS E330 TIRE

The reason was simple.

EQUUS E330 TIRE

The culprit was running the investigation.

There were two tire marks.

One came from forward movement.

One from backward movement.

Those bastards killed her.

She was still alive, but they killed her.

- [gasps] - [hits table]

That doesn't give you the right to murder for revenge.

Then what makes you different from them?

You could've let the law be the judge. Why did you...

Let the law be the judge? [chuckles]

While working here at NFS, I've followed many cases.

I know what evidence is crucial and how severe the sentence will be.

There was no evidence.

I couldn't prove the tire belonged to Pyo Myunghak.

Oh, Han Kyungsoo said

that I'll never be able to catch Pyo Myunghak and Pyo Jungwook.

Where do you think he got that conviction?

The world must've taught him.

He must've seen it happen repeatedly.

- Where are you visiting? - It's an urgent arrest. Open up.

Yes, sir.

Hurry and let them in.

Mr. Cha Yeonho.

Why did you become an officer?

You saw it too.

You saw how those bastards were living.

Even after committing such a horrendous crime,

they keep repeating the same mistakes without any remorse.

Putting those bastards in prison won't change a thing.

What is the point of punishment if the culprits aren't remorseful?

What is the point of punishment if the victim can't agree to it?

Just because the victim can't agree and the culprits aren't remorseful,

it doesn't justify what you're doing now.

No one has the right to take another person's life.

How unfortunate.

I thought we understood each other.

I thought about that night hundreds and thousands of times.

"What if I had left later?

What if I hadn't dropped the CD? What if I had turned the wheel sooner?"

But the conclusion was always the same.

No matter how much I regret it,

I can't change what happened.

But it's possible to correct a wrong.

Pyo Myunghak and Pyo Jungwook's impressive status doesn't matter.

The real culprits who killed Lee Hyunsoo…

I promise I'll catch them.

So please just trust me

and turn yourself in.

Because of me, the two of you…

To the two of you,

I don't know what I should say to beg for forgiveness.

No, I don't even deserve forgiveness.

Though it's much too late…

I really wanted to tell you this.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

I still have unfinished business.

I'm sorry, Mr. Cha Yeonho.

[grunts]

[grunts]

[grunts]

[officer] I spotted the car.

Stop!

- [car engine revs] - [shouts]

[tires screech]

[tires screech]

- Don't just stand there! Get the car! - Yes, sir!

[grunts]

[sighs] Darn it.

[tires screech]

[tires screech]

Chairman Yang, we found the car.

Bring him to me after a good beating.

Make sure he's still breathing.

I'll carry out the last blow.

[radio beeps]

[Yang sighs]

Jungwook.

[tires screech]

[screeching]

[screeching]

[radio beeps]

[Chaeman] Commence operation.

First, decide which way you're going to turn. If it's the left,

count to three in your head.

[tires screeching]

[horn honks]

[sirens wailing]

[tires screech]

STOP

[exclaims]

[truck horn honking]

[radio signal tone]

Arrest them all for attempted murder and reckless driving.

[officer] Yes, sir.

[sirens continue wailing]

[officer 2] Come on.

[officer 3] All right.

[officers exclaiming]

- You okay? Were you hurt? - I'm fine.

Kim Minsung, get out.

- [Sohee grunts] - Min Sohee.

Hey, he's running away.

- Where's Kim Minsung? - Kim Minsung?

[sighs] By now, he should be at Namgang Police Station.

[Yeonho] It's from the same printer.

TEN HOURS AGO

Kim Hyunmin, the forensic analyst, is Kim Minsung.

He's getting revenge for his late wife after changing his identity.

He'll go after Pyo Jungwook soon. We must catch him first.

Let's arrest him right away.

May I

try to persuade him?

I'll ask him to turn himself in.

Wouldn't it be dangerous?

I want to give him a chance.

I'm sure he knows exactly what he's doing.

Okay. Go ahead.

While Inspector Cha persuades Kim Minsung, we'll surround the area and wait.

- Yes, sir. - Okay.

Because of me, the two of you…

To the two of you,

I don't know what I should say to beg for forgiveness.

I don't even deserve forgiveness.

Though it's much too late…

I really wanted to tell you this.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

[Minsung] I still have unfinished business.

- I'm sorry, Mr. Cha Yeonho. - [Yeonho grunts]

Inspector Cha.

- Lieutenant. - Wait.

You two, follow me.

- Yes, sir. - Yes, sir.

[grunts]

- Inspector Cha, are you okay? - [grunts]

Yes, but Kim Minsung…

Kim Minsung got away.

[gasps]

[panting]

Kim Minsung.

That's enough now.

Mr. Kim Hyunmin… I mean, Mr. Kim Minsung has been found.

Take him.

- Yes, sir. - Yes, sir.

[groans]

- [Hyunkyung sighs] - [Minsung groans]

Captain. [pants]

Why does it have to be today?

All these years, you couldn't do anything.

You didn't know anything. [panting]

So why does it have to be today?

Han Kyungsoo told me everything.

He told me how Pyo Jungwook killed my dear Hyunsoo.

- [tires screech] - [engine revs]

TEN YEARS AGO

[laughing] Jungwook, your father's car is amazing.

- I know, punk. He gets so many bribes. - Pay up, you jerk.

- [Jungwook exclaims] - Among the girls we met yesterday,

what about the lunatic who is in love with you?

- Get lost. You can have her, you punk. - [engine revs]

- All right. - Hey, let's take a photo.

[cheer]

- [tires screeching] - [horn honks]

[car crashes]

[Jaeyoung] What was that?

- Did you hit a person? - I told you to drive carefully.

[stammering] A person… A person… [panting]

Damn it.

[Jaeyoung exclaims]

Gosh.

Hey.

Hey. Hey!

For goodness' sake.

[shouting] What are we going to do?

I told you to drive carefully, you idiot.

[Kyungsoo crying] What are we going to do?

[crying] Hey, that person…

What are we going to do?

[crying] We need to call 911. [panting]

[ringing tone]

- [grunts] - Shut up, you punk.

Can't you see what happened? Have you no idea?

What are you doing? Let's run before someone sees us.

- Come here. - [Hyunsoo] Please help me…

[groans]

[gasping, groaning]

Please…

Please help me. [crying]

Jungwook, Jaeyoung.

She's pregnant. What do we do? [crying]

What are we going to do?

[gasps]

[groaning]

My goodness.

[Jaeyoung] What should we do?

What do we do?

- [groans] - [Kyungsoo crying]

[Hyunsoo whimpering]

My baby…

Please save my baby…

[breathing heavily]

[Hyunsoo] Please.

[Kyungsoo crying]

Hey, Jungwook!

- Jungwook. Pyo Jungwook. - Let go of me.

Pyo Jungwook! You crazy bastard!

- Stop calling my name, you punk. - [screams]

- Hey, my dad is a police officer. - [crying]

He's a high-ranking police officer!

- [slaps cheek] - It's all because of you.

This is all because you called my name, you punk.

[grunts]

Hey!

Where are you going?

[sniveling] Jaeyoung.

Hey.

- What is he doing? - Hey!

- [Jaeyoung] Is he driving? - [tires screech]

[Kyungsoo] What are you doing? You bastard! [screaming]

[Jaeyoung, Kyungsoo scream]

[Kyungsoo wailing]

- [thuds] - [Jaeyoung, Kyungsoo screaming]

Please…

[Kyungsoo wailing]

[retches]

- [Kyungsoo wailing] - [Jaeyoung retching]

- [Kyungsoo] You crazy bastard! - [ringing tone]

[Minsung] Pyo Jungwook killed her.

He did it in cold blood even though Hyunsoo was alive.

[crying]

At the very least,

I should've killed him with my own hands.

Why? [sobs]

Why are you saving someone like him?

He doesn't deserve to be saved.

We aren't doing this to save Pyo Jungwook.

We're here to stop you from committing more crimes.

Mr. Kim Minsung.

You know about my father's accident, right?

I want to catch Pyo Jungwook more than anyone.

So please give me a chance.

I'll catch Pyo Jungwook by all means.

[phone buzzes]

I was supposed to meet Pyo Jungwook.

Where?

IF YOU WANT TO MEET ME COME TO THIS ADDRESS

- Wonseong-go? - [Donggi] Hold on.

I know this address.

Yang Jaeyoung attempted to take Kim Minju there.

It's the company's vacation home.

Hold on.

It's a trap.

We could use it to catch Pyo Jungwook.

[siren wails]

[door opens]

[Sohee] What is it?

What should we do? It's Director General Lee Taeju.

[sighs]

Listen carefully.

We can't hand over Kim Minsung if we want to catch Pyo Jungwook.

Pyo Jungwook will move only if Kim Minsung shows up.

Your black car with tinted windows is here, right?

- I'll lure them. - Okay. Lieutenant Min, lure them.

The rest will cut off the retreat.

[Hyunkyung, Donggi] Yes, sir.

[siren wailing]

Why? Did you think that we missed Kim Minsung?

Or did you want us to miss him?

- [Donggi] Lieutenant. - Yes?

- We have Pyo Jungwook's location. - [Sohee] Okay.

- Did you say Pyo Jungwook? - Pardon?

Hey, why would that name come up?

Lieutenant Min, get going. I'll take care of this.

Yes, sir.

Hold on.

[officer] Take them. Come on.

You should stay here for a second.

There's still a rat to catch.

You must be mistaken.

I'm currently in charge of TCI at Namgang Police Station.

You're waiting to be assigned.

Please do me a favor.

Why don't you mind your own business?

Don't meddle and risk losing your team.

- [Taeju] Damn it. Hey. - [sighs]

I didn't know you had that side.

I guess I forgot to tell you.

I used to be in the Major Crimes Division.

I'm worried for you.

- You'll lose your pension at this rate. - It's okay.

I'm not the one who needs to worry about that.

It's you and Pyo Myunghak.

[siren wails]

Do you remember what you learned? The shoulder throw?

Forget it. Throwing big men will give you a herniated disc.

Just beat them with the police baton, okay?

No, I'll give it a try.

[Hyunkyung] I'm more worried about Detective Woo.

He should live up to his size.

Do you know why I don't use my fists?

It's because people will die if I use my fists.

[Hyunkyung] Whatever. It's dangerous, so stay in the back.

[Sohee] Let's wrap things up and eat out.

[Hyunkyung] All right. What will we eat?

- How about spicy pork? - [Donggi] Spicy pork again?

[Hyunkyung] Seriously? Inspector Cha, don't be like that.

[sighs]

[slams phone down]

[sighs] What's going on? Why haven't we heard from them?

[sighs] Here.

- [walkie-talkie beeps] - What happened?

- [walkie-talkie beeps] - [Sohee] Chairman Yang Seokchan.

I'm Lieutenant Min Sohee of Namgang Police Station.

- Please open the door. - [walkie-talkie beeps]

Damn it!

- Hey, break it open. - Okay.

[gate clanging]

[Seokchan] Hey, Jungwook.

Go out from the back door. I'll take care of this.

Let's go.

Gosh, there's a lot.

Raise your hand if you're in a tracksuit.

Who's wearing a tracksuit? Okay.

Take care of the tracksuits.

Hands down. Suits, raise your hand.

Who's wearing a suit?

Okay. Inspector Cha, they're ours.

- Okay. - [Sohee] Put them down.

Tracksuits, that way. Suits, this way.

- This way? - [Sohee] Yes.

All right.

[Sohee] Thank you.

[Seokchan] You punks, get it together. Okay?

Have you punks lost your minds?

How dare you come here with just three people?

Chairman, there are four.

Isn't he one of us?

- He's one of us! - Excuse me? I'm a police officer!

Hey, a police officer shouldn't look

- like that. - [scoffs]

I look cuter than you. You look like my toe.

That's too far.

[sighs]

Guys.

Go get them.

- [Donggi grunts] - [Sohee] All right.

[minions shout]

[all grunting]

[minion 1 exclaims]

- [minion 2 shouts] - [Sohee grunting]

- [metal clanging] - [minions groaning]

[Hyunkyung grunting]

- [minion 3 shouts] - [Donggi growls]

[minion 4] Hey! You bastard!

- [impact thuds] - [Donggi grunts]

[minion 5 shouts]

[pants]

[people groaning, shouting]

[Donggi] Mr. Toe.

You're here.

[grunts]

- [sighs] For goodness' sake. Hey. - [Donggi panting]

Hey, bring it on.

Come on.

[exclaims]

[both grunting]

[groans]

- [Hyunkyung grunts] - [minion 6 grunts]

[Sohee groans] I'm exhausted.

[Hyunkyung] Lieutenant, leave them to us.

- Catch Pyo Jungwook. - Okay.

Go that way. I'll go this way.

- [Donggi groans] - Gosh.

[Seokchan grunting]

- [Hyunkyung grunts] - [Seokchan groans]

[Hyunkyung strains]

[both grunt]

Damn it.

[tires screech]

Mr. Pyo Jungwook. Let's go now.

Get in while I'm asking nicely.

[panting]

How entertaining.

You guys are trying so hard.

Come here.

[all grunting]

- All right. - [Sohee] Hey.

[grunting continues]

[Hyunkyung, Seokchan grunting]

[Jungwook exclaims]

[Hyunkyung groans]

What do you think you're doing?

- Why do you punks keep bothering... - [Donggi panting]

[Seokchan] What's this? Hey, what the hell?

- Let go of me, you bastard! - [Donggi groans]

- Let go of me. - Hey! [grunts]

[Seokchan groans]

[grunting continues]

[Jungwook exclaims]

- Let go! - [Hyunkyung] Mr. Yang Seokchan.

You're under arrest for conspiracy and aiding and abetting murder.

It wasn't me! Let go of me!

- [grunts] - [metal clangs]

[sighs]

- Assisting in murder? - [Taeju] Yes, sir.

Where are they now?

They were moved to Namgang Police Station.

[inhales sharply] I told them to keep things down!

[sighs] Okay.

[reporter] At Seoul Namgang Police Station,

Chairman Yang Seokchan of YSC Constructions

and Pyo Jungwook, Commissioner General Pyo's son,

are confined for conspiracy and attempted murder.

[sighs] Namgang Police Station is

the talk of the town these days.

I've hated getting attention ever since I was in middle school.

My favorite phrase is "safe and sound."

That was why I became a civil servant.

Commissioner General Pyo's son, a gangster-turned-chairman...

And who was the other one? The man named Kim something.

The murder suspect who's an analyst at National Forensic Service.

[sighs, clicks fingers]

Are you sure this is something we can handle?

Why can't we handle it?

If it's too much, Criminal Division can take over.

[Jaedeok] Hold on. That isn't what's important.

We should consider the severity of the situation and choose our direction.

It sounds like you want us to come up with a frame before the investigation.

Why would you twist my words?

[Yeom] Your words were loaded.

- [Jaedeok] My words weren't loaded. - [Yeom] Listen...

Quiet!

Don't you understand the current situation?

Let's put aside the other matters.

What should we do about Pyo Jungwook, Commissioner General's son?

When he was brought in for Lieutenant Min's father's case,

we used all our might.

What happened as a result? Captain Jung got a disciplinary action.

What makes you think it won't happen again?

Then we'll arrest him again,

no matter what it takes.

Pyo Jungwook is the driver who caused my father's accident.

He's the murderer who ran over Lee Hyunsoo.

He has conspired and attempted the murder of Kim Minsung.

We have enough evidence.

So why couldn't we put him behind bars?

There's only one reason.

Because we feigned ignorance.

We turned a blind eye.

It resulted in a second criminal, like Kim Minsung.

Perhaps he may get away again, just like last time.

Then we should arrest him again and again

until the end.

You can't enter.

What do you mean Kim Minsung is off-limits?

Excuse me.

No one can visit him without Director General Lee's permission.

We're the ones who arrested him.

- [detectives clamor] - Director General Lee is in charge, okay?

[Donggi huffs]

- [detective] Go back. - [Donggi sighs]

[Hyunkyung sighs]

Mr. Kim Hyunmin.

Do you admit to Yang Jaeyoung's murder?

What did you do to Mr. Han Kyungsoo?

You tried to murder Pyo Jungwook too, right?

[sighs]

What was the reason?

Because you lot couldn't do it.

Because you lot couldn't punish those bastards.

That's why…

That's why my wife

was murdered by those bastards.

Why do you think the victims killed your wife?

Han Kyungsoo has testified.

[Kyungsoo, on laptop] I told him not to do it.

[Taeju] Is this what you're talking about?

…that we shouldn't leave her be.

But he said she saw his face.

He said we must kill her.

- [buzzing] - [Kyungsoo groaning]

- [screaming] - [buzzing continues]

[clicks]

This footage was from the dashcam of your car.

Didn't you get this testimony through torture?

[Sung] A coerced confession.

As for the video of Han Kyungsoo, the evidence is inadmissible.

A confession that's obtained through torture, violence, or threat

is inadmissible due to coercion.

[chuckles]

How about attempted murder?

[chuckles]

Wasn't it the work of Chairman Yang's subordinates?

Kim Minsung was the one who asked to meet first.

Once he heard that Kim Minsung wanted to meet,

Chairman Yang lost his mind and took an unpremeditated action.

Painting this as attempted murder would be nonsense. [chuckles]

Right?

[chuckles]

- Lawyer Sung, you're good. - Please raise my salary.

- Of course. - [both chuckling]

We're painting the attempted murder of Kim Minsung

as Chairman Yang's unpredicted action.

Since Han Kyungsoo's testimony came under duress,

it isn't admissible evidence.

Unless Han Kyungsoo is still alive.

I feel bad for Chairman Yang,

but I'll use this chance to cut all ties

before the public say I'm connected to a gang.

I'll give the reporters some breadcrumbs regarding Chairman Yang's corruption.

Okay. You're in charge of the rabbit hunt.

How's Jungwook doing?

He met Lawyer Sung and came up with a defense strategy.

He's eating well too.

Keep an eye on Kim Minsung. Make sure he doesn't run his mouth.

Don't worry, sir.

My men are watching him 24 hours a day.

[sighs]

Taeju.

You're nearly there.

Don't let your guard down.

Yes, sir.

[clicks tongue, sighs] By the way,

where could he be?

Han Kyungsoo.

[pen clicks]

[pen clicks]

- [pen clicks] - Captain,

at least pretend to fill out the report.

It's just a formality.

Chaeman.

[pen clicks]

Okay?

Hello.

- Hello. - Min Sohee, why are you here?

- Did you get disciplinary action too? - No.

I need to see Captain for a second.

[whispering] Captain, let's have a cup of tea.

Put that down.

- [Chaeman coughs] - Goodbye.

Have a nice day. Thank you.

All right.

[sniffs] Here.

I'm happy to see everyone here.

[Hyunkyung] You should be annoyed, not happy.

We had to visit the police administration in order to meet Captain.

Where's Kim Minsung?

He's in the holding cell. Lee Taeju won't let us approach him.

It's obvious he'll quickly get a warrant and wrap up the case.

That's Director General Lee's specialty.

And the analysis of the tire mark on Lee Hyunsoo's body?

It wasn't in Kim Minsung's house or car.

I checked with National Forensic Service,

but materials from 2014 were discarded at the beginning of the year.

If Han Kyungsoo is alive, we might be able to find a way.

There's something on my mind.

At Kim Minsung's house, there were photos of those who were involved.

Han Kyungsoo's photo wasn't marked.

Kim Minsung has another hideout.

What about the dashcam on his car?

Director General Lee's team took all the materials.

Cheongmyeong 405.

Mr. Pyo Jungwook.

Do you admit to aiding and abetting

Mr. Kim Minsung's murder and the murder of Lee Hyunsoo?

I have nothing to say without my lawyer.

Mr. Han Kyungsoo revealed it all.

What you did that night.

He revealed how you murdered Lee Hyunsoo.

Is that so? Han Kyungsoo?

He was tortured.

What was it? A coerced confession?

A confession that's obtained under duress is inadmissible due to coercion.

You're a police officer, so you must know.

[chuckles]

Come on in.

[sighs]

Let's resume after your lawyer gets here.

[breathes shakily] You messed with the wrong person.

Mr. Cha Yeonho.

The world is

quite unfair.

But that's just how it is.

The world.

[chuckling]

[chuckling continues]

How long will you stall?

It's a human rights violation.

You'd better be prepared if you can't get a warrant in 48 hours.

Uncuff him.

- [person grunts] - [crutches tapping]

[grunts]

What are you doing here?

THREE HOURS AGO

What about the dashcam on his car?

Director General Lee's team took all the materials.

[inhales sharply] Not all of them.

[sighs, grunts]

The footage from his dashcam. I backed it up just in case.

- [gasps] Seriously? - [Sohee yelps] Well done!

[tires screech]

Han Kyungsoo.

Are you okay? Han Kyungsoo.

[Sohee] Are you okay?

[Hyunkyung] Can you walk?

Hey, Jungwook.

Let's stop now.

[scoffs] Stop what? What did we do?

- You killed that woman. - Shut up, you fool!

[Sohee] Sit down, Pyo Jungwook.

[breathing shakily]

[whispering] Please calm down.

[Yeonho] Pyo Jungwook.

This is just the beginning.

From now on,

I'll make you pay for all your sins.

Hey. Say something.

[panting]

Why...

Why are you all out to get me?

- Why? - Take him outside.

[panting continues]

- [Donggi] Come here. - Damn it.

- Let go of me! - [Donggi] Come here.

[Jungwook] Let go!

Damn it!

It's insufferable!

[screaming]

Why do you think Mr. Kim Minsung kept you alive?

Although it's late,

you should testify truthfully in court.

That's the only way to atone for what you did

to Kim Minsung and the late Lee Hyunsoo.

I'm sorry.

[Kyungsoo breathing shakily]

[sniffs] I'm so sorry.

I…

I'm sorry. [sobbing]

I'm sorry.

Pyo Jungwook, the son of Commissioner General Pyo Myunghak,

was confined for a murder charge at Seoul Namdong Detention Center.

Along with Yang Seokchan, Chairman of YSC Constructions,

Mr. Pyo was under investigation for conspiracy and attempted murder.

He was also charged for the accident at Eundong Junction ten years ago

and murdering the victim, Ms. Lee, by running her over.

Meanwhile, Mr. Pyo's father, Commissioner General Pyo Myunghak

was the chief of Eunseong Police Station at the time of the accident...

[breathing heavily]

THE PYO FATHER AND SON'S DIRTY TRUTH

[laugh track plays on video]

TEN YEARS AGO, PYO MYUNGHAK

CHIEF OF EUNSEONG POLICE STATION RECEIVED A CALL

[narrator imitating Jungwook] Father, I'm in trouble.

[imitating Myunghak] Don't worry. I'll take care of everything.

Commissioner General Pyo put the blame on Mr. Cha, a college student,

and turned his son, Pyo Jungwook, into a witness.

Pyo Jungwook currently uses drugs and drives aggressively

and leads the life of a true gangster.

[in robotic voice] I'm a gangster.

Gosh, Koreans are quite talented.

How are they so creative?

That's right. This is the power of Korean content.

Who uploaded this video?

It's someone you know.

Someone I know?

[reporters clamoring] He's coming out.

Over here.

[reporter] Do you have anything to say?

[Ha] I didn't think you'd actually catch him. You are all incredible.

- It's thanks to you, Reporter Ha. - [Ha] No way.

The timing was perfect, right?

Yes.

What? Were you the one who uploaded that video?

Well, he asked me to do it.

You guys did it without my knowledge.

You could get into trouble if it becomes known.

I wouldn't have uploaded it if I were afraid of trouble.

- [Sohee sighs] - [Ha] Just you wait.

I'm preparing a second video.

[clamoring continues]

Father, when can I leave?

This place is cold and suffocating.

[Myunghak] You can't leave for a while.

What?

I have a press conference today.

Including the past accident, I know nothing of your wrongdoings.

They were the actions of my immature son when he was mentally unstable.

I'm the unrighteous father who failed to educate his son.

[breathes shakily]

What?

I knew that you were unrighteous.

Are you cutting ties with your son too?

What would you do if I tried to bring you down?

If you want a reduced sentence,

you need me in my position on the outside.

So please just keep your mouth shut.

"It's all my fault. My father is unrelated."

Repeat those words like a parrot.

Understood?

[gasps, whimpering]

My goodness, you're something else.

I still have so much to learn from you.

[phone buzzing]

COMMISSIONER GENERAL PYO MYUNGHAK

Please give me more radish kimchi.

[server] Okay. Radish kimchi.

[line ringing]

[ringing stops]

- Please enjoy. - Thank you.

[reporters clamoring]

[reporter 1] A word, please.

[reporter 2] Please say a few words.

[sighs]

Go home.

[sniffling]

So please just keep your mouth shut.

"It's all my fault. My father is unrelated."

Repeat those words like a parrot.

Understood?

Cha Yeonho.

Cha Yeonho! Hey, Cha Yeonho!

[screaming] Bring Cha Yeonho here!

I have something to say! Bring Cha Yeonho!

[guard] Be quiet.

[panting]

[inhales deeply, sighs]

Where are you going?

Why are you…

You are…

Pyo Myunghak.

If you try anything funny,

you'll end up at the bottom of a river with me.

[engine revs]

CRASH

[Hyunkyung] Commissioner General Pyo was kidnapped.

- Stop the car! - Jungwook's father made me do it.

- We need direct evidence. - There might be an evidence.

Sir, let's get a jump on them.

Get out!

Nothing is over yet.

[prosecutor] I'd like to call

Commissioner General Pyo Myunghak as a witness.

I had some business at the inspection office.

- The unlicensed taxi case. - Give it a go.

[judge] As he was underage at the time of the crime…

I give my verdict.

[Jungsub] Pyo Myunghak will use any means to evade responsibility.

[Yeonho] I won't let that happen.
