Your Excellencies, please take great care this does not get out.

That, you don't have to worry about.

How do you feel with the "big event" coming up?

I've been keeping myself alive to kill Sooyang.

In order to make this event successful, I will give even my own life.

Your Highness, Officer Shin has come.

Hide quickly!

Why did you come here?

With Teacher, I have come to see Princess Kyung Hye.

Are you in charge of the princess's lessons?

That is so.

I'm here because I have something to say to you, Jong.

I'm not afraid to hear anything.

Didn't I entreat you not to see Jong again?

A student seeking out his teacher is a natural thing just like breathing or eating.

Why are you forbidding even that?

It's a different question if the teacher and student are plotting treason.

Myun!

Stop this and get out.

I won't ask you again to recognize my true friendship. However, for the time being, restrain from taking any action.

That is, if you want to live.

This is the last advice I can give you.

Having to question the advice from someone who was once my friend...

What in the world can be more dismaying than this?

I feel stifled locked in here.

What on earth are you planning?

Don't try to find out.

Nothing good will come out of it.

Does it, by any chance, have to do with my father?

Why are you trying to do something so dangerous?

I wished that you would forget everything and leave with your sister-in-law and Ah Kang.

Do you think I can forget even if I try?

I will leave when I have finished what I must do. Don't take interest in my affairs any longer.

Where is the princess?

She is in my room. She said she had a headache, so she is resting.

Even if you kill my father, will your heart really find peace?

Are you the Dae Ho, Teacher?

Every night, unable to sleep, I thought about it.

Whether you truly felt at ease as you were taking away their lives...

Whether you were really thrilled...?

Questioning why you had turned into this, whether you were not saddened and pained...

Do not think that you know all about me.

After killing all of them, including the root of all evil (= Sooyang), my heart will regain peace.

Teacher.

Your Highness Princess, are you inside?

Let's go back now.

Your Highness, are you asleep?

Stay here. He will leave only when I go outside.

Your Highness, why are you acting so absentminded? Officer Shin is worried.

The princess did?

She probably heard all that Seung Yoo said. If she heard that this event must be successful, don't you think she connected the dots and thought of Sooyang?

That will not happen.

She did not tell anyone that I was the kidnapper.

Since she must not know our detailed plans, it is not something to be too concerned about.

Unlike her father, she is trustworthy.

Even though her natural character is flawless, after all, this has to do with killing her own father.

When it comes to one's own flesh and blood, I don't think we can jump to conclusions so easily.

You're coming back now?

Your father has lost a big joy in life.

You, who used not to leave my lap when you were small, now do not even glance at me.

Father.

Your calling me Father sounds so affectionate today.

Do you have something to say to your father?

No... no, I don't.

Go inside and rest.

Se Ryung!

I feel that you're too good for whomever it may be.

I've been keeping myself alive to kill Sooyang.

In order to make this event successful, I will give even my own life.

Even if you kill my father,

will your heart really find peace?

Uncle!

Ah Kang!

What's with your face?

Ah Kang made these?

Yes.

She must learn at least the letters.

For making the child stay at a place like this...

I am sorry, Sister-in-Law.

No.

Even though they appear harsh, they are all really kind to us.

Following Father's wish, I will help in reinstating His Majesty to the throne.

Of course you should.

Do not worry about us, but follow the righteous path all you wish.

Brother-in-Law, is something the matter?

Even if one's father is a brutal and terrible person,

one won't be able to forgive the killer of that father, don't you think?

So,

did you find out something?

I'm sorry.

They take so much precaution and meet up in secrecy...

Since they were whispering, I couldn't hear well.

However, I have heard clearly Kwang Yeon Jung*.

Kwang Yeon Jung?

At the moment the opening music for the banquet starts...

we will set our "big event" in motion.

As soon as the music starts,

if Your Excellency Yoo slay Sooyang,

I will lead the soldiers into the palace and

eliminate the rest of Sooyang's gang.

If we reinstate the King Former

before the Ming ambassadors, everything will go back to the way it should be.

With the exception of Sooyang and his villainous retainers,

we must not shed unnecessary blood.

How did you first meet Her Royal Highness?

Your relationship didn't seem an ordinary sort.

By any chance, were you two in love?

No.

I heard that she declared that

she would not marry anyone all her life.

Why are you so agitated?

The reason she is like that...

Is that because of you?

You lied to me.

If Her Highness and you were in love,

tomorrow's event... isn't it too cruel for you?

Even if you kill Sooyang,

how will you shoulder that burden all your life?

She no longer

has any connection to me.

Between you and her father, her heart that must be in hell...

have you considered it?

How about you stop right here?

What on earth

should I do?

Your Highness, there is a message from Princess Kyung Hye's household.

She must be seriously ill. She wants to see you as soon as possible.

Your Highness Queen, princess...

Mother, it's Se Ryung.

Tell her to come in.

I will go pay a brief visit to Princess Kyung Hye.

At this late hour?

No.

How can you leave the palace so frequently at your will?

It seems as though she is very ill.

Even if you're doing this for others' eyes,

you're visiting Princess Kyung Hye too often nowadays.

Do you feel so stifled inside the palace?

I understand, hurry and come back soon.

Yes, Mother.

You are here.

Hearing that you are ill, I came running.

Are you okay?

Have you, by any chance, revealed everything to your father?

Did you summon me because you wanted to know that?

The person who wants to see you is not me.

Then, who is it?

Just as I cannot forget about my father's death,

your father's death too will remain a resentment piercing your heart.

I know the bone deep sorrow one feels at losing one's flesh and blood.

So I worry immensely about what you will go through.

However,

Your father will die by my hands.

Even if he is called a great king in the future,

the throne that was gotten by spilling blood...

how can that be truly for the sake of the people?

So, do not

think of me any longer.

To tell me that,

did you call me?

Once you asked me whether I would hate to see my father die

even though he was such a horrible person.

My father who takes away innocent people's lives...

I had thought that it would be better

if I did not have such a father.

But

thinking that I may soon lose my father...

If I am to save you, my father dies.

If I am to save my father, you die, Teacher.

What on earth am I to do?

Because of your father, I was deeply wounded.

But because of you, that wound was, for a short while, healed.

For that, I'm truly thankful to you.

Please...

Please just leave with me.

Let's go to a deserted place

and live together.

Subtitles brought to you by The Princess' Man Team at viki.com.

Anywhere

will be under Sooyang's sky.

Oppa, you are a new face.

You're cute.

Welcome.

Bing Ock Kwan is the best in this neighborhood.

Tomorrow, either Sooyang will die

or we will die. It will be one of the two.

Will you be okay?

About what?

With that woman...

If you're going to joke around, leave now.

Seung Yoo, if...

That is, just in case...

If you survive, but I don't,

my princess...

you must protect her like you're me.

Don't say such a thing.

Outside she acts tough.

But inside, she is so fragile.

Since she underwent so many hardships,

how many scars there must be in her heart...

My heart

aches for her so much.

You're returning now.

How come you are here...?

I thought you were asleep.

Worried about tomorrow's event, are you not able to sleep?

No matter what, I will safeguard His Majesty. Please be at ease.

Of what might happen tomorrow...

Aren't you afraid?

Since I'm a man, I want to be ballsy and say I am not afraid.

But in fact,

a little bit of fear, I feel that.

I am afraid as well.

Lest the person who has always been by my side

may not be able to return...

Lest I might not be able to see again the person

who's understood my heart better than myself...

I am afraid

and afraid.

Your Highness...

If that person is not by my side now,

I won't be able to endure it.

Please come back to me alive,

My Husband.

Subtitles brought to you by The Princess' Man team @ viki.com.

Put these on my finger for me,

My Husband.

Please come back safely.

Why don't you just

run away with that woman?

Run away to somewhere

and forget about everything

and live sharing your bed with her,

having babies with her...

Please...

Please just leave with me.

Let's go to a deserted place

and live together.

Father,

please help us.

Wow,

our Ah Kang is a great calligrapher, just great.

What is a great calligrapher?

Is that someone's name?

It means she draws well, you ignorant girl!

Sheesh, how can you to my So Eng...

Hey, smart women only give you headaches.

As long as she is ample in this department

and this department, that's all that matters.

You don't qualify at all in any area.

This jerk!

Ahhh, it hurts, hurts...

You're just begging to be beaten, aren't you?

Day in and day out, singing about alcohol, food and women...

Uh huh, silence...

The child is working on something important.

Hyung, what is with your face?!

Oppa!

Don't be like this any longer.

How can Oppa do this... to me...?

Hey, I'm telling you, he toyed with you.

Just looking at him, you can tell he's a cold man.

Forget him, forget him.

Uncle!

You definitely have to come back. You cannot go leaving Ah Kang behind.

Uncle...

I will definitely come back.

It looks as though you're going to wage a proper war.

Don't even think about saddling me with your sister-in-law and niece.

Since you have people to protect, come back right away.

I will...

older brother.

The next hundred years of the royal family and government

depend on us.

Let us rectify the history that's been briefly on a wrong path

and fight for the great cause.

Today will be Sooyang's last.

You go and escort His Majesty (to the banquet).

Yes.

How about Seung Yoo?

He's all ready outside the palace.

When you hear the music,

you will use the low wall on the left side

and infiltrate the palace.

Today, His Majesty will hold a banquet for the Ming ambassadors.

It's an important day that must pass without any problem inside or outside the palace.

All of you, don't do anything foolish or rash, but pass today quietly.

Yes.

In particular, Se Ryung, don't even go to Princess Kyung Hye's house.

Thinking that you are not adapting to

the palace life well, His Majesty is very concerned.

Why don't you answer me?

I will do as I'm told.

Today, His Majesty will hold a banquet for the Ming ambassadors.

In order to make this event successful,

I will give even my own life.

Why are you like that, Your Highness?

I have something to ask Princess Kyung Hye.

What are you talking about? The Queen said you are not to go outside no matter what.

The number of Hansung Bureau soldiers guarding insideand outside the palace has also increased three- or four-fold.

If today goes by without a hitch.

You will get Ming Emperor's validation

and confirm that you're indeed

the sovereign of this nation Joseon.

Congratulations, Your Majesty.

Subtitles brought to you by Princess'Man team at Viki.com

I will firmly keep your side, Your Majesty.

Do not worry about anything.

Your Majesty, did you sleep well?

Yes, Uncle.

At today's banquet,

to the Ming ambassadors,

we will have to show as much as possible that Joseon's royal family is one big happy family.

I guess you should.

What is it?

I'm Lady-in-Waiting Yeo Ri at the princess's quarters.

Where are you going?

I have to run an errand to Princess Kyung Hye's house.

Did you call me?

Drag out the woonkum*.

His Majesty is coming!

What is it, Royal Secretary Han?

At this banquet,

woonkums will not be necessary.

What do you mean no woonkums?!

It's His Majesty's decision

to greet the Ming ambassadors

without such formalities.

Didn't I make it clear that it's the king's order?!

Hurry and escort His Excellency Yoo Eung Bu

to outside the banquet hall.

I will escort you.

I think Han Myung Hoe got a whiff of something.

We'll have to call it off for today.

What happened? How did they find out?!

Don't act so nervously!

They may suspect us even more from your facial expressions.

Heaven has not helped us today.

We have to wait for another day.

Quickly slip out the palace

and inform the soldiers that the "big event" has been pushed off.

Quickly!

Hurry up already!

Yes.

The banquet will start soon.

Oh, I see...

Where are you going in such a hurry?

What do you mean

I'm going somewhere...

The way you look so startled...

It's very suspicious...

I guess outside the palace

some urgent matter is waiting for you?

W wh what are you talking about?!

To you!

I'm giving you the last chance to save your life!!!

Where on earth has the princess gone?

I am asking you where she went!

Go back.

Tell me.

What are you planning to do at today's banquet?

It is too late already.

It must have started already.

To make an attempt at my father's life...?

You know how it is.

That person...

Where is he?

If his identity is revealed,

he will not be able to get away safely.

Leading some soldiers,

he will go into the palace.

Do not go there!

In any event, your father and Kim Seung Yoo

cannot live under the same sky.

What has happened...

I must see with my own eyes.

I can't just sit still and watch

what's going to happen to him and me.

I have told the Ming ambassadors

that the banquet will start a little bit later

and asked for their understanding.

Round them up!

YES!

Let me go, you scoundrels!

Let me go, you scoundrels!

What are you doing, you scoundrels!

What on earth are you doing?!

What are you doing?!

Unhand me, you scoundrels!

What is going on?

You scoundrels, won't you take your hands off me?!

You scoundrels!

Let go of me, you scoundrels!

Kim Jil, you rat!

You should be beaten to death!

This rascal!

Ptooey!

Where are you going, Your Royal Highness?

Your Highness! Your Highness!

There shouldn't be so many guards at the banquet!

I simply know that he holds frightening grudges.

Why are you covering for him so much?

What is your identity?

Are you perhap...?

No matter what, I will

discover your identity today.

Attack!

Before the Ming ambassadors,

they tried to assassinate me, who's the sovereign of this nation.

Truly, even beating them to death would be too kind for them, don't you think so, Your Majesty?

I'm going to bring to light every single one of the accomplices behind this.

Before the ambassadors,

refrain from doing or saying anything rash.

Start the banquet!

Subtitled by the awe-ful vassals of The Princess' Man@viki.com.

Dae Ho,

show your face!

At this rate, we're going to lose all soldiers.

We must retreat, quickly!

Retreat!

Catch them!

Disperse and meet up at the assembly place.

Yea.

Didn't you, by any chance, see Dae Ho?

Dae Ho?

Nobody came this way.

He will for sure come to see them.

Who are you talking about?

How can you show your face here?

Watching your Teacher being dragged away,

are you here to repent?

Don't delude yourself!

I'm here because I have something to ask you.

Who is Dae Ho?

Dae Ho, you said?

Why are you asking me that question?

Dae Ho also made a move today along with your bunch.

There is no way that you do not know about him!

Who is it?

Is it Kim Seung Yoo?

S... s... Seung Yoo?

Seung Yoo is dead.

Are you going to insult even a deceased friend?

Whether he's really dead

or not will be discovered soon enough.

If he is Kim Seung Yoo,

he will certainly come back to look after you.

I said no, why are you keeping up this foolishness?!

Drag away the criminals!

Yes!

How come there is no news?

Your Highness!

The royal consort...

the royal consort was... arrested.

Then,

how about His Majesty the King Former?

This won't do.

I'll go and see myself!

Teacher,

what if Seung Yoo comes?

What if he gets caught by Myun?

No,

he must not be caught!

I am sorry.

That's okay.

What happened?

I don't think things worked out.

I've heard that

the royal consort was caught.

Is that true?

Get out of the way!

You must not be caught!

Stay here for now.

My Husband!

Step back!

How insolent!

She is Her Highness, the Princess.

Myun is here.

Tell Seung Yoo to hurry and hide.

Do not look around!

Tell Seung Yoo not to come forward hastily

but to make plans to deal with the aftermath.

Please wait

at home.

Find him!

Yes.

Seung Yoo!

I know for a fact that you are Kim Seung Yoo.

How much longer are you going to hide behind your father?

Don't run away like a coward

but reveal your identity!
