1875 Colonel R McKenzie had received

word that killer Pete lamond and his

murderous band had been cited in the

territory with a picked group of Raiders

McKenzie headed for the border and

Mexico where he was certain L man would

seek Sanctuary the trail crossed the Rio

Grand and led deep into the treacherous

Palos negr range with each mile covered

the danger of detection by Mexican

federales increased but the destruction

of Leeman was vital and it drove

McKenzie and the Raiders deep ever

deeper into alien country finally on

August 16th The Outlaw gang was cited

and the battle

but two horses killed Three Outlaws were

captured one of them the Indian chief

1873 the vast area of the Texas border

dependent for Law and Order on Colonel
