We'd have five trucks running
after this color green,

and we never caught nothing.

those lights,

and what are we looking at?

We saw the arm come out.

- The next day, the team meets
with a local rancher

named Kevin, who they believe
may be able

to help them make a connection

between the mysterious orbs
being spotted...

- I noticed these orbs.

- I tracked them lights for nine
years, man.

Luminescent, like night vision
green.

- And the livestock that has
gone missing.

- I had five cows go missing.

- He's missing four more head.

Just gone.

- How are you, sir? - Kevin
Williams.

- Today we're meeting with
another rancher.

He's had a couple cows
disappear, sounds like.

Jeff. - Jeff, good to meet you.

Good to meet you. - My pleasure.

There's even rumors of some
lights,

so we dang sure wanna talk to
him.

- We've been seeing a bunch of
wild [bleep]

since we've been here-- lights
up on these mountains.

Whoa! Hey! [horse whinnies]

Jesus.

There's lights up in the skies.

There's been people seeing it.

- Damn.

- We heard that you might have
seen some orbs

somewhere around your cattle out
here on the ranch.

And that's why we wanted

to come out here and visit with
you.

- Yeah. We did have a--

we had quite a--

quite a hair-raising experience,

at least for my wife and I.

We run about a hundred pair,

25 mamas to a bull.

And this little herd, they're
not coming up

to the bunk.

They're not coming up to feed.

And I come out, and I did a head
count,

and we're missing one cow.

And I went to looking at the
fence,

but our fence is tight.

And no sign of track or nothing,
you know.

- And it just disappeared?

- Gone.

Couple of weeks go by,

and probably somewhere around
midnight,

the bull started bellowing.

So I come out, guys, and this is
where it got weird.

I seen what looked like

somebody was spotlighting in the
woods,

you know, just a little glimmer
of light

shining through the trees.

I don't know what it was. I
don't know what it was.

Today, I don't know what it was.

But just a small, small flicker
light going

through the trees, and then it
got more prominent

and it started gaining altitude.

About when it got to that fence
line--

now I know you're not gonna
believe me,

but I'm telling you the truth--

a freakin' light emitted out of
the bottom of that thing.

[dramatic music]

It shined right down on the
ground.

It started working this pasture
like a grid,

going back and forth, back and
forth like that.

- To me, this doesn't sound like
a search.

It sounds like they're hunting

for something specific on this
pasture.

- And it ended up hovering over
a mama cow and a calf.

- Ah, [bleep]. - And with that
light shining

on her, you could see the white
of her eyes.

When I seen the light coming
from over there,

I got out my video camera.

- You was able to get film of
it?

- I did. I'd love to show you
guys.

- No [bleep]. - Proof's in the
pudding, boys.

- Let's break that pudding out.

- The team then looks at video

that Kevin captured of the
unexplained searchlight.

- You can tell I'm just shaking
like a damn leaf.

it's like a orb, like a globe.

- Yeah. - That's unreal.

- You see? That's it right
there.

That's the moonbeam.

You see it going back and forth?

It looks like it's moving-- -
Grid-like.

[cows bellowing]

- You see it go over the cow
right there?

- This thing starts grid lining
his pasture.

It's got a beam of light that
comes out of a orb,

and it hovers right over the top
of one of his cows.

Now why is it doing that on his
ranch?

- Unidentified flying objects in
the shape of orbs

is a phenomena dating back to
World War II.

[plane buzzing]

In 1943, fiery red orbs were
seen in the skies

over both the European and the
Pacific theaters.

Some airmen claim that the
objects appeared

as glowing balls of light

or as fast-moving,

unidentified aircraft.

Nicknamed foo fighters,

these objects appeared so
frequently

that they sparked concern among
military leaders,

who were unable to explain their
origin.

The mystery of the foo fighters
remains

unsolved to this day.

- And I told you we had one cow
already missing suspiciously.

We come back out, and now we got
two cows missing.

Same thing--no penetration
through the fence,

something going on

with these cows around this

odd going on here.

In my mind, all these missing
cows,

they're damn sure tied together.

- By God, we're gonna look into
this

and hopefully find an answer.

- Jeff's past history on the
buffalo ranch

has him believing that it's only
a matter of time

until the missing livestock
start showing up mutilated.

After receiving a lead from
Kevin...

- Proof's in the pudding, boys.

- The team meets with his
neighbor, Dan...

- Dan. - How you doing?

- Who claims the mutilations
have already begun.

[eerie music]

- Dan, we understand you had an
incident out here,

and we're hoping you'd share
that with us.

- Well, one evening,

all my cows were making a little
ruckus,

and I finally got up and went on
out there.

I got to looking around, and I
finally realized

I had a dead cow in my stall--

inside the barn.

- They got her down and stomped
around on her?

- What was left of her was
definitely down.

- What do you mean, "what was
left"?

- Well, probably wasn't half of
her left.

I mean, she was diced up.

- Damn, she had been cut on?

- She'd been cut-- it looked cut
on, but--

- Was there blood everywhere
then, Dan?

- No, sir.

And that's-- that's what
confuses me,

'cause, you know, I've butchered
a lot of cows,

and I can't do it without making
'em bleed.

- Sounds like what you saw,
don't it?

- That's the mutilation.

- Jeff then shares his history
with mutilations

on the buffalo ranch from 30
years ago.

- I had a nine-year history back
in the '90s

on a buffalo ranch.

All summer for nine years,
mutilated buffalo.

The uterus was always removed on
the cows.

If they were packing a calf,

they'd pull that fetus out and
paint symbols on it.

And they always took a chunk of
the diaphragm.

They always took a piece of the
tongue.

And in the bulls case, they'd
take that tongue

that far down into the throat.

- Jeff's experience with
mutilations is not

as uncommon as many would think.

Colorado has reported

thousands of statewide
mutilations

dating back decades.

The most infamous mutilation
occurred in Alamosa,

just 120 miles east of Dan's
ranch,

where a horse was found dead and
partially skinned

with several of her organs
removed

through impossibly precise
incisions.

Speculation that the mutilation
was caused

by an alien encounter exploded

when Superior Court Judge
Charles E. Bennett of Denver

claimed he had witnessed three
reddish-orange rings

in the sky on the same day and
in the same area

where the mutilation took place.

The Colorado Bureau of
Investigations confirmed

the mutilation, but the cause is
still a mystery.

- What'd you end up doing with
that body?

- Well, that scared the hell out
of me,

so I took her and buried her as
far away from me as I could.

Took her back there in that
little holler

with them trees back there.

Buried her as deep as I could
bury her.

- Dan then makes a revelation
about what has happened to him

since he handled the mutilated
cow carcass.

- But I don't have a very big
backhoe,

so, you know, I had to touch her
a little bit

to get her in the bucket.

Ever since then, I've been
getting worse and worse.

I've been sick. I've been
getting really sick.

- Is that right? - Yes, sir.

- I took her and buried her

as far away from me as I could.

You know, I had to touch her a

- Dan then makes a revelation

about what has happened to him

since he handled the mutilated
cow carcass.

- Ever since then, I've been
getting worse and worse.

I've been sick. I've been
getting really sick.

- I'll be damned. - I didn't
have

any health problems prior to
that.

- Have the doctors been able to
tell you anything about it?

- No. - Or they got a diagnosis?

- No. I've been just to damn any
doctors.

Now I don't-- I ain't going
back.

They can't tell me what's wrong.

They haven't been able to tell
me anything.

- Parker then provides more
evidence that handling

mutilated animal carcasses can
cause sickness in humans.

- There was a case, early 2000s,

Lake County, Oregon, and this
rancher,

he kind of had the same
situation.

He had a mutilated cow.

He didn't know anything about
it.

After he handled the cow,

his health started declining.

I mean, basically what it sounds
like to me,

the same thing you're telling
us, Dan.

- Right. - They kind of just
tracked it

back to maybe him messing with
that cow that day.

- Oh, [bleep].

- You know, I'm pretty disturbed

that old Dan got so sick after
handling that dead cow.

Very concerning.

- At nightfall, Jeff receives a
call from Rancher Kevin

asking the team to come over to
his property.

- Here I thought I had the night
off.

But we got a hot lead tonight.

- Appreciate you all coming back
out again.

- That local rancher, Kevin,

he called and he sounded a bit
frantic,

so we're gonna get over there
right quick.

- My neighbor's been seeing that
light again,

back yonder over there in that
same tree line.

- Oh, my God. - Look at that.

- Parker, I can't lose another
cow.

I wanna hunker down in that same
spot I was,

and I wanna find out what the
hell's going on here.

- You two guys wanna hop in with
him and head down there?

- Absolutely.

- Let's roll, man. Thank you,
Jeff.

- As Parker and Josh head off
with Kevin,

Jeff fills in the rest of the
team as they arrive.

- What's going on?

- Kevin just pulled out.

His neighbor called earlier.

They've been seeing flickering
lights in that tree line.

- Again? - Again.

Same place-- [bull bellows]

- Oh.

- Is that that bull bellering
down there?

[bellowing continues] - Damn
sure is.

- I ain't hear that over the
truck.

- Remember he said that bull
bellered all night

that night that cow got killed.

- Probably somewhere around
midnight,

the bull started bellowing.

- Well, if you guys wanna run up
to that tree line,

Ora, you and I, we're gonna go
camp on them cows.

- Okay. - 10-4.

- Ora and I are gonna jump in
the side-by-side.

We're gonna go out and camp on
that cow herd.

Here we go again.

The other two boys, they're
gonna get in that timber

where the orb was at.

Time to get this plan rolling.

[dramatic music]

- I wanna lay eyes on this son
of a bitch.

- Kaleb and Hadley head into the
timber

on Kevin's property.

- That's where the timberline
started.

- There it is, right there.

- We just got up to this dark
timber.

This is where Kevin thought

the orb came up the night that
he saw it.

- And I looked back over here
through the trees.

I seen a small, flickering
light.

- Oh, my God. - Look at that.

- We're gonna get in here and do
a little kicking around

of our own, see if we can't
figure out

where these lights are at.

I think the best thing we could
do is come here

and see if we can't figure out
where the hell it come from,

maybe see if it didn't leave any
kind of a burn mark.

- Yeah, it's getting thick.

You hear it? [unidentified
buzzing]

- Yeah. - You hear that?

[buzzing continues] - Sounds
like a plane.

- My God, it is a plane.

He's flying low, ain't he?

- He's close.

- Why is there a prop plane
flying

this low over the top of us?

- Behind it, hell, he sounds
like he's on top of it.

- It's dangerous to be flying
that low to the trees.

There's powerlines out here.

- It's almost like he's fading
this way.

- Something's not right about
this.

- Come on. - He is right there.

Damn wind's playing with me.

[dramatic music]

- Man, I appreciate y'all coming
out.

- Parker and Josh head over to
where Kevin was located

the night he got footage of the
mysterious orb.

- I was under these trees. I was
filming

through them limbs like that.

[bull bellows] And, uh--

[bellowing continues]

- Is that your bull?

- That is my bull. Listen to
him.

- Do they normally make a sound
like that?

- No. - A lot of times, bulls
will

be bawling like this and walking
the fence

whenever there's another bull
that they wanna fight,

just like animals do in the
wild.

But there's no other bull around
here.

Why has he left the cows? - I
don't know.

as Jeff and Ora head out to
Kevin's cattle.

- Looks like bovine to me. [cows
bellowing]

God dang, what are they running
for, Jeff?

- This bunch of mama cows and
calves,

something's got them bothered
something terrible.

- They shouldn't be running like
that.

- Last time that orb was flying
around,

they were bawling and the bull
was bellering.

[cows bellowing]

There's no doubt in my mind
they're tied together.

There they are, Jeff. Look at
'em.

- Oh, yeah.

- Are they coming running?

- Jeff? - Yeah, they are.

- They are coming to us.

deep timber.

edge of that tree line.
