polluting and infecting
Florida waterways.

Some call it a punishment
from an angry god,

while others fear
it may be the work of the devil.

The beaches are deserted,
the stench is toxic,

and the water
has been contaminated,

as if it's been cursed.

No one knows
the long-term effects
this will have on humans,

but we do know it has wreaked
death and destruction

to all maritime creatures.

Now, the plague of the red tide
has aided in the escape

of convicted cop killer
Al David.

[huffs]
