There's two shots in the right lung area

which very possibly, looking at the angle,

could have gone through the heart.

He's a young guy, probably mid-20s.

He's deceased now.

Ems is packing up, and there's nothing more anybody can do.

>> The family members, they realize that he is dead.

And they wanted the ambulance to take him.

But they're not gonna take him once their pronounced dead

on the scene.

>> There's a lot of chaos here,

distraught family members,

a lot of people very, very angry.

We need to lock the scene down so we can preserve the evidence.

Given this guy's record and so forth and so on,

I think that that's exactly what I'm seeing this time.

It's another homicide.

His foot was still on the brake.

And looks like he got shot by somebody that he knew

sitting right next to him inside the vehicle.

We have no leads on this one.

marijuana charges.

Jefferson Parish has its highest murder rate in 27 years.

And I think a lot of that's

due to a lot of narcotics influx in J.P.

We're really trying to bring that number down

by more proactive police work.

we're a little too aggressive.

But in neighborhoods like this, we have to take this approach

in order to keep these neighborhoods safe.

We don't know why they ran,

but they don't have any warrants,

And we're just trying to map it out

so we can get it right and get going.

The gangster comes up here,

has a machine gun.

I take him out.

And then I can come back here and get into a big gunfight

with these guys.

I'm producing his new movie A Dangerous Man for Paramount.

>> Well, I think one of the things that could work

easier than the handgun thing

is if they have a submachine gun.

>> So you wanna do a hand-to-hand beat with the guy

Kill most of them,

and then maybe finish off one or two.

I've worked with Steven for 21 years now.

Started with him as a student in martial arts.

Became a stunt man,

and now I'm his producer.

>> So then maybe I kind of start to run this way

across the field, and of course, I have a direct line of sight

>> Steven is always hands-on, creatively,

especially with the beginning action sequences,

which is a hallmark of all great Steven Seagal films.

The thing that I've always loved

about being a police officer is that it's real.

It's real people, real dilemma, real problems.

Hollywood is pretend.

Of course, I'm very grateful

that I have work in the movie business,

Because we do, in our own small way,

sometimes get the chance to bring people joy

and laughter and happiness.

You lift it up and say whatever you're gonna say.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt,

and I come back the next night,

can easily become the victim of a robbery or a drug rip.

>> When I was their age, I was in Asia studying in the dojo.

I was spending 13, 14 hours a day

fighting and stretching and learning, and...

just never entered my life, this kind of foolishness.

>> This one young man here was in possession of a lot of drugs.

He's gonna take a ride.

I don't wanna lose hope or lose faith,

because it's possible for anybody to change.
