- So I used to present
a late night chat show.

Guys would call in, I
would patch them through,

I was kind of like a
switchboard operator really.

- Yeah, on Taryn's show
things could genuinely get

a little racy.

Sometimes, yeah, but I was pretty good

at moving things along quickly.

- It was definitely a
traumatic experience.

But the important thing
is Taryn's still here.

And without interventions, shall we say,

I'm not sure that that
she would have been.

He saved my life.

I'm not sure how, but
yeah, he saved my life.

- Taryn had actually
started to get a few signs

about this last year, you know.

A couple of strange
things had been happening,

but then when the photo
turned up, I mean God,

to anyone else that they might consider

that to be absolutely
unbelievable, but to me

it all started to make sense.

Yeah, so I was given a photograph.

It was genuine.

It's, it's this picture of Maria Gonella,

she's this Italian immigrant,
and she lived in Malibu

and San Francisco, California.

Of course at the time,
Malibu was this estate

and she was a worker on it
and she had this little girl.

And together, they watched
the Cliff House Hotel

burn down to the ground.

- The photograph, it's
Taryn, no questions.

But the thing about the picture is

that there's much more to
it because she died young.

Maria, the woman in the photograph,

she died of kidney failure.

You see a few months after
being given that photograph,

I went to see Dale's
show at Christmas time

and he was trying to
find me after the show,

but I disappeared into the crowd and.

Yeah, I'd gone looking for her.

I mean, that was the first time

I'd seen Taryn since university.

And obviously "The Life I Only
Knew" is a show I promote.

- So on the night, Paul Seville
picks me out of the crowd

and he says that he senses
the I'm the reincarnation

of Jean Harlow.

And the girl on stage playing Jean Harlow

is Dorothy Millette and Dale
is Jean's husband, Paul Bern.

And then, and then he
backtracks and apologises

and he says that they're
following a script and it's wrong

because tonight Maria doesn't want me

to make the same mistakes that she made.

Paul, he'd never, ever gone off script

like that before never, ever, no way.

And it certainly took some time

to get the show back together.

We did, but we were all
really quite thrown.

And Paul was insistent, Maria was someone

who'd come to him in the past year or so,

and he said that she had a message

for the girl in the purple coat.

So me being me, I just dismissed it.

And then two months later,
I was in the restaurant

and I was assaulted by a girl,
dressed up as Jean Harlow.

And then that was the night
that, that it happened.

- [Woman] One of our
guests has been assaulted

and another elderly member

of the party's had a heart attack.

We need police and ambulance right away.

Tell me about the heart attack victim.

- [Woman] Late 60s,
seems to be in relatively

good health otherwise.

And who's been assaulted?

- [Woman] A girl, mid 20s,
she's got cut to her head.

She's bleeding.

Is she bleeding badly?

- [Woman] She's shaken
but she's under control.

- Okay, so the heart attack
victim, what's her name?

(woman yells)

Is that the assault victim?

- [Woman] Yes, she's
a regular client here.

We don't know why the
waitress attacked her.

What's the waitress name?

- [Woman] I suspect she's
given us false details,

but Naomi Michael is what we have on file.

Okay, help is on its way.

Tell me about the Nan.

[Woman] She's sitting upright.

She looks better than she did

and her family are around her.

- Okay, and the assault
victim, what's her name?

- [Woman] Isabel Benham,
but you might know her

as Taryn Spring, she's a model.

So, how is Taryn Spring.

[Woman] Quite upset, but still bleeding.

- I knew nothing about
the assault on Taryn.

Obviously, I tried to
find her at Christmas,

you know, I'd lost her.

I honestly, I never thought
I would see her again.

On the night of February 7th,

I had no idea what was gonna unfold.

Looking back, it was a
pretty traumatic experience

for both of us.

I don't really remember a
great deal of it to be honest,

not much after the restaurant.

I've gotta be blunt here,

I'm kind of in the same
situation as Taryn,

when it comes to remembering
exactly what went on,

exactly what happened.

- I genuinely had no idea
I was gonna get shot at.

Please, anyone, don't shoot at me again.

I just dismissed it as a genuine threat.

And ironically, it was my
arrogance that saved my life.

I was just locked in the studio.

For Dale, I think it might
have been a lot more traumatic,

but I didn't want to
acknowledge who he was.

I never did not once.

And to this day I still don't
believe he was next door.

I believe that they mocked
up my dressing room.

He wasn't there.

So, they find Taryn on a beach.

They find me pistol whipped
outside a nightclub.

- I came round on the
beach, but I wasn't there.

I was somewhere else.

I hurt.

- Do I get through this?
- Yes.

Yes, you do.

[Taryn] What about you?

- Well, I can't tell
you the answer to that.

You see, I've been regressed for so long.

left over from this night

that none of us can explain.

I've seen the footage.

It looks like the actress I
know as Jacqueline Reynolds

who plays Jean Harlow in my
show, "The Life I Only Knew."

Yeah, to me, that footage it's Jackie,

[Taryn] What about Jackie?

[Paul] Who is Jackie?

It looks like Jackie.

I knew she did other stuff.

I didn't realise she was in Dale's show,

but we can't work out how
she's got in those shots.

Now let's not forget the horrible twist

amongst all this Taryn's alive, yes,

but there is a missing
persons report out on Jackie.

Well, whoever she was, she was involved

in something much bigger.
