Dr. Buckingham at your appointment.

>> Liam: Yeah. [ Sighs ] >> Hope: But neither could

answer the questions we had.

I mean, Dr. Lin and Dr. Buckingham, they could

explain what happened to Beth, but neither could explain why.

[ Knock on door ] >> Ridge: Hey.

I heard you were back.

>> Brooke: Is everything all right?

>> Ridge: [ Clears throat ] Yeah. I, um...

I have some news about Steffy and the adoption.

>> Steffy: Were gonna go home soon, Phoebe.

[ Exclaims ] You just keep getting cuter and

cuter, dont you?

>> Flo: She looks so natural in your arms already.

>> Steffy: I can give you some time with her.

>> Flo: No.

It really does make me feel better to see her with you.

Knowing what kind of life youre gonna give her, with everything

she could ever want.

Shes gonna grow up with a sister, and a mom who loves her

just as much as her birth mother would.

Thats why I was able to do this.

Thats why I was able to sign the papers.

>> Reese: Steffy must be overjoyed.

>> Taylor: Oh, yes.

[ Chuckles ] Absolutely.

She called me the minute they signed those

adoption papers.

I think Carters filing it right now.

So we just have this one last detail to take care of.

>> Reese: The rest of the money.

>> Taylor: Yeah, but -- But first, I just -- [ Sighs ]

I cant thank you enough for facilitating all of this,

and I just want you to know, you and Florence have done

such a beautiful thing for this adorable little baby,

and for my daughter.

>> Reese: It means a lot to me to hear you say that.

>> Taylor: Thanks to you, Kellys going to get her sister,

and Im going to get another adorable grandchild.

[ Giggles ] >> Reese: Thats what this is

process, and Steffy can take Phoebe home.

Oh! That little girl is going to have such an amazing life.

>> Reese: Thats quite a relief to me and Florence.

>> Taylor: Well, I know youre not going to be in Los Angeles

too much longer, and I really do want to spend more time with

you, but I also want to get back to the house before Steffy does,

if you dont mind.

>> Reese: Of course.

Steffys talking about adoption.

[ Cellphone chimes ] >> Steffy: Is everything okay?

>> Flo: Your mom transferred the money.

>> Steffy: So, I -- I guess thats it.

>> Flo: I guess so.

>> Steffy: Florence, I cant imagine what youre going

through. This has to be one of the hardest things

youve ever had to do.

>> Flo: It -- it definitely is.

>> Steffy: I understand if you have moments of doubt.

But I promise you, Im gonna love Phoebe.

I already do.

Shes gonna be safe and happy with Kelly and me.

You dont have to worry.

You dont have to worry.

Im gonna give her everything you could ever want.

>> Flo: All I really want for her is -- is to be all right.

>> Steffy: I give you my word.

Im gonna take good care of her.

Besides, the good doctor knows that there are dire consequences

to pay if he shorts me.

>> Reese: I met my obligations.

my daughter.

>> Hope: So, Kelly has a sister.

>> Brooke: Oh, sweetheart.

I still cant believe all of this.

>> Liam: I-I dont think Steffy realized it would happen

this quickly.

I thought you should hear it from family.

I know Taylors happy that she could do this for Steffy, and

shes waiting at the house [Sighs] ready to welcome her

granddaughter.

Youre gonna be so happy here.

Yeah, she says she knows shes gonna have

a good life, and a mother who would love her just as much as

a birth mother would have.

Im just still blown away.

This all happened so quickly.

After what happened to Beth, I didnt think it was gonna

happen.

I didnt know how Hope or Liam would react.

Their little girl was supposed to be Kellys sister.

You know, Steffy and I were working to build a blended

family together, and we wanted our daughters to

feel like sisters, so...

celebrate.

You know, Steffy is giving a loving home to a child who needs

one, and shes gonna have a sister, and caring grandparents.

>> Ridge: And seeing Steffy like this, I know it cant be easy

for you.

I wouldnt wish this pain on anyone.

But I will not begrudge Steffy one ounce of joy

that shes feeling today.

Yeah, I cant be a mother to my daughter, but I can at least

find some peace in knowing that a sweet, innocent little child

has found someone to be a wonderful, loving mother.

>> Steffy: Kelly still sleeping?

>> Taylor: Yeah.

Put this one on Phoebes crib.

>> Steffy: Oh, its perfect.

I love that theyre gonna grow up together sharing a room,

just like Phoebe and I did.

Going under the covers with a flashlight, telling secrets.

I just used to love standing outside of your bedroom door,

and just listening to you two little girls giggle.

[ Chuckles ] Youre giving them such a

wonderful gift.

Just such a lifetime of memories.

>> Steffy: I feel like Ive been given a gift.

And I love her so much, Mom.

[ Knock on door ] >> Steffy: Oh.

I wanted to give Kelly a sister from the moment she was born.

that you love her.

chance to grow up together.
