>> Hope: I dont know if tackling weeks of unanswered

e-mails qualifies as "jumping back into work," but

youre right.

I do need to meet with my team now that Ridge is supporting

the line again.

>> Brooke: Im really happy that hes doing that.

>> Hope: did you ask him to do that?

Because youre worried about, if I dont have something to

focus on, then -- >> Brooke: Honey, honey.

[ Sighs ] There is no time limit

to grieving for somebody that youve loved and lost.

And some people may take longer than others.

But you just have to go by how you feel.

And youve always loved Hope For The Future.

Ridge just believes, as do I, that its good for you to

get involved in your revitalized line.

it doesnt change what Im thinking about.

naturally Im a little curious.

>> Flo: What are you curious about?

>> Zoe: Your relationship with him.

>> Flo: No, I just -- I just think youre gonna find I

dont really have any interesting answers for them.

You asked how I know your dad.

I met him in Las Vegas.

>> Zoe: So you were a show girl?

>> Flo: [ Scoffs ] Please.

If you could just see me on the dance floor, youd know how

crazy that would be.

[ Chuckles ] No, Im -- Im a croupier.

I-I run a craps table.

Reese would come to my table a lot.

>> Zoe: Yeah. Ill bet.

>> Flo: Hes a really great man, your dad.

But Im not telling you anything you didnt already know, right?

>> Zoe: Look, um, I dont mean to get too personal, but was

there more...?

>> Flo: If you already know that your dads back in London, Zoe,

why -- why are you here?

>> Zoe: Im looking for clues.

>> Katie: Are you sure youre not rushing this?

Coming back to work too soon?

>> Wyatt: Yeah, look, it -- its not that were not thrilled

that youre back and everything.

Its just, if you need more time...

>> Sally: And its perfectly understandable if you do.

>> Emma: They dont know, do they?

>> Katie: Know what?

>> Hope: Um... Its the reason I asked you here.

Uh, Emma was there earlier when Eric announced it, and he wanted

me to relay a message from Ridge that Hope For The Future

is getting a new infusion of cash and support.

But that also means that Ill have to put myself back out

there publicly with publicity, social media, et cetera,

et cetera.

And it means that I will, um...

have to address the loss of my daughter publicly.

[ Knock on door ] >> Brooke: I probably should

have called first.

I know that you have your hands full.

But I just wanted to congratulate you in person,

and meet the newest member of your family.

>> Katie: Whatever you need us to do, Hope, we will do it,

okay?

>> Wyatt: Listen, Forresters marketing and social-media teams

are at your disposal.

>> Emma: Have you thought about how you want to handle things?

>> Hope: I-I guess I dont know what the best way is to reemerge

in the public eye.

>> Katie: Well, um, Im not really sure there is a

best way, but whatever we do, well make sure that were

sensitive to you, and...

and to everyone who follows you.

>> Wyatt: [ Clears throat ] >> Sally: Its gonna be

really hard.

>> Wyatt: Yeah.

>> Sally: On you and on them.

>> Katie: Are you sure youre up for this?

>> Steffy: The girls are napping, but knowing Phoebe, she

wont be down long.

>> Brooke: Oh!

Ive heard so many wonderful things about her.

>> Steffy: Shes quite the little peanut.

>> Brooke: Heh.

>> Steffy: Obviously, as her mom, Im quite biased.

>> Brooke: Well, Im sure most mothers are.

I know I was.

>> Steffy: How is Hope?

Does she know youre here?

>> Brooke: No.

We were at the office together, and --

>> Steffy: Shes already back at work?

>> Brooke: Well, lets just say shes testing the waters.

>> Steffy: You dont think its too soon?

>> Brooke: I dont know.

Im just taking my cue from Hope, just supporting her

however she feels.

>> Steffy: Well, what about you?

And your healing?

You lost your granddaughter.

>> Brooke: Yes, I did.

And Ill never be able to see that beautiful girl.

I have to tell you, Steffy, it hasnt been easy.

>> Steffy: Of course not.

Especially coming here, knowing that I have a healthy, beautiful

baby.

>> Brooke: Oh! [ Sighs ] I didnt mean that.

I -- Im very happy for you, and for Kelly, and for baby Phoebe.

Its just that [Sighs] Im still grieving my daughters loss.

And my loss, as well.

>> Steffy: Yeah, I understand.

>> Brooke: I mean, Im married to your father.

Were a family.

I just dont think that it was [Sighs] really the ideal time

for an adoption, given what happened to Beth.

>> Steffy: It all just happened so quickly.

>> Brooke: I know.

So, it was Taylors connection that put you in touch with the

birth mother?

>> Steffy: Yeah, a lovely woman Ill be forever indebted to.

>> Flo: I just dont know how much help I can be to you.

>> Zoe: Youve been living with my dad, right?

Then you probably know him as well as anyone.

>> Flo: [ Scoffs ] I wouldnt go that far.

>> Zoe: So, did he ask you to move in with him, or was that

your idea?

>> Flo: Was what my idea?

>> Zoe: To stay in L.A., leave your job at the casino

so you could be closer to my dad?

>> Flo: What makes you think I left my job?

>> Zoe: Well, what?

Is this not a permanent move to you, then?

Are you going back to Vegas?

I mean, if so, I get it, because we all have bills to

pay, and Im sure that yours have just been stacking up

since youve been gone.

Unless...

>> Flo: Unless what?

>> Zoe: Hes been taking care of those for you, too?

>> Flo: I dont know when Im gonna be leaving L.A.

I like it here.

You know, I may just try to get a job at one of the local

casinos, or maybe Ill meet some big Hollywood producer

and become an overnight star.

[ Chuckles ] I mean, hey, crazier things

have happened.

Anyway, I-I dont know my plans.

Im just gonna stay here for the foreseeable future, I guess.

>> Zoe: And staying in my fathers flat while you do?

>> Flo: Well, he offered it.

>> Zoe: You could have turned it down.

>> Flo: Well, I guess I could have, but --

>> Zoe: But you didnt.

Which makes me wonder what exactly your arrangement was

with my father.

>> Flo: I have been very polite.

I have answered all of your questions, even the more

personal ones.

I understand why youre curious about me, but this is just going

a little -- >> Zoe: Look, Im just trying to

find out why my father suddenly left L.A., okay?

And youve known him for a while.

Youve obviously spent time with him before he went back to

London.

If there was anyone to notice a change in him...

>> Flo: What kind of change are you talking about?

>> Zoe: Im not exactly sure, okay?

And thats why Im here.

You know, thats why Im asking you.

Did you notice anything different about him?

And if so, did you ever ask him what was going on or why?

You know more about my father than youre letting on,

dont you?

>> Flo: You certainly dont let up, do you?

>> Zoe: I love my dad.

Sure, weve had our ups and downs.

But for him to leave L.A.

practically overnight, it doesnt really make sense.

Especially after he put in all this work to relocate,

and he got this new job he was really excited about.

>> Flo: I take it your dad didnt tell you his plans before

he showed up to L.A.?

>> Zoe: No.

Came as a complete surprise.

You know, Dad was just acting like his happy-go-luck,

free-spirited self.

But it didnt last long.

And he started to act different, and I noticed.

Something, uh, happened.

Something that really affected my father.

Did he tell you about it?

>> Flo: About what?

>> Zoe: The night on Catalina.

The storm.

The stillborn that, uh, he delivered.

Did he say anything about that?

>> Flo: [ Stammers ] Why would he?

>> Zoe: Well, you were living with my dad.

He didnt ever open up to you?

>> Flo: I really think that you should be talking to your father

about this, not me.

>> Zoe: I have, okay?

But I didnt get really far.

Look, if theres anything...

anything at all that you can tell me, please.

>> Flo: Im sorry.

>> Zoe: Right. Well...

Uh, this is still my fathers flat, so Im gonna

keep looking around.

>> Flo: Of course.

Im just gonna clean up a little bit.

[ Keys clinking ] [ Bags crinkling ]

>> Hope: Um, Ive written a statement about losing Beth.

Theres so much I wanted to say.

[ Sighs ] Um...

I know this has to be done, its just, putting it out there means

reliving it all, and...

You know, I just want to get this part over with as soon as

possible.

>> Steffy: I dont know if youre aware, but I spoke to

Liam about pursuing this adoption.

I wanted his blessing.

But most of all, it was really important to me to handle things

as sensitively as possible.

Especially with what Hope and Liam are going through.

>> Brooke: I know that Hope has seen the baby.

She said shes very beautiful.

>> Steffy: I thought it would be really painful for Hope.

But the moment I put Phoebe in her arms...

I know that moments gonna stay with Hope always.

[ Phoebe cries on monitor ] Thats Phoebe.

>> Wyatt: As for the Hope For The Future reboot, uh,

theres a couple of ways we could go.

>> Hope: You know, Ive been giving that some thought, too,

the speech Ill make.

I -- First I want to talk about how proud I am of our line

and what it represents, and the kind of difference weve been

able to make.

But I also want to mention something thats become very

personal to me, which is how vital it is to care for

our future generation.

Especially for our young daughters.

Um...

Mothers have such high hopes for their little girls when theyre

born, and we want to give them the world, and, you know,

sometimes things happen, and were not able to.

Um...

And mothers blame themselves.

And what I want them to know is, what I want our message

[Voice breaks] to be is, um...

From the start, this line has been about empowering women

and giving them hope and inspiration.

And I know for me personally, Ive found a lot of inspiration

in how strong my mother and my aunts are.

And, uh...

Its just -- its just, when I needed my own strength the most

that night, the night when, um...

>> Reese: It was a, uh -- a placental abruption.

[ Hope sobbing ] >> Hope: The doctor said there

was nothing we could have done.

There was nothing we could have done.

I think maybe youre not ready for this.

>> Hope: How can I talk about strength when I couldnt even --

when I couldnt even stay awake for my daughter when she needed

me the most?

[ Sobbing ] How can I talk about that when, if I had stayed

awake, if I was strong enough to have stayed awake, things might

be different.

You know, things -- things might be different.

Beth might be here right now.
