So I told P'Tha, "I'm in," and got started.

Once I got started, I found that a remake is very difficult to do,

so much more than I expected.

I used to think that the original should provide a structure for us.

But actually the details are difficult.

There are so many considerations.

How will I show respect to the original?

And how will I add something special to make it fresh?

Many layers that I need to figure out.

F4 is not just another love story.

The content is filled with many agendas that we want to show

about social status and bullying.

Thyme is a hothead.

he'd be the only one who held it together and kept us in line.

He's very serious in his work.

That's the difference and a challenge for me.

I feel like I've gained a much better understanding of him.

When we did the initial workshop,

I didn't understand this character that much.

But once I've played the role for a while,

I feel that I can be him.

This is difficult.

He's the most difficult character to cast.

He's the complete opposite of Thyme

in terms of energy, personality, warmth, calmness

but also pleasing to the eyes.

And then we met Dew.

A great thing about Dew is

he has the same wavelength as Ren.

When put together with the other guys,

I feel that he's interesting.

One problem is Dew has never acted before.

He's very green.

After we got him, we workshopped with him.

He's the one who needs to do the most homework.

I keep telling him, "You got a hard character in your acting debut."

It really is hard.

Ren is smart. He's got double layers in how he talks.

There are a lot of details we need to work with.

Dew may look cool and calm.

But once you get to know him, he's got a lot that's opposite to Ren.

He can be goofy and a wisecracker at times.

Ren in this version, I can say, is different from any previous versions.

He's got his unique charm.

I think Dew can make a lot of people fall in love.

Ren is cool, calm, and collected.

He's quiet and observant.

And he's very mature.

I feel that the way he moves is smooth and soft yet firm.

I think that he looks really good as a character.

It made me happy to get called in to audition for F4.

Just that was enough to make me happy.

I didn't hope to get it.

I didn't know if I could do it if I got the role.

The name itself indicates that it's a big project.

I wasn't that confident in myself.

I knew I wasn't ready during the first shooting... the first scene.

Once the shooting started, "Oh, it's not how I thought it was."

The confidence I had before... didn't work.

I wasn't confident enough.

I was so tense.

That's the beginning.

After a while, I can feel I'm like Ren more and more

and can become Ren 100%.

How's the scene on the roof today?

The scene on the roof?

I'm getting used to it.

I feel that it's becoming my place.

It feels more natural to me... I guess.

But I feel that the roof is... another character in itself.

Very hot.

I'm sure my face will be burnt.

In the show I get to show my talent, drawing.

As you know, Ren draws.

He draws all the time.

He draws a lot more than me.

Because of this,

his drawings, which he does all the time,

may not be perfect or detailed

but they're definitely well-trained.

The reference that the director gives me is quick drawings

but there're consistency and well-trained skills underneath.

It's on point in many ways,

which is not me.

I can draw quickly but not as quickly as Ren.

I can be detailed but not as detailed as Ren.

I've got some experience but not as much as Ren.

How can I make it look like I have what Ren has?

That's where I need to do my homework.

Dew's character is a hard one.

I need to work with him a lot because he's got a storyline with Gorya.

I do my homework with Dew outside the shooting often.

Dew is very intent on delivering a perfect Ren because it's really hard.

Dew and Ren are similar in some ways.

Dew may not be as mature as Ren

but I feel that he's dependable as Ren is.

In Hana Yori Dango or other TV versions

MJ's character is different.

In each version, this character differs

with details that are not the same.

So we started with this character

We did our homework and arrived at our vision.

We wanted a gangster, bad boy with playfulness and authority.

Once we got the concept, we started looking for an actor.

We found Nani.

Nani, when I first met him, was visually distinctive.

He stood out from the crowd.

If the four of them walk together, you will notice Nani.

He's got everything we want for MJ.

I must admit that MJ has the least part in the story.

He must not be buried.

He must be visually attractive and can steal the scene.

The more prestigious the family you're born into,

the more perfect you have to be.

I think MJ has a lot of energy.

I don't have that level of energy.

So I try to amp up the energy to match.

MJ is colorful, unique, and confident.

He's got swag.

Am I similar to that?

Some elements are similar

but the level of energy doesn't match.

The part that I feel we have in common is

that MJ cares a lot about F4,

he cares a lot about his friends.

I am also sensitive about friend stuff.

the rest is the fun to see how they grow bit by bit

to become more and more like the F4 we envision.

These shoes will take you to a good place that may be hidden.

I'd seen Tu on social media for a while.

And I felt that she's visually stunning.

Her looks are international.

And I've discovered that Tu is a wonder kid.

I can say that Tu is very talented.

I haven't seen a new actor with an instinct this good in a long while.

The next important thing is the chemistry between Tu and Bright.

Will they work well together?

For me, even if I found such a good actress

but she didn't have the right chemistry,

if seeing Gorya with Thyme gave me nothing, it wouldn't work.

These two hadn't met before.

On the first day they met, I had them do an exercise

in which they fought and hated each other,

and from hating each to hugging each other.

I felt something there.

I felt that I believe a connection between these two.

I feel real love for these two characters.

When I got Tu, I could feel that the romantic part

between Thyme and Gorya is another selling point

that I can't wait for the audience to see.

Playing Gorya strengthens this for me.

I'm quite nervous.

As I mentioned, it's a big project

and it's my first job as an actress.

I'm excited and happy to be part of this project.

I met her during the first season of the Gifted.

Hana is a very difficult character to play.

I can't tell you much right now.

I was worried if I gave a task too difficult for an actress.

But June deliveres, and it's quite special.

Milk is a new kid whom I'd never met before.

She's very colorful.

I can see that if I put her here, visually she will look great.

She's different from other female characters.

Lita is a very difficult character to play for Milk.

She really has her work cut out for her.

Neen is as you know...

Mona appears later in the show.

But her appearance will create an impact.

This character will make others instantly believe

that she's Kavin's most important conflict.

Fah plays Mira.

Mira is a perfect lady shining so bright.

Gorya sort of has a girl crush on her.

She admires Mira so much.

In the meantime, this lady is Ren's long-time love.

She can mess with Ren and makes Ren fall in love again and again.
