a disturbing formation in the skies.

- These US pilots refer
to the 12 mysterious objects

in the sky as a fleet.

They're not just lights,

they're some kind of craft.

PILOT: It's something flying.

NARRATOR:
The mayor of a Turkish city

makes an extraordinary discovery.

- He claims that this temple,

in a place nicknamed
the City of Prophets,

was actually built by aliens.

- We really don't know how
or why it was created.

NARRATOR:
And when Albert Einstein met ET.

The astonishing audio tape that,
if true,

proves the world's leading
scientist was at Roswell.

WOMAN: They could apparently
survive in our atmosphere.

And they had apparently
come such a long way.

- If this is real,
this is the smoking gun.

It proves everything: aliens,

the crash, the cover-up,
it goes right to the top.

NARRATOR: UFOs, once the stuff
of science fiction,

now caught on camera,

finally forcing governments
to reveal what they know.

- UAPs are unexplained,
but they are real.

- Many of these phenomena have
been sighted in training ranges.

for one moment

that these things,
whatever they are,

are here to do not very good things.

a US military pilot reacts to a
disturbing phenomenon in the skies.

- There, just above the clouds,
are these three lines of lights.

They look like small craft
flying in some kind of formation.

This is something really bizarre.

NARRATOR: This isn't a reflection
in the window of the aeroplane,

and it's not the lights of fishing
boats on the sea below.

these things are above the clouds.

- These are experienced
military pilots.

They've flown countless hours.

They've seen everything there
is to see up there in the skies.

But not this.

These US pilots refer to the
up to 12 mysterious objects

in the sky as a ‘fleet'.

They're not just lights,
they are some kind of craft.

NARRATOR: American Military pilots
are some of the most highly trained

observers in the world.

If these lights in the sky
are aircraft,

they seem to defy rules of flight
as we understand them.

- They know what a fighter jet looks
like, or a helicopter,

a drone, or a glider, you name it.

but it's none of these things.

- They don't have wings,

they don't have rudders,
or elevators,

and yet they're able to defy the
natural effects of Earth's gravity.

And just three months later,

the disturbing lights
seem to reappear.

- They were seen again,
but this time

directly over the island of Taiwan.

- The objects are spotted

and filmed from the ground
this time,

by two local Taiwanese women.

- (woman speaks in Mandarin)

NARRATOR: The illuminated shapes
appear above farmland,

weaving repeated patterns in the
sky,

and interacting with each other,

once again in ways
unlike any human technology.

- The footage shows the objects
spinning or rotating

and moving in a very,
very unusual way.

- The Taiwanese military issue
a response to the footage,

and they say that there's been no
military activity

or any other kinds
of official aviation

going on at the time
of the sighting.

NARRATOR: Two similar
unexplained phenomena

in the same region,
within months of each other.

- It's clear that something
very strange is going on.

Something very mysterious, indeed.

NARRATOR: The objects appear
to be classic UFOs,

but the location of these sightings

points to a highly advanced
human enemy.

- The CIA analysts,

or whatever military intelligence
arm is analysing this footage,

and they're gonna spend days
looking at it,

is gonna going to think one thing -
China.

- So, beneath that footage
of those fluffy clouds,

you have China's presence looming
menacingly over independent Taiwan.

That's a place of 23 million people

that regards itself
as an independent country.

NARRATOR: Taiwan lies
in the South China Sea

just 100 miles east
of the Chinese mainland,

and it's a constant thorn
in the side of the superpower.

- Communist China has viewed Taiwan

as its own territory since just
after the end of Second World War.

And that poses a threat
not only to Taiwan,

but also to the United States.

- Taiwan dominates what's
known as the first island chain.

Now, that's a line of US-friendly
islands

that are totally crucial
for American foreign policy.

NARRATOR: Analysts like retired
Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis,

of the Defence Priority's
think tank,

fear a terrifying armed conflict
between China and the US.

- When I first saw these
separate objects

moving in a carefully
co-ordinated way,

what came to mind immediately
was drones.

NARRATOR: China leads the world
in drone development and production.

- Just go to December 2021,

Global Fortune Forum in Guangzhou,

and we see 1,180 drones
perform in incredible,

complicated formation.

NARRATOR: It's no surprise that
China was the setting

for a world-record-breaking
drone flight,

with 3,281 drones
airborne simultaneously.

- Drones are used a lot in China
to observe their own population.

there's a lot of Big Brother
activity there.

- There are cameras spying on
citizens everywhere in China,

and they're using artificial
intelligence, facial recognition,

even gait recognition; that is
looking at the individual way

that all of us walk, to log
the movement of Chinese citizens.

NARRATOR: And the Chinese drone
builders are masters of disguise.

- 30 Chinese government and military
agencies have been using drones

disguised as birds to spy
on an unwitting population.

- The project is codenamed Dove,

and it's just sinister
as the ironic name of it sounds.

The drones are programmed
to flap their wings

and glide just
like a real bird would.

- For any person in China, you can
pretty much assume

that any person you meet, whatever
you do when you're outdoors,

is being monitored.

NARRATOR: These drones work
in total synchronicity;

they exhibit a kind of collective
artificial intelligence.

And as a weapon of war,

Chinese military drones are even
more technologically advanced.

- (explosion)

NARRATOR: They could be devastating.

- We're talking about autonomous
decision-making as a group.

They share sensor data,

they target high-speed vessels.

They can react to circumstances
changing around them.

I mean,
these things are seriously clever.

- We've seen them hunt
enemy missile launchers,

or really pursue any target
they assigned to.

- How do you defend yourself
against thousands of armed drones?

The Americans have this incredible
thing called the Phalanx gun,

that can fire
over 4,500 rounds a minute.

- (machine gun fire)

- But even if your opponent destroys
80% of the drones swarm,

that still leaves a whole bunch
of drones

that can accomplish the mission.

It's a whole new type of warfare.

NARRATOR: And any war
begins with reconnaissance.

But these objects are behaving
in one particular way

that must have unnerved
even those seasoned pilots.

- I think what must have really
spooked the pilots,

is the way in which
they keep appearing,

and then disappearing.

NARRATOR: These objects aren't
vanishing behind a cloud,

they're simply blinking
out of existence.

Then they seem to reappear
at a different point in the sky.

- Theoretically, in physics, it's
possible; it's called teleportation.

The drones currently made
by our technology can't do this.

No man-made technology can do this.

NARRATOR:
Finally, and most remarkably,

the formation
dematerialises completely.

PILOT: Gone.

NARRATOR:
These objects have been reported

over many contested territories

in war zones all over the world.

From Ukraine to Afghanistan,

and right back to World War Two,

when pilots called
them Foo Fighters.

- Whatever those objects are, they
may not be a good sign for the West.

- Seeing unidentified objects like
this over a hotly contested area

is, of course, incredibly dangerous.

- We have so much weaponry

and so many itchy trigger fingers
in the same relatively small area,

it's not impossible that one mistake

could launch the war
that would be the end of us all.

Their eyes were enormous
and were very prominent.

Their eyes were enormous.

They were very prominent.

They were the most obvious thing
you'd see on their face.

NARRATOR: In October 2021,
an audio tape emerges.

Its contents, if true,
are proof of perhaps

the biggest cover-up
in world history.

WOMAN ON TAPE: The ones
that I saw were approximately,

maybe five feet tall.

- This has the potential
to change everything.

- If this is real,
this is the smoking gun.

It proves everything; aliens,

the crash, the cover up.
It goes right to the top.

- The female voice on the tape
claims to be that

of the former personal assistant

to world famous scientist
Albert Einstein.

And in minute detail, she describes
the day she and her boss

came face to face
with the crash at Roswell.

If the world's most intelligent man,
most brilliant physicist,

has seen aliens,
then we need to start preparing.

NARRATOR: Roswell. It's the biggest
and strangest UFO mystery of all.

- The story goes that in 1947
something crashed

just outside
of Roswell Army Air Field,

and the US army released a report
saying

that a flying disc
had been recovered.

- And very quickly
they retract that statement,

and say it's a weather balloon
that crashed.

TV PRESENTER: So, rest assured,
that strange saucer-like object

was probably only
an optical illusion,

actually a stratospheric
weather balloon.

- And then we heard that bodies of
aliens had been recovered,

and that the authorities were
engaged in a determined cover-up.

NARRATOR: By the early 1990s,

speculation around the crash
was at fever pitch,

and the authorities were
pressured into making a statement.

- In 1994, the US Air Force is
forced to release a report

saying that the object was a crashed
nuclear-test surveillance balloon.

As if they couldn't have released it
before because it was classified.

- With these rumours circulating

that alien bodies have been
recovered from the crash site,

the authorities
react in a very odd way.

They say, "Yes, yes, there are
things that look like bodies,

"but they're crash-test dummies

"that have been dropped
from high altitude."

Well, far from scotching rumours,
that only fuels them even more.

The government's story
has changed time after time.

Well, that is very suspicious.

NARRATOR: The person speaking
on the newly released tape

makes it crystal clear that Roswell

was a real encounter
with a crashed UFO,

and its very peculiar occupants.

- Did they seem repelled
by our appearance

since they look so different?

- Oh, they thought
we were very odd.

- The audio tape purports to be an
interview with Dr Shirley Wright.

- She claims that she was
the assistant to the man

who put forward
the theory of relativity,

and arguably the architect of the
modern world, Albert Einstein.

NARRATOR: The recording,
made in 1993,

describes Dr Wright accompanying
the world-famous physicist

to inspect the Roswell crash, almost
immediately after it's happened.

- Albert Einstein was
the greatest physicist of all time.

His theory of relativity
and his work on quantum mechanics

laid the foundations
for all modern physics.

NARRATOR: So, if a major
scientific event happened,

it'd make sense
for the US Government

to call on the world's pre-eminent
physicist to investigate.

But nothing about his
alleged visit was ever made public

until the appearance of the
mysterious Shirley Wright tape.

- The voice on the tape claims

that she and Einstein
were taken to the site,

that they were ushered
into a hangar,

and within that hangar
was some kind of alien craft,

the likes of which
had never been seen on Earth.

- The description on the tape
is extremely specific.

She says it was
a disc-shaped object,

slightly concave in structure.

The size of this object
was immense.

She said that it was fully one
quarter the height of the hangar.

- It seemed to be made
out of a material

completely unknown to science.

- On the tape, Dr Shirley Wright
says that, at a distance,

the ship, in her own words,
seemed to be made

from a rather reflective material,

but that when they got up close...

DR WRIGHT: It was rather dull.

- She says this made the team
particularly curious.

But beyond the ship,
lay the bodies.

- So, the ship is one thing, but
then you have the aliens themselves,

and she claims that Einstein and
she were allowed to look at them.

FRANKLIN:
How many were there originally?

DR WRIGHT: I saw nine.

- That they all looked
the same to her.

- They were about five feet high,
completely hairless,

with big heads
and enormous dark eyes.

- And a skin that was grey
with a bit of a greenish tinge.

- Incredibly, she says not
all of these creatures were dead.

- She even claims that they
communicated telepathically,

and breathed oxygen.

FRANKLIN: Did they need any
special breathing apparatuses?

DR WRIGHT: No, they could apparently
survive in our atmosphere.

And they had apparently
come such a long way.

NARRATOR: According to the tape
they weren't from our galaxy,

but from a star system
unknown to Einstein.

And they were seeking
to colonise another planet - ours.

DR WRIGHT: They asked the scientists
what was their best system

of going out into the atmosphere,
or going into the ocean,

and how deeply we had penetrated
galaxies, things like that.

And they were very quick to let us
know that we didn't know anything.

If Einstein was present
at Roswell as a witness,

I can't imagine how
he would have reacted.

It's mind-blowing stuff.

If NARRATOR: this incredibly
detailed story is true,

it indicates that some kind
of unknown craft

containing non-human occupants

crashed in New Mexico in 1947...

..and that the US government
has covered up the truth about it

for 75 years.

- Have we come across any wreckage
of any kind of object

that has now been
examined by you?

- The taskforce doesn't have any
wreckage that isn't explainable,

that isn't consistent with being
of terrestrial origin.

- Perhaps one of the reasons
why people are very loathsome

to talk about potential crash
and crash retrievals,

because by necessity,

you have to ask the next question,
which is, was it occupied?

And if it was,
then what did they look like?

Where were they from?

Did we communicate, right, and all
these other Pandora Box questions

that are going to happen
very quickly within seconds

of admitting that there was a crash?

The formal position
I have to take is,

I really can't tell you much
about it because I wasn't there.

The informal position I can take
is that Roswell happened.

Whatever it was, it happened.

There was an event, there was
a quick reaction force, if you will,

or rapid deployment of troops
to secure the area.

Debris was recovered,
whatever that debris was,

and research and analysis was done.

NARRATOR: But can we trust this
taped account of Dr Shirley Wright?

- This interview was recorded 50
years after the alleged event,

and she would have been only 19
at the time that this happened.

Also no other accounts
anywhere near this have come out.

So, you really have to wonder,
is this real?

- Why did she wait 50 years
to spill the beans

on what happened at Roswell
with her and Einstein?

So, to me, you have to ask,
who was Shirley Wright,

and see if that changes things for
you? I think it is quite compelling.

- She was a scientist
in her own right.

She has PhDs in physical chemistry
and physical science.

NARRATOR: The voice claiming
to be Shirley Wright

says she studied under Einstein at a
summer programme in nuclear physics

at Princeton University in 1947.

FRANKLIN:
How was it that they crashed?

DR WRIGHT: They knew it was
a malfunction, or something,

but they didn't know it.

- She records the tape in the '90s,

and at the time she wasn't
particularly aged,

she was still of sound mind,
she was only in her 60s,

and then she insists
that the tape isn't released

until after her death, so, there was
no way for her to gain from it.

Dr Wright claims she was ordered
to stay silent on the matter,

but that she refused to take
the information to her grave.

NARRATOR: No available public
records firmly establish

a connection between Dr Wright
and Einstein.

- Really, the only way
of knowing what went on here

is to trace Einstein's
historical movements

at the time of the Roswell crash.

Could he be traced to New Mexico,
or even to the air base itself?

And, of course, all those historical
records are still classified

and not part of the public record.

- At that time, Princeton likely had
access to Einstein's diary.

They knew about his movements,

but all materials for that year
relating to the great man himself

are no longer available,
have disappeared.

What a surprise.

- Einstein reportedly said, "Look,
there's every reason to believe

"that other planets are inhabited.

"Why should Earth be
the only planet sustaining life?

"We're not singular
in any other regard."

- Did Einstein know
something that we don't?

Did he know
what went down at Roswell?

NARRATOR: Sanliurfa,
South Eastern Turkey.

a city of two million people,

presided over by...

He's a politician who trained as
a lawyer at Istanbul University.

- (he speaks Turkish)

- In April 2022, he claims
that this temple,

in a place nicknamed
the City of Prophets,

was actually built by aliens.

NARRATOR:
It's an extraordinary claim.

But Gobekli Tepe, just to the north
of Mayor Beyazgul's city,

is possibly the most extraordinary
temple on Earth.

It's staggeringly older

than any of the world's
other great ancient sites.

- This site contains
a lot of mysteries,

and one of its mysteries
is actually its age.

It's believed to be
the oldest temple in the world,

and was built
around 12,000 years ago.

- For comparison,
Giza's Great Pyramid

is 4,500 years old.

That was built in about
2,500 years BC.

- It is so old, it predates

any type of other architecture on
the planet, for the most part.

And it's extremely precise.

The way in which it is constructed
demonstrates some sort

of advanced knowledge or
technique in construction building.

- We really don't
know how or why it was created.

NARRATOR: And when Mayor Beyazgul
studied the carvings

at the temple,
of human-looking figures

a key detail of their clothing
seemed wrong.

Beyazgul's concern
about these images

was that, while they are humanoid,
they look very odd.

They're not wearing,
kind of, animal skins,

as you might have expected
from people at that time,

but this, kind of, V-neck motif,

and also they're carrying
these very odd, kind of, handbags.

- What's interesting
about these bags

is we find them replicated
in carvings

almost identically
all around the world.

- (he speaks Turkish)

NARRATOR: A coincidence perhaps.

But these small
and distinctive bags

are shown in the hands of one
particular kind of figure.

- They're all carried
by what we've characterised

as deities of some sort.

- In depictions
of the Mexican god Quetzalcoatl,

and also this god-like race
called the Annunaki in Sumeria.

They're there carrying
their little bags with them.

- And when you think about it,
what are gods

except a kind of extra-terrestrial,

a being beyond earthly.

Perhaps it's not a giant leap
to say that this is alien

because these images,
these beings,

are clearly
not just being referenced,

they're being worshipped,
they're being venerated.

And possibly they had visited
our ancestors at Gobekli Tepe

and were imparting
great wisdom to them.

NARRATOR: Mayor Beyazgul isn't the
first person to make a connection

between incredible
engineering feats of the past

and potential visitors
from other worlds.

- Erich von Daniken very effectively
popularised in the '70s

the idea that aliens came
and bestowed civilisation

and engineering, and things like
that, upon human beings.

Von Daniken proposed that a carving
on a tomb in Palenque, Mexico,

shows an ancient astronaut
in a space ship,

and that the Pyramids
of Egypt and Mexico,

Stonehenge and the platforms of
Pumapunku in Bolivia were built

with the aid of these
extra-terrestrial gods.

- If we take the example of pyramids

and the similarity between pyramids

and, say, Egypt
and China and Mexico,

does that mean extra-terrestrials?

Or does it just mean that
that structure

is something that's very obvious

and very logical
for human beings to create?

- If you really look at all of Von
Daniken's so-called evidence,

you will see that he was highly,
highly selective with his sources.

So we don't get a complete picture.

We just get the conspiracy theory
that he was selling.

NARRATOR:
But the temple at Gobekli Tepe

and nearby sister structures

were not discovered
until the 1990s,

and have ripped up conventional
archaeological timelines.

- These things were built at a time
when people were hunter gatherers.

They're living
in small nomadic communities.

And it seems incredible that,
you know,

at a time before agriculture
was properly invented,

there would be the organisational

and technical skills required
to build a complex of this type.

- A find at a nearby 11,000-year-old
sister site, Karahan Tepe,

has baffled archaeologists
even further.

- What we have at this site is
carvings of humanoid figures.

But there's something very
odd about these humanoid figures.

They've got six fingers.

- These depictions
of six-fingered gods

have also been found in
archaeological sites in Malta,

Iran and New Mexico.

- In the Mato Grosso region
of Brazil, investigators claim

to have found members of the Bororos
and Chavantes tribespeople

who claim that they were visited
in ancient times

by dwarfish figures
with six fingers.

NARRATOR: Six fingered humans are
not unknown to science.

It's a condition called polydactyly.

- People are born with the condition

where they just have
an extra digit on their hand.

They don't suffer,
their hands still work.

So, if you had a little gene pool
of people who had this attribute,

then you might have
a little community of people

who really did have six digits.

- But it does seem very notable

that figures who are divine,

or who could be aliens
do tend to have six fingers.

NARRATOR: Mayor Beyazgul may have
claimed aliens built the temples

that surround his city as a way
of drumming up the tourist trade,

or his lawyer's brain
may have made connections

mainstream archaeologists
have failed to spot.

Whatever the truth,
it seems at some point

people wanted these structures
to be kept a secret.

- Something very mysterious
about Gobekli Tepe

is the fact that
around about 8,000 years ago,

the people who built this site,

or their descendants, filled it in.

Deliberately, they backfilled it,
almost as if they were hiding it,

maybe through a sense of shame,
maybe to keep a secret.

And then they abandoned it.

Does this ancient
and very mysterious civilisation

hold the key to the UFO mystery?

- (urgent orchestral music)

- In 2016, the CIA reveals an
extraordinary report

from post-war Germany,

an incredible account
that's been kept under wraps

for almost 60 years.

NARRATOR: It's a sworn statement
given by 48 year old Oscar Linke,

who lived in Thuringia, in communist
controlled East Germany.

- Oskar says that the incredible
incident happened in June 1950

when he and his daughter Gabriella

were on a motorcycle,
heading home to Gleimershausen.

- One of the tyres
on the motorcycle blew,

forcing them to stop. At the time,

they were somewhere near Haselbach.

- They were walking along when
Gabriella points to something

that looks like a couple of deer.

As they get closer,

Oskar can see that the deer
are actually two figures

dressed in shiny metallic clothing,

looking at something on the ground.

- Oskar says they are looking
at a large object

about 13 to 15 metres across,
shaped like a frying pan.

NARRATOR: The object has two rows
of holes that run round its edge,

each about 30 centimetres
in circumference.

And on the top of the craft is
a three-metre-high conical tower,

occupied by strange-looking figures.

- One of them has a lamp
on the front of his body

that flashes and lights up
at regular intervals.

Suddenly Gabriela calls out
to her father,

and this disturbs the figures.

They climb back into the craft
via the conical tower.

- It sounds fantastical, but Oscar
describes how the side of the craft

began to glitter and change colour
from green to red.

- And the craft begins to hum as it
slowly rises from the ground

and starts to rotate like a top.

- It's surrounded
by a ring of flames,

and the whole thing then rises
slowly from the ground.

- Oskar describes an
eerie whistling sound

like a bomb being dropped.

- And as the vehicle sped off,
Oskar estimated

that its speed was an extraordinary
1,000 miles per hour.

That's about
1,600 kilometres per hour.

NARRATOR: It sounds like classic
UFO story with a flying saucer

straight out of the black-and-white,
science-fiction films

that, at the time,
were gripping audiences in the West.

But Oskar wasn't scared of aliens,

only of an enemy closer to home.

- He described the figures' suits

as being thick
like polar explorers'.

He said he thought
they were Russians.

NARRATOR:
Soviet controlled East Germany

was run on censorship,
control and fear.

- So, stumbling across
a potential military invention

and knowing about it could have made
Oskar and his daughter the target

of intense interrogations and
investigations

for months, if not years, to come.

- He decides to get
out of communist-controlled Germany,

in case anyone finds out
what he's seen,

and he escapes with his family

into the Western-controlled
part of Berlin in April 1951,

and tells his story
to the Americans.

- Berlin in the 1950s was
full of American Spies,

trying to keep the West free
with whatever means necessary.

NARRATOR:
What makes Oskar Linke's UFO account

so extraordinary to the Americans is
the level of engineering detail

he provides about what he saw.

After the fall
of the Berlin Wall in 1989,

remarkable drawings are unearthed

that show the Russians were working
on a flying-saucer-like craft.

- Drawings were published of a
secret aerial craft called The EKIP,

or the Tarielka.

- The overall appearance of the EKIP

is certainly what one would describe
as a flying saucer.

And the EKIP's nickname, Tarielka,

is in fact Russian
for flying saucer.

- It was based on the idea
of a flying wing,

as opposed to a flying tube
with wings.

Now, this design is supposed to be
more efficient

in the sense
that every aspect of the aircraft

that experiences drag
would also generate lift.

- It doesn't need a runway.

It could take off or land
on rough ground or even water.

- In addition,
there are no visible engines;

they are inside the craft,

and the wings are small and stubby.

- The EKIP is supposed to operate
like a hovercraft,

sucking in air
and blasting it downwards

towards the ground
to create this cushion of air.

But the jets of air can also be
blasted out the back

to create a forward thrust.

NARRATOR: But this can't be the
craft that Oskar Linke saw in 1950.

Or can it?

- Even if this was an early
prototype of the Tarielka,

then there's also a big problem
with the time frame.

- The EKIP was designed
by Professor Lev Schukin.

He had worked with the Soviet
space programme

and with hovercraft design
in the past.

But this design was one he presented
to Soviet authorities in 1978.

Yes, 1978.

Almost 30 years after Oskar Linke
says he witnessed his flying saucer.

- And that was just
the design on paper.

The first prototype
was actually built in the 1980s.

- Even in 1990, at the time
of the first test flights,

the technology was far from ready.

The craft veered off the track
and crashed.

- Which again begs the question,

where did the craft that Oskar saw
come from?

NARRATOR:
Russian home-grown technology

may have been in its infancy
in the early 1950s,

but in Germany the invading Soviets

might have stumbled across
a revolutionary secret design,

abandoned
by Hitler's fleeing scientists,

and, in particular,
the Horten brothers.

- Reimer and Walter Horten had
invented the all-wing aircraft,

and in 1943 were called upon
by Hermann Goering

to build an all-wing atomic bomber,

named Amerika.

- I think it's fair to say

that the Germans have always
been interested in trying

to create some sort
of revolutionary technology

that would allow a vehicle
to go from point A to point B

almost instantaneously,
and undetectable.

- Intriguingly, distinguished
British engineer Sir Roy Fedden,

visited German test sites
at the end of World War Two.

He remarked that the only thing
he had seen

perform at the speed of UFOs

was some of the Nazi engineering
he had witnessed.

- He had seen enough of the design
and engineering plans

to surmise that if the Germans
had managed

to prolong the war
for just a few more months,

we might have witnessed
an entirely new series

of deadly designs in aerial warfare.

- He refused to add any more
details about them.

But could it be that Oskar Linke was
seeing some of these designs

being put into action?

- I think it's very interesting. In
the '50s especially and in the '60s,

that was a golden era for research
and development,

and countries were putting
a lot of money and time and talent

into trying to maintain
that competitive edge.

NARRATOR: Oskar and his daughter may
have seen Russians attempting

to master a secret German craft,
capable of unheard-of speeds.

- Is it possible that the person
who witnessed

that quote unquote "UAP UFO,"

in fact, was witnessing a prototype

of some sort of revolutionary
secret technology

then being built by the Russians?

Or is it possible
that Russia was inspired

by the observations and drawings

of someone who witnessed
a genuine UAP UFO?

- We may never know the answer, but
as with many of these UAP sightings,

the speed and the manoeuvrability
of this 1950s craft was way beyond

anything that had ever been seen
in the world at that time.

NARRATOR: Can a woman get pregnant
by an alien?

It seems an absurd question
to even ask.

But a declassified 1,500-page
US government document

released in April 2022
seems to suggest concern

that it may, in fact,
already have happened.

The report details
the biological effects

of human encounters with UFOs,

and one of the potential
consequences, it says,

is unwanted pregnancy.

NARRATOR:
It also details an analysis

of supposed human encounters
with UFOs

recorded between the years
1873 and 1994.

- The victim's disturbing testimony
tells of abductions

and bizarre
fertilisation procedures.

- Whatever's going on here,
as a woman, this is harrowing stuff.

NARRATOR: The report finds
no pattern to these cases.

They seem to happen
to the most ordinary of people.

In 1992 Sierra Neblina
from Colorado Springs

claims to have become pregnant.

- We were in an apartment
complex on the bottom floor,

and I was laying
on the left side of the bed,

nearest to the wall
where the window was.

The next thing that I know is that I
had adrenalin run through my body.

I felt as though something
was in the room with me.

- She says that she was visited
by a three-foot-tall, grey alien

who came to visit her in her house.

I tried to move.
I tried to move several times

and I was unable to move.

There were multiple times
that I woke up

and passed out again
because I panicked so badly

about not being able to move.

NARRATOR: Sierra remembers
the insemination happening

through some
sort of grotesque surgery.

- She claims to have woken up
during a procedure

and witnessed several taller grey
aliens working on her abdomen.

- Sometime later, Sierra suspects
that she might be pregnant.

- So, we went to the store,
and I bought

three of four or five
different pregnancy tests.

And pregnancy test,
after pregnancy test,

after pregnancy test,
all came back positive.

- But Sierra Neblina is a lesbian,

and she says that she's never
slept with a man.

Five months later, Sierra wakes up,

and whatever was growing inside her
is gone.

She says that her stomach is flat

and there's no evidence
of a miscarriage.

No evidence of a baby at all.

- The baby disappears overnight,
as if the pregnancy never happened.

NARRATOR: Sierra isn't
the only woman who claims

to have been impregnated
by the occupants of a UFO.

- Among those who've gone on record

include American Geraldine Orozco.

- Similar to the experience
of Sierra Neblina,

she tells of an experience
with a tall, grey alien in 2013.

NARRATOR: Geraldine says she's been
targeted multiple times

by these aggressive entities.

And each pregnancy
has ended the same way.

- She says that she suffered
several miscarriages

and that the foetuses
were inexplicably absent afterwards.

NARRATOR: The claim that aliens
are breeding cuckoo offspring

within human women
is a strange claim indeed,

but one that has serious backers
in top academic institutions.

Dr Young-Hai Chi, a lecturer

at Oxford University's
Oriental Institute

claimed in 2012, that human
civilisation would come to an end

because of alien hybridisation.

- I looked at a number
of abduction cases

which had implications
for the environmental crises,

and according to the degree of its
relevance

I have categorised them
into two types.

Chi's theories note
that for several decades

the reports of alien abductions
have risen.

NARRATOR: Chi has collected
testimony and researched

hundreds of female abduction cases

to try and better understand
the motivation of the aliens

he believes are at work on Earth.

- Perhaps aliens will never tell us,
and we'll never know about it.

What they have said so far
are only three short sentences.

"This is important."

"We must do it."
"We have a right to do so."

Dr Chi believed that this had to do
with climate change

and that the alien human hybrids

would be better suited
to survive our warming planet.

NARRATOR: And other academics
believe these bizarre abductions

are happening too.

- Former Associate
Professor of History

at Temple University,
David Jacobs, believes

that this programme
is well underway.

- I think David Jacobs in particular
has examined this subject

and spoken to several women
about this.

He seems firmly to believe that the
aliens have got some plan

to produce hybrid children.

- He believes that the alien
hybridisation programme

is not an effort to help save the
human race from climate change,

but rather to replace
humans on the planet.

He believes that they're
walking amongst us now.

NARRATOR: Most species on Earth,
including humans,

are reproductively isolated,

meaning there are strong barriers
preventing hybridisation.

Most animals reject the sperm or
embryos of other types of animals,

let alone aliens.

And we know that false
pregnancy syndrome is a real

and heart-breaking condition.

False pregnancy, or pseudocyesis,

is the mistaken belief
that one is carrying a baby.

Could somebody's subjective reality
be that they are pregnant?

Could they be mistaken about that?

Well, experience in history
teaches us yes.

Mary I, Queen of England,
had a false pregnancy.

People can have false pregnancies,

and it's quite often associated

with a very,
very deep desire for a child.

It's a well-known
medical phenomenon.

- There are physical symptoms
as well.

These can include tender breasts,
delayed periods,

or even the feeling of a foetus
moving inside you.

- False pregnancy can be
caused by medical conditions,

by an imbalance of hormones.

It can also be caused by trauma.

NARRATOR: The Pentagon document
lists five compelling cases

of women with very specific,
and often matching, stories

about abduction and insemination
while on board a UFO.

There is as yet no certain physical
evidence for this phenomenon,

but the commonalities
of the accounts mean

that the threat is
being taken seriously.

- This isn't a few isolated cases.

There are many,
many instances of women,

even in highly developed societies,

claiming that this has happening
to them.

- We empower our governments

to have solutions
and figure things out on our behalf,

so we can live our day-to-day life.

So if there is a threat, we want our
government to recognise a threat

and then offer
a solution for the threat.

That's what we pay
our governments to do.

And yet this is a topic for which
we don't really know what to do yet.

And that's a hard pill to swallow

because we trust our institutions
to have answers.
