Dad

Why are you reading here so early in the morning?

I've to finish reading this book soon so I can return it to the library

What's the hurry? You can extend the loan period

Time once gone, is gone forever

Seize the day, as time and tide wait for no man

That's right

This book must've made you feel...

there is never enough time

Dad, you've lost weight recently

Are you feeling unwell?

Oh, I've been watching my diet

My blood pressure and blood sugar are kind of high

The doctor advised me to avoid oily food

Go do what you have to

I want to continue reading

I'll have tea and keep you company

Dad

Uncle Chuan -Grandpa

Aunt Shuyu -You're here

Ethan, have you had breakfast?

Yes

Everyone's here so early in the morning?

Grandma

What brings you here so early?

We're taking Ethan out to reward him for his good grades

But he insisted that you join us

Grandpa, Grandma, won't you join us?

I'm getting on in years, I can't walk too long

Go with your dad and mum

Let's not force him since he doesn't feel like it

We haven't gone out together in ages

It's not every day that both Zhirong and I are free

Let's have a family outing

Exactly. Otherwise, Ethan will be disappointed

Grandma, won't you come with us?

OK... You win

Grandpa, won't you join us too?

All right. Let me change into another outfit

It's so high up

Go for your mummy

Go for your daddy

OK... I admit defeat

You're awesome!

Awesome

Ethan is so energetic

I'm tired out playing with him

I've to admit that I'm not young anymore

Everyone ages

But what matters is, you have Ethan and Zhirong by your side

You'll be blissful, come what may

I hope Zhirong and I will be able to...

will grow old together like you and Mum

It's the wish of every couple to stay loving forever

But...

some promises can't stand the test of time

Although life is unpredictable,

you often say...

so long as we stay unwavering, we won't be easily swayed

What's the point of being obstinate all your life?

It's most important to seize the day

That may be important,

but staying together forever should be the ultimate goal

I didn't realize that in the past...

and made a mess of everything

I now know I'll love Zhirong for the rest of my life

You and Mum are my role models

I'll do my best to make sure we have a happy and everlasting marriage

You've finally got it

I'm really glad

It's never too late to put things right

Be sure to treasure what you have this time

Dad, I'll learn from you...

and make sure my marriage and family do not break up

Mimi, you're famous now

Many netizens are sharing the video of you choking

What's there to be happy about?

Did you see their comments?

They either say I'm attention-seeking...

or praise you for being quick-thinking, thus saving yourself from being crushed to death

Who cares? Everyone will forget about this incident in a few days

Hurry up. I'm meeting my friend to play video games

OK

There's a pimple on your face. I'll squeeze it for you

I'll do it myself

Let me do it

That's all for today. I've something on, got to go

Why does my skin feel hot to the touch?

Am I ill?

Junjie, a piano will be placed here tomorrow

Go check whether it's arrived

Kent

Recording isn't till tomorrow. What are you doing here?

I had a meeting with Dingyi and the others

I know you're here, so I came to see you

Have you asked your dad about what I wish to know?

I thought someone came here just to see me

Turns out she's here to fish for info

The devoted feels the pain of rejection

The devoted gets hurt by unrequited love

Are you mocking me or testing me?

The second line is song lyrics, not the poem

But you really hurt me

For your sake, I went to my dad's shop to ask him...

if he had a thing for your mum

And...

Don't you know how much your mum means to me?

I... I'm doing a show where we help middle-aged people find new love

I'm just seeking your opinion

Need you ask?

Your mum might have left us 15 years ago,

but she lives on in my heart

I'll never remarry

OK... Got it

You're not as hard-working as your brother. That's why you're not a doctor

All you do is produce improper shows

What does this have to do with Bro?

Besides, marriage concerns one's lifelong happiness

In what way is it improper?

Dad, my relationship with Shuyu has been getting more and more stable

It's time you met her parents

Sure. We ought to have a meal and discuss your relationship

You often see Shuyu's parents at the CC, don't you?

Not Xiaochuan

Cuifeng and I go to the same dance class,

and she looks me up at times

My dad didn't seem sheepish when he talked about your mum

I suppose there's nothing between them

Do you often go to your dad's medical hall?

Are you familiar with the smell of medicinal powder?

I guess so. Why?

This is my dad's medicinal powder

Do you know what kind of medicine it is?

There are beiqi, red dates and some others in it

I'm not sure what the others are

It should be medicine to replenish qi and nourish the blood

That puts my mind at ease

Where do you think we should go for the meal?

You're serious about having our parents meet?

But of course

I had to say that to sound my dad out

But...

I'm serious about you

Don't you think we can take our relationship to the next level?

What's that supposed to mean?

Look, I've waited so long for you that I've got crow's feet

Got it. I won't make you wait too long

Skin feels hot to the touch...

Heart beats faster?

Do I have heart disease?

(Yichun)

I'm outside your house

What are you doing? Just come in

If you want a man to take a second glance at you,

you must learn the art of talking

When you talk, never bark like a guard dog

No...

You've to be like a bird that's flying

Get it?

Caveman, don't you think...

there's something different about me today?

Yes

Didn't I ask you to get a beverage? Where is it?

You...

If you want a man to notice you,

you must learn the art of displaying your facial expressions

No matter what happens, be like a rabbit

Always maintain a smile

Good

Excellent, beautiful

Why don't you look carefully?

Don't waste time. Come on

Hold on. Let's walk together

If you want a man to compliment you,

you must learn the art of walking

When you walk, imagine you're...

a penguin

When you walk,

take small steps

What's wrong with you? You've got a leg cramp?

Darned Xiao-mi. He taught me useless stuff

Ladies and gentlemen, let's welcome...

the matchmaker for tonight, Yan Shuyu

A round of applause

What are you up to?

It's a good thing I'm doing

I'm helping you rehearse for Here Comes the Matchmaker

Why rehearse now? Worried that I'll ruin the show?

The thought of not seeing you every day makes me sad

Although the show is my concept...

and handled by my trusted producer,

it's a pity I can't work with you

That may be the case, but you can still see the matchmaker all the time

Are you asking me out?

You have a tough job

I should reward you

What is it?

It's a secret

Bye-bye -Bye

How dare you attack me! Bring it on

Go to hell...

Behind you! Drop the bomb

You're being a noob today. Why didn't you react faster?

Don't go too far

I specially changed my style today

Didn't you notice anything different?

Whatever. I've launched a new game. Let's play another round

Stop playing

What's wrong with you?

Look at me

I put on make-up today

I'm even wearing a dress

Do you feel anything special?

What?

Drop your act

I know you feel something for me

Why don't you be more direct?

Let's be a couple

A couple? Are you crazy?

I only regard you as a game friend and text friend

Then why did you take my bag for me?

You also said besides your family, I was the only girl to enter your room

Every time we play games, you go out of your way to rescue me

Can't friends do all those?

Moreover, you were the one who asked me to take your bag and rescue you in games

I've never fancied you, so don't talk nonsense

Don't waste time. Let's play the next round

Hurry up

Yichun

Go after her

Yichun

Let her be. There's something wrong with her today

Look who's talking

How could you say those words to her? She'll be terribly hurt

What did I say wrong?

She said she fancied me, but I don't fancy her

So I told her the truth

Still, you shouldn't have been so blunt

Let me give you an example

If I told you I didn't like your computer and smashed it with a hammer,

would you be upset?

You bet

Get it now?

You broke Yichun's heart just now

But you always say love cannot be forced and that we should make things clear

There's a way to make things clear

I wouldn't hurt someone who has feelings for me

Don't you feel guilty?

You're too emotional

You don't know the ways of the world

You're a keyboard warrior who hides in your room,

and you always shoot from the hip

It's tiring to hide the truth for fear of upsetting people

Just find the chance to apologize to Yichun, OK?

Why bother? She won't ever see me again

Darned Caveman

I'm burning down your cave

I want to destroy you

Go to hell...

Don't throw your shoes!

I bought them with you

The design is perfect for you

Why did you throw them?

It's all your fault

It was your lousy idea to have me learn this and that

You encouraged me to tell him how I feel

Look what happened

Do some soul-searching up there

Master, let me off

I have a fear of heights. Won't you let me come down?

Let me come down... Please?

Come down

Thank you, master

Master, a love confession either succeeds or fails

Most importantly... -Nonsense

Any idea how embarrassing it was to be rejected?

You're to blame

The art of walking?

The art of talking?

They're all nonsense

It's your fault I got embarrassed

It's all your fault...

Don't be angry, master

I've realized my mistake

Are you a fool?

Even if you don't retaliate, you can run away

Why stay here and get hit by me?

It's my fault that your love confession failed

I ought to be punished

You're my master after all

My good disciple

Come on, I'll buy you a meal

Wait here

It's so hot

Bro Yi, your treat

Yeah, give us a treat

Why have you come together?

We'll be filming nearby in a few days

We'd like to seek your boss' permission to film here in her shop

Since we're here, we'll enjoy the air con and get some coffee

Lady boss isn't around

But it shouldn't be a problem since she knows all of you

What show is it?

It's a street dating show. Shuyu will be the matchmaker

We'll look for a suitable date near the main character's office...

and deliver the date to the office

It's the first time I've heard of such a concept. How interesting

This is for you

Thank you

I can't wait to do the show. I wonder if the concept will work

Xiangting, why don't Kang and I get a cake?

Precisely. I want one too

Your share's here

Anna, do you have a boyfriend?

Keen to be on the show to look for one?

Why not?

What about you, Xiangting? Want Luna to find you a boyfriend?

That's not necessary

Xiangting doesn't need Luna's help

Why not? She's single and available too

It's so obvious and you can't tell?

What drink would you like?

Iced latte with extra ice. It's so hot

Give me the same thing

Sure, coming right up

Don't take it to heart

Little Apple and the others love gossiping and joking around

It's OK

Does your dad still harass you?

He hasn't been here ever since you drove him away

He takes you for his ATM. I bet he'll look you up again

Learn some self-defence moves from Yichun tomorrow at the gym

Are you going back to your office later?

I need to recce some more locations

You learn self-defence techniques to protect yourself

Besides teaching you some moves,

I'll also train you in your speed, coordination skills, and...

your reflexes

OK? -OK

Let's begin

Put your hand on my shoulder

Raise your right arm and turn to your right

Restrain his arm and press his head down

Use your left leg to restrain his leg and push him to the ground

You OK? -I'm fine

OK?

Let's do it for real this time. Come on

That's how you do it

You're awesome

How did you find training today? It was easy, wasn't it?

It's more fun than I expected

It feels great to exercise once in a while

Exercising more makes you fitter

Then you'll have the strength to beat the bad guys

I'll practise at home

Honestly, you did well for a beginner

My brother failed when he did it for the first time

Oh? He has pretty good moves

That's because I'm a great teacher

Otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to save the damsel in distress

Don't be absurd

You're blushing

Has the problem between you and my brother been solved?

I think so. Credit goes to Shuyu

You can count on Luna

So you two can get together?

I think we can take our relationship to the next level

It's like watching a drama

You two have overcome so many problems together

You can finally be together

That's right. Not every relationship starts out well

But persistence leads to hope

It's like when I'm in a competition,

my first move may not bring down my opponent

But if I persist and find her weakness,

I'll be able to defeat her

The same goes for love

Your first move may not always work

I've to try a few more times and win his heart

Let's go for it together

This space is reserved for your filming. You may place your stuff here

Thank you

Come and set things up

Is everything OK?

Thank you for agreeing to let us film in your office

Let me know if there's any part of the office we should avoid filming

There's no problem at all. Just make sure Ivan looks good on screen

No wonder they call you Angel CEO

You're supportive of your employee finding love

I believe in work-life balance

Only then will they be motivated to work harder

If only every boss were as supportive as you

Shuyu's the matchmaker in this show. I ought to show my support

By the way, I haven't thanked you for helping me solve the problem with Mr Mo

Are you free after filming today? Let's have a meal together

I'm afraid I can't. I'm meeting my girlfriend

Next time, perhaps

Here comes delivery

Kent, what brings you here?

I'm here to visit you guys on set. I brought snacks

Thanks

These snacks are for your staff

Sorry for inconveniencing you guys

You're too kind. These snacks will make them happy

Ivan, help me distribute them

Sorry, everyone. I'm here

Ah Jie

Charles, you're here too? I thought you'd be too busy to come

You're our celebrity endorser

Of course I need to be a good host when you're here filming

Ah Jie, we're starting filming soon

Could you get ready? -Got it

I'll go get ready. Talk to you later

All right, I'll leave you to it

Sure

I'll get back to work

Didn't sleep well last night?

I'm a little tired

I know it's tough. Do your best

I've got to go. I'll pick you up after filming

Hi, I'm Zhen Qing -I'm Luna

Here Comes the Matchmaker is here at this office...

to help deliver a romance

Let's go in -Let's begin

Hi

Hello, Ivan

This is Ivan, our male lead today

Let's ask him the question

What's your ideal girlfriend like?

Kind-hearted and amiable

What interests do you have?

I like exercising

So if the girl is bubbly and outgoing, all the better

Cut. Good take

Prepare for the next link

I'm famished. How many more scenes?

Now that we've got all the info,

let's set off to find Ivan a suitable date...

before delivering his romance to him

Without further ado, let's go

Let's go

OK? Good

Get ready

Rolling

3, 2, 1... Action

Hi, guys. Let's help Ivan look for some pretty girls

Come on

Hi, miss

Hi! Miss, you're so pretty -Thanks

May I know if you're single?

No, I'm not

I don't want to appear on TV

She doesn't want to appear on TV

Hi

Come over here

May I ask you a question?

What kind of man gives you a sense of security?

Someone with muscle

A man with muscle

We happen to know a guy who has muscle

He works as a section head in a company. Do you wish to meet him?

I'll think about it

All right, then. Thank you -Thanks

Over there

What now? We haven't found someone suitable yet

Surely we won't fail our first mission?

Relax. You can't force things to happen

You've got a point there. Let's go into this shop to try our luck

Come on

Hi

Hello, we're the hosts of Here Comes the Matchmaker

I'm Zhen Qing and she's Super Matchmaker

Can you tell us what your interests are?

Does eating cakes count as an interest?

I eat at least one slice every day

No wonder you work at a pastry shop

If we get to know a pastry chef,

we'll introduce him to you

Thank you

Thanks

She's not suitable

Well, looks like we'll have to continue looking

But that's OK

I have faith in Super Matchmaker

Cut. Good take

Come

Take ten -OK

Don't worry, you look good

You must've waited a long time

What's wrong? Are you feeling down or unwell?

I didn't sleep well last night. I guess I've caught a cold

Or are you feeling troubled?

Zhirong

Dad...

Zhirong

Kang needs to brief you on the next shot

Sure

Wait for me. I'll make you a cup of latte

Are you OK...

Dingyi

Is everything all right? I heard a sound

I'll let you two talk. See you

I need to get ready for filming

Romance, delivered. Please acknowledge receipt

It's you?

Don't tell me you know each other?

No, we don't

But I've seen her buying tissue packs...

from a physically challenged uncle outside the train station

I also once saw you picking up fruit for an auntie

I remember you too

I often see you in the train on my way to work and after work

You seem to be fond of reading

That's right. It's a habit of mine

Both of you are fated to meet

Congrats. I'm sure you'll have a happy marriage

I wish you happiness in advance

Thank you. Thank you, Super Matchmaker

This is wonderful. Our mission today is a...

Success

Cut. Good take

It's a wrap

It's a wrap

Thank you -Thank you, everyone

We're done for today

The bus is here. Let's go down

Luna, you're really impressive

You found someone I like

Thank you for telling me I might meet my Mr Right...

and not to miss the opportunity

Otherwise, I wouldn't have met Ivan

I guess I could feel the affinity you two share

But this is just the first step

You've to maintain your relationship to make it last, OK?

What kind of heels are these?

My feet hurt so much

I should've worn my own heels

Your shoes show you the way to your goal in life

Don't throw them around

Who told you that?

My mum

Use this plaster

Thank you

You've knocked off? Want to have dinner together?

Sorry, I'm meeting someone

Dear

Ready to go?

This is my girlfriend, Carol

This is Zhen Qing

Hi

Hi. You're as pretty as you are on screen

Thanks

How did the filming go?

It went well

Zhen Qing is a professional

Carol, I don't mean to be rude,

but what is your Chinese name?

Why do you ask that?

I think I know you,

but I don't remember your name being Carol

My Chinese name is Jia'er

Perhaps we've met at an event

Sorry, we made a reservation at a restaurant

We have to go

OK. Bye

Bye

I remember you

You were from Nan Xin Primary School, weren't you?

You were from Nan Xin too?

We attended a leadership camp together, remember?

Oh, right. I think I remember you

It's been so many years. I didn't recognize you

Time to knock off

Shall we have dinner together?

Sure, let's celebrate the good start to our show

Shall we get Bro Yi to buy us a meal?

Little Apple, you're always getting me to give you a treat

You've all worked hard today. I'll treat you guys to seafood

Awesome! Bro Yi is the best

I knew we were in the right team

Super Matchmaker, want to join us?

No, thanks. I have something on

Little Apple, could you help me return this outfit?

Sure -Thank you

Bye-bye

It's Shuyu's phone

Hang on

I'll return it to her

Pick a restaurant and make a reservation. I'll look for you later

Great

Shuyu

You forgot your phone

Thank you

What's the matter? You've been out of sorts all day

Really?

I did my best today

I didn't affect filming, did I?

No worries. You were professional

You did your best to find Ivan a match

Thank goodness

It's my duty to do that

I can't possibly find him someone unsuitable

So, what's bothering you?

We're close, aren't we?

You can confide in me

Let me ask you,

if your family is in trouble,

and keep it from you so as not to worry you,

but you happen to find out,

will you ask him to stop lying or play along with him?

Well...

Since he means to keep it from me,

I'll go along with him

But if you keep mum,

you'll find it hard to hide your concern

Indeed

If you really can't keep mum,

say it out

Facing the problem as a family...

beats having everyone suffering alone

Bro Yi

There's trouble

Kent called to say Charles' employees had their belongings stolen

They suspect the culprit is one of our crew members

After you left, a few of our employees found out their wallets had gone missing

Carol's diamond ring was also stolen

It was a customized ring that cost more than 10K

10K?

Honestly, this has never happened in our office before

So I had to check with you

You suspect our crew?

There are no CCTVs in the office

So we checked the footage from the CCTV at the entrance

Besides our employees,

only the production crew was here all day

That doesn't prove the culprit is our crew member

To be fair, I went through all the belongings of my staff

I didn't find any stolen item

Did you check properly?

I trust my crew. They wouldn't steal

You mean, I'm accusing you because I'm covering for my staff?

Dingyi didn't mean that

Charles, here's what I think

This matter concerns the reputation of both parties

We've to investigate thoroughly and handle this appropriately

Before we find any proof,

let's not make any accusation

I should make a police report

But Carol doesn't wish to blow things up

I hope you'll be able to give me an explanation

Sure. Sorry for troubling you

We'll investigate this matter

How did such a thing happen?

We were going to have a seafood feast to celebrate

Dingyi, George has learnt of the matter

He's livid. He wants you to write him a report

I'll go back to the TV station and talk to the crew

Bro Yi, I'll go back with you

Will this affect your work?

Probably not

Go back, quick. I'll see Shuyu home

Call me if anything crops up

Let's go

Come on

Dad, where did you go?

I went out for a walk

Dad

Come, sit down

Are you unwell?

I'm all right

I'm getting old. I only went for a short walk and I feel dizzy

I'll get you a drink of water

Shuyu

I'm fine

It's just a minor ailment. Don't make a fuss

OK. I'll go back to the kitchen

When will you stop acting?

You care for each other,

but pretend not to

You'd rather suffer alone

Why do this?

Dad, drop the act

You too, Mum

I know everything
