New
developments involving the Zodiac Killer,

and unravelling
what's known as a 340-cipher.

Though
the murders remain unsolved,

one of the codes
has finally been cracked.

On December 11th, 2020,

the 340-cipher
had been cracked.

It was a coded
340 character message

sent to
the San Francisco Chronicle.

The 340 cipher was
sent in 51 years ago,

and this is the one
that nobody could figure out.

It has puzzled authorities

since the Zodiac Killer
sent this to the Chronicle in 1969.

They remain encrypted until now, 51 years later,

cracked by a group
of amateur code breakers.

According to code-breaking expert, David Oranchak,

the cipher's text includes
this message.

It says...

"...all the sooner,

"because I now have
enough slaves to work for me."

God!
This really sounds like Jim.

"It will send me to paradise
all the sooner

"because I now have
enough slaves to work for me."

Jim always wanted
a collection of women

who were gonna, like,
do stuff for him.

Like, he made my grandma
do everything.

You don't even
have to get up.

You know, he would say,
"Woman are nothing but slaves to me. That's it."

It sounds more than
a little far-fetched

to even suggest
that Jim could've been

the most infamous
unsolved serial killer of all time.

But he was a bully,
he was a rapist,

he was a manipulator,
he was a monster with a lot of secrets.

And the fact is,
that all of that has brought us here.

If he was looking for
a place where striking would scare people...

this would be a great
place to pick.

The Zodiac was so bold,

that he killed his fourth
victim, a cab driver,

right in the city
of San Francisco.

So we're walking up
right now onto the Paul Stine murder location.

Tell me what
you know happened that night.

We do know that at a certain point the cab was parked,

and it seems that
that might've been where

the killer shot Paul Stine
in the head.

Witnesses said they saw him
walk up the street.

And he was not running.

- Just casually walking.
- Just casually walking up the street here.

He did not seem suspicious.

He looked like
your average person.

And that helped him
get away with it.

Police initially thought

it was just a routine
robbery of a cab driver that went wrong.

But, two days later,

the San Francisco Chronicle
received a letter from the Zodiac

taking credit for the crime.

And that letter was
accompanied by a piece

of Paul Stine's
blood-stained shirt as proof.

What do you think
about the Santa Rosa hitchhiker murders,

and how some people
connect them to the Zodiac?

You know, the Zodiac
made literally no effort

to interact with the victims
after the attack.

But in the Santa Rosa cases,
we're talking about victims who were dumped,

and things like that.

The Zodiac basically attacked
people and left them where they fell.

- Yeah.
- And there was no sexual component,

no obvious sexual
component to it.

- And his victims were
men and women. - Mm-hmm.

Um, to be honest with you
I don't see any reason

to believe that
they're related at all.

Now I could
be wrong about that.

But to me, it's a completely
different kind of MO.

And I think a completely
different kind of killer.

Mm-hmm.

So we're gonna go
to the Presidio

and I find this specific
area particularly interesting for Jim

because he always,
he lived in Half Moon Bay, which is south of here,

and would often
go to San Francisco.

And he always drove
to the Presidio.

So, for sure,
Jim knew that area well.

So you think
that your grandfather was involved--

I mean, I don't know.

The way that Jim,
my grandfather was...

he was a serial rapist,
um, and...

He has the same
hair color, build, shoe size...

You know, I tend to be
very skeptical when people bring up theories of suspects.

Um, I just, I think my natural
state of being is to be skeptical of everything.

- So...
- Right.

But if your grandfather was
the kind of person who liked inflicting suffering on people

then that shows
a certain mentality.

- Mm-hmm.
- Um...

- Now, like I said,
I'm very skeptical. - Mm-hmm.

So I would like
to seed that connection with solid evidence.

So this is him
in 1968 and 1969.

So he would've been 28,
and he was 5'9.

And he was always around
175 to 196 pounds throughout this.

He was very, like,
stocky-built man.

So when I read this
first initial composite description of the Zodiac,

those are the things
that first clicked. And the short brown hair.

Because he has
kind of a reddish short brown hair.

Yeah, 'cause that's
one of the details that they mentioned.

- The witnesses said
that they saw a red tint. - Mm-hmm.

Okay.

So what is your feeling
about just that?

Well, that is a very
common look for that time.

So it wouldn't be unusual
for you to find somebody who resembles that.

Obviously, you can look
like that sketch,

- and not be the Zodiac.
- Yeah, exactly.

So I started to look at
places he had lived during this time period.

So in 1969,

he was living
in Half Moon Bay, which is south of San Francisco.

He had previous to this
gone to school at U.C. Davis,

which is right here.

So he was very, very
familiar with the Bay area.

And a notorious trait
of Jim's is that

he loved to go for drives
and he would just disappear sometimes.

Like he would just disappear
and come home and say, "Oh, I was on a drive."

You mean, basically
what you're talking about is this area right here.

- Mm-hmm.
- Which encompasses all of the known Zodiac crimes.

- Mmm-hmm.
- Okay.

Also when he died,
we found a knife, that is interesting, I think.

So this is a Ka-Bar 55.

Did he ever use a knife
in his rapes?

Not that I know of. Um...

But he did constantly
threaten the family with...slitting their throats.

That was the big...
thing that he would do is,

I'm gonna slit your throat.

I'm gonna tie you up,
and slit your throat.

- Okay.
- So weird stuff like that.

And another thing, sorry.

In his life...

he liked to have women
that would do stuff for him.

He would be like,
I'm gonna have my wife,

and then I'm gonna
get this other girl.

My wife will be like
my cook, my maid, my whore. That's what he would say.

And then,
I'll have my girlfriend, and she'll be there

And she'll do something else.

So he was like
collecting women.

So when I had read this
slaves thing in his cipher--

I mean, that's like something
that he did in his life.

Like he has these delusions
of having all these women, like, worshipping him,

and taking care of him
in weird ways.

- Again, I don't know.
You know... - Mm.

Yeah, I mean,
it's hard to know what all that means.

Whether or not it's something
that's related to this,

or just because
of his personality.

So I guess my question
for you would be like...

what do-- I mean--

It's complicated, because
I don't really, like, want to--

Sometimes I just
wanna drop it...

I mean, do you think
I should just drop it?

Well, I guess that
depends on the level

of how much you believe
there's something to it.

Because having looked
at the evidence that you've presented here today

and when we were talking,

I don't see much that
would indicate that he was the Zodiac.

Now I can understand
why you would have

some base suspicions
about it to begin with.

But having looked at
what you have, and having talked to you about it,

and then thinking
about your attitude about all of this,

which is, you know,
nobody wants anybody in their family

to turn out to be one
of the worst serial killers in history.

There's a saying that
I've heard before which is...

"A cold case is no substitute
for a warm life."

Mm-hmm.

And I think that's something
to consider here because...

a lot of the people
who think that they're onto something,

even people who are onto it
with even less than this...

you know, they,
they ruin their lives with it.

It dominates their life

and that's not anything
that you want for yourself.

No, but even just
hearing you say,

that there's just not
almost enough, it makes me feel kind of like a...

You know, because,
like you said, who would want this?

And there has been times
when I've been like...

God! Like, could I have
known this person?

And not have
that weight on me.

And I mean, we already
have a lot of weight with the kind of person he was.

Yeah, there's already
enough there to begin with.

To lose that weight...

- You know... Okay.
- Yeah.

Well, that you for sharing it.

And I appreciate the fact
that you consulted me on this

because the fact that
you're willing to listen says a lot about your integrity.

Speaking with
Mike Butterfield really helped me let go

of the whole Zodiac theory.

Yeah, Jim and the Zodiac
share a few similarities, but that's really it.

But just because
he wasn't the zodiac,

doesn't mean that he wasn't
capable of killing people.

And my mind just
keeps going back to the Santa Rosa hitchhike killer.

The Sheriff,
Don Striepeke,

revealed that he's been
working closely with a psychiatrist

to come up with a composite
on the one man they agree is the killer.

So this is from 1975.

So two years after
the last known killing,

there's a lot of talk
about the profile of who this killer was...

And there are, I would say,
a lot of similarities to what I know about Jim.

He's got a passing father, a dominant mother.

Probably hated his mother
with a great deal of passion.

And now he takes this
out on young females.

His mother, Evelyn,
oh, she was a wicked little woman.

Mm-mm. She was
just mean-spirited.

So, yes, that's true.

I think Jim Mordecai took
a lot out on women.

He has long standing mental problems.

He probably tortured
and killed animals.

He believes women
to be garbage

and that's the reason that
he dumps them just like someone would dump litter

alongside the road.

The psychiatrist believes

the man considers himself
the savior of mankind

capable of cleansing
the world of these fallen women.

It kind of echoes the verses
that he had underlined in his Bible,

where it's like talking about
purging and cleaning evil and sin.

He looks on himself
as a savior,

as a religion like
the Manson clan.

He came into my room
and he'd, like, put his hands out like this...

And he's like, "Do you feel my power?"

He'd start talking in tongues.
And I thought, "That's not normal.

Jim was proclaiming
all the time... that he was Moses.

And that, um...

He killed in the name of God.

We're here today
to meet with a retired FBI profiler

to get a modern perspective
on the type of person

that could have committed
the Santa Rosa hitchhiker murders.

- How are you?

Pleasure to meet you. - Nice to meet you.

Grab a seat, ladies.

I've had the opportunity
to take a look at a lot of the documents

that relate to
the Santa Rosa case.

And I've come up with
some offender behaviors

and a profile of who may
have committed these homicides.

Now, I don't know
your step-grandfather, or your stepfather.

So you have to tell me
if these things resonate with his behaviors.

And this is around the time
the homicides took place.

I said he would
be a white male.

I said he would be
into his mid to late 20s.

I said, if he worked
with kids in some fashion,

it would be as a teacher
or camp counselor.

I said he was very familiar
with the area the bodies were abducted and dumped.

There's a potential that
he may have experimented with animals...

when he was younger. Um...

I said, he was very
confident in talking to young women

because he had that
little bit of control and power over them.

In fact, the individual
we are looking at here

could be an individual
that was...really a nice guy.

But something would happen...

something... Somebody would
say something...

or something would
just trigger him,

where he would just
flip the switch and then he would become violent...

- Mm-hmm.
- ...to the point where he would beat you,

uh, he would hurt you
in any way that he could.

And, and I equate
hurt with rape.

Throughout his life
he may have engaged in voyeuristic behaviors.

- Are you okay, Sierra?
- Yeah, that just makes me nervous

because she's had instances
where she was being...

- Watched by him.
- ...watched by him.

I was hanging out
with this guy,

come back to my house,
take him into my room, we're making out...

And the next day,
Jim approaches me...

in his hovering way,
in your space...

and he said, "I know
what you were doing last night with a guy in your room."

And he spelled out,
A, B, C and D, exactly what we had done.

I'm like, "Oh, my God.
He was watching me!"

The offender probably
collected souvenirs from his victims...

as a means
of reliving the act.

Now, those could be...

anything from pieces
of jewelry,

to pieces of clothing,

uh, something that would
help them relive it over and over again.

It was a like a box of jewelry...

It just had a random
mish-mash of no-matching teenager, adult jewelry.

- Did you notice anything in
his belongings at the ranch? - Yeah, but I threw it away.

It is what it is.

I also said that
the offender would revisit the crime scene...

as a way of reliving.

You want to tell about Michael
on the way to the ranch?

It was Michael.

Jim was driving Michael,
his step-son,

and took him on a drive
in that Santa Rosa area.

He would stop the car
and be like, "Michael, do you see that ditch right there?

"They found a naked woman
murdered there."

And drive again,
and do the same thing again in another location.

- Mm. Interesting.
- Yeah.

- I know.
- Because...

there is a couple
samples of DNA...

semen, that were found
on two of the victims.

Have that checked,
to see if it in fact is Jim Mordecai's.

- How do...
How do we do that? - How do we do that?

I think that's pretty easy.

If you bring something
that still exists of Jim Mordecai...

- Mm-hmm.
- Okay.

...hairbrush
or razor that he had, they got some DNA on it.

Um, we have that knife
that Jim used to drive around with in his truck.

- It should be examined...
by a lab. - Mm-hmm. Yeah.

That will either...

close the door for you,

or open the door wide up.

I think there's some
real potential here.

Um, I, I need to thank you
guys for coming forward with this,

I mean, it's so brave of you.

I think what you're doing

is gonna bring closure
one way or the other.

This is also an opportunity
to bring closure to a lot of families.

- Yeah.
- And that's really, really important.

What do I see that would
make me say he's not?

Well, I really haven't
found too much that would tell me that he's not.

Let's get someone
in the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office,

or the Sonoma P.D.

to be willing to move forward
with this. - Okay.

You gotta bring more
than circumstantial evidence to the police department

to take a look
at a 50-year-old case.

And I think asking
to test the semen

left on two victims,

to see if it in fact
is Jim Mordecai's...

is a perfect opportunity
to do that.

If that comes back positive,

then they have no choice
but to reopen it.

I think it's very possible

that Jim Mordecai
is the Santa Rosa hitchhiker murderer.

some, some stuff for me.

Yeah, I got some
interesting things.

- Did you go
see the profiler? - I did. I met with Ray.

- And he did say
some interesting stuff. - Okay.

There was a lot of stuff
that he said that echoed this original profile

that was put out
in the 70s.

And did he say anything
about evidence?

Yeah, so he also said,

"Do you have anything
that might have DNA on it?"

So I did bring some
stuff that I have...

Jim had cancer.

And he has bought
these clippers to shave his hair off

when he went through chemo.

- Have they been
out of the box? - No. Uh-uh.

- No.
- So they've not been touched at all in this time?

This has not
been able to close,

but it hasn't been--
Nobody's opened this up for sure.

And then these,
I don't know if, I probably shouldn't take them out.

- No.
- No? Okay.

So I've touched them
and my mom has.

Uh, but this
is his Timex watch

that he was using
at the time of his death.

- And then this is, um...
- A knife.

And my grandmother said,
"Oh, that's the knife that he drove around in his car with."

Okay.

What we need to do
is preserve these.

They need to be bagged,
what we call bagged and tagged properly.

- Mm-hmm.
- And that's evidence bags,

and on there you write
what it is, where it is, who signed it.

- So that we can keep
a chain of evidence. - Okay.

Now, as long as we know
who's touched it,

and it may be that you would
have to give a DNA sample,

and your mum would
have to give a DNA sample.

And would having
any of his children's DNA help that?

Like, if I get,
I know for sure, one of my aunts would do it.

Yeah. You do have
certain character traits

- that are in your DNA that
you got from your parents. - Mm-hmm.

So if we get the DNA
profile of Jim

from these items,
if possible,

we can go
to the police and say, "Can you run it against...

"the DNA samples that
were found on the victims?"

- Yeah.
- This here...

it's gonna be the,
the last missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle.

This is his watch.

This is a pair
of nail clippers that he used.

And this is the knife
that Jim used to drive around in his car with.

Tomorrow we're gonna
take these items to the lab to get tested.

And the hope is that
we can build Jim's DNA profile.

And if we can do that,

then we can
take that profile to the Sonoma County Sheriff

and finally figure out
if Jim actually was

the Santa Rosa
hitchhiker murderer.

Going to this lab

today to drop off
the items we have of Jim's.

It's all
really traumatizing

to think he might've,
might've killed people.

Like there's moments
where I'm like... No.

And then I'm like,
oh, my God, it could be a very real...

situation.

I mean, it's,

as Jim's biological daughter.

So we have a box of
my step-grandfather's possessions that we have

left from him, um,
since he is deceased. He died in 2008.

And we kind of want
to see if you would be able to pull a DNA profile off of

these objects we have.

We have reason to believe
he might be connected to some unsolved crimes.

Okay.

We know for certain that
he was a serial offender when it came to rape.

- Okay.
- We wanna start to build a profile of him,

so that we can hopefully
go to the police department,

and see if we can run it
against the specific case that we're looking at.

I see. Okay.
What are the items?

We have a watch,
a knife, and hair clippers.

Okay. And watch,
I'm assuming he owned and wore all the time.

- It was his, yeah.
- Mm-hmm.

Hair clippers were used
on him and only him?

- Yes.
- Were any of these items touches by anybody else

- you know of, or...
- I touched all of them.

And I also touched them, too.

But I never opened
the clipper box.

Yeah. Previously, I would say,
probably in 2008,

with the DNA testing
that was going on,

you touching those could be,
could've been a major problem.

But now with
these new software companies coming out,

they can take the mixture,
take it into their software,

and then spit out
a deconvoluted mixture and say,

okay, we see this person,
this person and this person.

- This is what's left. So...
- Good.

That's amazing.

Okay, so let's get some
reference samples from you three,

as two known contributors
that might've touched it,

and then one known
biological daughter.

I'm gonna go inside
one side of your cheek, and then the other side.

That's it for that.

And one more.

And what is the likelihood
of finding, like...

his DNA in a set
of hair clippers or on a watch?

Yeah, it's, it's, uh,
not a question of whether or not we're gonna get DNA...

It's how much,
and if we get a full profile. - Okay.

The knife definitely
can give DNA,

if, you know, if it was his,
like, normal, used knife.

A sheath, we can sometimes
cut open, depending on what it's made of.

Uh, we can also look
in different crevices of the knife.

- Mm-hmm.
- But if there's a large stain that we see,

it's-- we can definitely do
a serology testing.

Get a presence of blood.

And then, can you identify
if that was animal blood, human blood?

- Yes. So blood is expected.
- Okay.

We're just trying
to figure out if it's...

If it is human or not.
And then, I mean, if it is his,

you might be able
to tell that

- once you kinda know
what his DNA is. - Sure.

And then, if it isn't,

then that takes us down
maybe a different road.

Who knows.

So, in about 30 days,
we'll have a few answers for you.

The first is, um,
how much DNA is there,

and if we have DNA.

Two, is that DNA
a mixture?

- And three, is there blood?
- Mm.

Now,
all we can do is wait.

And hopefully,
this will give us a DNA profile for Jim.

Something that could be run
against the Santa Rosa Hitchhike killer.

So whatever happens
in this investigation,

the biggest thing
has been... being able to talk about Jim,

and say the things he did,

and talk about it
and heal.

That has been the best gift
that my family has ever had.

Because for the first time
in my life,

we're starting to live
without him looming in the shadows.

So
how do you feel about Sierra

digging all this
stuff up?

I think it's been
the best thing.

It's brought all of you
girls together.

It's brought me
into your lives.

And I feel like
there have been things that I should have addressed.

It's made me dig
into... things that I needed to do.

That's good.

I mean, it's uncomfortable.

Um, you know, it's hard
to hear... what I knew to be true.

- Yes.
- But I knew it was true.

And I think
it was just normalized.

When I had Sierra,
I realized how my mom didn't protect me.

So it made me more mad

because that mother bear
instinct to just protect your kid,

for some reason,
my mom lost that.

I mourned the loss
of my mom.

For a long time,

it defined everything for me.

So I've had to tell myself
a story that

she stayed with him
to save me.

I don't know
if it's true.

It would surely make things
a lot easier for me

because if she didn't,

then she did
abandon me.

It was my fault
that she didn't want to come and see me,

but I didn't wanna
leave him either

'cause, you know,
I was raised that...

when you're married,
your husband is very important,

you never go to bed mad,
that kind of thing.

I don't cry at all,
hardly ever.

And I cried a lot.

Because I missed her.
I missed her a lot.

I think you saw me
as weak, and I was.

I did see you as weak.

But I... now know
that you were doing it out of... survival.

And out of...
learned patterns.

Now that you're coming,
you know, out of this fog,

and talking about stuff,

and not in denial about it...

- No.
- ...it's making a lot easier, you know.

Shannon means so much...

She means so much to me...

that I... I would never
mean to be awful to her.

And I think that
that's when she really realized that

maybe I'm not as weak
as she thought.

And... that really...
made me very happy.

I got a message
that the test results from the lab are in.

They didn't find
any blood.

But sent what they did find
to another lab for a deeper look.

- Hello?
- Hi, how are you?

- Good. How are you?
- Good. I'm good.

Um, so, I understand
that you were given

- the item from
my grandfather. - Right.

- So have you guys
found anything? - Oh, yeah.

Yeah, we had a statistic
between the watch

of just like
about 100.

- Mm-hmm.
- Which is okay.

What I didn't expect is,
was it the finger nail

- or the clippers, that--
- The hair clippers, maybe?

The hair clippers, yeah.
There's very little data there.

But you know what?

The little bit that is there
matches that.

Now, we have a statistic
of a million.

- Wow.
- Now I'm confident we have Jim's DNA.

Wow, that is amazing

that you can do that,
like, that's...

I mean, that's why
we're here.

If I were to take
that sample

to, uh, law enforcement,

like, would they listen
to that?

- Well, it's hard to predict,
like, what they would say. - Right.

Because, again,
it definitely depends on,

you know, who you're talking
to, how interested they are,

what they're permitted to do
in their jurisdiction.

But I think you have
something to compare to.

But now, can they give you
something to compare this to?

Because I don't know
if we could, like, if they would search a database

or anything like that.

But do they have
something from a scene?

- Mm-hmm.
- Which we could compare to.

And if we don't...
there's no hit, there's no hit.

But what if there was?

Then, of course,
if it matches Jim, then we have a whole other story.

Right.

Bill is really sure that

this DNA that
we have given him is Jim's.

It's, like,
pretty overwhelming.

It's like resurrecting him
from the dead, and I don't want that.

the DNA profile that we have of Jim,

along with circumstantial

from the Santa Rosa Hitchhiker murders.

did everything that I wanted to do.

Which was just, like,
say the truth.

I think he will
look at it, for sure.

It was a lot.

You absolutely
gave it your best.

I think you blew him away

I honestly don't think
you could've done anything better.

I think that you should be
super proud of yourself.

Your family...
really proud of you, and them.

And it's literally
in their hands now. It really is.

I mean, that was
my goal, right? It was like...

to just have
somebody listen.

And I think when
I said to him, like,

they don't know if he is,
they don't know if he isn't.

But I feel like
I can't sleep at night

unless I tell someone.

And he said thank you.

That's like-- That's what,
like, that's a transaction

that you should have
as a citizen, with law enforcement, you know?

Like, you should do
what's right.

You should speak
about those things.

And you shouldn't be
persecuted for that, or like,

turned into a crazy person,
and he didn't make me feel that way at all.

And I think if we, like,
had more of that,

then we would never have
Jim Mordecais.

Moving on
without Jim in our lives,

it's like a whole new world.
Like, it's totally uncharted territory.

Because I don't know
my life without Jim.

I don't know
who my grandma was before him.

I don't know
who my mom was.

Christi, Michael, Janae.

I don't know who my aunts are,
Jaime and Melissa, without him.

So I think we've stripped
Jim of his power,

and in return,
we've been given our power back.

And, to me,
and to my family,

I think that is...

really, really important.

- How has this whole journey

I could've just
stayed in bed for the rest of my life.

I'm not afraid anymore.

I've noticed a change

or so ago,

we got a call from
Cybergenetics, who's working on Jim's DNA.

And they said that they have
now a profile that's, like, really solid.

- Okay.
- Great.

So I was able to meet
with one of-- the detective

who's on
the Santa Rosa case.

So, he has the DNA now.

So it's kind of in
his hands now.

And, uh, I think
we've done... a lot

for the Santa Rosa
case, so... - Yes.

Um... it's...
it is what it is now.

I think it's awesome
there's a chance at closure.

- Yeah.
- You're definitely more

involved with this
than we are.

As in, what you've heard,
what you've seen.

- Your research
that you've done. - Yeah.

Even more so
than... us.

So that I didn't have
to go through what all of you went through.

I know it's been hard.

I feel like I must have
had someone looking over my shoulder.

Like a protector.

I'm forever grateful
for that because

my life could've gone
a completely different way.

I mean, very much so.

here I am, today,

like, sitting here,
sharing my story.

You know, of course,
through many tears and through feelings,

and a lot of emotion
but, um, you know, I'm here.

And I made it.
You know, like, let's go.

Oh, this is what it
feels like when you're on your healing journey.

It stops with us,
so... the cycle's done.

How are you feeling
with everything?

I just feel like
I'm... ready to be done.

I mean, the impetus
that kinda started this was your own journey.

So how are you
feeling with that?

Feel like some... closure?

I just don't feel
mad anymore.

About my sexual assault.

I think I just feel like,

"Okay, yeah,
it has to stop."

- Yeah.
- For sure.

I think that when
I started this, I was, like, really

angry at people.

My friends and...
everybody and now, I have, like, this different...

like... empathy
for them all?

- Right.
- Even for, like, the guy who did it

and the teacher
who did all those things to me.

I'm not looking
for an apology.

I don't even need--
I don't need an apology.

Well, I'm glad it's not
consuming you anymore.

You know, you dealt with it.
You got help.

- Processing it.
- Yeah.

And, in turn, look at what
you've done. Like, you've changed our whole family.

And you're...
you're stopping the cycle.
