Lemmings say he was going to bring this

pipeline in please like yes right over

that's going to be quite a problem

bringing that water over the East Range

isn't it oh not for a man like Dunning

oh he's a smart fellow maybe he is yeah

oh Excuse Me Miss Patton I was talking

to my two friends here you see me I saw

them in the lobby a few minutes ago

thank you

have you seen the two men I came to town

with well yes they're up in Suite 214.

Suite 214. we're going up and see them

I'm sure it'll be all right with them

but what are they doing up there I don't

know why ever probably into the personal

affairs of the guests

so I said

what do you tell him well it's like

it's like last two days and the dancing

contest it's tonight and the brunt

contest is tomorrow so we thought you

thought what well California

the bridal sweet no and you better win

that contest money too oh sure

[Music]

things out when he was in the store a

while ago running me competition at oh

you'll win hands down in that suit it

fine on you

looks like he'd been poured into it well

offering today

now if you don't mind I I'd like to get

back to the hotel you've got to get back

I gotta get back but you're not as

important as I am I have to judge the

concept ah we don't need no judge I'm

the best Square dancer in the country

where's my old clothes right over there

oh no no I remember they're in the

dressing room

surprised well maybe I should do that

Trail what decision are free how's

California he's all right hoppy you know

what a hard head he has never mind whose

head is hard to solved I want those

robbers apprehended or you'll be looking

for a new job now look here Franklin no

familiarity address me as your honor all

right your Runner will be on the trail

Again by Daylight by daylight they'll be

well out of our reach or anyone else's

for that matter and what would you

suggest

that's what a lot to say but I will say

this much

I'm going to hold a mayor responsible

for my law

suits to me

a thief

[Music]

I found a stolen money

stop talking at once now jet what is it

you're trying to tell me follow me

you better disarm them too

why ask because your partner California

has the money and I wouldn't be

surprised but when you're in on it too

oh you're around you're mine Jim oh no I

ain't just take the guns I'll prove what

I said all right boys let me have the

guns

there you are

all right let's go

over there Huffy I'll show you

fire I just

their change

careful how you talk Mister are you sure

that's where you put it yeah sure sure

I'm sure I ain't crazy did you or did

you not take the money all right Sheriff

do your duty hoppy you're not going to

let him take California are you what

else can I do Lucky California admits he

had the money Jed so I'm with it now

it's gone what about these two we'll be

right here we're just as anxious to see

this cleared up as you are don't try to

leave town

come on you come along with me now wait

a minute come on

up here just remember something I'll go

on with the sheriff and don't give us

any more trouble

our whole celebration is ruined well I

wouldn't get too upset about it your

honor I'm sure after he's had a good

night's sleep he'll talk you think so oh

yes he he usually talks in the morning

he better this could develop into a very

nasty Affair particularly when you

consider the losses of the ranchers in

this community you don't seem upset

about your own money well that's his

honors worry oh Mr Dunning Mr Dunning

please be patient

enjoy your wife

what goes on here anyway you know

California didn't steal that money of

course he didn't lucky and he'll

probably never forgive me then why did

you let them take him do you know why

they put cheese in rat traps to catch

rats

stunning

everything all right in town yeah it's

made a perfect getaway come on open it

up quick I want to Fan out at you I mean

to say you haven't taken your share yet

no we touched it we've been waiting for

you well you can have the honor of

making the split according to your

figures anyway ought to have over a

hundred thousand about

what is this a joke

you better show me that money pretty

quick by the way that gun is not to one

of your double cross it shows me that

money none of us have the money you left

it in town ah quite a mystery Danny

you remember bumping into a man when you

left the bank

yeah yeah I knocked him down before he

could get away that's what he was

carrying a suitcase too you must have

grabbed the wrong one where does the old

coot he's in jail we robbed the bank and

you give it right back to him

that up

at least we have someone to blame for

the robbery what good is that without

the money

I know I just happen to think of

something Danny

ten thousand dollars of your cash was in

it

you're gonna look like you're worried

much

we'll recover the right suitcase let's

go we can't do anything tonight

the man you bumped into is still dizzy

but when he starts talking we'll be

there you bet we will now look you two

meet me at the edge of town in the

morning

hell you come with me now okay

arrived at a very bad time but I assure

you with this unfortunate Affair will be

very quickly taken care of Mr Castle

this is Mr Hill he's an associate

engineer on our project are there

there's no you sir Mr Jenkins

entire lucky to be here I lost my way

[Music]

[Music]

they're taking the prisoner out of jail

now we better go for the investigation

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

no no stay outside for a while and then

come inside and don't attract any

attention

remember what I told you about a trap

yeah looks like the rats are going for

the children

[Music]

this comes off like you expected to me

too

[Music]

slept all night like a baby how's your

head California

I think I remembered well come on good

let's go inside

room and don't let them get you excited

just take your time yeah I'll go slow

opened it up and of course home was

reading I never saw so much money in all

my porn all the money I had in the bank

Falls were dog gone and I never counted

it of course you didn't only count up to

two dollars then what you do now don't

rush me after all I was hit in the head

all right go on go on wish you ever

hitting an oven or something to try to

remember yes I know well try it

sometimes dog this ain't a billion ball

you know it's

sure

[Music]

what do you want you leaving town find

your own business wait a minute what do

you want I want the suitcase you got in

[Music]

thank you

look over that window

keep them busy

[Music]

all right come and get them

we've been robbed again what happened to

the money I think the mayor can tell you

where it is but I I can what do you mean

you'll come back to the hotel with me

I'll see that the mayor produces the

money oh go ahead Frank well I've never

been so unjustly accused of complicity

come on come on come on come on get

going yeah yeah

[Applause]

along with Me Frank you know Absolutely

I'll wait a minute I found the money

last night and addressed with you in

case anything happened to me some of

that money belongs to me some of it did

belong to you now it belongs to the

state they'll decide what to do with it

and you too no I remember there's the

fellow I sold the other suitcase to well

that's too bad you didn't remember

sooner all right Sheriff take them along

all right I'll explain the failure of

the water projects to the people oh I'm

sure any explanation you give me your

honor will be perfectly all right

yeah this is I I guess it will he comes

if he comes there's the trumpet stands

the drums here he comes

[Music]

Wedding Bells were about to ring for my

friend lucky

huh here it is so this is the last

chance this is it sure be glad to see

Mary so happy what'll I say to him

nothing is that all

[Music]

you sure this is the right place lucky

sure all the Prospectors live here there

is another place within 100 miles well

maybe we got here too early doesn't seem

to be anybody up yet I can't understand

it

Mary said to be sure and get here by

Daybreak her uncle wanted to have an

early wedding so we could get away

before noon maybe we got here too late

and Mary's had to change your heart same

thing happened to me oh don't bring that

up again hello anybody Here

you're sure this is an end not a funeral

pirate what can I do for you gentlemen

oh hello there looking hi Mr Potter glad

to see you Mr Potter owns this place I

want you to meet Mr Cassidy my best man

and Mr Carlson how do you do sir Adam Mr

Pottery where's Mary where's the

ministry you left about an hour ago what

why

spend and feel like getting married I

guess

I understand it

where is she where's her uncle Mr

Benton's been gone all morning couldn't

say where oh he'll be back a little

while nothing to worry about

oh he's lucky

so glad you're here Mary what happened

Uncle Jim isn't here I'm terribly

worried about him well he'll show up in

time for the wedding but you don't

understand he didn't just go away all

these things are in his room his horse

is in the barn it just doesn't make

sense oh now don't you worry Mary I want

you to meet Mr Cassidy and Mr Carlson

how do you do Mr Cassidy hello Mary

I'm awfully sorry this had to happen to

upset you is there anything I can do for

you thank you I don't believe there's

anything we can do but just hope and

wait

oh but you might be wasting valuable

time

could I see your uncle's room

certainly anything you say down this

hallway please

there was nothing in her uncle's room to

explain his sudden disappearance

[Music]

you think it's something serious happy I

hope not but people don't just vanish

Into Thin Air you know I'll say they

don't happy

[Music]

wow who are you my name's Duke I'm the

handyman if you want anything call me

thanks for letting us know anything you

want for me oh

say uh when was the last time you saw Mr

Benton last night at supper table

ah come on now you can do better than

that could be I saw him kiss miss Mary

good night yeah and what time was that

around 10 o'clock did you see anything

unusual during the night

no sir when I sleep I sleep thanks Duke

given a great help now I understand

everything

we've got to join the other

what do you think coffee I think I'm

gonna need my guns will you get my

saddlebag oh

Mr Cassidy yes

find anything not a thing I was just

telling Earl that Ben will probably show

up pretty soon and then the laugh will

be on us I'm Earl Western Mr Cassidy

I've heard a great deal about you from

Lucky how do you do sir my partner and I

are working a claim a short ways from

bentons I took the day off to be on hand

for the wedding too bad this had to

happen yes it is

you say your claim is next to Benton

that's right

are you going back to your place nothing

else for me to do under the

circumstances I wonder if you'd mind

taking me along I'd like to have a look

at Benton's mind

certainly not I'd be glad to thanks

see you later

thanks California

oh Mr Wesson this is Mr California

Carlson hi Russian how you doing sir

will you tell the others I'll be back

later sure but don't you think you ought

to eat something first no I'll eat later

but don't let that spoil your appetite

[Music]

foreign

[Music]

[Music]

this is Ben's mind our claims are short

way is further down huh the only idea

what Benton did with his gold he never

discussed his personal affairs with me

but I suppose it stashed away somewhere

same as ours is till we get a chance to

take it into town I see I think I'll

take a look inside I'd better go with

you you might get lost all right

[Music]

thank you

[Applause]

what that's Benton that's him all right

how'd he get up here

[Music]

he walked all the way from here you're

right about that

but maybe he was already dead when he

left the end

[Music]

what are we going to do Cassidy

no

I can't move him till the sheriff gets

here I suppose I get my partner sent him

after the sheriff meantime you and I can

try to pick up the Killer's Trail all

right go ahead and get him I'll wait

here I think he'll be safe I think so

that's what you're saying we'll be back

as soon as we can right

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

thank you

[Music]

foreign

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

what's up Cassidy you all right well

sure I'm all right this is my partner

Bart Lansing how do you do sir how do

you do you just missed Benton's Killer

by a few minutes he's someplace in there

oh then he's gone that mountain is

crisscross with tunnels leading out of

here well why don't we see if we can

pick up his Trail it suits me Cassidy

you know I hold no brief for this type

of killer neither do I let's go

after a fruitless search for the killer

hello Mr Potter getting a little fresher

yeah can't stay indoors all day long

brother Larry Mr Cassidy now you do

hello Mr Cassidy it must be nice to have

a brother around to help out well I

don't know about that

well doesn't Larry run the place for you

uh no I'm I'm only visiting here Larry's

in another line of business he doesn't

like the desert life is too quiet around

here to suit him I see to The Stables

Larry

foreign

[Music]

[Applause]

what are you doing here

I need a room for the night I thought

you and I were through for good we are

but let's not bring that up again are

you gonna put me up

sure I'll put you up well Jesse Williams

well Cassidy

my but it's good to see you what brings

you to this part of the desert well I

sticked out a claim up the hill and I

just Panda dry everybody's getting rich

around here except me

and what could have brought you here

happy don't tell me the gold one's got

you too oh you know me better than that

Jesse ranching is my business friend of

mine are supposed to get married here

today yeah I know to the Benton gal did

her uncle turn up yet

how did you know about that bad news

travels fast

it wouldn't be the first time a man's

disappeared from here but Benton didn't

just disappear he was killed

use a kill yeah I found his body in the

mind your room's ready Jesse all right

Potter

nice room off the hall thanks for

putting me up don't thank me you'll look

it was taken the next morning I went

looking for Jesse Williams

[Music]

nobody in this room Mr Cassidy well I

happen to know different Jesse Williams

had disappeared and so had his bag of

gold where is Williams he left early

this morning

said he was sorry but he couldn't wait

and asked me to tell you goodbye

I see thanks

I'm Sheriff Thompson and you're Jeff

Potter aren't you that's the name you

know the new circuit Sheriff right I

hear you've been having some trouble a

man by the name of Benton that's been

killed and robbed no trouble here

Sheriff Ben's been killed in the mine

out in my place but he's lived here

hasn't he so I'm going to start from

here

very well sure if the place is yours not

yourself

I'm hop along Cassidy Sheriff maybe I

can help you out thanks know anything

about this Benton Mr Cassidy no not much

but I I can show you where his body is

and I have reason to believe that my

friend Jesse Williams has been killed

too another murder when did that happen

last night maybe you better take me to

Benton first and we'll see about

Williams later I'm ready Sheriff we'll

go with you hoppy no you two stay here

and keep your eyes open and lucky you

better tell Mary about her uncle

[Music]

[Music]

bro

well that's a spot where we found button

I'm positive you mean somebody came in

here and moved the corpse well

apparently

take this life

[Music]

[Applause]

thank you

all right Cassidy

you all right Cassidy I'm all right

Sheriff this is Earl Weston how do you

do you know Bart Lansing sure Western

was with me when I found Benton we saw

you two riding up for the mine but

couldn't make out who you were can't

blame us for not taking any chances

Sheriff I certainly don't not in a place

where even the dude aren't safe

Benton has disappeared what how's that

possible well apparently the same man

that shot at me and the mind came back

and removed the body and what are we

waiting for there's four of us here to

go after him if he's still around we got

everything to gain and nothing to lose

let's go

[Music]

doesn't accomplish very much today well

up to me I'd keep on trailing that

killer all night well you don't catch a

rattlesnake by rushing head on into it

see you dinner gentleman right

thank you

fine dinner putter well I've had a long

day I'm going to turn in good night

excuse me please

I'd like to speak to you sure

[Music]

I'm Ian Cassidy

what's on your mind

is this going to be your room for the

night yes anything wrong with it um

nothing except the Fentons and Williams

had it before you well thanks for the

warning but the killer won't have

another chance I know who he is

[Music]

you know who he is

oh

Potter you mean Jeff no Larry Potter I

know him from Texas he's wandered there

on the same charge murder

you think he recognized you I'm sure he

didn't

or what are you gonna arrest him as soon

as I get enough evidence to tie him up

with the Benton and Williams cases yeah

well he might weaken and show his hand

before you want him to that's just what

I'm banking on

what about my spending the night here

with you don't worry about me I have a

pair of good eyes and ears and my gun

yeah but four eyes and ears are better

well I sure appreciate your cooperation

but that would only make Larry

suspicious all right Sheriff I guess you

know best Vanessa good night

[Music]

just before getting ready for bed I

heard a strange noise and decided to

investigate

all that Larry

where's Thompson I I don't know what

have you done with him nothing I swear

then what are you doing in this room

[Music]

foreign

[Music]

yeah he'd make it a getaway keep an eye

on Potter I think he can walk

[Music]

[Music]

thank you

all right

[Music]

thank you

[Music]

I've been waiting for you Cassidy what

happened to Larry

I'm sorry to have to tell you this Mr

Potter

Larry was killed

we got there too late to save him how do

I know you're telling the truth maybe

you killed him yourself you don't know

me very well do you so we'll let it go

at that I'm a law-abiding citizen and

this is a respectable place what gives

you the right to write as if you were

the law around here

that Mr Potter unless Thompson shows up

I'll continue the search for him as well

as Jesse Williams any objections

[Music]

foreign

sure is a funny coincidence all these

happenings in this room it's more than a

coincidence lucky three men don't

disappear from the same room for no

reason

maybe Potter's the reason after all he

owns a place

that could be a man doesn't pose as an

invalid without a good reason for doing

so how'd you find that out I found the

wheelchair empty when I went back Potter

was in it then why don't we do something

about it I can't do anything till I

catch him walking

who sleeps upstairs Bart Lansing

come in

I heard you were here my partner and I

are pulling up Stakes Cassidy but first

we're going into town to round up a

posse where the Potter likes it or not

well thanks for letting me know you and

Lansing go right ahead all right see you

when I get back right

you two stay here and keep an eye on

Potter I might be going all day but

don't worry about me where are you going

that depends

and I was catching

I'm sorry I was late I saved something

for you hoppy nope no thanks I'll just

have a cup of coffee

do you have any luck getting the Posse

together yes but the men won't get here

until sometime tomorrow I'm sure glad

we'll be gone by then

that's what you'd better do Mr Cassidy

if you want to take my advice can't

blame you folks for the way you feel

seems like there's a curse on this place

the only complaint I have with this

place is that I can't get a good night's

rest are you too crowded Where You Are

no it's the it's just that I can't stand

California snoring

Poppy I don't snore I just breathe loud

uh well there's still a vacant room

downstairs if you care to have it not

that room hobby well what's the matter

with that well it's a good idea I'll

take it you can what is this a bad case

of jitters see what I mean Cassidy next

they'll try to make me out of murderer

oh I still had the use of my legs all

this wouldn't have happened

yeah I've still got two good hands have

I ever come across the man that killed

my brother

to wait Potter

the Killer is right in this room

not so smart Lansing I followed you

today

you didn't ride in the town to round up

a posse you didn't work your claim

either it was easier to get rich on the

other man's work wasn't it

little Common Sense looks like it didn't

lose quite enough

counts

Williams and Thompson if you need any

more information you can reach me at the

capturing these two he'll do his

partisan material Witness

fire start and get some hot water ready

happen to her I'll be back soon as I can

puppy you ain't going into there yeah

Devil's Playground

it's almost midnight

I figured that whoever wanted the girl

might be hiding nearby in the Devil's

Playground seemed the likeliest place to

begin the search

[Music]

foreign

[Music]

hello there where's the trail out of

here anyhow

who got up there

well that's just me

[Applause]

what's the idea of sneaking down on us

you got me wrong mister I wasn't

sneaking down you're not trying to find

my way out of this place where have you

been someone hoverboards are good to see

might be with you I guess it wasn't that

you heard well who are you I'm Hopalong

Cassidy and what are you doing out in

the Devil's Playground at night well I

might ask you the same thing Mr Martin

Judge Martin this is Mr Roberts and this

is Mr Wolf howdy and this is shorty

the ever faithful shorty he was very

devoted to my daughter until until what

she was oh no we must explain to Mr

Cassidy perhaps he can help us

she

she shot herself

well why would she do that well she

she wasn't exactly herself lately oh I

see

what does your daughter look like

well she's a brunette now she has blue

eyes

said on a brown divided skirt oh well I

wouldn't worry too much about her Judd

she's not badly hurt

you know where she is I think I found it

sorry Mr Cassidy you must take me to her

at once boy saddle up quick shorty you

stay here and pack up we'll come back a

little later

sure get going

[Music]

Please Mr Cassidy

Mr Roberts

shoot better go back and Warren shorty

to be sure and put out the fire right

Georgette

it was early morning when we reached the

land Shack

even asleep never closed night all night

not a peep out of her that's good

perhaps you better let me talk with her

alone first my boy all right

where's California still under the wind

I guess no no there he is out there 10

in the horses

where is she

we're heading there why isn't she in

there no

where is she lucky uh I don't know I was

sure she was there okay we've been

robbed the Dallas horse is gone sold a

pair of my pants and I shared a head in

the line why when you get back well your

daughter must have slipped away while

these men were asleep gosh I'm sorry

hafia I don't know when I could play

acting cow Polk come on tell us where

she is hold it boys I think they're

telling the truth I think she's tricking

us again judge

well that's sneaking little Wildcat what

does she think she is anyway double

crossing us like this don't worry about

that she'll pay for it when we catch her

what's wrong what kind of talk is that

certainly strange coming from a worried

father what goes on here anyway I don't

know but we're gonna find out after a

while we'll write it and have a talk

with the sheriff we're gonna get ready

adjust a minute you don't mind if I have

a couple of wings sleep do you after all

you two had some sleep

after thinking it over I decided to

notify the nearest Sheriff of my

findings

let's do Blues Porky raise your half a

stack sure can I see you don't bother me

there's your Half Stack and outrageous

action I think you're bluffing Daniel so

I'm just going to call you man what do

you got

now what's on your mind I'd like to see

you in your private office this is

private enough for me coming in Daniel

no sir I'm cashing in speak up what's so

important I ran into a judge Morton a

couple of men called Robertson Wolf and

Little fellows judge Morton what's he

doing down here

what are you know him sure he's

Consolidated old Morton was the judge

that sent curly Evans up for that

Soledad bank robbery you remember that

don't you Porky yeah never did find the

gold the curly stool remember they're

down here looking for it keep quiet

would you they say they're looking for a

girl judge Morton's daughter all right

judge Morton never had no daughter

you didn't know eight thousand a week

sure gosh Donna how can a man

concentrate with all this Jitter chatter

just what do you want I thought it might

be a good idea to bring those men in and

question them listen I had a question of

anybody on your say cell now get out of

here with them crazy ideas let me finish

my game

foreign

we should attend our own business but

that fella said the girl wasn't Morton's

daughter just like he thought yeah and

what about the gold and that uh what's

his name curly Evans

I remember hearing about him a couple of

years ago he's stole some gold and heard

away before they caught him

he never told where is he still in jail

I don't know lucky

there are a lot of things I don't know

for instance what that little fellow was

trying to tell me last night

hey I forgot about him maybe I can get

to him before the judge does

[Music]

yeah the judge must defeated oh

[Music]

thank you

foreign

[Music]

that's what the judge sent him back here

for he's afraid the little fella is

going to tell me something

and they killed him to keep him from

talking

and so the poor little

what's this

did you make it out to be happy it's a

map of the Devil's Playground what do

you suppose it's for I'm not sure yet

you boys load him on the horse will you

where are we taking him hoppy the

sheriff as soon as I make a copy of this

map

after taking care of shorty I set out

following the map

you know this little spot on this man's

been bothering me I wonder Paul hoppy

forgets the map that girl's in trouble

we've got to help her yeah I know but we

gotta find her first that's kind of tall

order ain't it not knowing where she's

gone maybe and I've got an idea she's

heading to the same little spot and

that's where we're heading what if we

meet up with a posse that's out looking

for the gal I don't think they'll be

looking where we're going

[Applause]

[Music]

according to this map we turn left right

here

look Hoppy

[Music]

certain it makes it tough to try to help

her doesn't she

[Applause]

[Music]

let me take her off

[Music]

[Applause]

take it easy Miss

[Applause]

you hurt your arm missed I'm sorry

we had a message to help you

message from home surely where is he

I hate to tell you miss Shorty's dead

Robert stabbed him

well you might try trusting us

then I trust you

hold on I'm afraid we're not going to be

able to help you

why don't you tell me what this is all

about

how much do you know already

well I'm not sure of anything

but I suspect you're not judge Morton's

daughter no and I think you know where

curly Evans hit the sound of that gold

yes that's right

why did Morton try to kill you

because I have the only map showing

where the gold is hidden and Martin

wants to go for himself

it's a tough spot for a gal to be in

not as bad as it sounds I have

go ahead shorty

he used to guard me in my cradle

well he died for me

has more than ever seen that man

nobody has except shorty when I knew

Morton was after it I told shorty in

case something happened to me yeah and

right now they're in humpy's place all

right lucky then you will help me we

won't leave you until you're safe and

sound in the sheriff's hands but I don't

want to go to the sheriff

but he's the law here he's the one the

handle this that's what I thought about

Judge Morton but I was wrong and curly

was right that much gold will attempt

any man not us no we'll help you bring

it out no we won't that has to be

brought out legally it belongs to bank

and Soledad I Was a Fool to trust you

what is your connection with curly Evans

figure it out for yourself

I finally convinced the girl that I was

her friend and we set out to follow the

map together

as though judge Morton and his men had

some ideas of Their Own

[Music]

foreign

looks like that girl in them Cowboys are

probably heading for that goal

[Music]

all right

hey there we go Iceland California

offered an angle as a decoy

[Music]

somebody must have beat us to it judge

Morton I don't think so but I'll

investigate lucky you stay here and keep

your eyes open

foreign

[Music]

but it's me how did you get out of jail

I broke up oh but curly why

because I was tipped off that you were

coming here to get the gold

of course I was to get your sentence cut

so what are those men doing with you

they're here to help us

help us

he's going to trust

me I don't trust anybody

I've got to make sure it gets back to

its rightful owners Carly Morton and

these men will be here any minute it's

all right with me

plenty of ammunition

it's like the first man that comes near

this cave

I'm going to win Curry I'm coming in

all right come on matello's friends of

yours not to try any tricks

[Music]

did he believe we're your friends no he

says 10 hundred and thirst his lips are

made I'm kind of getting some water

foreign

[Music]

I hate to ask you to do this but there's

only one way we can get him out of there

alive will you trust me and do as I say

happy I'll do anything good walk into

the cave

stop there

Carly she has the water but she's not

bringing it in to you

you're coming out after it with your

hands up

probably no water and I can't

yes there is

showing this

pour it

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

go

[Applause]

[Music]

huh

we headed back to the line Shack with

curly and the gold

the judge of these men were not long in

picking up our Trail

California

[Music]

foreign

[Music]

[Applause]

[Applause]

all right lucky give him his gun

[Music]

how many shows you got lucky about a

half a dozen how about you California

just three happy I've got two this would

you see if it only shells in that closet

yeah

[Music]

there's none left

[Music]

I feel happy

[Music]

yeah here goes our last bullet

Morton has got nothing

give me that towel over there

[Music]

or die

say your flag

come out but remember we've got you

covered

hurry up

get outside with your hands up

[Applause]

I suppose you understand I can't let any

of you live and take chances on being

exposed okay Sex on Fire quick

I'm surprised that you losing your head

judge what do you mean we're getting the

gold coins don't burn

the next time I won't miss get there

guns boys California put some water on

those blankets

poppy it's Daniel in the U.S Marshal

the sheriff had notified the U.S Marshal

after all

[Applause]

well Martin

I see they finally caught up here

curly Evans

so you broke jail yes he did Marshall

but for only one reason to return that

goal he stole from the bank and Soledad

I see

well Kelly you've made one step in the

right direction you'll have to go back

to jail of course but I have an idea

you'll get time off your sentence for

trying to return stolen property

all right boys Let's Make a Move

I don't know how to ever thank you well

I enjoyed it and I'm sure California

lucky did too Miss

[Applause]

and how can I ever thank you well uh

the fact is missing there Comes A Time

in every man's life when he only gets

kind of Lonesome

sort of like a homeless Maverick oh you

must never feel that way you always have

a home with us

us already Mrs Evans coming

[Music]

surprise

you suspect that she was married all the

time didn't you

no

[Music]

well let's pack up and get back to Bar

20s

[Music]

here we go

[Music]

thank you

[Music]

nice work lucky well I don't think you

lost any stress uh if we did they'll

come in let's not experiment anymore

[Music]

when it rains anymore

in your old age nothing's happened for

weeks your normal Man of Action

sounds like what you're looking for

[Music]

who shot at you

[Music]

nobody shot at me I was after coyote in

the hen house and a trip from a gun

window oh look at those beautiful big

new Spurs well the little groups are big

in the mail order catalog so that's what

you said two months wages are for

California you've been took you better

get out of those things before you hang

yourself I'll break him in snow yeah

stay happy when are we gonna have some

real action around here I never go

looking for trouble peace and quiet

that's all I want from here on in yeah

we sure have had some time we sure have

but no more say Allah I'll bet my new

mail order boots against that Rawhide

Lariat of yours that you're up to your

neck in somebody's troubles before

you're a day older that's not bad

that's an old friend of mine from Fort

Sumner Colonel Jed Landy in any troubles

that old guy has he settles for the

whole regiment well Jed you finally

found fan Affairs to visit come in

unless Steve get a room ready for you

don't bother hoppy I can't stay oh come

and sit down

[Applause]

won't you hurry have something bothering

you

happy I need your help what's the matter

have you ever heard of a robbers Roost

called twin dudes

well yeah it's up in Guadalupe country I

thought the Rangers cleaned that out a

couple of years ago it hasn't stayed

clean and happy I believe my son Bruce

is up there working with those Outlaws

your son you mean the one with the Army

the lieutenant he was unfortunately he

got in with a bad loss a card game with

a civilian Gambler ended in a fight Ah

that's bad business Bruce is hot

tempered when he was reprimanded he

struck his commanding officer and

escaped the arresting Squad why don't

you go in and bring him back

I can't go in there but you can persuade

him to leave

Bruce should return and face the court

martial before he becomes a hunter

Criminal

when is the military Court convened two

weeks in the day are you sure he's a

twin dude a man answering Bruce's

description was seen during a sage hold

up near The Buttes

I think gang of Thieves will hold up in

there certainly won't want a stranger

coming to visit I know happy but you're

the man to handle that

all right yet I'm your man sounds like

the peace and quiet I've been looking

for

this was a job for me to handle alone so

I left a note for Lucky in California to

take care of things at the ranch while I

was gone

this is as far as you go mister this is

closed property

it's like an open Trail to me I said

this is as far as you go

seems to me you fellas had post some

signs that this was close to the public

there had to be another way in and I'd

try to find it

we made a split rock they'll not bother

us anymore

thank you

a dainty little thing for a gun man to

be carrying

hello boys

[Music]

thank you

there's no use registering we haven't

any rooms

and do you hear Miss I'm Jesse Dixon I

own this place

my name is Cassidy Bill Cassidy I'm a

Cattleman I said I have no vacancies for

a while even if I had a spare room I

wouldn't want a guest here under an

assumed name

[Applause]

planted letter I had told colonel

that job

don't look so surprised Captain Thompson

news travels fast up here especially bad

news Well I

just what are you doing up here

not looking for trouble

place is just what I need for well a

quiet rest my rooms are still filled

for the hospitality

hate to admit it but I never could

handle horses

the end yeah she runs everything and

everybody around it except me well have

you managed to get around it I have my

own little place up there in the Crags

my laboratory my spiders keep her scared

off

uh what I wouldn't give for a little

highlight like that that is without the

spiders

well things kind of settle down settle

down yeah the Inn looked like a nice

place for it but your daughter said she

had no rooms she did hey would you just

come right back with me she'll find room

for you when she hears you save my life

oh no thanks Professor I'll just Mosey

on up the trail and camp out no no

nothing at the sword now you come with

me that is if you'll drive my horses and

on the way down you can tell me about

your troubles maybe I can help you yes

maybe you can I'll pick up my other

horse I'll be right with you

now honey you know you can find a room

for my friend let's not be ungrateful

very well fine dear now you see what did

I tell you thanks Professor do

you do show Captain Thompson to room

seven if you don't mind

thanks Miss Dixon

[Applause]

what do you mean by turning a stranger

loose up here at a time like this

I thought if I turned him down Trail

he'd go away we had to straight up throw

the Crags luckily I stopped him did you

find out anything about him enough to

know that he's hiding from some sort of

trouble

we'd only arrived a few weeks earlier

I might have used him instead of your

weakling Landing

[Applause]

he's here he sure is

[Applause]

[Music]

oh boy

give me that get your hands off in it

I'll teach you the coverage

like

[Laughter]

hold of Pete's wagon well that oh I kind

of borrowed it that is yeah I can't

imagine how you borrowed it

yeah well then I also hold you here

land they asked me to come up here and

find his son Bruce and bring him back

any sign of him no not so far but

there's something going on around here

what they were talking about and they

cleaned us out of cartridges too yeah

start moving and keep your eye on Landy

couldn't figure out why these Renegades

had put on camera uniforms

[Applause]

my one of you miles and miles of Winding

Road

any minute now there'll be a shipment of

gold coming along that road headed for

the Denver mid

two hundred thousand dollars worth

oh that's your plan to rather midshipman

they won't even know they're being

robbed

here they come

right on time

excuse me gentlemen I'll be back in a

few minutes however you will not be

alone and black widow spiders kill

quickly

I could get that knife out of my best

friend

[Music]

there's a splash come on let's get going

foreign

rocks that's where the Army is waiting

to take over the Convoy you won't have

much time to get your stolen gold

undercover plenty of time plenty you see

they'll get their goal right on schedule

but it'll be our boxes not theirs

they won't even suspect it till they

break the seals at Denver two weeks from

now looks like you're gonna figure it

but how are you gonna make the switch

amuse yourselves while you can trying to

guess

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

you're not coming back I've been

planning this for years there are others

in this besides me you know we'll pick

our chances against yours get those guns

away

foreign

[Applause]

conveying the gold was nearing the

misleading marker

there's a sign we're only a quarter of a

mile from technical rocks I was over the

tour about a year ago lieutenant and I

swear that rock is still two miles ahead

I'm sure the natives know the roads

better than you do Sergeant well that's

what I say about a rock you see one you

see them all me give me the plane

this hasn't been so bad we're still

ahead of schedule half hours

[Music]

I want to give up when I was beginning

to enjoy it too

the escort had heard the shooting in a

double back

disarm them

you're my prisoners you mean your

respiration

what's the meaning of this oh it's a

long story Lieutenant we better talk it

over on the way down to Pinnacle rocks

with a real gold have your men switch

the boxes in these two wagons real gold

switch boxes I demand an explanation and

a good one at once if you put that gun

away and listen to reason I'll explain

well

let's have it

and when I had finished my story The

escort Commander understood the whole

thing

thanks for everything Mister my name is

Cassidy I don't know what to say I am

you don't need to say anything you go

along with the lieutenant and I'm sure

things won't be half as bad as you

imagine your attempt to stop that wagon

with a real gold order will help

vindicate you well goodbye goodbye

goodbye sir goodbye my regards to your

father
