Becca was a good watcher.

I didn't get into any trouble.

- So, Dad, tell me about the house.

Will I be able to have my own room and everything?

- We'll see, Becca.

This is taking a lot longer than I thought.

Now run along and help your mother.

- Will the house be big like the one in Switzerland?

Will you build a kids room?

- Well, we'll do what we can, Becca.

We're building as we go along.

- Oh, Dad, I just can't wait to move in.

I bet it's great.

- Now, Becca, don't get your hopes up.

It's just a tree house.

(fire crackles)

- Mother, I'm bored.

- I'm sorry, Becca, but I'm busy right now.

I'm trying to prepare tonights dinner.

- How 'bout if we play something after dinner?

We could play hide-and-go-seek,

or how about playing pin the tail on the donkey...

- Becca, I don't have time for games right now.

I meant later. (mother sighs)

Right after we have dinner, we can do something fun.

- Becca, I'm sorry, after dinner all I want to do

is go to sleep.

- But I really haven't been able to do anything all day.

so hard all day long, dear.

Fritz sure seemed awfully tired tonight.

- He really worked very hard today.

- In the city, he never lifted heavy things

or worked with his hands like he does here on the island.

- Um-hm, it's good for him.

He's getting some exercise, and more importantly,

it's helping him keep his mind off Emily.

- He never mentions her anymore.

I almost wish he would, he keeps his emotions so hidden.

- Hmm, he'll be all right.

He's just going through a very difficult period in his life.

He'll be fine.

- Well, at least we don't have to worry about Becca.

She doesn't have a care in the world.

- Becca seems to have adjusted the best.

She has a great sense of humor.

We could all learn from her.

She has the uncanny ability to turn every single situation

into a humorous one.

We should all try to maintain a positive outlook

just like Becca.

- [Anna] You're right, dear, she's an inspiration to us all.

(birds chirping)

- [Fritz] Morning, Mother.

- [Anna] Ernst, would you like some coconut milk?

- I don't know, I haven't seen her.

- [Anna] You fellows ready for lunch?

- Yes, I'm hungry.

Well, I must have put it in this bag.

Oh dear, I can't seem to find our lunch anywhere.

(dog barking)

- Mother! Father!

- Oh, Becca.

- Here's your lunch.

You forgot to bring it along.

- You brought lunch?

That was very thoughtful.

What do we have here?

- I picked them all by myself.

- Hello, Becca, how very thoughtful.

We're going to have you deliver our lunch every day.

I've never seen trees like that in Switzerland.

They look like a bunch of octopus dancing. (giggles)

- Oh look, there she is floating on that tree.

And I learned something very important today,

that things aren't always the way they seem.

Like when I thought my parents didn't care about me anymore,

or like thinking that the tree wouldn't move.

Oh, well, I guess you do learn something new every day.

And it was nice spending the day with my entire family.

Oh, and by the way,

we ate a delicious lobster for dinner that night.
