All language subtitles for 61 Face Face Fillet

This is tutorial number 61 and it covers how to use the face to face fillet feature within

Katia V5.

Start off, open up tutorial number 59 which is located on the DVD.

Now the face to face fillet feature can be found in the tool bar over here or if you go

to insert, dress up features face to face.

So the face to face works just like the other ones except what you're going to do is you're

going to select two faces on the part and you're going to create a fillet between the two

of them.

So to do this, let's start off, let's click the face to face and let's make a fillet

along this edge here.

So we're going to click this face and this face and click OK.

And you can see that we created a fillet right there.

Now you can do it again, let's try this one here, this face, this face and let's make

it 10.

OK, and now we've made a fillet between those two faces.

So this tool allows you to rather than selecting the edges, just select a couple faces that

you see fit and you're able to create a fillet in between them.

So I'm going to click this face and this face and I'm able to create that corner fillet

that I made before.

Now you're also able to do this between either curved surfaces such as this or ones that

there's multiple faces going on.

So let's click this face here, the face face fillet feature, we'll click this face and

click this face and it's going to and we're going to click OK and it's going to go all the

way around just like it did before.

So with this tool, it gives you another degree of freedom kind of more options to choose

the faces and choose where you're going to put your fillet between those faces again.
