First, I want to give you an overview of the curriculum of this course.

Section one which you're looking at right now is the course orientation.

Here we cover general things about Unreal Engine and how you'll get the most out of this course.

Section two is the Unreal Engine five Crash Course.

This will teach you how to install Unreal Engine, how to create new projects, how to navigate the

editor, and some very basic things about blueprints.

This is only geared towards beginners and if you already have some experience, feel free to skip this

section.

Section three is called paper 2D basics.

Paper 2D is the built in plugin and set of classes we use to make 2D and 2D 3D hybrid games with Unreal

Engine, and this is a very short chapter just explaining how and why we use this.

We'll also go into the free paper 3D plugin and how we can use it together with paper 2D and what benefit

it brings us.

All of the sections after that are dedicated to actually making the 2D action platformer game.

We'll cover everything from importing the sprites, setting up the inputs, creating the character blueprint,

implementing the shooting, creating enemies, making levels, and much more.

There will be a more detailed explanation of all of the chapters in the action Platformer overview video.
