I hereby recognize

Li Ziyi as the head of the Imperial Guards.

That's all.

I, Li Ziyi, accept the decree.

Thank you for your grace, Your Majesty.

Why?

Why the Dragon Guardians?

And that musket...

Wuji's investigation

is related to the murder of Tang family.

He can't die yet.

Master, are you soft on him?

He's one of the Dragon Guardians who put you in danger three years ago.

Tang family was kind to me.

I must investigate their case.

If it was really Wuji

who tried to kill me back then,

I will kill him with my own hands.

Mi'er,

you should cooperate well with me in the performance later.

Before that,

do not act rashly.

Yes, Master.

(Yuqing Palace)

Lanying,

do you know why people compare women to flowers?

Flowers won't stay blooming for long.

Even if they're gorgeous,

it's just for a fleeting moment.

But you are the empress.

You will keep your youth

and beauty forever.

Your Majesty,

you never understand what I want.

If you can sleep peacefully like this,

I can be tolerant of you.

The poison in His Majesty's body

has moved from the throat

to the heart and lungs.

Good.

(Yuqing Palace)

Your Majesty, Prince Chu is waiting outside the palace.

Let him in.

Yes.

Greetings, Your Majesty.

May you have a good day.

Prince Chu, please rise.

Thank you.

I have an important matter to report to you alone.

Lanying is one of us.

It's okay to say it in front of her.

Yes.

Your Majesty,

the situation in Jinshan is urgent.

Now they are willing to propose a marriage alliance.

Once the marriage alliance is achieved,

they are bound to help you with all their strength.

Good.

It's just what I wanted.

Lately, the Crown Prince has been leaving the palace frequently.

I fear something is afoot.

I will leave this matter to you.

The sooner it is solved, the better.

Yes.

The princess of Jinshan has already arrived in Liyue City.

In my opinion,

we should let the Crown Prince marry her as soon as possible.

However, as per reports from our spies,

recently, the Crown Prince often visits the Huafeng House,

a brothel.

I'm afraid it might damage his reputation.

If the princess of Jinshan finds out,

the marriage alliance might be affected.

Affected?

That's impossible.

Also,

how is the matter with Governor Li going on?

Is there any suspicion?

Your Majesty, don't worry.

I have already spread the rumors

saying that Governor Li poisoned himself as he was found colluding with the enemy

and planning treason.

But there has been intervention in the process.

The people who have been bothering you

have seemingly joined forces.

At the crucial moment,

you can eliminate the root cause.

There must be no mistakes.

Yes.

I'll take my leave.

Everything is under control.

You can rest assured.

It seems your health has been fully recovered.

Yes, I'm fine now.

I was just thinking

that since we are already husband and wife,

we don't have to sleep in separate rooms anymore.

So I asked Xi'er to move all my things over here.

My dear,

you wouldn't mind, would you?

Why would I mind?

I'm sorry for not being considerate.

I should have shared the bed with you earlier.

So this is what you referred to as sleeping together?

I occasionally snore when I sleep.

I'm afraid it might disturb your rest.

It doesn't matter.

We are a couple, after all.

We should always care for each other.

Speaking of that,

may I ask you a question?

Feel free to ask.

Have you ever heard

of the Dragon Guardians?

I am one of them.
