Is that you, Yuan Xia?

Who are you?

Is your current time

12 o'clock on March 3rd, 2024?

There's something important I need to tell you.

You must remember it.

On December 31st, 2024,

you must not go to Lakeside Hotel to look for Wei Ziqi.

I know I must sound ridiculous,

but you have to believe me.

Or else your life will be in danger.

Like how I'm in danger right now?

You've got the wrong person to scam!

Stop calling me!

I don't even have money to save myself.

Hello?

Hello?

(How can I make Yuan Xia believe me?)

=Present, is Present=

=Episode 3= (Space-Time Rescue Trip)

Mr. Zhou.

Wei Ziqi seems to be driving around aimlessly.

It doesn't look like he's going to the hospital to see Yuan Xia.

Just keep your eye on him.

Okay.

I told you to watch Yuan Xia, didn't I?

How did she manage to leave the hospital?

I can't be staying in the hospital 24/7.

I have to get off work too.

Besides,

Yuan Xia asked to have some time alone.

I didn't know she wanted time alone in your house.

Yuan Xia is probably on her way back to the hospital.

She fell into the water just now.

Make her some ginger tea.

Just make sure you look after her well

before the board meeting.

No more mishaps.

Okay. What about you, then?

Yuan Xia suddenly turned up tonight.

Even if Lin Yu didn't think anything was amiss,

he surely would've noticed her.

I'm going to come clean with them.

Mr. Wei...

I followed you because I was worried.

You misunderstood.

Misunderstood?

Then according to you,

did I misunderstand what a loyal subordinate you are?

Lin Yu.

What's going on?

Lin Yu?

Mr. Zhou.

This is Ziqi.

Ziqi?

You went on a joy ride to bait me, huh?

I didn't think you'd be that interested

in me and Yuan Xia.

You fell for the bait too easily.

How boring.

Wei Ziqi.

Gloat all you want

while you still can.

After the board meeting,

how long do you think you can keep this up

without your father's will to protect you?

By the way,

there's something you might not know.

Your father's death

was not an accident at all.

So you were involved

with my father's death.

Want to know more?

I'll be waiting for you tomorrow at the Delin Club.

Chen Bo.

Yes.

Proceed as planned.

Tomorrow at the Delin Club,

make sure Wei Ziqi

signs the equity transfer agreement as told.

Got it.

(Fu Ming Hospital)

Thanks.

Hello, who is it?

Hello, Yuan Xia.

Are you in Fu Ming Hospital right now?

You again.

How did you know?

No need to panic.

I just want to tell you

that you're not actually sick.

Your real medical report is with Xing Nan.

How do you know these things?

There's something else I can tell you.

You can verify it and decide whether or not to believe me.

Tonight, the winning number for the Union Lotto is

01031821232605.

Did you get that?

It's getting more ridiculous.

I know I'm sick.

But my brain is working fine.

Yuan Xia, you have to believe me.

The winning number of tonight's Union Lotto is 01...

01031821232605. I remember.

Anything else?

Also, tonight at Delin...

What the heck?

Yuan Xia.

I've got your test results.

Everything looks good, except for the two wisdom teeth.

I'll make an appointment to get them extracted tomorrow.

Dr. Xing.

I'm a cancer patient.

Shouldn't you be focusing treatment

on the more serious cancer diagnosis?

Why extract my wisdom teeth?

Wisdom teeth

are extracted sooner or later.

Just do as I say and extract them tomorrow.

Why are you here?

What is actually wrong with me?

(Fu Ming Hospital Case Examination Report, Physical Examination Report)

Nothing is wrong.

Nothing?

Then which of these two reports

is real?

A certain doctor lost his principles,

breaking the Physicians Oath by fabricating false medical records.

Should I

report this matter to the authorities?

What was the report hotline?

123.

No, don't.

Yuan Xia, to be frank,

I can explain this whole thing.

Okay.

Then explain it to me.

Why did you lie to me with a fake report?

Yuan Xia.

I swear on my name,

I made you stay in the hospital

for your own sake.

Moreover,

it's not like you're totally healthy.

Look here.

You have lumbar muscle strain,

and your spinal curve is a little off.

And the wisdom teeth.

So you can extract them.

Get to the point.

Did Wei Ziqi make you do it?

Did he do this

to deliberately prank me, scare me?

Of course not.

With you, he is...

He is what?

(Wei: Watch Yuan Xia.)

(She must not leave the hospital tonight.)

He is a good boss.

I don't care if Wei Ziqi kept me in the hospital

as a prank or for my sake, it doesn't change the fact

that it's selfish behavior.

And I find it very disturbing.

You let him know that.

Right now,

I want to be discharged.

I'm sure you'll permit it, right, Dr. Xing?

(Wei, Yuan Xia found out about the fake report.)

(I did my best.)

(She has been discharged.)

(Okay, got it.)

(Welfare Lottery, Photocopy)

Madam Sun.

Are you making wontons?

Can I have a bowl?

Where were you the last few days?

Business trip again?

I set up a blind date for you the other day,

that Chen.

Why didn't you go? Wasn't interested?

No.

Something came up that night so I couldn't go.

I'd have to trouble you

to apologize to him on my behalf.

Don't worry about it.

I have a thick pile

of potential suitors.

I'll single out who's suitable for you.

I'm sure you'd be pleased.

Let me go prepare the wontons.

Okay.

Sit down and wait.

(Tonight, the winning number for Union Lotto is)

(01031821232605.)

(Did you get that?)

The lotto.

The lotto.

Madam Sun, I'll be right back.

I'll be back.

Boss, give me a lotto.

Follow me.

(Your assistant is quite a character.)

(The first thing she did was buying a lotto.)

(Continue following her. Make sure she's safe.)

Mr. Zhou went through so much trouble to get me here.

So where is he?

Mr. Zhou has an emergency.

So I'll be sitting in for him tonight.

He wanted me to tell you,

it's not important whether or not Mr. Wei Sr.'s death was an accident.

What matters is

if you don't sign,

you might be caught in an accident tonight.

I won't beat around the bush.

He'd like you to sign

this equity transfer agreement soonest possible.

(Equity Transfer Agreement)

And if I won't?

Mr. Wei.

At the end of the day, I watched you grow up.

It's my honest wish to see you flourish.

But if you remain ignorant,

then your hand

won't be able to touch any more women

or play any more games.

You're not kidding, huh?

Mr. Wei, have you made up your mind?

I won't sign it.

My brain must have short-circuited

to actually buy the lotto.

But what's done is done.

Who knows I might win a few bucks.

Let me see.

(Winning Numbers)

(Lancheng Welfare Lottery)

031821232605!

Jackpot!

Hang on.

How did he know the winning number?

Who is he?

(And the thing he said...)

(You're not actually sick.)

(Your real medical report is with Xing Nan.)

(Yuan Xia, you have to believe me.)

(Also, tonight at Delin...)

(Delin Club?)

(Why did he mention Delin Club?)

(What's happening here?)

(Wei Ziqi?)

What do we do now?

Oh, I have this.

Don't worry.

Chen Bo is a subordinate my dad had personally trained.

He learned that Zhou Wei was going to deal with me tonight,

so he came to check on me.

Mr. Wei.

Make sure you keep a close eye on Zhou Wei

until the board meeting tomorrow.

Rest assured.

Wei Ziqi, you twerp!

How dare you steal my bike to impress the lady?

Alright.

Just you wait.

Ni Ning, right?

Wei asked me to pick you up.

You don't remember me?

Last time at the hospital parking,

you took up my spot.

Wei Ziqi.

I've worked as your assistant for two years.

I thought I knew you well.

But I realized just tonight

that there were two sides to you.

Was I too dumb?

Or was it because of your incredible acting?

Yuan Xia.

I didn't intend to keep it from you.

You know how it is at the company.

My every move is being watched by Zhou Wei.

Before I officially acquire the equity,

I have no means to go face-to-face with him.

So every day, I had to play

the idiotic, rich playboy

to make him put his guard down.

But I didn't think

he'd drag you into the mix.

Zhou Wei?

Wait, let me think.

I remember you said the bottle of red wine was expensive

because it was the last bottle

from Chateau Cheval Blanc's 1953 limited production.

So this bottle is a fake...

(Since that night at the bar,)

(a series of mishaps and accidents)

(Brake failure) (have been happening around me.)

(I got into an accident when my car lost control.)

It wasn't because the car parts were worn out.

It was Zhou Wei's attempt to kill me.

Yes.

Because I found out about the bar's fake accounts.

He worried that I would find out

he was using such high-spending venues

to transfer company funds.

I had thought

he wanted to get rid of you because of me.

So you deliberately fired me

to cut any ties with me.

And you kept me in the hospital with a fake report

to prevent Zhou Wei from harming me.

Yuan Xia, about that,

I apologize.

I'm sorry.

Not so fast.

What's the matter?

Sit.

I get it.

You don't want the innocent to be implicated.

You don't want to endanger me.

But that doesn't mean

you should risk your own life.

The car accident.

A driver's instinctive reaction

should be to turn the steering wheel and avoid the oncoming danger.

But you did the opposite

and hit the barrier directly.

That doesn't make sense.

Why do you think

I did that, then?

You were trying to protect someone you cared about.

It's just like the palace feud dramas.

You're using me to confuse Zhou Wei,

a shield for Xixi.

No, that's not it.

You got it wrong.

There's nothing between Xixi and I.

We're innocent.

We were just role-playing.

Don't get the wrong idea.

Oh? It doesn't matter.

It doesn't...

It doesn't matter?

Yeah.

What I'm more curious about is

that you knew Zhou Wei was out to get you.

So why did you still show up tonight?

You were putting yourself in danger.

If I didn't meet him as agreed,

Zhou Wei would surely have done something.

And very likely,

people who are important to me might be harmed.

I didn't want to take that risk.

I never knew

Dr. Xing was that important to you.

Not Xing Nan.

Yuan Xia.

I did all this because of you.

I like you.

Do you have time tonight?

Let's eat together.

your thoughts on the company.
