Melvin Junko, a mop-wielding
healthclub janitor,

a scrawny, skinny, weakling,
wimp of a nerd

fell into a misplaced barrel of
toxic chemical waste.

Melvin was suddenly transformed into
a hideously deformed creature

of super-human size and strength.

He became the Toxic Avenger,

the first super-hero
from New Jersey.

The Toxic Avenger, or Toxie,
as he is affectionately called,

went on to crush crime,

beat corruption

and blast chemical waste in his
hometown of Tromaville.

After cleaning-up Tromaville,

in 1988, the Toxic Avenger rose

from beneath
the rubble of retirement

to challenge the evil chairman
of Apocalypse Incorporated.

Toxie's awesome adventure to abolish
the abominable Apocalypse

took him on an outrageous
odyssey to Japan,

where Toxie continued
to crush crime.

In Japan, Toxie learned the spiritual
disciplines of Sumo wrestling.

And the power, beauty
and grace of Sumo

made him better able
to rip bad people's heads off.
