(Busby) 'And so we archeologists are now beginning to understand'
'Norway's ancient Viking culture.'
(female #1) Thank you, Professor Busby for taking time
from your work to talk to us.
My pleasure, are there any questions?
Professor Busby, is it true that these ruins are haunted
by a real live Viking?
[indistinct chattering]
[chuckling] I assure you all, there's no such thing.
And now, I must get back to my research.
Okay, group, if you'll follow me
I'd like to direct your attention to..
[grunting]
[all screaming]
(female #1) 'Back to the bus.'
[grunting]
(Daphne) We should be at the Viking ruins any minute, guys.
Like, why are we making such a fuzz about archeology anyway?
Isn't that just digging up old bones? Ha ha ha.
But digging up old bones is what Uncle Scooby likes best.
Yeah, bones.
'Oh, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy.'
I love 'em. He he he.
Professor Busby didn't just dig up old bones.
He was studying the ancient Vikings
when he suddenly vanished.
And some say he was kidnapped by a viscous modern day Viking.
Viking? Yikes!
[whimpering]
Like, I'm with you, Scoob. When do we leave?
(Scrappy) 'But we just got here.'
(Daphne) 'And there's the professors lab now.'
Like, looks spooky.
Maybe we should wait in the van, eh, Scoob?
Yeah, good idea.
thud
He he he.
There might be a clue in here that'll tell us
what happened to the professor.
'Let's split up and find it.'
[chuckling] Like I wonder who his interior decorator is.
[grunting]
(both) Yikes!
Hey, careful, you guys.
Isn't this stuff, neat? Where'd everybody go?
Uh, uh, we're just checking up here for Vikings.
- All clear, right, Scoob? - Oh, yeah, right, all clear.
He he he.
We're getting nowhere.
Let's ask in town. Maybe someone there knows about the professor.
Hey...what are you kids doing here?
I was about to ask you the same question.
Me, uh, why, I'm, uh, I'm the lab assistant here.
Now, what about you?
We were just looking for Professor Busby.
Well, you're trespassing on private property.
Look somewhere else.
Good idea. Hawa-Hawaii!
Yeah let's go.
Yeah, sure, we're leaving anyway.
(Daphne) 'Well, guys, we searched everywhere'
but no Professor Busby.
Then why didn't we go hunt down
that real life Viking you talked about?
That's just a crazy rumor, Scrappy.
There haven't been any real Vikings for centuries.
[grunting]
thud
[grunting]
- Then, like, who's he? - A Viking.
Zoinks!
Olaf want food! Want food!
splash
slurp slurp slurp
This is not good food.
[grunting]
- Like, look out, Scoob. - Oh, no.
thud
(Scooby) Uh, giddy up, horsie.
Like, forget it, Scoob. It's just a statue.
[grunting]
[neighing]
(both) Ye-eow!
Hey, he can't do that to my Uncle Scooby.
Scrappy, no!
Don't worry, Daphne. I'll splat this barbaric fool.
[grunting]
[grunting]
Of course, he-he, I might be wrong.
(Daphne) Hey, no put me down.
(Daphne and Scrappy) Help!
Daphne, look.
(Daphne) 'Really? Where did all those Vikings come from?'
(together) Hail, Olaf the Terrible.
Me got prisoners. Put in dungeon.
Hey, take your paws off me, you big goons, you.
thud
They took Daphne and Scrappy inside, Scoob.
We got to get in there.
We do?
- Scoob. - Okay.
[grunting]
- Two more prisoners. - Grab 'em.
Yikes!
(both) Whoa.
Like, quick, Scoob, start climbing.
I'm climbing, I'm climbing.
(both) After them.
[creaking]
[screaming]
[creaking]
- Yeow! - Yeow!
splash
He he he.
Hey, Scoob. I've got an idea.
Uh-oh!
gulp
Gee, Daphne, do you think those Viking guys
kidnapped Professor Busby too?
I don't know, Scrappy.
But we've to get out of here if we're ever gonna find out.
[door shutting]
It's that lab assistant.
You kids should have stayed away.
What have you done with Professor Busby?
Nothing, yet.
(Shaggy) Like, act casual, Scoob.
- And think Viking. - Yeah, Viking.
Uh, uh, me, Viking.
New recruits. Come. Must pass tug of war contest. Come.
Ha ha ha.
Like, that's okay, Olaf, I hate death. Really.
(male #1) 'Come.'
(Scooby) Uh-oh!
Now, I, I.. I...got it.
(Daphne) Good.
Come on, Scrappy. I wanna go talk to that lab assistant.
Hey, what's all this stuff?
Diesel Fuel, I don't understand.
Why would Vikings have diesel fuel?
Like, uh, ugh, what's this for?
For test. Tug of war.
You pull this end, they pull that end.
Like, gee, Olaf. Maybe some other time.
[screaming]
[grunting]
Gee, what's an office doing down here?
I don't know, Scrappy. It's weird.
'And what are Vikings doing with a map of the Atlantic ocean?'
thud
Somebody's coming.
(Daphne) 'It's Professor Busby.'
Uh, but, uh, but, who are you?
We're friends, professor. We've come to help you.
Oh, good, then let's find a way out of here
while we still can.
You can check down there for an exit.
I'll look this way.
(Daphne) 'Be careful professor.'
[grunting]
(male #2) 'We win, now.'
[screaming]
Sorry. He he he.
(Olaf) 'You fail test. We mad now.'
Run for it, Scoob.
Yeow!
[instrumental music]
Well, we found the exit but now we've lost Professor Busby.
[screaming]
thud
Uncle Scooby.
Shaggy, what are you doing here?
Scoob and I came to rescue you.
Well, thanks. I think.
Hey, look.
(Daphne) An underground waterway with a Viking boat.
'This river must lead to the ocean.'
Viking boat, wow.
[grunting]
Oh, no, we've got company.
Intruders! Grab them!
Grab them all!
(both) Yikes!
[grunting]
- Follow me. - 'Good idea, Uncle Scooby.'
Let's row out of here.
Stop them.
[grunting]
Oh, no, like, maybe this thing's still tied up.
I'll cast off the rope.
We catch now but good.
Ha ha ha.
Scrappy?
Scoob, what are you doing?
Rescuing Scrappy. I hope.
[whimpering]
- Huh? - Yeow!
Go, get him, Uncle Scooby.
Help!
thud
(Olaf) Oh, please, please let me down. I'm afraid of heights.
So am I. Yikes!
[whimpering]
Afraid, eh?
Well, let's lower Olaf down and see who he really is.
So, like, if he's coming down why are we going up?
(Scrappy) Oh, boy. We're on top of a submarine.
(Lab assistant) 'Not on top of it. This Viking boat is part of it.'
It's a disguise.
The lab assistant.
Then who's Olaf?
[Daphne gasps] 'It's Professor Busby.'
It is? Oh, yeah, it is.
But he's better known as Busby the pirate.
So with this disguised submarine
Busby and his pirate gang planned to plunder
the high seas like the ancient Vikings.
And this place was gonna be his hide out.
So, like, that's why he tried to scare everyone away.
'But, like, who are you?'
(Mules) 'I'm Mules Janson, with the navy department.'
'They sent me to recover the stolen submarine.'
And all this time I thought you were Olaf.
And we thought Professor Busby
was a real bone digging archeologist.
Ha ha ha.
Boy, were we wrong.
There probably isn't an old bone within miles of here.
Right, Scoob?
- 'Scoob.' - Wrong, Raggy!
He he he.
(Shaggy) 'A whale bone. Ha ha ha. Oh, no.'
slurp
Scooby-Dooby-Doo!
slurp
