You know, I cant vouch for its nutritional quality.

>> Brooke: [ Gasps ] Breakfast is supposed to be

the most important meal of the day.

>> Katie: No, Brooke.

>> Donna: The next one.

>> Katie: The next one. Yes.

>> Brooke: [ Laughs ] >> Donna: Yeah, and besides, uh,

uh, croissants have eggs, uh, flour...

>> Katie: Mm-hmm.

>> Donna: Practically cereal.

>> Katie: Yep.

>> Brooke: You know, none of us liked card games when we were

growing up, so this is what we did.

>> Donna: Yeah.

Did we ever actually finish one, though?

>> Brooke: All I remember is Katie getting up in the middle

of the night and messing up everything that we ever did.

>> Katie: I was not.

I was fixing it.

>> Donna: Oh, oh.

And Mom would never believe that of her golden-haired little

angel.

>> Hope: Wait, wait.

Golden-haired?

>> Brooke: Well, she was blond-ish when she was

growing up.

>> Katie: Crazy, huh?

>> Donna: You know babies.

Well, I wonder if that means Kellys hair will turn dark

like her moms.

And Phoebe, you know, she -- I wonder if her hair will

turn darker, too.

>> Wyatt: Did we, uh, come at a bad time?

>> Steffy: No, not at all.

Just having some girl time.

>> Sally: [ Chuckles ] >> Wyatt: Nice.

Well, uh, Pams photos of the new baby turned out to be mostly

of her thumb, so...

>> Sally: Yeah.

So we figured if Pam could get a viewing, how bout us?

>> Wyatt: Yeah, plus were neighbors.

>> Wyatt: Is it just me, though, or do they look kind of alike?

>> Sally: You know, now that you mention it...

>> Wyatt: I mean, Phoebes a little tinier, but

her eyes and her nose...

>> Steffy: Yeah, yeah. I -- I actually see it sometimes.

>> Wyatt: Huh.

I mean, it would...

I dont know.

I wish my brother and Hopes baby...

>> Steffy: I know.

>> Brooke: Oh, I got one!

>> Katie: This reminds me of that place we went to for camp

that one time, and Donna had me convinced there was a monster in

the lake, and I didnt swim the entire summer.

>> Brooke: This looks way nicer than the camp.

>> Katie: That does not fit there.

I dont think so.

>> Donna: Ooh, if I just had my manicure scissors...

>> Katie: No!

Youre not doing that.

>> Brooke: Not on your life!

>> Katie: All of those puzzles you ruined with your

manicure scissors.

>> Brooke: [ Sighs ] God.

>> Donna: They were not ruined.

They were just, you know, bruised.

>> Brooke: Oh, you know what?

>> Katie: Here.

>> Hope: I dont think that piece is gonna fit there.

>> Donna: Oh, God!

>> Katie: She just keeps trying, you know?

>> Katie: Shes nothing if not tenacious.

>> Hope: I know.

>> Katie: [ Laughs ] >> Liam: Hey.

Whats all the rowdiness?

>> Katie: Oh!

>> Brooke: Oh!

[ Laughter ] >> Liam: Uh, so,

they were out of sourdough.

I got potato bread instead.

And, um, oranges and Meyer lemons are in season,

so thats...

>> Brooke: Oh.

>> Liam: Um...

>> Donna: Nice.

>> Liam: Im just -- Im gonna unpack this stuff,

and then Ill get right out of your hair.

>> Hope: No, no. No, stay.

I mean, we were just talking about Kelly.

Um... Do you think her hair will fill in darker as she gets

older?

>> Liam: Um...

Yeah, I suppose so.

>> Hope: And what about Phoebe?

I mean, I just -- I cant picture her

with dark hair.

I know I only met her once, but I cant stop thinking about her.

>> Xander: We cant.

>> Zoe: I disagree.

>> Xander: Not here.

>> Zoe: Fine.

Something to look forward to.

Anyway, I actually wanted to hunt you down, tell you a little

bit about my adventure.

>> Xander: What adventure?

>> Zoe: Her names Flo.

>> Steffy: I guess I was open to other options.

Staying in touch, the birth mother

being part of Phoebes life.

But she didnt want it.

She seems really determined to close that chapter of her

life.

>> Wyatt: Right.

I mean, maybe thats -- thats for the best.

>> Steffy: She knows whats right for her.

>> Sally: But if shes so cautious, how did you find her?

>> Steffy: Uh, my -- my mom.

Yeah, my mom knows a lot of people -- shrinks, social

workers.

She quietly put out the word that I was considering adoption.

>> Wyatt: So Taylor found her?

>> Steffy: Yeah. Yeah.

I-I wasnt really ready, but...

>> Wyatt: Well, life doesnt wait till youre ready.

>> Steffy: Exactly.

>> Sally: That must be how I wound up with you.

>> Wyatt: Oh, you werent searching for a devastatingly

handsome, charming boyfriend?

>> Sally: No, I was.

>> Wyatt: Oh.

>> Sally: But Id rather have you.

>> Wyatt: What?!

>> Steffy: Ooooh!

Snappity, snappity, girlfriend.

>> Wyatt: No snappity, snappity.

No high-fives. No high-fives.

>> Sally: She knows.

>> Steffy: I totally get it.

Totally get it.

>> Wyatt: What?

>> Steffy: You know, sometimes you Spencer boys need to be

put in your place.

>> Wyatt: Anyway, lets get back to the adoption, shall we?

>> Steffy: [ Laughs ] >> Wyatt: I mean, the timing was

pretty amazing, right?

>> Steffy: Yeah. Yeah, it -- it really is.

It just seems like the whole situation is

miraculously falling into place.

>> Donna: So if anyone has boat pieces...

>> Katie: Heres deck.

>> Donna: Thank you.

>> Katie: Heres this.

And I think...

>> Hope: I dont think were setting any speed records here,

are we?

>> Brooke: Well, its just a way to pass the time.

>> Liam: Okay.

Im gonna let you guys -- >> Hope: No, no, no.

No, Liam, stay.

I mean, hes really good at puzzles.

After all, I -- I kind of am one.

>> Liam: I think youre more of an open book than a puzzle.

Does this -- does this go...

Yeah.

>> Donna: [ Shrieks ] >> Katie: Ahh.

>> Hope: See?

What did I tell you?

>> Donna: [ Chuckles ] >> Liam: So, what is this place?

>> Donna: Oh, our dad took us here on vacation one time.

>> Katie: What?

>> Brooke: He did not.

>> Katie: No. Dad -- [ Sighs ] Dad was never around for any of

our vacations.

>> Donna: What? No.

I totally remember him talking about this place.

>> Katie: Well, thats not the same thing.

>> Donna: Okay.

I guess Im wrong. Heh...

Dont you ever tell yourself stories about life

when you were kids, you know?

And I guess at one point I just decided to remember things

better than they were.

>> Brooke: Yeah, I do that sometimes.

Who wants to remember how bad the bad times were?

>> Hope: But what if thats the only way you can remember the

good times?

I mean, being pregnant with Beth was the happiest time

of my life.

I was never more in love.

Look, I -- I know you want me to forget her and move on,

but...

>> Katie: No.

Hope, we dont want that.

>> Brooke: You and Liam have been through something terrible.

And were just trying to help.

We dont really know how.

But if youre feeling bitter or angry and you just want to

get it off your chest, then go right ahead.

I mean, we all understand.

>> Hope: I dont know what you want me to say.

>> Brooke: Honey, just say whats true.

What youre feeling.

>> Hope: How?

I mean, I can tell you Im sad.

That much is true.

But it goes so much deeper than that.

I dont even know how Im feeling.

And -- and then when I do feel something, I dont

even think its right.

>> Katie: It doesnt have to be right.

I mean [Sighs] were all here not because of -- of some

puzzle, but were here because of you, because we want to help.

or aunts and uncles to tell me everythings okay, but, uh,

honestly, I dont think Id believe them even if I did.

I wasnt there for you the night our daughter died.

tattoos.

>> Wyatt: What? [ Laughs ] Who said anything about

>> Steffy: If I ever need a babysitter -- and my

babysitters not available -- then Ill be calling you.

>> Wyatt: All right.

>> Sally: Well, thank you for letting us take a peek at the

princesses.

>> Wyatt: Yeah. Hey, um...

[ Clears throat ] Can I, uh...

Can I ask you something?

>> Sally: You know, Im gonna -- Im gonna out to --

>> Wyatt: No, no, no. I -- Its... [ Scoffs ]

Is my brother all right?

Like, I j-- I cant tell anymore.

And obviously youve seen him, youve -- youve talked to him.

>> Steffy: Yeah. Yeah, I have.

Hes beating himself up, just like Hope.

"If only I could do this differently," or,

"If I did this," or -- you know, just...

>> Wyatt: I mean, a conscience is a good thing to have,

except when it turns into obsession.

>> Steffy: Hell be okay.

Im keeping a respectful distance.

I dont want Phoebe to feel like salt in their wound.

>> Xander: So, whos Flo?

>> Zoe: Lets just call her a person of interest.

>> Xander: [ Scoffs ] You and these American cop

shows, honestly.

>> Zoe: Yeah, but my hunch was right.

That key that my dad left behind at work was a spare to his

apartment.

>> Xander: So why do you think he was so cagey about giving you

the address?

>> Zoe: Well, that mysterys solved.

But now theres another one.

>> Xander: What, he didnt want you seeing how modestly he was

living?

>> Zoe: No.

I mean, modest was probably the right word for it, but its

actually a respectable place.

You know, just like one of those average, fully-furnished,

cookie-cutter apartments you see everywhere.

>> Xander: So obviously you let yourself in.

>> Zoe: Okay, but wouldnt you?

Granted, I didnt know what I was looking for.

I never knew why he came to L.A., and I still dont know

why he left.

But maybe Im starting to.

>> Xander: Because of this Flo person?

>> Zoe: I mean, shes young, and shes pretty, and she was living

with my dad until...

[ Sighs ] Well, thats what I dont know.

Yet.

>> Xander: Your father was never home.

>> Zoe: [ Sighs ] >> Xander: Maybe he was just

subletting a room.

>> Zoe: There was only one bedroom.

>> Xander: Oh.

>> Zoe: Yeah.

I mean, she was his type.

To be fair, shes probably any mans type.

Okay. Down, boy.

>> Xander: Mm. Yeah. Sorry.

>> Zoe: Mm-hmm.

Anyway, whatevers been going on with my dad, she knows.

Shes just not saying it.

>> Xander: Im having trouble picturing this.

So you just let yourself into her apartment and --

>> Zoe: My fathers.

My dads allowing her to live there.

So she says.

Even though she still lives in Vegas?

Which does not add up.

>> Xander: Yeah, but, still, I mean, for now shes staying

there, so you, a total stranger, just let yourself in and then,

what, the two of you had a friendly chat?

>> Zoe: Okay, she wasnt home when I got there.

Then she was.

And she wasnt unfriendly.

I mean, she did say that she was gonna call the police,

but then I got the impression that she was bluffing, and she

found out who I was, and, of course, everything changed.

>> Xander: For the better?

>> Zoe: A little bit yes, a little bit no.

She got very circumspect.

Like, Id ask her if she knew why my father left for London,

and then she would say something like, "Why dont you ask him?"

>> Xander: Maybe they had a bad breakup?

>> Zoe: Yeah, but I just didnt get that breakup vibe from her.

She likes my dad.

They actually met at the casino in Vegas.

She works there, or she did.

Honestly, Im not sure, because she seemed a bit lost.

And then this odd thing happened when I had asked if she noticed

a change in him.

Because I did.

But I just connect it back to that night on Catalina when

Hope lost her baby.

I just thought she might have seen a difference in him, too.

So, what did she say?

>> Zoe: "Im sorry."

>> Xander: For what?

>> Zoe: That, I have yet to find out.

>> Steffy: I called her "Feebs."

My sister.

Your namesake.

Well see if that happens with you.

You really are like a fairy-tale princess.

The king and queen are searching for you.

But youre right here.

Safe with me.

And thats where youre gonna stay.

>> Donna: Maybe this wasnt the best idea I ever had.

>> Hope: Stop.

>> Brooke: Stop what, honey?

>> Hope: Just stop thinking that everything youre doing

is wrong.

All this...

what youre doing, all of you, its -- its beautiful.

And, Liam...

Sweetheart, you know -- you know that you could never

fail me.

>> Liam: You and I both know that I have.

More than once.

>> Hope: Well, I knew you never stopped loving me.

And maybe we just werent ready until now.

Maybe we needed to be stronger and wiser.

And things sometimes do turn out for the best.

Except for what happened to Beth.

Ill never understand why God took her from us, but

I think Im beginning to understand that there is

something -- there is something that -- that can help me go on.

>> Katie: What is it?

Can you talk about it?

>> Hope: Um...

Well, I went over to Steffys house to welcome her new

daughter.

Because, you know, were still family.

And I had to accept that.

I didnt want it to poison me with jealousy or resentment.

So I went over there, and...

I didnt know how Id react.

You know, I-I thought, "What if I run out of there

screaming?

What if I break down crying?" >> Liam: You were perfect.

>> Hope: No.

She was.

Steffy put Phoebe in my arms, and it was like electricity

just went all through my body to my heart, which has felt dead

for so long.

And its something about her.

Its something in her eyes, and when she laughs, when she

looks at her, and her smell, and how she holds my hands,

it just...

This girl whose mother didnt want her makes me feel like a

mother.

You know, I am so happy for Steffy and for Kelly and for

you, too, Liam.

And for me, you know, I didnt --

I didnt have much left inside of me.

Until that moment. And its -- Its hard to explain,

because it feels so much bigger than me, but...

I think Phoebe came into my life to give me back hope.

>> Liam: [ Sighs ]
