THE ZOMBIE SOCIOLOGY SERIES.

A ZOMBIE IN MY BED.

You scared me. Good morning.

Excuse me, are you following me?

You're quite persistent.

Have we met before?

You don't look familiar.

That's good. Mystery is nice.

I like mystery.

Honestly, I absolutely love it.

I have nothing against men who don't say much. On the contrary.

The silent ones tend to be the smart ones.

I prefer the silent, smart type.

I'm not that type though.

I'm a little chatty.

I've been with men who talked as much as me.

It was tedious.

They say that common ground is needed to get along,

but I say that opposites attract.

I prefer to be with a quiet type.

I think we'll enjoy talking to each other,

or rather, I'll enjoy talking, and you'll enjoy listening.

Just kidding.

That joke did not really work out. No matter.

Sometimes you just have to try things.

I need to go home.

I need to feed my cat, then change.

You want to come over for a drink?

Come on, hurry up.

One, two. One, two.

Look what I found.

I always have one in the fridge.

Champagne never goes bad.

It's good to have one for special occasions.

You never know when you'll need it.

You need it on Christmas, but sometimes on other days as well.

I did not think I would meet someone today.

Encounters always happen when you least expect them.

The more you seek them, the less often they happen.

And you? Did you expect such an encounter today?

To think that some find life monotonous. I pity them.

I'm lucky.

Yes, I'm lucky.

You can't imagine how lucky I am.

It makes me feel guilty.

Luckily, I manage my guilt well.

Some people are not as privileged as me.

Between my happiness and the misery of others,

I choose my happiness.

I'm more likely to infect others with my happiness.

The unexpected always happens to me.

You know why?

Because I expect nothing.

Want to hear some music?

Some relaxing music?

No, I know.

Indian music, with tablas and sitars.

Let's do that.

It takes a while to get into it.

You have to make an effort.

Efforts are always rewarded.

Some are not, I suppose.

One must reach for goals that are both pleasant and achievable.

It's nice.

I forgot the glasses.

It's funny. I bought these coupes recently.

They're pretty.

Would you prefer a flute glass?

No, I'll choose.

You chose the music. It's my turn.

I feel like coupes.

The coupe and the flute are distinct philosophies.

You can be both coupe and flute though.

I used to be flute. Very flute.

Now, I am coupe.

The champagne.

You're quite aggressive. We haven't had our drinks yet.

I'm all wet.

It's kind of your fault.

Your impatience flatters me.

A man on a hurry does not offend me.

I would do the same if I were a man.

Some women feel objectified.

They think their body is desired, but not their being.

I don't feel that.

I am one with my body. We're one and the same.

My appearance is my essence.

I hide nothing.

It's like I'm naked.

I wouldn't mind forgoing clothes.

I don't get the notion of hiding one's intimate parts.

What makes them especially intimate anyway?

Who made that decision?

It was probably invented to manipulate people.

It's like high walls around a big mansion. They hide everything.

They provoke curiosity.

They make people want to peek beyond them.

The day we're finally allowed in, we feel privileged.

You gave me goosebumps.

It's hard to escape you.

I often force myself to go against my desire. It intensifies it.

I love it.

Don't you?

Can't you control yourself?

Just a little longer.

Controlling one's desire is wonderful.

It's a shame to get rid of it too quickly.

It nourishes the imagination.

Desire sustains us internally.

To desire is to be alive.

One can say that you are extra alive.

What is satisfaction, after all?

It's the death of desire.

Granted, this death can be sweet,

but satisfaction is so swift, so ephemeral.

Desire, however, can last for a long time.

Why this rush to quell one's desires?

Let us celebrate our impatience instead.

Let's toast it.

Are you there?
