[The Substitute Princess's Love]

[Episode 9]

Get out of my way!

Drop your weapons.

His Highness is taking over this place.

Your Highness,

according to investigation,

there were suspicious people in this yard.

The people here just left.

About 6 to 7 people.

Didn't Her Highness buy this?

She did come here.

I asked the soldiers in the military camp.

Even a fly can't get out

these days,

not to mention 6 to 7 people.

Block the mountain roads.

Block the mountain roads?

Sir,

we need a lot of people to do that.

Mobilize the Tiger Army.

Mobilize the army?

Sir,

this place is very close to the capital.

If you mobilize the army,

what if someone takes advantage of that?

Well...

I'm already very close to her.

Even if there is only a ray of hope,

I must find her.

[Ye]

With this,

Prince Jin will no longer be a hard nut to crack.

And His Excellency can be further promoted

and be invincible in the imperial court.

Madam,

Prince Jin personally sent troops

to look for her in Qiyu Village.

He sent troops?

Such a big move.

Is he crazy?

According to Commander Zhang,

since the beginning,

Shen Keyi has been protected by a powerful man.

Then Prince Jin went to Qiyu Village himself.

It seems that he got some news.

If Wen Ye finds her,

he will know we lied, right?

No.

Go find Commander Zhang now.

Tell him

no matter what it takes,

he has to kill Shen Keyi before Wen Ye finds her

and frame those bandits.

Otherwise,

if they know about this,

it will end badly for all of us.

Yes, Madam.

You're awake.

Have some water.

You are my hostage.

But I've been poisoned.

I'm a dying person.

You can't use me to get the ransom.

Silly girl.

If you hadn't

baked sweet potatoes,

I would still be hungry now.

I'm indebted to you.

I won't leave you alone.

Besides,

I have a connection with your nanny.

For her sake,

I should take good care of you.

I didn't expect that when I'm in a tight corner,

the person I count on the most

wants to kill me,

but a stranger who just met me a few times

has been of great help.

Oh right.

Eat something.

I picked this from the cliff.

Although I've never seen this kind of fruit before,

it tastes

sweet.

It can make you full.

Hang in there.

After I take you to my fortress,

my father knows medical skills,

and he can cure you.

Is it sweet?

I used to love sweet food.

Now I know

sweetness

is felt not through the tongue,

but the heart.

The rashes on her body are gone.

And her fever is gone too.

I think she's recovered.

Ke.

How are you feeling?

This is my father.

These are the people in our fortress.

Are we in the fortress now?

No.

We're still in Qiyu Village.

You are so weak.

How can I let you move?

Then why are they...

My son is a troublemaker.

I planned to come here to collect his body.

I didn't expect that he's still alive.

Father,

can you say something good about me?

Look at you.

I...

Ke,

don't be afraid.

These people

won't hurt you.

Then...

why have I recovered?

Do you see this?

This is called the Earth Spiritual Fruit.

The leaves are bitter, but the fruits are sweet.

Some leaves fell into the river

and blended into the underground water.

It was not poisonous at first.

But I don't know

who put sleeping drugs in the well.

When blended with the leaves,

it's highly toxic.

Luckily, the fruits can eliminate the poison.

You accidentally took the antidote

to save your life.

Father.

Well...

Let's go back to the fortress now.

The soldiers have blocked the roads.

I think it's more difficult for us to leave.

That's right.

Let's go.

If some villagers who don't know this

drink the poisonous well water,

then...

They have the imperial court.

Their doctors are much more capable than me.

We are bandits.

We don't dare to face the soldiers.

That's right, Ke.

The soldiers have blocked the roads to arrest you.

You can't walk right to them.

If you're really worried,

I'll go back on behalf of you.

Mind your own business.

Do you know whose soldiers came this time?

Prince Jin's Tiger Army.

It's easy to kill 10 of you.

Well...

Did he come in person?

Yes.

He even sent a lot of soldiers.

Considering such a big move,

who dares to mess with him?

He's coming for me.

I can't get you implicated.

I'm going to go back to Qiyu Village

and apologize to him.

And I can tell the villagers about the cure.

Ke,

wait for me.

I'll go with you.

I said I will protect you.

I don't care if he's a prince.

He shouldn't bully a weak girl.

Let's go.

Let's go.

Look at him chasing a woman.

Fool.

Master,

what should we do?

What should we do?

Collect his body, of course.

Let's go.

Commander Zhang,

His Highness has been lured to the bottom of the cliff.

But we may not be able to stall him for too long.

Do it now.

Ke, don't be afraid.

Sir, please.

Every debt has its debtor.

They caused trouble. Don't attack us.

Old man,

stop talking nonsense at this critical moment.

Leave now. Do you want to get your father implicated?

Ke, let's go.

Arrest them!

Your Highness.

They told me

they found the princess's shoe here.

The sole is too clean.

It rained heavily these days.

There is mud everywhere around the cliff.

If the princess fell from here,

the sole should have been covered with mud.

Something is wrong.

Someone is deliberately

leading us to a wrong direction.

Come on!

You can't escape anymore.

You guilty substitute.

You're a scourge wherever you go.

You've gotten His Highness implicated.

Before you die,

do you still want to get another person implicated?

Don't listen to him.

You're not a scourge.

You bastards!

Let me

play with you.

Zhou Yu.

Your...

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

Ke.

Your Highness,

I'm a concubine's daughter,

not a noble lady.

It was

all my fault.

It has nothing to do with them.

Please let them go.

Whether it's the death penalty or not,

please punish me alone.

Stand up.

Shen Keyi.

In your heart,

do you think I'm just here to punish you?

Your Highness,

please let them go.

Is it true

about stealing the jade pendant?

Yes.

Do you have anything to explain?

No.

I'll take the responsibility.

Your Highness,

please let them go.

I will die

as you wish.

Ke!

What are you doing?

When did I say I want you to die?

Your Highness,

everything I said

and everything I did are not true.

I'm an evil person,

just like what you think.

I approached you

with a secret.

I wanted to hurt you.

It was all my fault.

It has nothing to do with them.

Leave.

♫I took off the winding light sent by the moon♫

♫I cut the hidden line at the center of the palm silently♫

♫Among the clouds and in the sky♫

♫My missing of you is hidden secretly♫

♫Only a light of our predestined love is left there, and it's flickering♫

Your Highness,

since we met,

♫I vaguely remember that in our previous life, we passed by each other♫

you've saved me so many times.

This time,

♫But it's a vow that we can't fulfill in this life♫

let me save you.

Nanny is gone.

♫We failed to meet again♫

No matter what,

♫This love has lasted for several times of reincarnation♫

I can't be the sword of Prime Minister Shen anymore.

♫The mystery of love can't be solved, but I'm still indulged in it♫

♫Who is destined to♫

♫Lose his chance and face the chaotic situation?♫

I will always remember

♫The memories of happiness and sorrow♫

your protection for me

♫Are engraved in my heart, and have become my nightmares♫

and your kindness to me.

I will remember every bit of them.

♫Who stood opposite the destiny♫

♫And took one more look at the old smiling face?♫

Your Highness,

I'm sorry.

♫I'm not able to escape from♫

I have to leave you.

♫The parting where prosperity has withered♫

Your Highness,

I heard

the men of Tianhe Fortress were just passing by.

They've always been well-behaved.

They are not like those who do bad things and commit crimes.

But I wonder why Commander Zhang

wouldn't let them go.

This matter

is not as simple as he said.

Prime Minister Shen sent the soldiers from the military camp.

Shen Keyi was trapped here.

It was Madam Shen's trick.

I don't believe these two things are not related at all.

Commander Zhang

should be investigated carefully.

Yes.

By the way, Your Highness,

I also found out

the villagers here

were poisoned

because they drank the water in the well.

And the antidote

is the Earth Spiritual Fruit growing on the edge of the cliff.

Her Highness will go pick the fruits tomorrow

to cure the villagers.

Why don't we go help her?

So you can take the chance

to talk to Her Highness.

It concerns people's livelihood.

Of course we should send someone.

What do you mean by taking the chance to talk to her?

Do you think I would do such a thing?

I shouldn't have said that.

Thank you, Guard Wan.

Madam,

you've been kneeling for two days without eating or drinking.

Your body won't be able to take it if you keep doing this.

I can't help with anything outside.

I can only pray for His Highness and Her Highness

to come back safely.

Please forgive me.

Guard Wan.

What are you doing, Guard Wan?

Guard Wan.

Put me down!

Guard Wan!

Guard Wan, put me down.

Please punish me, Madam.

Guard Wan,

you may leave.

I...

I'll keep watch at the door.

The wind is strong tonight.

But don't be afraid.

Guard Wan,

actually, what I fear the most

is that I will see my loved ones dead again.

My brother and the princess

are among my only kinsfolk.

If possible,

I'm willing to exchange my life

for their safety.

Your life

is also precious.

Be careful.

Hold it.

Pull me up.

Father.

Are they together?

Why are they dressed differently?

In my life,

I've never seen bandits and soldiers

get along with each other.

How interesting.

Thank you.

Let me do it. You go have some water.

Don't move.

You can't go.

Why?

Your Highness, you're so nosy.

Give it back to me.

Wait here.

Consider them picked by you.

It's too dangerous for you to go down alone.

I will take care of myself.

I haven't punished you yet.

You have to be safe.

Your Highness,

how will you punish me?

I will think about it.

Then can you let me go now?

Your Highness,

go get a doctor now

to bandage your wound.

You did this.

You should bandage my wound.

When I was picking the fruits,

I tore the wound.

Does it hurt?

Yes.

I'm clumsy.

You should find someone else.

It doesn't hurt anymore.

Keep bandaging it.

My sister knows you're safe.

So she asked someone to deliver some desserts to you

from the mansion.

They should be your favorites.

Thank Sister Yunying for me.

But I don't like these anymore.

Don't you always like desserts?

I used to like them,

but I don't like them now.

Your Highness,

it's done.

I'm leaving.

We must have carried more than them.

We've been living in the mountains.

Climbing a cliff is easy.

We've gone through fire and water with His Highness.

We've been through all kinds of terrains.

This cliff

is like the flat ground to us.

Stop bragging.

You're bragging.

-Young Master. -You're bragging.

It seems the number of their baskets

is as many as ours.

We have another basket.

We won.

You're shameless.

She's the princess.

This basket belongs to us.

Your Highness.

Ke,

you must be on our side,

right?

Your Highness.

Childish.

Why don't you distribute the fruits to the villagers after picking them?

Did you hear that? Her Highness said you are childish.

Here.

Thank you.

Here.

Thank you.

Wen Ye

didn't give me a hard time.

I don't know how he will punish me.

If he dares to hurt you,

I'll put up a desperate fight with him.

I don't want you to risk your life.

You'll become a hero someday.

Me?

A hero?

I will only protect you.

Thank you.

Sir,

should we get rid of him?

I don't care

a man like him, right?

What are you doing here?

I'm here to distribute the fruits to the villagers.

Your Highness,

don't bother.

Everyone is busy.

I should help.

You have so many men.

Why are you here?

Then thank you.

Ke.

Thank you.

Interesting.

You're the ones who bullied a weak woman.

You're also the ones who are pretending to serve the people.

What?

Is the stage in the capital not big enough,

so you came here to act?

A villain thinks he's a good man

just because he did something good.

Being an extreme villain

is better than

being a hypocrite like you.

Ke has seen your true colors.

She won't trust you anymore.

Stay away from her.

I like her.
