is the new hot bed

for weird phenomena
and UFO encounters.

In this documentary, we
speak to eight people

with eyewitness accounts
of UFO sightings

in Australia, the
land down under.

[whooshing]

We will ask their opinion
on alien abduction

and their experiences
on the subject.

None of the people being
interviewed have ever met,

yet they all seem to
claim similar encounters,

which will shock
you to the core.

Is Australia next on the map

to be infected by
the alien plague?

During the course
of this documentary

we will find out all you need

to prepare yourself
for aliens down under.

Algis, 66 years old from
Doncaster, Victoria.

Once a skeptic, changed
his mind forever

when he spotted a UFO at sunset

moving at incredible speeds
above the Christmas Hills.

- This happened
quite a while ago,

probably when I was
about 19, or 20.

So, decades-wise it was probably

1970, '71, somewhere
around there.

And I've never been one sort of,

that believed in
that sort of thing,

but I was always open-minded

about those sort of
sightings, and so on.

But when it happens
to you, you sort of,

you rethink the situation.

And my brother, at the
time, lived at Kalorama,

which is top of Mount Dandenong,

and his placed look
out over Lilydale

and towards Christmas
Hills, that area.

And I think we'd been over for,

it was a birthday, or Sunday
lunch, or something like that,

and it was late afternoon,
the sun was still up,

but sort of starting to set,

so there's still daylight.
[eerie music]

And I went out onto the balcony

just to have a look at the view,

and I noticed in the distance,

sort of towards Christmas Hills,

there was a very bright light.

And I didn't take
any notice of it,

I thought, oh, it's a
helicopter or something,

but the brightness of
the light sort of said,

no, it's too bright
to be an airplane,

or a helicopter,
something like that.

And I called my brother and
some of the other people

that were there and they
came out and I'm just,

"Look at that," they said,
"Oh my goodness," you know?

And same thing, we
all thought, yeah,

maybe a helicopter,
something like that.

But the speed at
which it was flying,

it was no way it could've
been a helicopter,

or any other thing, because
the way it was darting around,

it sorta would fly over
the peak, disappear,

then fly back, then
fly along the edge,

and we said, no, this is
weird, this is really weird.

And so, we left it at that.

I went home, and when
I got home I said,

"No, I can't leave it at that."

And I had a look
in the phone book,

and Department of Defense
and so on, and Air Force,

and they did have a section of
unidentified flying objects,

or unidentified sightings,
or something like that.

I rang them up, there was
people on duty, it was a Sunday.

I told them what I saw,
and the guy so said,

"You're not the first
sighting we've had today,

"all from roughly
the same area."

I thought, oh, this is
getting interesting.

Hairs prick up on
your arms and so on.

So, "We're gonna
send you some forms

"and want you to fill 'em
all in," and duh-duh-duh.

About four days later
I got the forms,

and filled them in, and
directions where it came from,

and when I first noticed
it, and things like that.

and I mean, I wrote
down what I saw.

I basically saw the light
come over the top of the hill,

and then it started
to sort of almost fly

along the contours, and
then it would duck over

the other side again, then
come back further on it,

and as I said, the speed...

No helicopter can go that.

Well, maybe now, but
back then, no way.

No way.

And so, I fill all the forms in,

and sorta thinking back on it,

the brightness of the light,
you sorta start to think,

well, it's way over there

on the Christmas
Hills, how big was it?

You know, if you see
a light that bright

it's gotta have some size to it.

And I would've guessed
it would've been,

if you put a diameter
on an end the size of...

The object or whatever,
I'd probably estimate

it would've been, geez,
would've had to been the size

of maybe, say four
containers put together.

So, it was a decent size.

And sent all the forms in, and
never heard anything again.

No answer, nothing at all.

Ring them again, whatever.

So, it's always been
a mystery to me.

What was it I saw?

What was it the
other people saw?

And it's just left in
limbo, I've never known.

No, it was a normal
phone call, what was it?

20 cents back then, or whatever.

'Cause there's no
mobile phones back then,

so it was all landline.

And they were matter
of fact about it,

there was no giggles
or anything like that.

And they just said, "Yes,
we've had other reports

"from the same area at
about the same time."

So, when you think, I wasn't
the only one to see it,

all sorts of things
go through your mind.

And I often think about
it, but no answer.

- [Rick] We asked him
if he knew anyone else

that may have had
similar experiences.

- Only the people that were
there on the day that saw it,

and same sort of thing,

they weren't believers, but
they weren't disbelievers,

and when you see
something like that

you start to question
a lot of things,

and you start to question
a lot of cover ups

that may have happened there
by government, and so on,

and you start thinking about
all the conspiracy theories,

and things like that.

I think there are some
grounding in some of them.

Some I think are maybe just BS,

but it's the big
unknown out there still,

there's so much we don't know.

I can't believe that there
isn't life out there somewhere.

Maybe we're not ready to
communicate with them there.

Maybe they look at the
way [laughing] we live,

and they say, "Well, no,
not going near them."

So, it's fascinating, it's
absolutely fascinating.

- [Rick] We ask
him if he believed

that these sightings
happened more often

in the mountain ranges
as opposed to the city.

- I don't know, I've never
sort of really followed it up,

just always been in
the back of my mind

that I know what I saw.

And it's still unexplained.

And the fact that the Air
Force didn't get back,

okay, if they didn't
get back, why?

Why didn't they answer?

Why didn't they say,
no it was nothing.

Nope, nothing, not a word.

- [Rick] And finally,
we asked him if he knew

why the government persists
in covering up this knowledge.

- Well, all right, let's
go conspiracy theories.

Maybe it's not a highly
populated area around there,

maybe the government of the
day was testing something.

Maybe it really was something,
maybe it was an apparition,

but gee, to do that with
mirrors, not a chance.

Not a chance.

And it wasn't so
much that this object

was a series of lights, it was
just one very bright light.

And the brightness, at
that time of evening

was extremely bright, and again,

the speed of the thing,
that was the big giveaway,

otherwise we wouldn't
have questioned

if it was a helicopter.

It's one of those things
that you always wonder about,

and you think, well,
I wonder what it was.

And yeah, things happened
that you see somewhere

and you start looking at things

from a different perspective.

But the fact that something
like this happened...

Unexplainable.

- [Rick] Natalie, 32 years old

from Carnegie, Victoria
explains in detail

the day her friend called her,

and asked her to come
and witness firsthand

a group UFO encounter.

She explains that it looked like

something straight
out of a movie,

and has scarred her
memory to this day.

- So, Nathan, it was a typical
school day from my memory.

Victoria.

I was in the south eastern
suburbs with my mom,

and it was a summer's day,
I believe, blue skies.

And I'd gone to school.

I think I was grade three.

Grade three then,
so, in the '90s.

And I was at home.

So, into the point now, it
was a great day, normal day,

school day, got home, and
then I receive a phone call

to the landline at home.

And happened to answer it,

and it was one of my
good friends from school.

I won't mention her name.

And so, we just chatted.

No, we actually
didn't just chat,

she was quite anxious.

And I'm like, "What's going on?"

And she said, "Natalie, Natalie,

"I'm about to jump into
the car with my sister

"and we're going to
head down your way,

"down your street,
because I'm fairly sure

"I can see a UFO in the sky."

Now, thinking back, I'm
trying to piece it together.

Even I'm not 100%
believing myself,

because I'm trying
to figure out,

how did she know that the UFO
was gonna go down my street?

And it was my landline.

This is where my memory may
fail me, I'm not sure enough.

Got back in touch with
this friend and her sister.

The sister does
recall the incident,

but we can't figure
out how we knew,

how they knew, it was
gonna come down my street.

So, yeah, she said, "We'll
be down your street in,"

however long it takes from
her place to my place,

which it isn't far,
maybe five minutes.

So, back then we don't have
smartphone just to use time,

[laughing] as a gauge.

So simple.

And yeah, we timed
it, I told my mom.

My mom's fairly open-minded,
and she was all hyped up.

I'm like, "Okay, okay."

So, we got in the car,
and I think we just waited

until they were
coming down my street.

And yeah, and sure
enough they came down,

and we started following them,

and we saw something in the sky.

And my mom's trying to
concentrate on driving,

but we could see it,
and we're just...

We're just following this...

Well, at first we're
wondering, is it a satellite?

Is it a plane?

No, it's not a plane.

Could it be a hot air balloon?

Anything but, we
had in our minds,

it's a UFO because of
what my friend said.

But we did try to
eliminate, naturally,

and even though I was a
kid I still had some sense,

my mom was talking, you know?

And we just saw it
traveling down our road,

and we turned...

At the end.

And not long after we turned
to the end of the road

it sort of started to
just get out of sight.

So, during that time
we saw it change.

Whether it was because it was
moving and turning around,

it was like a sort
of, sphere shape,

not a couple saucer,
but it was like

what you see in the movies.

'Cause I'm thinking
it was so far away,

I can't really see the
dimensions exactly,

but at some points you
could definitely see

it turning and
there were lights.

There were lights all
around, different colors,

and they were
blinking, or something,

they were moving, and at
times it would just go there,

and then at other
times it would...

Go there, and then
it just at one point,

it just traveled so
quickly, and it went.

But it certainly left
a memory in my mind.

So, after that, we
went back to our rooms.

And we're like, worried
about this, you know?

[laughing]

It's not everyday you
potentially see a UFO.

As I said before, I
don't know if it was.

I feel like it was,
but I can't confirm it.

How are you gonna confirm?

As mentioned, I eliminated
all the possibilities.

My mom called a special
number to report it,

and they took down the
story, and the event,

and they took down the details.

I don't think we
heard back from them.

Not sure what they do
with the information.

Yeah, so, just before
I came here [laughing]

I called up this
friend in question

who sparked it
all, instigated it,

and she had some
troubles remembering,

but it came back to her.

Because initially she
couldn't remember,

I said, "Well, let
me call your sister."

So, her sister is in
the science industry,

and she believed
it wasn't a UFO.

I mean, I'm not
stereotyping scientists,

but they're fully
factual people, right?

So, she said, "No,
it was a blimp."

And she says, "Because the
days after that happened

"we saw a blimp for
the next several days."

And I feel, and in my mind,
that it was a cover up,

just to put people off.

I don't know.

It may have been a blimp,
but my friend's sister

thinks it was a blimp,
and she thinks a blimp

can travel that fast.

She said, "They can
travel fairly fast."

But sorry, I've never seen
a blimp travel that fast.

She said, "Well, it was
overcast," things like that,

but in my mind it
was a day like today.

Blue skies, clear.

[eerie music]

- [Rick] Rebecca, 45 years old

from Clayton, Victoria
had a life-changing event

when she saw a UFO
as big as the sun.

Shockingly, years later,

her brother encountered
the same craft.

- Okay, so, the first
incident I can remember,

I would've been about
seven years old.

I lived in Balwyn,
Whitehorse Road at the time,

and I remember we came
home from somewhere,

my parents and my
brother and myself,

and I was looking up
Whitehorse Road towards

the dead end on the end.

And I was looking in the
sky, I think it was the sun

that was out, and there
was something in the sky

that was as big as the sun.

It was enormous, and it looked
to me to be like a planet,

something the size of a planet.

And it moved in
front of the sun,

it didn't block the sun,
it had multiple colors,

and I told my
parents at the time.

And they had reminded
me over the years

that I had said this,
because as a seven year old

I was trying to understand
how something that big

could fit inside our planet.

I couldn't work it out.

And then, years
later when I was 16,

my brother recalled
seeing the same thing.

I didn't know, I didn't remember

that he had been
standing next to me.

And one day he just
happened to mention

what it looked like exactly,

and that he'd seen it too. So,
that was pretty incredible.

I've always wanted to know
what it was that I saw.

It was just so enormous.

And, yeah.

If I had to say
what size it was,

looking up in the
sky, it would've been

the same size as the sun.

- [Rick] On her second
encounter she explains

that the UFO came close enough

for her to reach
out and touch it.

- Father was visiting, this
would've been '98, '99.

And I was saying goodbye to him,

we were walking
out the driveway.

I was living in Ferntree
Gully at the time.

And he looked up in
the sky and he saw

three glowing orange balls
of light coming towards us.

And he said, "What's that?"

I said, "I don't know."

And it got really really closed.

If I had have been
standing on the roof

of my house I
would've touched it.

That's how close.

It wasn't miles away in the
sky, it was really close.

And you could tell there
was some intelligence to it,

because they weren't
connected in any way,

they were separated,

and each orange ball of light
maneuvered around each other.

They did this sort
of, formation flying.

And there was no noise at all.

It was like three
quiet floating ghosts.

My husband managed to get a
little bit of it on video tape.

And yeah, that
was extraordinary.

We rang the UFO
hotline at the time,

and as we were reporting it,

they were asking,
"Is it a balloon?"

Is it this or that. My
dad got on the phone

and explained what
he'd seen as well,

and while we were on the phone

a hundred other
people had called,

and it was in Narre
Warren by that point.

And it was really fast, just
the speed at which it moved.

Just, it glowed
orange like the sun,

but it was this brilliant light,

like something
you've never seen.

And yeah, they were
pretty incredible.

- [Rick] On her third encounter,

she claims the UFO came and sat

right on top of her
neighbor's house.

- It happened in my street,
I was living in Rowville,

at the time would've been
around the year 2000.

And...

It was about 10:30 at night.

I came out front, I was
going to visit my mother,

and I called my ex-husband up

and he'd come over
to watch my kids.

He came into the house,
I walked out the front,

put my keys in the
car and looked up,

and there's a UFO
sitting right on top

of my neighbor's house,
just looking at me.

It was white, bright,
brilliant white,

and it just sat there,
and I just looked at it

thinking, what's
that doing there?

And then it just blinked out.

And I didn't know
what had happened,

so I got in my car,
and I drove around

to behind the
neighbor's house to see

if it had landed behind,

because it just
disappeared so quickly,

I couldn't register
what had happened.

- [Rick] We asked her
how it is that she came

to have had so many
encounters in her life,

and if she believed there
was a reason for it.

- We had family history
experiences, like grandparents.

My grandfather was in the
Royal Australian Air Force,

he and my grandmother,
and their whole street

saw a sighting in Blackburn.

- [Rick] We also asked
her what the aliens

may have looked like.

- They glow so
hard that you can't

actually see through the glow.

Couldn't see a craft underneath
all that shining glow,

it was just like, yeah,
as bright as the sun.

It's almost...

Like a white hot fire, you know?

But yeah, you couldn't
see anything through it.

And I don't know if that's
because they were in motion,

or what, but yeah,
couldn't see anything

through the actual glow.

- [Rick] Finally, we asked
her if her experiences

were frightening or not.

- I don't know why,
but I'm not afraid,

I'm more intrigued and excited.

So, when I saw them
I was just in awe,

just in absolute fascinated awe.

Which I think, yeah, I
guess if I had seen a beam

or something had come
out, perhaps that would be

completely different,
and I could understand

why people would be petrified,

but yeah, just seeing
the craft itself, no.

That was just extraordinary.

- [Rick] Shaun, 48,

from St. Kilda, Victoria
explains in detail

about a UFO he sighted.

He claims that the
aliens use the clouds

as shields for a way to spy
on us defenseless humans.

- Night of September, 1989,

I was living in Broadmeadows.

And my court, once
you came out of it,

there was no houses
built on the area yet.

So, you could see
over to the sea,

see some of the
view into the sea,

and you could see also,

over to the left you could
see a part of the airport,

a bit past the airport.

Anyway, this night I'm
coming out of the court,

and I looked up and I'm seeing
the torch lights in the sky.

And I thought, wow, UFOs.

So, anyway, they were
just torch lights,

and I thought, well, I
was going to the shop,

so I had to go pick up
dinner, get some stuff,

so I just, you know.

But always kept the eyes on
what was going on back there

and just walked down.

Went to the shop and I said
to the shopkeeper, I go,

"Mate, there's UFOs in the sky."

And he came out and he
had a look, and he goes,

"Oh, no, no, they're lights
from the Spoleto Festival."

So, I'm like, "Oh yeah, right,"

so I was disappointed, you know?

I wanted it to be UFOs.

I read in a few books,

"Communion", I think
it was at the time.

So, I was disappointed,
but that's fair enough,

that's a good explanation.

So, I walk back, and
as I'm walking back,

I see two lights aren't moving,

they're just sitting
behind the clouds sort of,

or in the clouds.

So, I'm thinking, well,
if these are lights

from the Spoleto Festival, why
are they just sitting there?

Why aren't they moving
around and doing things

as the other ones were?

Seven or eight of them.

And so, I decided, I'll take
all the stuff back to my house,

get my parents what they wanted,

and I'll go back out.

And I knew there was
this rock out there,

it was like a lounge
chair, massive rock,

volcanic rock, so I
went back out to that,

which was by myself in the bush,

I mean, in scrub land, you
know, grass maybe this high,

and went and sat there.

And it didn't take long,
took about half an hour.

And I noticed one of
the lights looked like

it was going on and
off at this stage.

What was really happening
was the cloud was thinning.

I didn't know that at the time.

And then as I kept watching,
I noticed there was something

moving in the cloud, and it
was going around in a circle,

and there was a
light on one side,

so that's why it was
going on and off,

'cause as the cloud thinned,
that light was getting brighter

and going dimmer
as the thing was

spinning around in the circle.

So, I'm looking at that.

I don't know why, I
waited for almost,

it was either three
or five seconds,

I counted to myself
and looked at it.

And I'm like, they're real.

And I don't know, I
must've looked at it

for about another five,
but then my mind went away

and I went, oh, the
other one, the other one.

So, I looked over,
it's clear as day, too.

It was like an ice cream cone,

that's the only way
I can explain it,

but all sealed up
all the way through,

except right down the end,
the pointy bit was to the top,

of the ice cream
cone, you could say,

was pointing to
the top of the sky,

and the flat part of the ice
cream cone was to the bottom,

and right down the bottom there

was rusty red, almost orange,

most horrible color I've
ever seen in my life,

and green lights sorta dotted
out across the bottom of it.

Didn't move.

Didn't make one
millimeter of a movement.

It's just like it was
staring back at me

as I was staring at it.

It was quite strange.

And anyway, I think it
must've been only about

10 or so more seconds there.

It was really sort of
really cloudy night,

clouds moved back over 'em.

You could still see 'em there,

but it was like it was
when I first saw them,

there was just that light
thing, just two light things.

So, I must've been
watching the other lights,

the torch lights, the first
things that caught my attention,

and I watched 'em, and they
started actually doing things.

Like, they would make a shape,
go back into the center,

come back out, go back
and make another shape,

come back out, in, out, in, out,

quicker, and
quicker, and quicker,

and quicker, and
quicker, and quicker,

and then the next thing I know,

there's another UFO
falling across the sky.

I don't know if the other
lights were still there.

It was just a
normal typical UFO.

It had portholes in it,
and lights coming out

from the portholes, I'm
pretty sure there was three,

and it spun through the sky,

but it only went from A to B.

It didn't go another way,
it only went A, B, A, B.

And sometimes as
it was doing that,

it was making like there
was four or five of them.

I think it was just
moving that quick,

you could see four or
five of them sometimes,

it'd just go,
[whooshing] like that.

- [Rick] We asked
Shaun if he ever saw

a UFO a second time.

- Nothing that
clear, so my mind,

I could be mistaken,
I'm not sure,

but one night in Mitcham I seen,

there was these lights almost,

these flashings in the
clouds almost straight over

the top of me, and it
was like a fission,

was just [whooshing].

And it sort of moved
slowly across the sky,

I followed it for
about two hours

before it got out of my
sight and out of my reach.

There's been a couple other
little red things I've seen,

and I've seen an orb in my room

with another guy
once, little orb.

But yeah, nothing
like that night.

And it changed my life forever.

It's ruled my life forever.

- [Rick] We asked Shaun
if he knew anyone else

who had similar experiences.

- Yeah, there's a few people
on the internet have put up,

and said they've
seen the same thing.

One guy was very cryptic, he
put up a picture and goes,

"Have a look at this."

And you had to look
really closely through it,

but it was the same sort of
thing, it was in the clouds,

and you can see
the outline of it.

So, yeah.

And I asked him for
more information,

he didn't say, and he
never got back to me.

Yeah, and there was
this one other one

that was just seen not long ago,

exactly the same thing,
but in the clouds again,

and you can just see
the outline of it.

They seem to use the
clouds to hide, I think.

I don't know.

There's something
going on in the clouds,

and it's probably a good
way to hide, you know?

Where they can
spin off so quick.

And in between things,
you wouldn't see 'em,

and then when they need to swap

they just have to
swap the clouds.

There was another one, too,
that was in the clouds, too,

someone photographed
from a plane.

It was the same thing as well,

but right there just
at the top of them.

So, I think it's been
around for 8,000 years

since the Mayans carved
out the replica of it

as far as I'm concerned.

So, yeah.

- [Rick] Deborah, 60 years old

from Sunbury, Victoria
describes a day out

with close family and friends,

when up in the sky
they spotted a UFO

that changed the course
of their lives forever.

- Okay, well, basically
we had family friends,

my mom and dad had some friends,

and we became really good
friends with them, too,

and we lived actually,
they lived on top of us

at the Carlton flats,
and we'd sort of

became really good friends.

And I was friends with
their eldest daughter,

she was about my age.

And anyway, mom and dad became
friends with her parents,

and we used to go over to
Brunswick where they lived.

They lived at the back

of an upholstery shop
in Melville Road.

And anyway, we'd go over there,

and the men would
have a few drinks,

and the ladies would get
together and chatter,

and the kids, we
all played together.

And anyway, this particular day,

we went over, it was probably
in the early afternoon,

two, three o'clock,
somewhere around there.

And my girlfriend, Karen,
the oldest daughter,

and myself were playing ball,
like tee-ball up against

the back of the
wall of the house.

And I was trying to
work out our ages,

I thought we were a
little bit younger,

but I think we must've
been about 12 or 13,

'cause my younger sister,
she's 10 years younger than me,

and she said that
she was very young

but she remembers it,
so that means then

I must have been
roughly about that age.

And anyway, we
were playing ball,

and tapping it up against
the back of the house

on the bricks, and it
was a beautiful blue sky,

not a cloud in the sky at all.

It was just clear, and it
was beautiful sunny day,

it wasn't real hot,
but it was just nice.

And we were out there, and
the ball sort of went up

against the wall, and then
it sort of flipped up high,

and we basically
went to catch it,

and when we went to catch it,

we noticed this
thing in the sky.

We sorta stopped and we
thought, what is that?

And we're looking at it,

and I remember my
first thought was,

is this a balloon or something?

And I'm looking at
it and I'm thinking,

no, that's much too high.

It was sorta like...

Where you would see an
aircraft in the distance,

and it was silver, and
I was thinking about it

a couple of days ago,
and I was thinking,

was it reflecting the sun
or anything like that?

But I don't remember any
shine, reflection off it.

So, I don't know what
time of day it was,

but that might've had
something to do with it,

but it did look silver.

And it wasn't like a balloon,

it was sort of more
oval, sorta oval-ish.

And we're sort of
watching this thing,

and the thing about it was,

while we stood
there looking at it,

really amused, was
because it was moving

in the most peculiar fashion.

It wasn't sorta
moving like a balloon,

floating or anything like that,

ore even slightly up,
or anything like that.

It was moving directly straight,

in straight angles, it
looked like it was going

really really fast, I mean,
I can't predict how fast,

but it looked like it was
going really really fast,

and it would just sort of,

zoom in a straight
line, and stop.

And that's what caught us, and
we're thinking, what is that?

And then next moment,
it'll stay like that

for a few seconds, and
next moment it'll zoom up

in a diagonal line, and
it'll do that for a bit,

and then it'll just stop,
and then it'll go down,

and sometimes it'll stop
longer than other times.

And we're watching this thing
and we're going, what is this?

What is it?

Where?

You know?

And after a while we thought,
let's go and get our parents,

they might know what it is.

So, we ran inside
really excited,

and I asked my mom
this the other day,

and I said, "Do you
remember our reaction?"

And she said, "Oh
yeah, you both came in

"really excited and yelling,

"'You gotta come out,
you gotta come out

"'and have a look at this thing,
we don't know what it is."

So, we basically went
outside with our parents

and our siblings, all
our brothers and sisters,

they all came out with
us, and our parents,

both lots of parents, we're
all looking at this thing,

oh, that's strange,
what is that?

What is it?

And we were just
watching it like that

for quite some time,
and then after a while

we couldn't make
our what it was.

It's definitely not a balloon,

and it was definitely
something really fast,

and something that
just could stop,

just abruptly, you know?

And yeah, and we
watched it for a while,

and after a while as
we were watching it,

it just sorta stopped,
and then all of a sudden

it just went, [blowing sharply]
and it actually went out

into the atmosphere,
and we could see it

getting smaller and
smaller and smaller,

until it just disappeared.

It was just amazing, you know?

And I always remember, like
when we left to go home

and we're in the car,
and Dad was driving,

and I always remember
thinking about it in the car,

and I remember saying to Dad,
"What do you think that was?

"What do you think it was, Dad?"

And I remember Dad saying to me,

"Oh, who knows, it might've
been a weather balloon,

"or something like that."

And I remember
sitting back thinking,

I didn't say anything,
but I remember thinking,

no, I don't think so.

It didn't move like
something like that,

but I don't think
he could explain it,

so he didn't know what to say.

But I've always
thought to myself,

no, that definitely
wasn't a weather balloon.

Just the way it looked, the
way it moved, the speed,

the way it took off into
as far as you could see

and you couldn't
see it any longer.

Like it went down
a pin prick size,

and then it just
disappeared, you know?

And it was a pure blue sky,
there was no clouds whatsoever.

And that's why I remember
seeing it so well,

and it stuck with
me all those years.

And I have asked my mom, she
sorta remembers bits of it,

but she just remembers seeing
something very strange,

but she can't remember exactly.

But she remembers
something very very strange

and we came in excited,
and she remembers that.

And also, I saw my
girlfriend, who I saw it with,

and I was talking
to her about it,

and she said to me, "Yeah, I
remember something about that.

"I remember it was
just very strange,

"but I can't remember
it in real good detail."

But I remember it
quite well in detail

because it's always
stuck with me

and I've always
thought about it,

so it's probably stayed
in my memory longer,

whereas some people probably
didn't think about it as much.

I actually, this is going
back a few years ago

when YouTube first started up,

I was thinking about
it at that time,

and I got on and
I searched UFOs,

and movements and
stuff like this.

And I remember
going through a few,

because there weren't as many
then as what there are now,

'cause I've tried to go
back on and have a look.

But anyway, at that
time I remember finding

a actual YouTube clip
somebody had taken

and it looked exactly the same,

and the way it was
moving, the shape of it,

the look of it,
and I'm thinking,

oh, I wish I would have
taken notice of the caption

and everything to sort
of be able to go back in,

but I've tried going back in

and there's just too
many in there now,

so, I haven't had much success.

from Geelong, Victoria,

a firm believer of
UFOs and aliens,

had his first experience
when he spotted

a red glowing UFO
in the mountains

outside his bedroom window.

After a 10 year gap,
he witnessed his
second UFO sighting,

this time described as blue
lights in the sky above.

- Well, I was probably around
14, 15, sitting at home,

watching TV with the family,

'cause we had the windows
open, we noticed this light

coming over the
hill, and I'm like,

that kinda looks
out of the ordinary,

'cause I kinda keep
track of all the planets

and the planes going around.

So, that really kinda
shouldn't be there.

So, it gets closer and kind
of fades out, you know?

So, I kind of run
out to the street,

Mom's like, "Don't go out there,

"what if it's a spaceship?
"What if you get taken away?"

You know, joking about it.

So, I run out to the middle
of the street, and...

The light fades away and
I'm looking around for it,

then I start to see this red
glow come over the street.

And this thing wasn't
really aerodynamic at all,

didn't have any
rotors, any engines,

but the thing that
stood out most for me,

was that when you're
looking at a brick wall

and you see the concrete
between the bricks,

I could see kinda like
that, but underneath.

It was like a red light coming
through panels underneath it.

And it just kind of, flew
over the neighborhood,

and took this weird maneuver
that a plane couldn't do,

helicopter wouldn't
do, and that was...

The closest thing I've seen.

I've seen other things, like
blue flashes in the sky,

and lights moving around
after blue flashes.

Came home one day after school,

'cause I went to school in
the middle of the country,

in the countryside, in
the country of Victoria.

Came home, walked
home from the bus,

down the two kilometer
long driveway,

and just heard this
really loud humming sound

that just shouldn't
have been there.

Really loud humming
sound, so I freaked out,

I run under the
trees and it stayed

for probably about 10 minutes,

just whatever this sound was.

And as soon as it left
I ran to the house,

I'm like, "Oi, Dad, something
weird happened outside."

And then he just kind
of brushed it off,

'cause he's from the
country, weird things happen,

you hear and see weird things.

Just kind of brushed it off.

So, I've seen things
here and there,

but seeing that, seeing
in between those panels,

whatever the hell that was,

over a suburban neighborhood
is just something

that I haven't really
heard of before,

before my account of it.

I definitely think there's more

to be seen out in the
country, definitely.

Because you don't have
the full light pollution

coming up from the cities,

and you can see more
stars and whatnot.

A lot of encounters
that I've heard about

come from the country
anyway, or most of them do.

'Cause I've had family tell
me about their encounters.

I had an auntie, she was
driving home one day.

This is way before I was born,
my dad told me about this

after a UFO was captured in
a photo, it was on the news,

and he just kinda turned around,

"Oh, your auntie got chased
home one day back in the '70s."

Like, "Chased home by a what?"

"Oh, she got chased home
by this glowing orb."

Probably about 10 ks and it just

followed her all the way home.

No.

The light through the
panels, that was in Geelong.

I saw a blue flash out
towards Barongarook,

out in the bush,
out towards forest.

The Otways area.

Saw a blue flash over Geelong
when I was around 17, 18,

almost looked exactly
the same as what I saw.

Actually, my dad was
with me in Barongarook,

'cause we just saw
this blue flash,

we were driving home
from meeting that he had.

Saw this blue flash and
we both kind of stopped

and looked like, and
to have it happen

there almost 10 years later,
and not see it any other time

is just kind of
strange, you know?

Yeah.

Yeah, I definitely do.

I went through a stage...

Where I wanted to do
what you're doing,

interview people and
get their stories

and document it, maybe
make a documentary,

but I haven't really
gotten around it it.

I kind of don't talk
about it with my friends,

not that they'd look down
on me or joke about it,

but my friends aren't
really the kind of people

to talk about these
kinds of things.

Definitely just tell
someone about it.

Don't be afraid
to talk about it.

If you're out at a
bar, or with friends,

and someone says, what's
your opinion on this?

Don't hold back,
definitely just go for it,

let it all out.

Just tell your story
and let it be known,

'cause if it's not known,
the truth may never be known.

It's definitely
something I've noticed

happen all over Australia.

I've read about things from
Northern Territory, WA.

I was visiting a friend up...

About an hour or two
from New South Wales,

and apparently that area

where she's from's
a definite hotspot

for this kinda thing.

And coming from
out in the country,

especially out in the Otways,
out towards the Colac area,

that's another hotspot, too.

- [Rick] We asked
Alister if he knew anyone

who had actually seen
an alien up close.

- I was with two friends,

chilling in the
middle of the night

at a school up the road from me,

and we saw the blue
flash in the sky

and we were just kinda like,

we're all looking up, just
having a couple of smokes,

couple of drinks, just
looking at the stars,

and then, bang, we're just
like, "What was that?"

And then we start seeing these
lights dancing in the sky,

stars don't normally
dance around like that.

And then maybe 20
minutes into that,

the wind gets really strong.

And the wind just
gets really strong,

the wind builds up, it seems
to be only be in our area

where we're sitting down
having a couple drinks

and a couple smokes.

And then my friend, she
was sitting next to me

and she freezes, and we
hear the leaves crunch

about 100, 200 meters
in front of us,

we hear the leaves crunch,
and we're kind of trying

to figure out what's going on.

She freezes and
stops and she's like,

"We have to go, like, now.

"We have to leave."

So, we run two blocks
down the street,

and I've pulled her aside,
going, "What's going on?

"What did you see?"

She's like, "I saw this tall
gray figure walking towards,"

so we needed to get
the hell out of there

in case it was
something that wanted

to hurt us in any sorta way.

Depends on what day you
catch me on, you know?

Sometimes I'll think
that it is scary,

because more technology than us,

could wipe us out or
something, scary like that,

or have the other
perspective where

we could contact them,
they could contact us.

Start kind of work in,
not really an alliance,

but technology, they
could teach us things,

we could somehow
teach them things.

Mickleham, Victoria,

a maths, science,
and physics teacher,

was in the car with
his wife on their way

to buy a new piano
when they looked up

and saw a gigantic
UFO on the horizon.

It shocked them enough for
him to pull the car over

and investigate further.

- I've actually had several...

Experiences with this.

One was in 2016.

So, going back about two years.

And that was in Craigieburn
Road West, to be exact.

Sorry, Craigieburn
Road East, to be exact.

And what we were doing was,

me and my wife were
going to buy a piano.

I'm a musician on the side.

I'm actually an architect,

but I do music on the side.

And so, I was quite
fond of this...

Keyboard, and that
was in Wollert,

which is east of Craigieburn.

So, we had to go along
Craigieburn Road,

and pick up the instrument,
and come back home.

Now, that was roughly
two years ago.

I don't remember the
month, to be honest,

but I do remember that
it was just about sunset.

So, the sun was going down.

The sun was going down.

The sun was going down,
and Craigieburn Road East

is a very straight
piece of road,

and it's very quiet, and you
can see for miles, you know?

And my wife was with me as well,

and I said, "Look, do
you notice that thing

"up on the horizon there
towards the airport?"

The airport is sort of west...

West due north.

And she said, "Well, I
could barely see it."

She kept saying, "Just
concentrate on the road."

Well, I couldn't, so
I had to pull over.

I pulled over and I
had a good look at it,

and if you remember
picture of Halley's Comet.

So, it was similar to that,
but it was much much larger.

I would say...

I would say about
six to eight times

the size of an airplane.

And this in the distance,
so it would've been

several kilometers away.

And it had this,
it was like a ball,

like a yellowy type ball,

with a thing at the
end of it, like a tail.

And I wanted to make sure
that it was nothing else,

so I stopped and had
a good look at it,

and it was hard to tell
if it was moving or not,

'cause there's no noise.

And then...

I noticed that it was moving,

but it was moving from
that distance, obviously,

it was moving very, very slowly,

almost still to most.

And then what we then
did was jump in the car,

and just went home,
went towards home,

but this time I got
my wife to drive.

Got my wife to drive so I could

keep an eye out on this thing.

And as we were driving,

and obviously the
sun's going down,

it's getting more
and more visible,

and I said, "Can
you slow down a bit?

"Can you slow down?"

And she did so, and then
this time it was moving

a lot faster, it was...

It wasn't in the same
place all the time.

Comets usually...

Very slow, and they're
millions of ks away,

but this thing was moving.

It had changed location,

it had changed location pretty
quickly, pretty quickly.

So, we kept proceeding,
we kept driving along

Craigieburn Road
East, and then...

We started to lose
where it was going.

Plus there was cars
behind us as well.

So, we couldn't
just stop, you know?

But this thing, it was like...

I'm a maths teacher, science
teacher, physics teacher, so.

- [Rick] His second encounter
was when he and a friend

saw a large UFO
flying above them,

ironically in a suburban street.

- The second one that I
saw was more mind-boggling.

I actually had a
friend in the car,

and he looked at it
and witnessed it,

and he said, "Mate,
what can that be?"

I said, "Look, I don't know."

But we're driving, it's
happened in Footscray, too,

one of the four
places, Footscray.

And what it was, is
it was an object.

It wasn't just an object
quite like the other one,

with the ball and the tail...

This was a disk with
lights around it,

but it was sort of...

It's hard to tell
'cause it was at night,

and it was, I'd say...

Nine, 10 at night, nine or 10.

So, this was a disk,

and it had flashing things
around it, flashing lights...

It looked to me like
something from movies.

And I just brushed
it off and said,

"It could be the Air Force,"

but then again, the
Air Force doesn't

do things like that, they don't.

They do have
advanced technology.

They've obviously really
done reverse engineered

the Roswell crash, I mean,
they've got incredible things,

but not like this,
hovering without a sound.

Along with the lights,
you could sort of,

because of the lighting in
Footscray, the street lamps,

you could make out windows.

I wouldn't know if
they're windows or not,

but from my perspective,

it looked like lights
around it, plus windows.

So, I don't know.

But that was low, that
was flying very low,

and it was almost hovering,

like absolutely nothing,
and it was huge.

I'm talking, it would
be half the size

of an oval, half the size.

Not quite the size of an oval,

but half to a third.

So, about that size,
and it was sort of

dark, metallic-y color.

And that was more bizarre.

And we actually followed
it with side streets.

And look, I don't take
drugs, I don't drink alcohol,

I've never touched the stuff.

I'm [mumbles] religious
man, obviously.

But what I saw that day was...

Different, was
really, really weird,

and I followed it
and followed it,

and then it just disappeared.

- [Rick] Adam, 33 years old

from Mill Park, Victoria
was spending the summer

at his grandmother's house

when a UFO landed
in their backyard,

paralyzing him stiff.

It has scarred him to this day,

and he seemed almost reluctant

to tell us about
it, out of fear.

- All right, well, my
incident basically occurred,

it was during the
summer of 1992,

and I was only a kid.

I was just eight years
old, just turned eight,

and I was actually at
my grandmother's place,

and I was there with my mother.

And I remember the dog barking,

it was barking profusely,

and my grandmother
requested that I go outside

and see what the
dog was barking at

and why it was so hysteric.

And I actually went
out to the backyard

to actually see if I
could keep the dog calm.

And lo and behold, I looked up,

and seen what the actual
dog was so pedantic about.

And as I've looked up,
there was a massive

saucer-shaped craft 10 meters
from the ground up in the air.

And it was completely stationary
though, it was rotating.

I remember that,
it was rotating,

and it was a very dark black,

though it had windows
on the top dome of it,

and if I had to
describe the black,

the shade or color
of black it was now,

I'd say Vantablack, it
was probably the most

black color I've seen.

And it seemed seamless, I
can articulate myself now,

because I've had many years
to actually think about

and dwell about what I'd seen,

but this craft was
completely silent.

And I remember when
I looked up at it,

I was actually
frightened and scared,

and I wanted to run inside,
and I tried running inside,

but I just couldn't move.

And I just remember
looking at this thing,

and I was actually trying
to actually work out

what this thing was, because
I was only eight years old,

so I was very stressed,
and I remember just

staring up at this thing,

and I really was just
fearful for my own safety,

and that of everyone
in the house.

And I wanted to run
inside, but for some reason

my body would not move,
and I've never felt

like that before
ever in my life.

That's the only one time,
that I just can't explain it,

it was just an inability
to actually move,

it was like I was paralyzed,

and I could only look
up at this thing.

And it just sat there, and it
was just completely silent,

and the dog kept barking
profusely and would not stop,

and then this probably went
on for a good 10 minutes.

By this stage I heard my
grandmother yelling out,

telling me to come inside.

The saucer-shaped craft
began moving off slowly,

and as it moved off slowly,

it was only when it was about

probably 30 meters away from me

that I was able to run inside.

Now, this was at night
time, this incident,

and when it started moving
off I was able to run,

and the first thing
I did was run inside,

and 'cause I was only a kid,
I hid under the kitchen table,

and I was in a very
distressed state,

and my grandmother asked
me, "What's wrong with you?"

And I tried to explain the
best I could at the time

what I had seen, and I remember
my mother didn't believe me,

but my grandmother did.

She actually took the
time out to listen,

and believe what I was saying,

because she grew up on
a farm in Diamond Creek,

and had heard similar
stories of things.

And I was actually surprised,

'cause I thought it
was my actual mother

that would believe, and
it would be the opposite,

but no, it turned out that
my grandmother believed

what I was saying, but
yeah, my mother didn't.

And yeah, then when I
was at primary school

I remember telling
my grade two teacher

about what I'd seen,
and that's where

I started wanting to learn more

about what I'd
actually witnessed,

because I remember
a lot of my...

The primary school
students and teacher

talked to me about UFOs, and
then I was like, oh, okay.

So, I started learning
more about UFOs,

and the possibility
of what I'd seen

could be extraterrestrial
in origin.

And it actually piqued my
interest in the science

and technology, and probably
from that day forward

that's when I endeavored
to actually learn more

about science and technology.

And it did change my
perspective on a lot of things,

because then I questioned,
what if that UFO I'd seen

was extraterrestrial in origin,

because of the fact
that there was no

visible propulsion
systems on it,

and it was completely silent,

couldn't fit the description

of anything known at
the time, the '90s,

in terms of military
aircraft, or, you know.

There's every possibility
that I was just

so ecstatic or
worked up in a frenzy

that maybe the fear,
it did paralyze me,

but it wasn't some type

of technological
intervention, though.

You know, I have read a lot
of case studies on UFOs,

and there's
similarities in people

that witness things similar
to what I witnessed,

and they say that they
couldn't move as well,

so, there's every chance
that it could've been

some type of
technological intervention

that stopped me from moving.

I can't be certain.

It may have been my own fear.

- [Rick] We asked him if he knew

anyone else that may have
had a similar experience.

- The only case that I can
think of that's similar

is probably the
Westall incident.

That comes to mind.

Even with the Frederick
Valentich case,

that was probably
one of the ones

that has stuck in my mind,

because of just the
overwhelming evidence,

and the way that went down,
and the Mehrabad Airport,

and even people
that've spoke of it,

I actually had the pleasure
of speaking to people

that actually worked at the
Mehrabad Airport that day,

it was just by coincidence
that I ran into them

during the course of my time.

And yeah, I think
there is a lot of truth

to whatever happened that day,

that something more did go down.

But, yeah.

- [Rick] And finally, we
asked him if what he saw

was definitely from
another world, or not.

- Yeah, I do feel that
the UFO that I had seen

with my own eyes to this
day very well could've been

extraterrestrial in origin.

Based on what I know
now and what I've read,

official documentation and
declassified documents,

that are official,
like things that are

widely available
on the internet,

and there's actual the
veracity of the sources

coming from declassified
documents from the Pentagon

that even they, there was
an actual concerted effort

to actually study UFO phenomena.

So, it's not like it's as
secretive as what it used to be,

there's actually some
declassified documents

of U.S. military tracking UFOs,

of objects that could
do inordinate speed,

so that we know now,
it's an actual fact.

So now, I think
there's a lot more

seriousness brought
to these matters.

So, the U.S.
government actually,

in the last few years under
the Trump administration

has declassified some documents

with the U.S. Air
Force's actual tracking

of inordinate objects that
can do phenomenal speeds,

and I think now
it's not a matter

of if there's extraterrestrial
life forms watching Earth,

is that the fact that we
just have to understand

that there is, and maybe
we have to not worry

about it so much, but just
accept that's how things are.

I think, yeah, the
research I'm talking about

is widely available,
it's been covered

by most of the media outlets,
including CNN, Fox News,

so, it's no longer
a conspiracy theory.

by the U.S. government
that this is

what the U.S. Air
Force has tracked,

and they've released
video footage,

I think it was last year,

they released video
footage of a craft

that two U.S.
Hornets were tracking

Trump administration

there's a lot more
honesty coming out,

in terms of these matters.

I think it's actually now
there's a paradigm shift

in people's thinking.

And I think governments
around the world

should be taking
xenosciences more seriously,

'cause I think
that's where we have

to shift our
thinking towards now.

that the aliens

treat human beings like animals,

and that in the end we are
all expendable to them.

I think that as great
as they sound like,

they're experimenters.

They sound like they
don't really give

too much of a crap

The shapes of the UFOs,
especially the first one

that I saw, and I found
it 23 years later,

I found the Mayans,
8,000 years ago,

carved out exactly
what I saw in rock.

It's called the Black
Pyramid of Ecuador.

It was found by Father
Crespi, I think, in 1984.

Yeah, he found it in
a cave, or something,

and it's like Mayan
stuff, but it was found

in a cave in Ecuador.

And it's an exact thing,

exact replica of what
I saw that night.

Yeah, and you put
black light on it,

it goes almost the exact
color of what I saw, too,

when you put the
black light on it.

So, it's a rock color,

but then as soon as you
put black light on it,

it goes just really
the complete color,

and the exact sorta tones
the color is what I saw, too.

wanna be ridiculed here.

Look, I don't
know, I don't know,

but I can't answer.

I don't want to...

Downplay any true stories that
may have happened to people

having be abducted by aliens.

I can't judge, I'm
not that person

who may have been abducted, so.

- I think it's
absolutely a possibility.

We've had some very
strange experiences

in our family that
we can't explain,

so I can absolutely understand

how that's a possibility
for people, I really do.

I don't know if that's
happened in our family,

we haven't explored that,
or done any regressions,

or looked into it.

It wouldn't surprise me.

My children have
had experiences.

Yeah, aunties and uncles.

Seems to be on both
sides of my family.

So, yeah, we've always
had some sort of unusual.

I mean, there's been
many, many sightings,

not just myself, cousins,
aunties, uncles, you know?

Had a lot, and a lot of the
family have seen things.

- There are, after
sort of experiencing

this sort of thing,
it's a long shot,

but I'm open-minded about it,

and yeah, it could happen.

There are things
that have happened

around the planet that
don't have an explanation,

and people's recollection,
and things disappearing

and reappearing, and people
disappearing without a trace.

Without a trace, [snaps]
and they're gone.

So, who knows?

I'm open-minded about it.

- I've got no idea, really,
about that sort of thing.

Even my thing, if anybody
can explain what it was,

that'd be great, but I can't...

See how anybody can give me any
answer about that, you know?

Because I've never seen
or known of anything

that moves like that.

But yeah, I mean, when
you think about it,

we're only one
planet in the whole

forever and ever and ever.

read the other day

that they found this
other solar system,

or galaxy, or something.

I read that only
just a few days ago,

and they found
the first planets,

or something, with that,
and I'm thinking to myself,

well, that's only
that, you know?

It keeps going on and on and on,

and it doesn't end,
does it, supposedly?

Yeah, so.

- I'm strong believer in that.

- I haven't had it
happen to myself,

but I've watched a
lot of documentaries,

read a lot of books.

I started reading
books about mysteries,

and ghosts, and aliens,
about middle primary school,

which was when that
news story broke out

that I told you about earlier.

Yeah, so, I started
reading all these books,

so, I've read about a
lot of alien abductions,

and those kind of
close encounters,

read about a lot of them.

So, they've kind
of stayed with me.

- It's hard to say,
it's hard to say.

But I don't discount that.

I do believe people
have been abducted.

I do believe they've
been surgically
implanted with things.

I do believe that some are
mischievous, and some are good.

I believe in all that, but...

I just think that it's us here,

living in this
other realm, well,

living in this parallel, yeah.

Parallel world with other
beings, so to speak.

People have talked about
seeing shadow people, djinns.

- No, because I believe
in the zoo hypothesis.

That's something that
I strongly believe in,

and I don't believe
in alien abduction.

Though, I'm always
open to the possibility

for facts to present themselves,

'cause I'm more of a
person that goes off

what facts, what
presents themselves.

For me, all the
research I've done,

there's no strong evidence
to actually indicate

beyond a reasonable doubt

that alien abductions
have taken place.

believe me or not.

I'm telling you the truth, you
can believe me, I don't care.

Doesn't worry me anymore.

Gotten over that.

- Look, I've spoken to...

Several friends how also
have their own stories.

One was in Bali, another friend
who lives in the mountains,

and he says he often sees lights

in the sky that suggest UFOs.

I think like the growing
majority of people, it's...

It's wrong to believe that
we're the only species

in this planet,
in this universe,

so there may be a small chance
of seeing other species,

and their means of transport,

intercepting our skies.

So, that's how I see it.

I don't know whether
they're meant to be seen,

maybe there's some
sort of accident,

and when they're
seen, I don't know.

Look, I've got my story,
I 70% believe myself,

and 30% I have a suspicion

whether it could've
been something else.

But it doesn't feel like
it was something else,

it feels like it was
what I said it was.

Yeah.

- I definitely think
something's happening,

I definitely think there is a
level of visitation going on.

I don't know how
much of it is us,

as in our potentially
government or military-made,

but I know there'd
be a good percentage

that isn't from here.

I mean, what I saw,
it changes you,

it really changes you,
you can't look at things

the same way anymore, and the
one thing that surprises you,

is that you look at people,

and you're telling your story,

and you're so excited, this
happened, and blah, blah, blah,

but people look at you
sort of like, really?

Are you, you know?

You've known them all your life,

and all of a sudden
they're questioning

could that have happened?

And it doesn't occur to you
that people might think,

ah, could that really be true?

Or, could that really happen?

Because it's just so
profound when it does,

you can't think
it's anything else.

- Not really, no.

that should be looked down on,

or feared, it
should be something

that's taken seriously, and

and not just passed
off as a joke,
