was that this man was convicted
without evidence,

on nothing but words.

That's how the verdict came about,

striking down a man

who, I'm convinced, was innocent,

as were the makers of this film.

And we are not alone.

The justice minister at the time
must have felt troubled

when he ordered a new investigation
2 weeks later.

Judge Coty must have felt troubled

when, in 1957,

he commuted the death sentence
to a life sentence.

As did General de Gaulle,
who, in 1960,

released Gaston Dominici.

This man was tried
in these conditions.
