when he found his wash plant

Like, the season is going good,
and hopefully that'll continue.

Parker schnabel
is racing to mine out

his 115-acre claim

and then we'll just get
set up in death valley.

slucifer and big red

are sluicing at a combined
500 yards an hour,

but there's a problem
on the horizon.

We've got a big issue with where
we're going to be in the future.

Like, we're running out of
ground, and that's a problem.

keeping ground ahead of us,

and I hate to say this,
but we we're even looking at

what options
we've got back with tony.

beyond the last cut

is a 70-acre claim adjacent

to the indian river

I really hate to be
at that point

where we're looking
at coming back

and paying more royalties
to tony,

but it would be a lot worse
to not be mining.

I've just asked my friend liam
who owns a drill to come up,

and he's going to test
this ground for us.

Here is the drill.

have brought in the tsi 150c,
the next-generation sonic drill.

it's expensive, you know?

Like, almost $20,000 a day
for this thing,

but it's well worth it.

It's sweet.

And it's the best you can get
for plaster,

and it's cool how it makes a lot
of noise and vibrates, so...

to collect dirt samples,

but this can mix material
from different layers,

giving inaccurate test results.

A sonic drill contains
spinning weights in the head,

vibrating the hollow shaft
150 times a second.

When the drill touches
the ground,

the vibrations allow the bit to
bore straight through the dirt

and collect
a clean core sample.

I know to you guys this is just
another day of drilling,

but this is cool.

It's kind of like sticking
a straw into, like,

a milkshake, putting your thumb
on it and pulling it out.

So now what?

We'll pack up and go
and wash them,

and then we'll probably know
within a day

if it's worth mining.

good results from the sense

that they'll all be accurate,

but if this ground
is not minable,

I don't know what the future

south to the black hills.

One thing I do know is that one
of the biggest wash plants

that's been built
was built for this creek.

Four hundred yards an hour,
it's a massive plant,

but the big thing is
it's a big block of ground.

Whether we can make
