my crowning achievement

the Frog goes sailing on boat.

I painted that when I
was eight years old.

I think you can see why I kept

this stuff hidden for so long.

I owe this art to
a lot of people.

The subjects of course,
like Eric Conroy,

who was so much to me.

He was a father, a hero,

and just, so much more.

And a lot of people
actually inspired me

but, only one kicked
me in the ass.

And he did it hard.

And he gave me the
courage to bring my art

out of the closet and
take me along with it.

And I'd like to imagine that
he was actually here tonight.

And I'd like to finish this
relatively awkward speech

by thanking him publicly.
