[The Substitute Princess's Love]

[Episode 12]

He and I are husband and wife,

and we should trust each other.

Besides, it was just a misunderstanding.

I've explained it clearly.

But with your personality,

if you stay in Prince Jin's Mansion,

can you bear all kinds of rules and will you be happy?

I'll say the same thing.

If you're willing to trust me,

I'll take you away now.

You can go on trips to see the beauty of nature and enjoy yourself from now on.

Zhou Yu, thank you.

I long for such a life indeed.

But compared with this,

I'd rather stay with him.

Sometimes, freedom is big.

It might be so big that it extends to the end of the world.

Sometimes, it's very small.

Every inch by his side embodies freedom.

If you stay in that kind of big house surrounded by high walls,

though you feel good now,

how do you know what will happen in the future?

How do you know he won't take a concubine?

In the future, there might be many women who will compete with you for a man.

Are you also willing to accept that?

He won't.

How do you know?

I just know.

You know me the best, honey.

Your Highness.

Zhou Yu.

Thank you for saving her.

If you want a reward, I will give it to you.

But you don't have to

bother with my family affairs.

I don't want your stupid reward.

Since you're here,

I'll tell you this, too.

I respect Ke's choice.

But if you let her down,

I'll definitely come back and take her away.

Your Highness.

Why are you here?

I'm waiting for you here.

You know that I'm in Mount Ting?

Come with me.

[Aboveboard and Straightforward] [Daxiong Hall]

[The Memorial Tablet of Ms. Tu from Jinzhou, Set up by Her Foster Daughter Shen Keyi]

Your nanny brought you up.

You owe a favor to her as she raised you.

Although

I've never met her,

I know you love each other deeply,

so I set up a memorial tablet for her,

and asked a priest to conduct a ritual so that she could rest in peace.

Your Highness, thank you

for taking my matters to heart.

Silly girl.

Why are you crying?

We should see your nanny off with smiles.

[The Memorial Tablet of Ms. Tu from Jinzhou, Set up by Her Foster Daughter Shen Keyi]

Nanny.

I'm here to take you home.

Although it's hard to let her pay the price with her life,

I've still vented the anger for you.

I've finally found the man

whom I can live with all my life.

If you were still alive,

and we could live together,

how happy we would feel.

But I have no chance to fulfill my filial duties to you anymore.

May you rest in peace

and never experience

the sufferings of the mortal world again.

I was used to seeing life and death on the battlefields,

and I never believed in Buddha.

But now,

I really hope that all the gods

can bless this little girl by my side

so that she can be safe and happy, and everything can go smoothly all her life.

Buddy, look at these fish. I've just caught them.

They're very fresh.

Okay. No problem.

Please wait a moment.

I'll go get the money for you at once.

Dong.

Move them inside.

Wait a moment.

What's wrong with you?

I have a stomachache.

Maybe I ate something improper.

What's wrong with her?

My wife has a stomachache.

Can you let her use your toilet?

Just go.

The toilet is over there.

Don't go anywhere else.

Thank you.

I didn't expect that

Prince Jin’s Mansion, which was usually heavily guarded,

would relax their vigilance so much.

In order to find that girl from the Shen Family,

Wen Ye even took all his trusted soldiers away with him.

How foolish.

Not really.

It's human nature that

a man is willing to do everything for the one he loves at all costs.

Besides,

If he had not left,

we wouldn't have had the chance to look for that defense map.

We failed to kill him last time.

This time,

I won't fail again.

One day,

I will kill Wen Ye.

You said the same last time.

Alright. Time is running out.

Let's split up to look for the map.

[Sakyamuni Pagoda] [Aboveboard and Straightforward] [Daxiong Hall]

Your Highness.

Where do you think people will go after they die?

I saw life and death on the battlefields.

I also don't know where people will go after they die.

But I know that

life is short,

so as the living people, we should

work harder to finish the things we should do,

and cherish the people around us more.

I'll also cherish the people around me more,

and will try harder to live my life,

with my nanny's expectations for life.

Your nanny will feel relieved.

Because you always have a reason

to make life happy.

Wen Ye and Shen Keyi

love each other and live a peaceful life forever.

Hang it up.

Okay.

♫There's a breeze near the arch bridge♫

♫A few people pass by♫

Your Highness, hang it higher.

♫The painter used the painting brush to draw a portrait at once♫

Higher.

♫Who's the young lady trying make-up before a bronze mirror?♫

♫The scene inspires a young master to write an article♫

♫The oars on the boat go up and down gently♫

♫And stir up the waves♫

[Wen Ye and Shen Keyi love each other and live a peaceful life forever]

♫I sigh when I see a petal and its shadow on the river because they look like a couple♫

♫Ancient walls of bricks are shone by the setting sun♫

It's finally hung on the tree.

Why does it have to be so high?

♫Carved windows in red paint are lit by the moon♫

You don't understand this, right?

♫I drink Peach Blossom Wine♫

Gods all live in the sky.

♫And drink it with you in the spring breeze♫

He must see the wishes on the top first.

In this way, our wish will be handled first.

♫On Willow Street, Peach Blossom Wine is brewing, brewing♫

You're so smart.

♫I make a jar of it whose fragrance drifts for ten miles and which I'll preserve for half of my life♫

Your Highness.

♫Raise the paper fan and sing♫

♫Sing to pray our lives are long and safe♫

♫With the bright Moonlight Shining and climbing up the fence♫

♫My longing is still hot and far from over♫

♫The bead curtains are swinging, shaking off the old times♫

[Chaoqian Hall]

His Highness looks as if he had just woken up.

Heroes are always attached to beauties indeed.

Princess Jin is indeed extraordinary.

Yes.

Greetings, Your Majesty.

Get up, Prince Jin.

Thank you, Your Majesty.

Prince Jin.

Last time, you reported that

you wanted to build a military base camp in Quezhou.

How's everything going with your preparation?

Your Majesty.

There was a fortress in Quezhou,

and the building inside there is complete.

After we renovate it, it can be used as a military fort

and a warehouse.

After the renovation is finished,

I'll go to Quezhou personally

to check the construction work.

Okay.

Come on. Move this inside.

[Prince Jin's Mansion]

Okay.

Be careful.

Your Highness.

Come and see which pot of flowers looks better.

Slowly.

Slowly.

This one.

I think this is good.

The flowers inside the pot are quite exquisite, too.

Lady Yunying loves butterfly orchids the most.

There are so many flowers in this cart.

If a pot of them is missing, Her Highness won't discover it, right?

It looks nice.

Is this a bit short?

A little. Besides, there is one bud on each side.

Then let's choose this one.

Take this inside.

They're so beautiful.

Have you seen that pot of butterfly orchids

which I bought with a lot of money?

Was it here just now?

Yes.

Why can't I see it?

Have you seen the butterfly orchids?

No, I haven't.

There is thief in the mansion?

He's just too unscrupulous in broad daylight.

Madam.

Guard Wan.

This is...

♫My missing of you is like a gust of wind♫

When I first met you,

you were watering butterfly orchids.

Thinking of the past,

I guess you like butterfly orchids.

♫Your attitudes towards me are always changing, and I'm deeply influenced by the memories♫

So I brought them for you.

♫I've seen many people coming and going♫

♫There's an ocean in their eyes♫

♫I thought I could see through it, but I couldn't help thinking about you♫

Sister.

♫Lend me the stars so that they can be my companions♫

♫While I'm going through the long night♫

♫Lend me a lamp♫

Did you only bring a pot of

butterfly orchids with you when you came back from the marquis' mansion?

♫So that my lonely heart can feel warm again♫

Those are all worldly possessions.

Only these flowers have bloomed just in time.

♫Lend me some ink♫

I felt it would be a pity if they were kept in the marquis' mansion,

so I brought them back.

♫So that I can draw a portrait for you♫

Before you saw these flowers,

♫I've been missing you♫

these flowers and my heart only existed in an ordinary way.

♫There's so much to say♫

When you came to see these flowers,

these flowers and my heart

♫I'll ask♫

became bright at once.

♫The moon to answer your questions for me♫

These flowers have become bright

because of the sunshine, raindrops

and breeze in this world,

not because of me.

Here you are.

[Danfeng Gate]

Your Highness.

What's the rush?

I need to go back to see my wife at once after the court's meeting.

Isn't it right?

[Prince Jin's Mansion]

Let's practice the Eight Brocade Moves together today.

Lift your hands up above your head and bend your knees.

Next move.

Stretch your hands and do the posture of shooting an arrow at a vulture.

Keep this posture.

Uncle Fu.

Raise this hand.

Tao, your posture is good.

It should be lower.

Stand steadily.

Stand steadily.

Your Highness!

Your Highness!

Come here.

Come on.

Practice the Eight Brocade Moves with us.

It can build up your body and cure all diseases.

Build up my body?

Do you think I need it?

Then you should practice it with us.

Me?

I... I...

Your Highness, I like that move of yours the most.

Tiptoeing like this.

Okay. Come on.

Let's do it together.

Tiptoe seven times and all diseases can be cured.

You have to tiptoe with a smile. Right. A big smile.

Your butt isn't twisting in the right way. Look at me.

Do you understand?

Your Highness!

Your Highness, come here at once.

Your Highness.

All the people of our mansion

have joined my team of Eight Brocade Moves.

If you still refuse to join us,

I'll let Guard Wan be the image representative of our team.

What?

Are you afraid that you can't learn it, so you don't dare to join us?

There's nothing I don't dare to do.

Then just do it at once.

Come on.

Stand here.

Do it with me.

Shake your head and butt to remove the inner heat.

Your Highness.

Twist your butt.

Hurry up!

Your Highness!

What are you doing?

It's broad daylight and everyone is watching us.

What are you doing?

-His Highness is punishing her on the spot. -Put me down!

What?

Are you scared now?

No, I'm not scared.

Of course not.

Okay.

Let's start.

What should we start to do?

The Eight Brocade Moves.

You have to respect me in front of the servants.

From now on, teach me the Eight Brocade Moves in the room.

You carried me back to your room

just to learn the Eight Brocade Moves?

What else could be the reason?

I thought...

The Book of All Tactics to Control Your Husband.

Give it to me. Just give it to me.

Actually, if you want to control your husband,

[Young and beautiful]

why don't you

come to ask me directly?

[Jiaxi Palace]

Your Grace.

It was all my elder sister's fault for not taking good care of Princess Jin,

which resulted in her abduction by that bad guy.

Fortunately, God blessed her.

Princess Jin came back safely.

Otherwise, I wouldn't know how to

explain it to you and Prince Jin.

Why didn't I hear any news

about the abduction?

Maybe because His Highness loved Her Highness so much that

His Highness didn't make a big deal out of it.

After all, Her Highness

stayed with the bandits outside for several days.

I wonder if she's still a pure woman.

Speaking of which, His Highness is really a good man

who is loyal to his wife and loves his wife so much.

I heard that His Highness not only ignored all his wife's past mistakes,

but also loved her even more.

[Prince Jin's Mansion]

Your Highness.

This is my first time entering the palace to see the Empress Dowager.

What color dress should I wear

so as to make her like me?

The Empress Dowager

doesn't quite care what other people wear.

Then what does she like to eat?

How about I make some snacks to show my respect?

I don't know the rules in the palace.

What if something goes wrong?

Silly girl.

You don't need to butter others up.

When you're by my side, just be yourself.

Your Highness.

How is the family feast in the palace usually arranged?

Does everyone also eat together

on the same table?

Can we get full?

Or do we need to put down the chopsticks after having a few bites?

You don't need to be overcautious.

It's just like how you eat in the mansion.

You can eat whatever you want.

Okay.

You're by my side anyway,

so I won't be nervous.

Your Highness.

Who is it?

Your Highness.

Her Grace said that she wanted to discuss something important with you,

so you should attend the banquet alone.

Princess Jin, please go back.

What's going on? Why did Her Grace suddenly...

Your Highness.

It's all right.

I don't know the rules anyway,

and I feel very worried.

Now this is good, as I can go home for dinner.

But this is our first time...

Your Highness, it's really okay.

I'll wait for you at home. Just go at once.

Okay.

Go ask someone

to clean the yard.

Hurry up.

Your Highness.

Didn't you go to the palace to attend the banquet with His Highness?

How come

you're back alone?

The Empress Dowager didn't want to see me,

so she asked me to come back halfway.

It seems that she doesn't like me.

It's okay, Your Highness.

Don't care about it too much.

You usually stay in Prince's Mansion,

while Her Grace

lives in the imperial palace.

You might not see each other even once in a month.

But she's Prince Jin's mother.

I'm supposed to call her mother, too.

I just want my mother to like me.

Your Highness.

In fact, in the palace,

there's only the Empress Dowager and the Emperor. There are no mothers or brothers.

Then does His Highness have any relatives?

The imperial family is different from ordinary people.

His Highness has been

living like this since childhood.

His Highness is such a poor guy.

However,

His Highness still has you.

You're His Highness's family.

You've been guarding His Highness all these years.

Although the imperial palace is not His Highness's home,

[Auspiciousness and Good Luck Are Gathered Here]

this place is his home.

Our home will get better and better.

Am I right, Uncle Fu?

Yes.

I'll

protect this mansion,

His Highness

and Your Highness well.

[Auspiciousness and Good Luck Are Gathered Here]

Ye, why aren't you eating more food?

Do you not like the food?

Eat more.

Okay.

By the way,

I heard that

the jade pendant which the late emperor had given to you was broken.

I didn't keep it properly,

and I've wasted my father's kindness.

The late emperor

wanted to make sure that you would be safe all your life.

In the future, I don't know how many

open criticisms or secret plots there will be in the palace to go against you.

Mother, don't worry.

I've done nothing wrong.

That's good.

Recently,

I've heard the rumor that

you and your wife are deeply in love.

I'm curious then.

What is so special about Miss Shen,

which made you fall in love with her?

Why do you think that's merely a rumor?

So you mean

it's true?

Thank you for caring about my life.

Mother.

I'm full.

I'll take my leave.

Your Highness.

These are the crabs from Mingyue Lake in Jiangnan regions, which are given to His Majesty as tributes?

Yes, Your Highness.

These are the fresh crabs from Mingyue Lake

in Jiangnan regions, which are delivered here at top speed.

Though there is only a small number of them, they are very delicious.

Each of them is good.

Your Highness,

these crabs are for His Majesty's dinner.

Besides, there are only a few crabs.

If His Majesty asks about them...

Just tell His Majesty I took them.

Your Highness.

Sister!

Your Highness.

Sister.

I need your help.

These crabs were intercepted by me when I came across an envoy on the palace road.

I've never seen you

make a big fuss for crabs.

Sister, don't make fun of me.

I just want my wife to taste them.

But she has never eaten crabs.

If I put them in front of her after they are steamed,

I'm afraid she won't know how to eat them.

Instead, she might feel embarrassed.

So,

I'd like to ask you

to make them into Stuffed Orange with Crab Meat.

My wife likes sweet food.

I'm sure she'll like it.

Okay.

Here you are.

Since my brother wants to please his wife,

as your sister,

I'll surely do my best to make this dish.

[Xingyue Pavilion]

Your Highness.

Why are you back so early?

I prepared it for you. Open it to take a look.

What is this?

These are the crabs from Mingyue Lake in Jiangnan regions.

When I left the palace, I met an envoy who was offering crabs as tributes,

so I asked him for a few crabs, and made them into Stuffed Orange with Crab Meat.

Stuffed Orange with Crab Meat?

The precious crabs and this ordinary orange

can be made into such a special snack?

Yes.

Crabs taste better when they are cooked with oranges.

Though oranges are ordinary,

they can remove the coldness of crabs

and protect the stomach.

Although crabs are rare and precious,

when they are combined with an orange,

and made into Stuffed Orange with Crab Meat,

their freshness will be greatly improved.

Look.

Though the orange and the crab meat look different,

they can actually complement each other.

When they are together,

both of them can be in the best state.

It turns out that

oranges can also become precious

and be liked by many people.

Yes.

In my eyes,

oranges have always been the best.

Just eat it.

It'll get cold if you don't eat it now.

♫You come from the mortal world♫

♫And laugh at me for not knowing about that world♫

It's delicious.

♫You waved your hand with flowers♫

♫I see through the crowd♫

♫If I can just follow my heart♫

♫And let everything happen naturally♫

♫Only a few years to spend with you♫

♫Are far from enough♫

♫I got an unexpected period of time♫

♫It was worth it to wander in loneliness in the past on a horseback♫

♫If it's a beautiful dream, what's wrong with going separate ways to our ends?♫

♫Love is a reward, and I'm willing to wander if it lasts long♫

♫Because the flowers once bloomed, I won't forget them after seeing them♫

♫Do you know this glance♫

♫Is the gaze that has made us stay so far away from each other?♫

[Xingyue Pavilion]
