almost like we're chasing
them through the room.

What was that?

That was like a hitting sound.
Did you hear that?

Yeah.

Back there.

-That was here.
-Yeah.

The footsteps, here.

74 minutes,

that's what I was left with.

Over the last 25 years,
I've engaged

in over 500 paranormal
investigations

in five different countries,
on three different continents,

in which I've spent
over 3,000 hours in the dark

trying to document
paranormal activity.

And in the end, I was left
with 74 minutes of footage

that I could not explain.

But the answers
that I sought out

that took me on this
incredible journey,

I did find in those 74 minutes,

I did.

And it was incredibly
important to me

that I found those answers.

And now that I found them,

I'm going to share
the most compelling

pieces of evidence
with all of you.

But as far as how did I
end up on this journey,

you know, when I think
back to my childhood,

I was a-- a normal kid
like anybody else.

I wanted to be
a baseball player.

My dreams were to
be a major leaguer.

I mean, that was it.
The big leagues, man.

But it's funny, you know, when
I look at this picture here,

of me on the baseball team,

you know,
I looked like, you know,

such a-- a-- a normal kid,
and I suppose I was.

But when I was done with
school or done with practice,

I would go home

to the most bizarre events
and would just experience

things that completely
blew my belief system apart.

Um, until I moved into a haunted
house at the age of 12 in Iowa,

my family had never
even discussed

ghosts or anything like that.

But yeah, moved into
this incredibly haunted house.

It was a negative haunting.

It had a profound effect on me.

And in the beginning,
I didn't even know

I was becoming
a paranormal investigator.

I was just trying
to document things

so I could share them with my
friends and with my girlfriend

so she didn't think I was crazy.

But the paranormal field
is weird.

For every answer you get,

there's, like,
two more questions.

And the more places that I went,

the more I would see

that almost each
haunting was different.

Different things would happen.

But yet I would hear people,

you know, would openly,
you know, laugh and, you know--

and say, "Oh, God, you believe
in ghosts," you know?

And they'd give me
a hard time and--

And then some people
absolutely believe.

So I was just on this journey

to find out the truth for me.

And through a series of very

uh, weird zigs and zags,

I wound up actually
doing this professionally.

If you follow my career,

first off, thank you
for doing so.

Uh, you know that I've been
on Paranormal State,

I've been on, um, several shows.

The Ghost Prophecies, Ghosted,

I've made a number
of documentaries.

American Ghost Hunter,

Terror Normal, A Blood Red Sky,
and most recently,

the Sir Nofaceseries,
but this film specifically

is important to me

because I don't think
anybody has done it yet.

I don't think any
paranormal investigator has

openly put out
all of his evidence.

And it's important
for me to do that,

not because I'm some
sort of, you know,

paranormal salesman,
because I'm not.

Um, I'm not attempting
to sell you, the viewer,

on the fact
that ghosts are real.

Quite the opposite,

I'm showing you
why I believe they're real.

That's what's important to me.

And my hope is that you're
inspired to go find out

your own answers,

that you would watch this
and go, "You know what?

I really want to know what it's
like to experience this stuff."

Um, now, I realize there's going
to be people that watch this

that are highly skeptical, too.

And if your approach
from the beginning is,

"Oh, he's just faking it,"

well, listen,
we can fake anything, right?

I mean, like
in today's world with CGI,

anything can be faked.

So, all I can do
is tell you the truth,

which is that everything you're
going to see is authentic.

It's all real.

We tried to debunk
all of it and couldn't.

Um, does that mean that

we got it right on every
single piece of footage?

I would like to believe so.

But look, part of investigating
is getting things wrong and--

and thinking you have
something figured out,

and then, you know,
later on you realize,

"Oh, no, it wasn't that."

Or finding an answer
to something later on,

which-- it happens both ways.

So, I'm really excited
for you guys to see this--

which I'm going to present
it in three chapters,

the first being
audible evidence,

the second chapter being
photographic evidence,

and the third chapter
being visual evidence.

And like with any good film,

as it moves along,

it will become more
and more compelling.

Let's do this.

When it comes
to audible evidence,

what I'm referring to
are things that we can hear,

such as EVPs
or Disembodied Voices,

or even knocks and bangs
that don't make sense.

Which this first example that
I'm going to share with you

took place at the five-story,
180,000-square-foot

former tuberculosis hospital
known as Waverly Hills.

What you're about to hear was
recorded during the overnight,

the second night
of our investigation,

in which we can
absolutely confirm

nobody was in the building
when the following was recorded.

The following
footage was filmed

at the Villisca Axe
Murder House,

which is known
for being the site

of a mysterious unsolved murder

in which the killer

was somehow able
to strike down six children

and two adults
without waking each victim

during the bloody attack.

In this clip,
after hours of silence,

Investigator Ryan Buell and I
decided to begin provoking,

which I moved into the attic,

as it's believed
to be the location

in which the axe murderer
chose to hide

as the family went to sleep.

And as you'll see,

it didn't take long
to get a response

as three loud striking
sounds circled me.

All right, so, we've separated.

I'm now in the children's room,

and Chad's in the attic.

-Holy shit.
-I heard that.

That's the shit
I'm talking about.

Holy shit.

Holy shit.

That's the shit
I'm talking about.

There's all kinds of sounds
in the room

that seem to be almost
circulating around me.

In this footage,

after our initial walk-through
of Waverly Hills,

my friend Adrian and I were left
completely alone to explore,

only to discover hours later

that we were somehow locked
inside this terrifying location.

Immediately after
calling the owner,

Tina, who was 30 minutes away,

the following occurred.

-See that?
-Wow.

That was a legit orb.
That was a real orb.

Can you--
can you pass by again?

Well, in this shot,
you can hear me tell Adrian,

"That was a real orb."

And the reason I did is

because
for the first time in my life,

I saw an orb with my own eyes.

Once we got out of there,
we couldn't wait to rewind

the footage to check it out.

But what truly
chilled me to the bone

was the EVP that we found
after analyzing this footage.

That was a legit orb.

That was a real orb.

It's also important to
note that both myself and Adrian

do not have an accent
as we're from Los Angeles.

While this EVP,
which says "I hear you,"

has a noticeable Southern drawl.

That was a legit orb.

That was a real orb.

Believed to be haunted
by the Sauk Indians

who lost their lives
protecting Chief Black Hawk

during his final stand
in Davenport, Iowa,

this footage, which was filmed

at the Davenport Bag
and Paper Company building,

documents some of the most
responsive paranormal activity

that I've ever experienced.

You have to hit something hard.

See, if that's you, we still
can't distinguish between that.

I know that was loud,
but you have to even be louder.

Holy shit. That was louder.
Do you think that was louder?

Dude, I'm getting freaked.

Did you hear that?
That was louder.

-Yeah.
-Okay.

I just asked you

I would say it's overly

because it's been twice now

The first time, it was within
a three-second period,

two-second period,
something went bang.

That time I didn't count,

but it seemed like
somewhere within a four

or five, ten, I don't know,

second period, something...

Over the course
of my entire career,

this footage, which was
captured at Waverly Hills,

represents the only time

that I've ever experienced
the following phenomena,

which, as you'll see,

what we've come to reference
as the Whistler,

terrified everyone involved
with this investigation.

This is the floor that all--

Everything, the wood and stuff
happened last night. This is--

This floor is out of control.

-What was that?
-Did you just whistle?

It was a whistling.

-You didn't whistle?
-Did anybody whistle?

You swear to God,

It couldn't have been
more than 15 feet away.

From where we were at,
it was this-- I mean,

you-- you could distinguish it
as a human voice whistling.

Um, I can't whistle,
but, I mean, it was a...

Exactly in perfect pitch.

And I mean,
it was unmistakable.

Being a-- being a musician and
just knowing, you just-- how,

you know, when--
when notes have impact,

they have impact and when
they don't, they don't.

And I'll tell you what,
I could smell the sarcasm

and almost just kind of the--

It was like something
snickering at-- at us.

And I mean, I'm not going
to sit here and say that,

you know, something
is what it is when it isn't.

I mean, I'll call
a spade a spade

and I'll tell you what,
that was a-- that was a spade.

I mean, that was a whistle, that
was a--

Yeah.

Dude, are you kidding me?

It's okay.

Just keep listening.

I'm not sure
if you just heard that,

but during the editing
process of this film,

I noticed what I believe
to be a new EVP.

Lewis, who was
clearly shaken, asked...

Immediately after,
you hear a voice say,

"It's okay"
from a higher pitched tone

in a mocking way.

Dude, are you kidding me?

The voice is clearly
not from one of us,

as we only have one
female in the group.

The rest of the crew consists
of men with deep voices.

In addition, the context
doesn't make sense,

as everyone is clearly unnerved
by the mysterious whistling.

So nobody would say, "It's okay"
in a snickering way to Lewis,

which, by the way,
matches how Greg described

the tone of the whistle.

I could smell the sarcasm
and almost just kind of the--

It was like something
snickering at-- at us.

Dude, are you kidding me?

Just keep listening.

I mean, everybody heard
that whistle, right?

Yeah, I heard it.
It was-- it was--

It was right where you guys
were just looking there.

On a few
occasions in my career,

I've experienced an
immense amount of activity

in a short amount of time.

In the footage
you're about to see,

that is exactly what happened
at Chillingham Castle,

as six unexplainable events
occur within a 15-minute window.

-Isn't this right next to that?
-Yeah.

-Yeah.
-So, it's--

When you go up a few stairs
over that way

through the great hall--

-What was that?
-Just so you know,

it's extremely common
to check with the film crew

for confirmation as to what
you may have heard or saw,

as they're not only another
set of eyes and ears,

they're a better set
of eyes and ears

due to the cameras
and audio gear.

That's exactly what happens here

as Joey hears
a disembodied breath

and asks our camera operator,
"What was that?"

In which he lets Joey know,
"I heard it, definitely."

... few stairs over that way
through the great hall...

What was that?

It's all gonna make
sense, dude,

after it comes out.

He's not there.

In this
sequence of events,

I love Mary Beth's expression,

as an addition to looking to see
what door's opening,

knowing that she is
the only girl in the room,

she also looks directly
to our camera operator

for confirmation that he also
heard the disembodied voice,

which sounds as though
it came from a young girl

with a British accent.

There's no other door.

Was it that door opening?

-That's the only door.
-That's the only door?

Yeah, there's
not one to the outside.

-Oh. So it was that door?
-Yeah.

Hmm.

Hmm.

Keep getting these sounds,
like deep breathing sounds

and, like, these
sounds on the pew

like he's sitting next to me.

In this capture,
if you listen closely,

you'll hear a second voice
whisper something

directly over my voice,

which is great as it shows

that a second entity
is speaking in the room

that has to be very close to me,

as my handheld camera
recorded the whisper.

It's fucking...

It's fucking...

Staying with Chillingham Castle,
later on that night,

as you'll see
in the following footage,

out of the thin air above us,

it suddenly sounded
like something massive

was being drug around
by some unseen force.

As strange as that sounds.

What was that?
It's up there.

What was that?

It was definitely
from higher.

-Higher. Higher.
-Like a higher sound.

It wasn't
from ground floor or--

It sounded like if someone
was on the ground floor

but it came from the air.
I mean, it was...

-It came from above.
-Yeah.

Yeah, it came from above,

-Definitely came from above.
-Came from above.

It was loud enough it stopped
all of us in our tracks.

We're just like,

-"What is that?"
-What's...

If you've watched
Paranormal State,

you saw the first part
of this footage,

which is the door
moving on its own.

But for some reason,

the network didn't
use what followed,

which is the sound
of some sort of creature

scurrying into the bathroom.

Check this out.

Whoa, was that you?

-I don't know.
-Okay.

-It sounded like a knocking.
-I might have pushed against it.

It's important to note
that there were no animals

in the bedroom or the bathroom,

nor were there any rat holes
or pathways into the walls,

as we checked for both.

Again, I've just never
experienced anything like this.

Oh, no, what was that?

-Uh, like that, "Psst"?
-Was that-- Yeah.

That was behind me.

The following
evidence was captured

during ourGhost Prophecy
special for A&E,

in which my team and I chose to
challenge the legend of Room 18

at the St. James Hotel
in Cimarron, New Mexico.

Legend states that anyone
who should spend the night

in Room 18 would be killed
by the ghost of TJ Wright

shortly after checking out.

While TJ didn't kill me,

he definitely made me
uncomfortable.

Check this out.

I am now

padlocked inside of Room 18.

Let's you and I get one thing
straight here right away.

If somehow

you magically have the power

to take my life

a week from now,
a month from now,

six months from now,

you had better be prepared
for me to hunt you down

in the afterlife
like a rabid fucking animal.

There is an ungodly feeling
I've ever felt of that,

like, presence feeling.

I just had...

Wow, I just had

two huge footsteps.

I'm certain my camera picked
that up right in front of me.

I do feel like
something is in here.

What the fuck?

I was fine until I got there

and when I could hear them
locking the door,

that sucked, man,
that's such a bad feeling.

It is like--

Because I just realized
there's no quick exit.

Here is a little--
This is how I started out.

And then these are the first
set of footsteps that I heard.

The second one.

-Those are right behind me.
-I just had...

Wow, I just had
two huge footsteps.

Now this got really scary.

A series of knocks started
from the wall behind me

and started moving
closer towards me.

I do feel like
something is in here.

-Wild.
-What the fuck!

So, again,
about a minute after that...

That was freaky.

What the fuck is that?

Oh, shit.

I was in there for an hour.
You know, it could be anything.

If it was a heating duct
or something like that,

-I would have heard it.
-Yeah.

And then I told Thomas
how I felt.

Thomas Wright.

Here's a shot of jack
I'm taking in my new room.

"In my new room!"

It was horrible.

Similar to our
Chillingham experience

in which countless
unexplained events

occurred in a short
window of time,

as you'll see in this clip,

we also experienced the same
type of eruption of activity

at Waverly Hills,

as the final 30 minutes
of our second investigation

was truly fascinating.

Right there.

Is someone there?

Right there.

It sounded like somebody
was dead sprinting towards us.

Very loud.

Right there.

Is someone there?

When something runs at you,

I think that's a "Get out."

A scare tactic. "Get out.
I'm running at you."

And at that point, man,
my adrenaline was just flying,

and right now, thinking
about it, man, I'm...

-Something ran. It was running.
-Something came at us.

-And it was real close.
-Yeah.

Wait a minute.
Did you guys just hear that?

That, "Ha..."

Holy shit.

Wait a minute.
Did you guys just hear that?

We were in there for
not even ten, 15 minutes

before we start hearing,

you know, noises coming
from all over the place.

I mean, you could hear like,

you know, what it sounded
like, um, you know,

a couple of women in high heels
walking down the hallway.

We can hear footsteps
all around us,

in front of us,
to the side of us,

each side of us, behind us.

Joe, Lewis and Greg
have now left.

Um, just too scared
from some of these sounds.

It sounds like people are
running down the hallway,

so they have left, uh,
the building, so...

When it's time to give,
it's time-- it's time to give.

This place is incredibly haunted

and there's nothing I can do
that's going to change that.

My God, man,
I'm just ready to go.

I can hear you.

Wow.

Something was there, talking--
talking, communicating with me.

Something
that I-- I don't understand.

I don't know what--
what it is, which I'm--

I'm assuming it's-- it's ghosts.

With the advancement
of commercial level

handheld HD cameras,

still photography is slowly
but surely becoming

a thing of the past in regard
to paranormal investigating.

But having said that,
I do have a few examples

of compelling photographic
evidence to share with you.

Known as one of the most
haunted locations in the world,

I'm very fortunate to live only
20 minutes away from Long Beach,

California's Queen Mary Hotel,

which I have investigated
19 times.

But oddly enough,

the most compelling evidence

that I've ever captured there

came after a fruitless
investigation,

which I explain in
the following sequence.

Well, I noticed
a mural behind the bar,

and I really like this mural.

So, I had put my camera on
a really, um-- a high shutter

speed,
which I like to shoot with

because it kind of freeze
frames people's actions

when you take a shot.

So, I was focusing on the back
of the mural and I popped off

um, nine photos in a-- about
two and a half seconds.

Well, right in the middle,

photos number four and five
came back.

And as you can see right now,

um, there's a woman
in both photos

or what appears to be
a woman in both photos.

Uh, the dress that she was
wearing was completely unique

of anybody that we saw
in the room that night.

Um, also, if you look at the
location that she's standing,

she moves about two feet or so

and this is in a fraction
of a second.

It was packed that night.

Nobody could have
sprinted across.

Uh, what's really interesting is

every other person
that you see is--

- you see in frame,
there's mass to them.

You know, you can't
see through them.

And what's great about the photo

is there's somebody really
close, which is Adrian's friend,

Adrian's on the right side,
as you can see.

You could see the bartender
in the back.

You could see the girl
at the table behind us.

Both these photos are
first generation photos.

I have sent them
to photo experts.

There's been no Photoshopping
done to them.

This is, you know,
what you see is what it is.

But what's even more bizarre
is after showing these photos

at a presentation event
while on tour in 2014,

an attendee of mine pointed out
that as the unexplained woman

in the photo approaches
Adrian's friend to the left,

you can see her skull,

which, after re-examining
the photo,

I was shocked to learn
that my attendee was right,

as I had never
noticed this before.

In fact, if you
change the colour profile,

you can clearly see her skull,
which is a bit terrifying,

because I don't even
have a theory

as to why
this would be the case.

One of the most famous
ghosts of Waverly Hills

is known as Big Black,

which is a ten- to 12-foot
shadow person

that literally thousands
of people have claimed to see.

But as you'll see
in the following footage,

I think I've captured
a photo of Big Black.

Check this out.

So I was walking around,
taking photos of Waverly Hills.

So, the building itself
is absolutely incredible.

I was out in the back of
Waverly Hills shooting up at it.

And, uh, you know,
outta the corner of my eye,

I thought I saw something.

So, once I took
the photos off the camera

and dropped into the computer,
there it was.

I mean, it just stood out,
as clear as can be.

It appears as though
some kind of figure

is leaning over the fourth floor
balcony and looking down.

And as you can see,

by changing the colour profile,

you can make out even
more detail of this entity.

But what's even more
compelling to me

is that when you use
the embossing filter,

which shows the depth
of items in the picture,

you can actually see
the face protruding,

which I believe this
demonstrates what I saw,

which is Big Black looking down.

One of the most
haunted locations

in Pasadena, California,
is Suicide Bridge,

which after visiting the bridge

countless times without
experiencing any activity,

I finally experienced
something very bizarre,

which I documented
in the following video.

I want to share two photos with
you that I took back in 2002

at a location known
as Suicide Bridge.

Now, Suicide Bridge is actually
the Colorado Street Bridge

in Pasadena, California,

which it's known
as Suicide Bridge,

because over 100 people

have committed suicide
off the bridge.

Now, what's really interesting
is there's a public park

below the bridge.

So, anybody can go there at any
time they want,

day or night.

Now, there's all kinds
of activity reported out there.

But the primary story, when
it comes to actual sightings,

people claim to see a tall
and a short shadow person

together all the time.

And this is from a real story
where a mother

actually held her five-year-old
son in her arms

and jumped to her death.

Now, the first two times
I went there, nothing happened.

I spent four to five hours
both times.

And I mean, nothing happened.

The third time I went back,

I talked Laura
into going with me,

which I'm not sure
how I did that

because she was quickly bored.

Uh, nothing was going on.

We were there about three hours

and I was getting
ready to leave.

I had to go to
the bathroom, though,

so I meandered my way
south of the bridge,

walked a little bit to find
an area to go to the bathroom.

While I'm going to the bathroom,

I get this overwhelming,
creepy feeling.

It's the feeling
all investigators talk about.

You just feel like
somebody is there.

So, I grabbed my camera
with my right arm,

kind of flip the lens
over my shoulder

and I take this photo,

which I was floored
with what I saw.

Do you guys see two figures?

My first thought,
obviously, is that

this could be visual matrixing.

I could be just
finding a pattern.

But to me,

this looks like
an adult and a child.

So, I'm fascinated
by this photo.

I'm really anxious
to show it to Laura,

in which I come
around the corner

and Laura is standing
with the camera above her head,

filming up at the bridge.

And I'm like, "Hey, what's up?
What are you doing?"

She goes, "I don't know,
I just got

this weird feeling
right now, Chad."

And I'm like, "Physically?"

And she's like, "Yes, I have
a weird physical feeling

plus something told me
to just film the bridge."

So, because Laura is
so freaking skeptical,

I decided to take some photos
of her while this is going on.

And this is the first photo
that I took of her here.

Look at this.

Now, I have no clue what
this is flying around her.

You know, I don't-- I-- I--

You can hear it
in my stuttering.

I'm still confused
when I look at this photo.

I have no idea what this is.

I have no idea what it is.

But I do find it
very interesting

that right about
the same exact time

that I had my
bizarre experience,

and took the photo
over my shoulder,

Laura was also having
a weird experience

in which I took
this photo of her.

The timing was really weird.

During my first ever trip
to the Waverly Hills Sanatorium,

I was picked up
by Charlie Mattingly,

who co-owns the structure
with his wife, Tina.

During our drive to Waverly,

I asked Charlie
if he's ever experienced

anything paranormal,

in which he said the only thing
he's ever witnessed

were what he described as
tiny red, glowing lights

that consistently flew down
the corridors of Waverly Hills.

Well, Charlie wasn't lying
because I saw his red lights.

But to be honest, I could never
get a straight on look at them.

They were always just
out of the corner of my eye,

or I would see them
really quickly

before they would fly
into a wall and disappear.

With this being the case, over
the course of two full nights,

I only focused on still
photography in which I took over

12,000 photos with the highest
shutter speed that I could,

which thankfully,
the effort was rewarded

with the following photos.

The following video was
fairly self-explanatory,

as during our trip
to the Axe Murder House

for the filming
ofAmerican Ghost Hunter,

my good friend
Johnny Houser asked

if he could take some photos
of Ryan Buell and I,

in which this was the result.

I took three shots,
just one right after the other.

The last one turned
out perfectly fine.

Uh, the two before were
hanging-- had-- look like a--

It's almost a blur
or a white mist

right in front of, uh,
you and Chad.

I would like
to also point out

that while camera glitches
do happen,

which can produce artefacts,
these glitches are massive.

And there's two of them,

which occurred right after
a perfect photo was taken.

This just doesn't
make any sense.

I have no reasonable
explanation for this.

Were you fidgeting
with the lighting

or the-- the flash or anything?

-I didn't adjust a thing. Um--
-Really?

Just pushed the button
three times and that was it.

When you were taking
photos of people here

around us, Chad.

my family's story

and our 20-year battle
with a negative haunting,

But if you do know
my family's story,

you'll understand
why it's still hard

for me to share these photos.

Having said that,

here's two photos
from my family's haunting

that still give me
the chills today.

The first photo
is one of a baby's crib,

which, if you look
at the crib's rails,

you can see that it was
rocking of its own accord

as its not level with the floor.

It did this often, which
we still have no idea why.

This second photo

was taken during one of my
mother's demonic attacks

in which she would be hit,

scratched, pinched,

and would have her hair pulled
by an unseen force

which is being demonstrated
in this photo.

As you can see,
a lot of her hair

being pulled up
and away from her body

again, by an unseen force.

Keep in mind
that both of these photos

were taken during
the three-day investigation

conducted by Ed and Lorraine
Warren's discovery team,

who witnessed several of these
attacks for themselves.

In fact, after finishing
their research,

their official
written conclusion

stated that my family was
suffering from a devil strength,

diabolical, demonic infestation.

I only mention this to you
as it may make this next photo

make more sense.

In 1994,

the co-op grain bin next to my
home in Persia had exploded,

in which my father
took one photo of the fire,

as that's all his disposable
35-millimeter camera had left.

And this, my friends,
is the photo.

Can you tell me what you see?

Because what I see
is a highly detailed,

demonic face from a side profile

with the goat horns
protruding back.

Now, admittedly,

I'm someone who would typically
write these things off

as matrixing or pareidolia,

which is when the mind
identifies recognizable shapes

out of random visuals,

such as seeing an elephant
or Jesus in the clouds,

or a scary face
in the mountainside,

or in some cases,

people even see themselves
within the visual chaos

math of random visual patterns.

But as much as I want
to write this photo off

as mere matrixing,

there's still that percentage

of me that can't let it go.

As given my mother's
history with the demonic

and the fact that
my Persia home sits

right in the middle of one
of the most haunted regions

in the United States.

I have to ask myself,

"Is this really
just pareidolia?"

I don't know, perhaps it is.

But I still felt it was worth
sharing with all of you.

While holding a fanfare event
at the Thomas House in 2019,

I was told that there was
a church on the property

that was now open
to investigations.

Although, I never made it
to the church

the first night of the event,

after many of
my attendees told me

that they had experienced
intense activity there,

I went to the church
on the second night

with 18 attendees with me,

and what we experienced
was truly shocking,

as we all witnessed
multiple objects

being thrown of their
own accord, from glasses,

to shoes, to batteries.

Just before myself
and two of my friends

noticed a large black figure
at the back of the room,

which we followed
to an adjacent room.

After things had calmed down,

we turned the lights
on in the church

and asked everybody to step out.

While that happened,
my friend Justin Ross

took the following two photos.

In the first photo,

you can see that
there's nothing standing

against the back wall
of the church.

But in the second photo,

the same massive dark
figure that I saw earlier

was captured on film.

Even today,
when I look at this picture,

it gives me the chills.

When it comes to visual
paranormal evidence,

which I'm referencing bizarre,

unexplained or mysterious
events we can see,

nothing compares
to video footage,

as it's the closest
the documentarian

can bring the viewer
to the experience

without them actually
being in the room.

For this reason,
the following footage

has had a truly profound
effect on my beliefs.

During the glove episode
ofParanormal State,

an unexplained thermal handprint
suddenly appeared on the wall

next to
Michelle Belanger's Head.

But in the following footage,

for the first time ever,

you're going to see
my camera angle,

which proves that the handprint
was truly paranormal.

What you're seeing on the right
is my camera angle,

while Ryan Buell is using
the thermal camera on the left.

Now, when this clip begins,

you'll see the cameraman
walk past Michelle

to stage at the end of the room.

Notice that Michelle
is facing forward

as she rubs her wrist briefly

before lowering her
hands for a few seconds,

just before she decides
to move down the wall

to inspect the closet
she noticed.

Now, Michelle does
touch the wall here,

but because of my angle,

you can see that her
touch is down the wall

next to the closet,

which is nowhere close to where

the unexplained
handprint appears.

That is the world's
shallowest closet.

-Oh, yeah?

Well, 'cause I opened it going,

"It's gotta open on to
that other room."

That is pretty shallow.

What the hell do you
put in there?

So, after making
a few comments

about the closet being shallow

as it's only a foot or so deep,

she returns to her original spot

in which once again
you can see that

she places both of her hands

against the wall,
where they will remain.

Come on, are there
any spirits here?

Anyone who wants to communicate?

Anyone frightened
of our presence?

Anyone angry that we're here?

If you look right here,

the handprint
is already appearing,

which makes no sense,

as my camera angle proves

that nobody has touched
the wall there.

What's the ten-year-old
girl's name?

-Maria.

Are you trying

Michelle, did you put
your hand on the wall

right behind you?

Like, right to your
right shoulder.

This is a handprint right there.

Well, as you can see,

there's a lot of issues
with this handprint,

as it's not only much
larger than any handprint

Michelle could have made,

but it looks more
like a hand stamp

as it's all nearly one colour,

which means it's all
nearly one temperature.

But the most important
aspect of this handprint

is that the thumb
is facing inward,

which means that if Michelle
would have touched the wall,

she would have had
to twist her entire torso,

which, again,
as my footage proves,

she never does.

The only other person that
could have touched the wall

is the cameraman.

And as you saw at
the beginning of the clip,

he walked right past Michelle.

-Come closer, Michelle.
-There it is.

-That was...
-You didn't put your--

She can't. No, dude.
Look where she's standing.

She was standing there
the whole time she was here.

You sure, Michelle?

Look, even if
she went like this--

I hopped over,
I checked the closet.

Although I can't attest

to what was creating
the handprint,

it was believed that
the deceased grandfather,

who was a coal miner,

was actively haunting
only the females in the house,

as he was said
to be extremely sexist,

which is why Michelle
began provoking him.

So, could this mean
that the grandfather

is responding to
Michelle's provocation

by letting her know that
he's face to face with her?

Well, the truth is that
none of us know for sure.

But what I can tell you
is that this handprint

should not be here.

The following footage was
filmed at the Stanley Hotel,

which is famous because Stephen
King, while staying in Room 217,

had a paranormal experience

that would inspire King
to writeThe Shining.

But in relation to
the following footage,

what's important is that
the Stanley Hotel

is said to be haunted by
the owner, F.O. Stanley,

who, after being diagnosed
with tuberculosis,

built the hotel

so he could live a life
where he can breathe

the cool mountain air
of Colorado.

While there are
countless legends

associated with the ghost
of F.O. Stanley,

after speaking with the manager
and a bartender,

they both told me
that should I cross paths

with the ghost of F.O. Stanley,

I would know him by
the clicks of his boot heels.

Keep that in mind

But in slow motion,

you see that the shadow
is actually rising

faster than my camera.

It rises up the wall and
then it shoots down the wall.

Right after we heard
the table and the chair

slam into the wall.

Felt different than in other
rooms we were in tonight.

And then you guys
said you heard footsteps.

It was pretty intense.

And, uh, you can see
by Laura's reaction,

she was scared out of her mind,

which I personally loved,
I thought it was great.

The video
you're about to see

was filmed at the West Virginia
State Penitentiary in 2005,

which blew my mind

as I had never before
experienced the activity

you're about to watch.

After spending five nights
in the historical prison,

we conducted several
investigations

of the five locations
said to be the most haunted.

The Sugar Shack, which served

as a recreational area
for the inmates.

The Hole, which was used
for solitary confinement,

the Warden's Tower,

the Psyche Ward
and the Hospital.

When all was said and done,

both the cast and crew had
several personal experiences

and fortunately for us,

we were able to back
these experiences up

with some hard evidence.

On the third night
of our investigation,

at about 4:35 a.m.,

our audio guy Tim came down
and grabbed me and said, "Chad,

you got to get down
here and see this."

What you're looking at here is
something that I cannot explain.

The lights that you see
circling the sugar shack

are actually slanted,

in the opposite direction
that the rain is falling.

And it's not as though
we captured this activity

for a short time.

We captured these
lights for 18 minutes.

We hit the Sugar Shack
with flashlights

and the dancing lights
came back.

We waved our hand
in front of the camera,

and still the dancing
lights came back.

In fact, our local P.A., Tom,
mustered up enough courage

to go sprinting
through the lights,

and still, the dancing
lights came back.

In short, I've watched this
video hundreds of times,

and to this day we are still
researching this phenomenon.

As I mentioned earlier,

we filmed this footage in 2005,

but in 2010,

while at the Villisca
Axe Murder House,

we filmed
the following activity,

which is incredibly similar,

especially when you compare both
pieces of evidence side by side.

Holy shit.

The footage you're about to see

took place in the poker room
of the St. James Hotel,

in which we had only
been investigating

for nine and a half minutes
when the following occurred.

Something's not right.
Something's not right.

-Yeah, just resting.

If there's any spirit here,

you're going to have to do
something that we know is you.

to communicate with us.

The chair moved.

-Yeah.

It should also
be noted that

since the goal
of this investigation

was to present our
findings to the public

because Mary Beth and I
were the only ones in the room

that could have affected
the chair physically.

I asked Justin and Joe
to recreate the event,

in which they clearly
demonstrated

that we were too far
away from the chair

to have affected it.

But I think in general,

whenever you experience
activity that's close to you,

it's always a good idea to have
somebody else recreate the event

in hopes of legitimizing it
or debunking it.

I think we got
something good, man.

Filmed on the fourth floor

of the Waverly Hills Sanatorium
by my friend, Adrian,

during ourTerror Normal
investigation,

we know that Adrian was
completely alone as he conducted

this walk-through with
a thermal camera.

Although we didn't see it at
the time in which he filmed it,

as his camera sways
back and forth,

Adrian documents an entity

that steps forward
and blacks out the exit light,

which is approximately
ten feet off the ground.

Take a look at this footage.

If you look very closely,

you can clearly see something

which looks like another
full bodied apparition

steps in front of the light,
blacking it out.

As I mentioned earlier,

from our own personal
sweeps of the building

and also from reviewing
security cameras,

we know that Adrian
was completely alone.

But beyond that,
this is not a human being,

as human beings look like this
on thermal camera.

So, with all options considered,

I do believe that Adrian
documented

some form of apparition
in this footage.

The following footage was filmed

at the Lake Conneaut Hotel after
investigating a linen room.

As I was walking out,
something breathed in my ear.

After exiting the room,

I quickly turned around
to reenter,

but as though I was not welcome,

the door began to close
of its own accord.

You want to stay there?

Dude, no, I totally just...

out that we spent over an hour

trying to get this door
to close on its own.

I'm not a wood expert,

so I don't know
what kind of wood

the door was made out of,

But the weirdest thing is that
there was actually a spring

connected to the door
that held it open.

So, in order for it to shut,

you would have to apply
a lot of pressure

from the back side of the door,

which clearly,
that did not happen,

as the door began to shut on me
as I tried to reenter it.

as they fold in on themselves
and then stay folded

as though something
was holding it.

We sure got
something interesting.

is one of my favourite
examples of evidence,

because it's an incredible
demonstration

of intelligent response.

for only a few minutes,

was documented.

shortly after it happened,

that I was asking John Sage

to come to the chapel,

as Graham believes the chapel

to be the peaceful home
of a child spirit

named Eleanor,

in which she hides in the chapel
to avoid John Sage.

Do get pulled off. They're
saying it's a mischievous child.

So, you're dealing
with someone,

though she's about
ten, 12 year old.

This happens often?

When she's having a tantrum.

Once I learned this
and reviewed the evidence

that we captured
from the control room,

I was blown away.

As without my knowing,

there was a much bigger picture

that was playing out
right before our eyes.

If you remember the audio
evidence from earlier,

at the same time
that a side door opened,

my team heard
a disembodied voice

of a young girl who had
a British accent saying,

"He's not there."

He's not there.

Well, only five minutes
after that happened,

the pew cushion
was thrown at me.

You would go to jail,

you would become
somebody's girlfriend.

What the fuck?

So, if we take
Graham at his word

and plug in the legend
of Eleanor and John Sage,

because my team and I
are not in radio contact,

it would appear
as though Eleanor

is trying to let my team know
that John Sage is not there.

He's not in the chapel.
That's who I'm calling for.

And at the time,
the door opens.

That door led
to the chapel stairwell.

-That's the only door?
-Yeah.

There's not one to the outside.

So, it was that door.

Yeah.

So, again, it appears
as though Eleanor

is telling my team,
"He's not there,"

as she opens the door to say,

"Go to the chapel and tell Chad,

John Sage is not here,
get him to stop."

When they didn't react,

the pew cushion
was thrown at me,

which, as you guys saw,

Graham says that Eleanor
throws the pew cushions

on the ground all the time

because she doesn't want
people in the chapel,

because John Sage
follows people.

As crazy as this all may seem

to somebody who did not
experience these events,

as the person who did,
this makes perfect sense.

And with that, my friends,

as I told you all
in the beginning,

I'm not attempting to make
you believe in ghosts.

I'm simply telling you
what I believe.

And after living through
all of these experiences

over the course of 25 years,

I found the answers
to my questions.

At the very least,

I hope I've inspired you
to seek out the answers

to the questions
that you may have

in regard to the supernatural,

the spiritual,
and the paranormal.

But far beyond satisfying
my own curiosity.

I've also truly enjoyed playing
the role of the student,

in which there's three things
that I would like to share

with you that I believe
I discovered along the way.

The first thing that I believe
I've discovered along this

incredible journey

is what it takes to experience
a paranormal activity.

And I think it's belief.

I think you have to
believe in it,

because I've seen it
over and over again,

where people will come into
a paranormal investigation

and they will be so committed
to not believing

and not having an experience
that they won't.

And I've been with them where
it seems like nothing happens.

We jokingly call
them paranormal coolers,

uh, because when they come in
the room, like, nothing happens.

But I think that speaks
to the power of the mind.

The power of the mind
is something that

the world's greatest scientists
cannot figure out.

The mind is doing
things all the time.

Our subconscious is doing
things all the time,

and we don't know what it is.

But we know it's active,
we know it's working.

But I've seen examples of belief

physically affecting
things in the room.

For example, I'm going
to play you a clip here.

This is actually from the
Paranormal Stateinvestigation,

Church of the Damned.

I was in a room
where this growling

was recorded
over and over again,

it was an intense growling.

Ryan and Chip decided
to go down into the room.

Now, they're both Catholic,
okay?

They felt as though

the prayer of St. Michael

would be effective
in cleansing this room.

Chip goes on with this--
this St. Michael's prayer.

And as he's doing it,

right when he gets to, like,
the crescendo of the prayer,

the Flir camera reacts to it

and starts showing, like, a
massive temperature difference,

like, right on cue.

And I remember
thinking to myself,

would that have happened
if I was in there?

Because I'm not Catholic

and I don't believe in the power
of St. Michael's prayer.

I don't-- It wouldn't mean
anything to me.

But it meant something to him.

And it meant something to Ryan,

and it meant something
to the owners

who were also devout Catholics.

I believe the reason
this happened

is because they believed
it would happen.

Check this out.

What the hell was that?

What was that?

That was interesting.

So, we got your attention?

How do you like that?

Now, the second thing
I wanted to discuss

is what is a ghost, right?

When you say,
"Do you believe in a ghost?"

What is that?

I mean, when you hear a voice
that shouldn't be there,

that's a ghost, right?

If you hear footsteps upstairs

and they shouldn't be coming
from anybody, that's a ghost.

Or if you set your car keys
down and you turn

and they're not there any more,

we say,
"Oh, that was a ghost."

Or if you see
a full body apparition,

you know,
obviously, that's a ghost.

When I say,
"I believe in ghosts,"

what I mean is,
I believe in future science.

I think this is all stuff that
we're going to figure out later

that we're just not smart enough
to understand right now.

I think this is
multiple dimensions

crossing into each other.

Um, I'm not even so sure that
when there's an intelligent

response or when there's
communication that you're even

talking to someone that's dead.

I think it's just as likely

as you're just communicating
with someone in a different

dimension that's viewing
you the same way.

That's why I love that film,
The Others, with Nicole Kidman.

If you haven't seen it,
you should see it.

But basically the Aha moment
at the end is you find out

the whole time you think
that she is experiencing ghosts,

but then you find out
she's the ghost, you know?

Uh, it's just really cool.

But there's so much of-- of this
world that we don't know.

I mean, just think about
where we are for a second.

We're these creatures
that are on this

massive spinning ball
that's flying

through this universe
of darkness

and to where, we don't know.
We don't even know why--

You know, science can't tell us

where we came from
or where we go.

But clearly,
we came from somewhere

and we're going somewhere.

So, I think a lot of times

when people don't
know the answer,

they go straight to denial.

What I do know

is that bizarre things
are happening all the time.

We live in a planet
that's filled

with nothing but energy
going wild around us.

There's electricity
through everything.

There's all kinds of forces
we don't even understand.

A lot of times when these
things happen, they're scary

because we don't understand it.

So, when I say,
"I believe in ghosts,"

that's to say,
I believe in science

that we don't understand yet.

I believe in multiple
dimensions crossing,

I believe that space
and time are connected.

I believe that Einstein
had it right,

that there are wormholes.
I believe in all that stuff.

And I think most paranormal
investigators that I know,

the more and more
they've studied this,

the more and more they start
to come to that conclusion,

that what we're really talking
about is string theory.

That's what we're experiencing.

And I-- I invite you
to look into that.

I invite you to study
string theory

and multiple dimensions and
some of the beliefs behind that.

And I think that is the closest
that I've come to

in regard to an explanation
as to what a ghost could be.

And lastly, at the beginning
of this film,

I told you that I had found the
answers that I had sought out.

To the questions that sent me
on this wild journey

that I've been on.

And it happened a couple
of years ago

in which it hit me
like a ton of bricks.

I was having a conversation
with Thomas

about the Sir Noface case.

Uh, there's this Australian case
that I did with

this investigator, Craig Powell.

And, you know,

Thomas was the driving force
behind it all happening.

And we were talking about just
how incredible the case was.

And it had everything, you know,

stunning evidence,
incredible documentation.

It was sanctioned
by the government.

I mean, it's truly incredible.

And we were talking about
it doesn't matter how,

uh, you know,
incredible the case is,

some people just won't

even give time of day or they
just refuse to accept the facts.

But, you know,
that never really bothered me

because I think that
people accept things when

they're ready to accept them.

What always bothered me is
that the scientific community,

they won't touch ghosts,
they just won't.

And they say, "Well,

science is about a repeatable
action that we can study

and there's nothing repeatable
in the paranormal

that's-- happens over
and over again."

In which my response was,
"Well, we're talking about

energy of living creatures

that were either once alive

or are living
in a different dimension."

And how can that be repeatable?

Meaning, my wife gets up
and goes to work every day.

But she's never once got up
and every single footstep

did it exactly the same
as she did the day before.

There's always variance.

That doesn't mean that she's not
real and she didn't go to work.

It just means that
there's not a repeatable action

to her because she's a human.

She never-- never does anything
the exact same way.

So, science will never touch it,

which doesn't make
any sense to me.

But then something hit me hard.

And again, like a ton of bricks.

I started thinking
about the fact that

over all these years,
everything you just watched,

everything that I've filmed,

everything I've ever seen from
other investigators who film,

there's never been
one piece of footage

that can prove beyond
a shadow of a doubt

to the scientific community or
otherwise that ghosts are real.

It's never happened.

There's always been
just enough doubt

in everything, or just enough
of a possibility,

even if it's like
a 1% chance

that this could have happened
to make this happen.

You know, it just seems
like, you know, the--

the object is just out of frame

or it's just-- just blurry
enough where it's not clear.

The EVP has just enough static
where it's not clear.

And then suddenly
it just hit me.

That's the consistency...

in all pieces of evidence,

in everything anybody
has ever captured.

That's the consistency.

There's always just enough
reason for doubt.

And the reason for that

is because if we can prove
the existence of ghosts,

we can prove
there's an other side.

We can prove
there's an other side.

There would be
no need for faith.

There would be
no need for faith.

And the fact that we don't know
what comes after we die,

that's what gives
this life value.

That's what gives
this life value.

That's what makes it where
we want to be a good person.

We want to live a good life.

Because if there's
something else coming,

we want to take part in it.

We don't want to be,

you know, either left behind
or sent to hell or whatever,

you know, your beliefs are.

I will never capture
the piece of evidence

that proves
the existence of ghosts,

because if I did,

there would be
no need for faith.

And that's the answer I came to.

So now when I ghost hunt,
I do it for fun.

I take people's so
they have their own experiences.

And through the ghost hunting,
I've met incredible people.

The experiences you have,

you are never closer
to the other side

than when you're with
somebody and you have

one of these experiences.

So, I urge you all,

go find your answers,

start your journey.

Because it's a special journey.
