When you come up on a stolen car,

Driver's claiming that he was carjacked six months ago

so he has to go for a ride.

so he's also going to jail.

and I've been hearing about the difficulties

the Jefferson Parish animal shelter has

in getting their dogs adopted.

Most of the animals there are abused or abandoned,

and if they don't get homes, they're put to sleep.

And that's my wife and I are here.

We have plenty of animals that need your attention

and would like some human interaction.

When my wife heard that this dog

might have a bit of a difficult time getting a home,

it was a little bit too much for her.

We both love animals,

and I'm gonna try to make it my mission

to get this dog a home too.

What can my wife and I do to help get these dogs adopted?

Well, we have an adoption event this weekend.

So they brought their little poodle over

so that he could meet.

Well, he's gonna get along

When I was at the animal shelter,

you know, I was feeling very emotional and sad

to see all those beautiful dogs at the shelter.

because I see them, you know, finding home,

and we were able to parcipate in that,
