was far from coward.

mostly the man saw the raven.

He saw it so often and in
such unexpected places,

that he began to
doubt his own mind.

The man knew not where
the waterfall was,

but he knew that the raven
would bring him there.

In the mornings, he could
not remember his dreams,

but every inch of him felt
that he must continue south.

After a month in the forest

with none to talk
to but his dog,

a man will begin to hold his
inner conversations aloud.
