(Episode 62)

(Manager)

Dad.

Dad.

Dad...

Dad.

He died because of me.

I'm sorry, Dad.

I broke my dad's heart.

I considered someone like Se Ran a friend.

My gosh, Dad.

My poor Dad.

Dad.

Kang Se Ran.

It really was you.

You evil witch.

Kang Se Ran.

I'll never forgive you.

(Vice CEO Jung Da Jung)

(From Wang Ji Hoon)

Jung Da Jung.

You don't qualify to have this.

Is she asleep because it's late?

I wonder how Song Yi's doing.

If you and Da Jung are type B,

how could Song Yi be type AB?

Exactly. Something's not right.

I didn't do that great in school,

but I didn't sleep through Biology,

and I know you two can't have a type AB kid.

It's weird. The nurses can't have swapped the babies.

My gosh.

Do you think she might not be yours?

Who? Song Yi?

Mom, that's impossible.

Yes, it's impossible.

Da Jung didn't cheat on you.

That's right. She cared only for me.

Anyway, I'll go and check and see Song Yi too.

Okay.

The kid must miss her dad so much.

How poorly did Da Jung feed her...

that she'd have anemia?

Oh, the poor thing.

Mom, don't wait up for me. Go to bed.

Goodness.

Oh, dear.

Kang Se Ran, Baek Sang Chul.

Be prepared to pay the price.

I have crucial evidence...

to get the case reopened.

Song Yi. It's Dad.

Song Yi.

Song Yi, Dad's here.

Why are you here this late?

Is Song Yi asleep?

She loves strawberries.

Since when did you care about her?

What a joke.

I should say that.

What's this about Song Yi's blood type?

Did you have an affair and...

Shut your mouth.

What are you imagining?

Jung Da Jung. Can't I even ask?

How dare you ask that? What do you suspect?

Because you cheated on me,

do you think everyone does?

What got into you? Don't go too far just because we split up.

Right back at you!

Why did you do that to my dad?

What?

What...

What's that?

Why? Do you feel bad now that you saw it for yourself?

What human being could do that?

Think about how nice my dad was to you!

How could you cause him to die...

and walk around so shamelessly?

Da Jung.

Do you call yourself human?

How could you do that?

Hear me out.

It's a misunderstanding.

Where is that video from?

You couldn't be that crazy for love.

He was Song Yi's grandpa.

How could you leave him lying on the ground?

And how did you pretend you had nothing to do with it?

You're misunderstood.

I didn't do anything.

Da Jung. Calm down. Relax.

Brace yourselves.

I had my suspicions,

but I was going to let you off because you're Song Yi's dad.

- Da Jung. - But now that I saw that video,

I'll never forgive you.

You'll lose everything.

You'll rot in prison for murder and you'll never see Song Yi again.

Be prepared.

Da Jung, please. Let me explain.

I'm innocent. It was all Se Ran.

You know, you saw the video.

I just stood to one side then ran away.

Shut your mouth.

If you'd taken Dad to a hospital then,

he could've made it.

You just ran away and that makes you worse!

You're no longer Song Yi's dad.

Be prepared to pay.

Da Jung.

Forgive me this once.

Go. Get out of my house!

- Wait. - Leave!

The evil scum.

I'll never forgive them.

Why...

(Sang Chul)

(Sang Chul)

Se Ran, it's urgent. Pick up.

Da Jung knows.

What do you mean Da Jung knows?

What?

Is that true?

Song Yi. Mom will be back soon.

Even if you wake up, wait and don't cry.

I won't be long.

I love you, Song Yi.

Kang Se Ran, Baek Sang Chul. Just wait.

The truth will come out.

You murderers.

Where are you going this early?

I have a breakfast meeting with some entrepreneurs.

I don't have to go,

but Chairman Kang has been harassing me.

Don't you think he has another motive?

I know he does. His daughter's still in love with Yo Han.

She's still single and her dad...

must be so stressed out.

People like her are rare.

She has adored Yo Han since they were children.

You could say she's odd.

She's not like youngsters these days.

Don't you think she just wants what she never got to have?

You stayed up late last night.

Not enough sleep is bad for your immune system.

Come in and go to bed early tonight.

Are you worried about me, Noel?

You made me extra happy.

You talk like I never cared about my friend.

I always wish you the best of health and success.

Okay, great. Thank you.

See you later.

Is Noel still looking for her daughter?

It doesn't look like she'll give up easily.

Her daughter died years ago.

The truth would shatter her.

That's why I tried to stop her from looking.

She's just too stubborn.

That woman...

How strange.

Where did I see her before?

- Stop the car. - Yes, sir.

You made a full recovery?

Pardon?

You passed out on the road near Dream Milling.

You're the person who took me to the ER.

I'm grateful enough that you got me help,

but you even paid the bill.

Don't thank me.

Anyone would have taken you to a hospital if they'd found you.

I'd wondered who helped me out.

I'm glad I got to see you again.

You're thin enough that you wouldn't need to lose weight.

Why were you starved?

I wasn't trying to lose weight.

Oh, really?

I was out of line, then.

Your husband sounded so worried.

My husband?

Da Jung. How do you feel?

Mr. Manager.

He's not my husband.

What? He told me he was.

Did he?

I should pay you for the bill.

I don't have any cash.

What should I do?

No one carries cash around these days. It's fine.

Give me an account number or contact details.

I want to show my gratitude.

I said you don't have to.

Goodness.

Chairman, you got a call.

What a pity.

I was happy to see you again in Seoul.

Goodbye, then.

Hello, it's Wang Je Guk.

It's been a while. I'm on my way.

Chairman Wang Je Guk?

(Yo Han)

Wang Yo Han.

You need to go away for fraud.

What do you mean? I committed fraud?

It's a fraud to pretend to be my husband.

Who gave you permission to say we were married?

When did I...

Oh, then?

Did you meet the guy who took you to the hospital?

- Yes, just now. - Where?

Isn't it fascinating?

I met the person who found me passed out near my dad's old factory...

in the middle of Seoul, right outside a police station.

A police station? What were you doing there?

Oh, what's the time?

I have no time for this. Bye.

Why are you at the police...

What was that? She did all the talking and hung up?

How cruel.

Why is she at a police station?

Did she find more proof?

Stop.

Ms. Cheon.

No.

Get out of my way, lady.

What? "Lady?"

You have no manners now?

Don't you look down on me when you only just became Vice CEO.

Get out of my way.

I see why you're here.

You're here because Sang Chul called...

and you and Se Ran cooked up a plan.

Don't think of doing anything.

What are you on about?

I'm here because a sauna I often go to is nearby.

What plan are you talking about?

Then go on your way.

I'm avoiding alleys to stay on roads with traffic and surveillance cameras.

Don't dream of doing anything.

Also, pass Sang Chul and Se Ran a message.

They're both done for.

Wait.

What was all that about?

Explain so I can understand.

Get off me.

Oh, my gosh.

Oh, dear.

My poor sacrum.

I'm dying with pain over here.

Quit the show and get up.

Why? Are you afraid what your daughter did will come out?

Is that why you're stopping me?

My back hurts too.

Oh, dear.

I might never walk again.

What if I never walk again because my back's broken?

Oh, that witch injured me.

She ruined my back for good.

I'm sick of your show.

I won't fall for it.

Call an ambulance!

At least call me an ambulance, Da Jung.

Are you really that hurt?

Oh, dear...

I think something's broken.

It looks real serious.

It hurts so bad.

Take me to a hospital.

I can barely move.

Will you leave me out here to freeze?

Oh, Mother.

I might die out here.

My poor back.

I'll get you a taxi to take you to a hospital.

Okay.

Oh, dear.

Goodness.

Oh, gosh.

Kang Se Ran.

- That was easy. - Let's go.

(Emergency Medical Center)

Se Ran.

Where did she go early in the morning?

How odd.

Madam, I know I only just became Vice CEO,

but I'll take a sick day today.

I can't help it that she's ill.

I hope she's not seriously ill.

Mother, something urgent came up. Can you watch Song Yi for me?

What could crop up this early that she needs me to watch Song Yi?

Who?

Da Jung, of course.

What?

The memory card is the most crucial thing.

You haven't found it yet?

Do whatever it takes to find it when Da Jung wakes up.

It was all for nothing if we don't get that.

Choi Young Sik hasn't found it yet?

No.

Da Jung must've hidden it well.

He doesn't have it yet.

We did get together to plan this and we got this far,

but what happens now?

What will you do with Da Jung?

What else?

I need to stop her somehow so we have time to breathe.

What if we'd left her to go to the police?

I'd end up in prison.

We can't let that happen.

We're so close to becoming in-laws with the golden lifeline's family.

We can't ruin that now.

Right.

We had no other choice.

It was our only option.

Se Ran.

I think Da Jung went to the police.

What?

She texted my mom.

She said something urgent came up and asked her to babysit Song Yi.

What, then?

What will you do now?

That's...

What will you do now?

It's a matter of time before you're handcuffed.

I was too worried to sleep last night, but you look just fine.

My goodness. Will you get lost already?

How worried do you think Se Ran is...

that she came to see me to talk?

As if she's just fine.

Anyway,

I had nothing to do with it, so you're on your own.

Hey!

You cowardly fool.

You'll back out now?

And you say you'll marry Se Ran?

Do you even love her?

Get lost.

- Get out of here. - Mother, I...

You moron.

Well done, Mom.

I'll go to...

the nearby convenience store to make an alibi,

then go and see Da Jung.

I must get the evidence.

It's not here.

I turned her bag inside out.

I only found a handkerchief and something like a nail in plastic bags.

There's no video thing you're looking for.

Kang Se Ran! Don't you fear retribution?

You'll pay for what you did!

Shut your mouth before I plug it.

Scare her so she tells you where it is.

You think I didn't try?

I grilled and searched her as soon as she woke up and found nothing!

Come find it yourself if you want!

Darn it.

Song Yi.

My poor Dad.

What should I do?

What do I do, Dad?

The person is unable to answer the phone.

She won't pick up.

But then, it would be no fun if she picked up right away.

The phone is turned off. Please leave...

Why did she turn off her phone? Is she talking to the detective?

Even if she were, she wouldn't have to turn off her phone.

Yes, I'm almost there, so...

What?

Jung Da Jung.

The person walking up is Jung Da Jung.

You said you tied her up!

What?

Darn it.

He doesn't do anything right.

(Dead end)

What are you doing?

What do you think? I'm trying to catch her.

We'll lose her if we go the same way.

We don't know which way she went.

I'll go left. You go right.

What a nasty witch.

It hurts.

What did I do that I should be on the run?

You must get out alive.

It wouldn't be right to die here.

Pull yourself together. I'll get out of here somehow,

and prove what they did.

Jung Da Jung!

This is where you escaped to?

What? Will you jump?

Why should I? And do you a favor?

That means this place...

will be the grave for one of us.

Fine. Since it has come to this,

let's go all the way.

(The Third Marriage)

If you have a sliver of a conscience, pay for your crimes!

No!

Where's the memory card with the video?

Dream on!

Even if you steal the memory card, I made a backup you can never get to.

See how purgatory feels.

No.

- No! - Let go!

Get out of my life!
