Teams must test their culinary skill

by rolling, filling and baking
24 Aussie meat pies,

ensuring the pastry
is neatly trimmed on all the edges.

Only when each and every pie
is baked to meaty perfection

between two challenges,

each with its own pros and cons.

In this Detour, teams must choose
between fan and find.

Sydney has a rich Chinese heritage,
with the country's largest Chinatown.

The western suburb of Bonnyrigg

is home to one of the largest
Chinese Buddhist temples

in the southern hemisphere,

which is where the teams
are heading now.

Teams that choose fan must come down
to the Mingyue Lay Temple

and learn and perform
a traditional fan dance,

which dates back to 200 A.D.,

celebrating the Han dynasty.

Once they've performed it correctly,
they will receive their next clue.

It's all in the wrist.

Or if teams choose find, they must
make their way to the main hall,

kneel on a red cushion
and shake the fortune sticks.

When a single stick
falls to the ground,

they must take it to the gold room

and find the right number amongst
a maze of thousands of boxes,

and if successful,
they'll receive their next clue.
