So I have Mama Bacon.

And I remember feeling so normal

feel the love there.

After a weekend of all
of that love and excitement,

I didn't feel like going back

to a closeted
and confined space.

So for me, drag
did save my life.

I had when I had nothing.

people protesting

at drag queen story hours
and being extremely violent.

But someone dressed
as a princess

telling a story about a mermaid
is offensive to them.

People in the LGBTQ+ community

are constantly being
targeted with hate

to divert from bigger issues.

What they want
everyone to focus on

is "This drag queen's
reading to our kids."

It kind of feels like
we're getting somewhere,

but at the same time, it's like,

we still shouldn't be having,
like, problems

about drag queens
reading a story to kids.

just going out into the world

and showing resilience
and just saying

"We can't be fucked with

the way
that y'all think we can,"

it's like that's going to be

and really loved me in drag.

seeing you, this season,

take these kind of risks
to show us what you got.

I think it was very smart

when I saw Carl, I thought,

transformed in the green dress,

that number was so great.
