- [Voiceover] This morning I woke up feeling really tired

so I stayed in bed later than usual.

Everybody else was already up

and taking care of their chores.

Father was milking the goat,

and Fritz was helping with the animals.

Even Jack was doing his share.

- You're such a good boy.

Where's Becca?

- She's still in bed.

- I can't stop thinking about yesterday.

I was supposed to stay home and do my school work.

(rain pouring)

Instead, I snuck out and went exploring in the jungle.

I got lost and then a fierce storm started.

Luckily, I found a cave and tried to dry off

and wait for the rain to stop.

But it kept getting worse and worse.

Then I started to wonder if jackals lived in there.

(lightning crashing)

(screaming)

(crying)

- Becca!

(crying)

- Help me, Daddy.

I'm so glad it's all over.

- [Becca's Mother] Becca, breakfast is ready.

Come down and eat.

(inhales)

(grunting)

(bangs)

- Ow, my poor head!

Maybe, I'll pretend that I'm not feeling very well

because I got so wet.

Father might not punish me too severely.

Oh, but I don't want to lie.

- Have you decided what we should do about Becca?

- We should not be treating this issue so lightly, you know.

She misbehaved and she should be punished.

- Mmm. She really had a hard time of it yesterday.

Poor child was frightened out of her wits.

It could've turned out to be a whole lot worse!

- Stand up on the chair

and place your hands out on the table.

This seems to be the only way to get through to you.

- Hmm. I'm afraid I'll never finish this.

kind of like in my reader.

- Children, I brought you some fruit for your lunch.

There's a lot of work to be done

so don't expect us back until late.

Make sure that you and Jack

bring the goats back inside, all right?

(sawing)

- [Voiceover] I was really happy to be back

in the good graces of my family again.

I sure learned my lesson,

the hard way.

I decided that from that moment on,

I would try to do my best

to never, ever break a rule.

(sighing)

(goats bleating)

(sawing) (grunting)

And he was really brave.

(everyone laughing)

- [Voiceover] I felt really warm and cozy

in my bed that night

because I knew I had learned something really special today.

I learned something new about the difference

between what is right and what is wrong.

I think I'll be learning about that for the rest of my life.
