[Episode 31]

You're blinded by the human skin you wear.

Remember that anyone with a weakness can be used.

The mortal and demon worlds are oceans apart.

No one ever heard from Qing Zhi again.

I just want to ask him in person.

Qing Tan!

Qing Tan!

Lang Tian.

You're awake!

This is great!

How are your injuries? Are you in pain?

I'm fine!

I feel like a new person thanks to your care.

I'm filled with energy!

That's good.

I should send you back to Lin Dong since you're fine now.

Why would you send me away?

He unified the Emblem Masters and become a hero.

If you go back--

I'm not going anywhere.

I'm just going to stay with you.

I can't bear to leave you.

I'm just afraid that... I won't be able to protect you.

Lang Tian.

I heard everything you said to me.

I can help you. We'll cultivate as we did before.

And then, your martial arts will speak for itself.

No one will look down on you.

Lang Tian.

Ever since we cultivated together, our blood has become one.

I'm inside you, and you're inside me.

Who else would I help?

But--

You only just escaped a brush with death. You can't--

Lin Dong.

She's still sleeping?

If you wake her up, that's the end of our peace and quiet.

Senior Xuan made porridge. Have some.

I'm not hungry.

You've been pouring over that all night. You have to eat something.

No, I'll wait for her to wake up.

What if she doesn't wake up until the evening?

Then I'll wait till evening.

Do you happen to like her more?

It's like this. Little Marten and I are betting

on whether you like the fairy maiden or this tigress more.

What kind of nonsense is that?

Then... if she never wakes up, will you marry her?

I suppose... I guess, why not?

I mean, she got hurt because of me. I can't not take responsibility.

I lost again...

It's time to clean her wound. Xiao Yan, give me a hand.

Strip her clothes off.

I don't think that's proper.

What's the big deal? I'm going to marry her anyway.

I don't even mind. Why do you care?

- Go on! - Fine then, I will.

It's fine! No need! My wound doesn't need to be cleaned.

She woke up!

I might've woken up earlier.

She says she woke up earlier.

Actually... I was curious, you know.

I wanted to know what you'd do if I was unconscious forever.

- About what you said... - I didn't say anything.

Lin Dong, that's not right! You said you'd marry her!

Do I need you to tell me that?

That was if she never woke up!

Lin Dong! I got hurt while helping you!

Don't you have a conscience?

Haven't you woken up? You seem quite energetic and chatty.

Why don't you go back to your sect to rest?

I've done all that I can.

I told the marten!

I told him that you definitely liked the fairy maiden more.

Right, Lin Dong?

Fine. If you all hate me so much...

I'll go right away!

- Lin Dong, she's leaving? - Yes.

You pissed her off.

- Me? - What, you think it's me?

Here I go, off to clean up another mess.

I don't care how important I am in your heart.

But no one can be more important than me!

Huan Huan!

Huan Huan!

Huan Huan!

Huan Huan!

Huan Huan!

- Where is she? - Huan Huan!

Lin Dong.

She has things weighing on her mind after all.

You even know what it means to have things weighing on your mind?

Little Marten told me. She must be struggling internally.

She's just... not telling you.

Little Marten said that?

Yeah, ask him.

Where is he anyway?

What if he went looking for the Ancestral Emblem himself?

That rascal never changes. Xiao Yan, let's split up.

We'll have to teach him a lesson when we catch him.

- You go that way. - All right.

Huan Huan!

Lin Dong, weren't you here to find me?

Why are you looking for the marten now?

Love and passion...

Interesting.

Mistress, I didn't do anything that wasn't warranted!

Mu Qian Qian kept getting in the way and acting belligerent!

Yuan Gate Sect is definitely hiding so--

That's enough, I got it.

- Forget Yuan Gate. - Why?

You're the Emblem Protector.

- Don't stick your nose in other things. - This isn't irrelevant!

All potential threats to the successor are my business.

Enough!

That was an order.

Ling Qing Zhu, bear in mind that I can let you be the Emblem Protector

but I can also make you hand the position to someone else.

- Mistress! - Qing Zhu.

I don't want to criticize you, but you were too rash this time.

I know you want to find the Yimo

but there's always been strife between us and Yuan Gate Sect.

Your actions could make people gossip.

The Mistress is in a difficult position.

You have to forgive her for focusing on the greater stakes.

- But-- - Enough!

She's worried that you'll lose your cool

and end up following your mother's footsteps.

The Palace has always stayed out of fights.

It's not our place to discipline anyone or be close to anyone.

Get it together and don't worry so much.

I can handle Mistress for you.

I bet that Palace Mistress Shen Qing said

that Nine Heavens Purity Palace doesn't discipline or make allies.

Right?

Why didn't the great Emblem Protector have anything to say about that?

Master Yan, stop making fun of me.

You look stressed. Did that old hag Shen Qing lecture you again?

Don't say that.

She's in a high position. She can't just do what I want her to do.

Not you. But I can convince her.

I'm useless.

I told you... don't be so stubborn.

There's always a way out.

Master Yan.

I'm looking all over just for an answer.

My mother wouldn't tell me, but you did.

- I'm even more puzzled now. - I told you before, didn't I?

Obsessiveness will just add to your confusion.

Fog inevitably disperses, and truths inevitably reveal themselves.

Sticking to me and asking every question you can think of...

I'm about to pass out from all your questions!

You're holding out on me.

You say that like you're so sure.

- Master Yan! - Why are you back here?

The Guild Master deciphered another spirit map.

It's the Thunderbolt Ancestral Emblem this time.

He's going to attract a lot more criticism if he gets another emblem.

But... we haven't heard from him for days. We're worried.

The Emblem Protector is here.

Senior Xuan, I'll go help him.

All right. He used Spirit Power to etch his location on this map.

I'm afraid she has fallen for Lin Dong.

Why does your hair resemble a bird's nest?

And what's wrong with your clothes? Come here.

What have you been doing?

I've already died once, just let me be for once!

All the more reason for you to not live in squalor for once!

You're so noisy!

Where does the map say the Thunderbolt Emblem is?

- Why aren't you talking? - Didn't you say I was noisy?

Not when we're talking business. Here, do whatever you want with me.

It's kind of bizarre.

The Thunderbolt Emblem

is right by Ghost Puppet Sect on Devil Cloud Mountain.

This is bad.

I messed up. Qing Zhu can't go there.

- What? - Qing Zhu can't go there!

Devil Cloud Mountain is so hard to scale. I'm so damn tired!

There are plenty of Yang Yuan pills, but I have to find the emblem.

Otherwise, when my 1,000 years are up, I won't get to enjoy the mortal realm.

What kind of place is this?

It's so arid.

Where am I supposed to begin looking?

Who arranged all this fruit here?

Why wouldn't they sweep the cobwebs off for you?

Celestial God, since I'm so sincere, won't you help me out here?

The Thunderbolt Emblem? The heavens are on my side.

Don't run, little creature!

What the hell is that?

Be obedient and let me eat you!

Why is it rolling around?

Get away! I can't run anymore!

Get away! Get away!

Mountain God, what are you doing?

This thing is so useful. I caught myself another celestial demon!

Darling, I've been living off fruits. They're bland and my stomach is empty.

I'll switch things up with you.

What are you doing?

Why are you gathering firewood?

Are you planning on starting a fire under my ass?

You're planning on burning me?

So tender. It won't hurt once you're cooked.

You're going to roast me?

I'm just a rodent! My meat stinks and is coarse.

- It won't taste good! - Stop rambling!

You think you can hide your Yuan Power-filled body from my nose?

A 1,000-year old celestial demon! It would be a pity if I didn't eat you.

Tell me your name so I know whose stomach I'm dying in.

Don't move, I'm going to salt you.

Over here.

I'm the guardian of this mountain.

- You're the one who came to me. - Yeah, but...

You're mistaken. I didn't do anything!

You came to my shrine and stepped onto my altar.

And you stole my offerings! Am I supposed to let you get away?

You're mistaken! Let me go and I'll find more delicious things for you.

That won't be necessary.

Demons like you, who are filled with Yuan Power, are my favorite.

Stupid fatty! I have lots of friends, they're going to come rescue me!

Look at how you boast. Go on, call them all over!

I'll roast them all.

One of my buddies has the Absorption Ancestral Emblem.

He'll freak you out!

The Absorption Ancestral Emblem?

His name is Lin Dong. He's the Guild Master of Emblem Master Guild.

He's the Emblem Ancestor's successor.

He's going to turn the tables on you!

Emblem Ancestor?

And I have another buddy, he's the Fire Python Tiger.

He has wings!

Then I'll roast wings.

I'm going to roast you first.

Little Marten!

Help! I'm over here! Help!

Little Marten!

Help, over here!

Help me! I'm about to get roasted!

Help!

Aren't you tired, following me all this way?

You stupidly followed me up a mountain...

Why?

Why else? I'm not satisfied since I haven't seen you caught by Yimo.

You really know how to bicker. Isn't your mouth dry?

Wait here, I'll get you some water.

What happened?

This water... how come it attacks people?

This is so strange.

Don't tell me this electricity is coming from the Thunderbolt Emblem.

The Thunderbolt Emblem?

Lin Dong.

There's a village over there!

Lin Dong! Look over there, there's a village there!

Fantastic. Little Marten is desperate for the Thunderbolt Emblem.

He might have found it.

Who are you?

Ling Qing Zhu. I was passing through. My apologies for startling you.

It's all right. You helped us disperse the thunderclouds earlier.

We are grateful to you.

But visitors to the mountain are rare.

My lady, what brings you here?

I came to look for my friends.

And the Thunderbolt Ancestral Emblem.

Do you know of it by any chance?

I've lived here for years but I've never heard of it.

Miss, why don't you come have a few drinks in our village?

So the Thunder Tribe villagers can thank you.

Thank you, Chief.

I have to keep looking, so I can't stay.

Farewell.

Wait.

Do you happen to be affiliated with the Emblem Master Guild?

I'm from Nine Heavens Purity Palace.

I'm the Guild Master's Emblem Protector.

Are you familiar with the guild?

I recognize this Qian Kun Bag of yours.

I'm sorry for not being straightforward with you.

I've been guarding the Thunderbolt Ancestral Emblem all this time.

I've been waiting for Emblem Master Guild to come seeking it.

Miss, just wait a moment.

I'll take my tribespeople to retrieve the Ancestral Emblem for you.

Let's go!

Marten. Marten!

What did you do to him?

What could I have done?

I'm just trying to help him.

- Help him? - He fainted in my shrine.

I just looked him over

and saw that he was dying.

So I tried to transfer him some Yuan Power...

but it didn't really help much.

It's a pity.

He won't die, will he?

I mean, I don't know.

You're the Fire Python Tiger?

What about it?

But you don't have wings.

- You look so chewy. - What?

Nothing!

I was saying...

I've got to add some firewood.

Marten!

Marten!

Marten!

You're awake?

- What a trickster. - Didn't you notice I was faking?

I was waiting for that fatty to leave!

- Why? - I think he's a Yimo!

Yimo?

Look, he was just about to eat me!

Eat...

- Why would he eat you? - He has a unique palate!

Did you guys come to save me?

- Where's Lin Dong? - He's looking elsewhere.

- Let's get out of here and find him! - Come on then!

Hold on.

If we run into that fatty, just say...

just say... just say that I need sun to wake up.

- Need sun? - After we leave the shrine

and get out, run for it, got it?

All right. Let's go.

Awake so fast? Where are you going to get some sun?

You're Yimo!

Miss, I'm sorry to have kept you waiting.

Here, have some water and freshen up.

Thank you, Chief.

Was the previous owner of the Qian Kun Bag called Qing Zhi?

- You know him? - Yes.

We were friends for decades.

I won't lie to you, he and I have a unique relationship.

- Unique? - I've been looking for him for years.

Do you have any news of him?

Are you perhaps his daughter?

You're Qing Zhi's daughter?

That's great. No wonder you're so powerful.

I feel at ease leaving the emblem in your hands.

Take care of it.

I would've had no reason to hurt you.

You can only blame your father for this.

You must all remember that demon Qing Zhi!

Today, we're going to use his daughter as an offering to the Thunderbolt Emblem!

So the Thunderbolt Emblem is here.

Demon?

Who's the demon they're talking about?

Save the damsel in distress, get the emblem. Two birds with one stone.

- Let him go! - Let go of the chief!

Your chief is in my hands. If any of you try anything...

Huan Huan, take the Ancestral Emblem so we can get out of here.

It's empty!

Old lunatic, where's the emblem?

- Are you a ghost or a person? - All of us are leftover illusions.

The real Thunder Tribe died out years ago!

No wonder this place looks so lifeless.

So don't think of threatening me with my life!

We'll let you live if you give us Ling Qing Zhu.

Fairy Maiden!

Why are you treating her like this?

Because her father wiped out our entire tribe!

Qing Zhi came to our mountain and fell into the thunder lake.

The former chief was the one who saved him.

He said that he was hurt fighting the Yimo as a Great Sect disciple.

He gained the trust of the whole tribe.

Then he found the whereabouts of the Thunderbolt Ancestral Emblem.

But that night, he led the Fifth Seat Yimo King here to steal it!

They killed all of our tribe, hundreds of people!

Our Spirit Power preserved illusions of us just to get revenge on Qing Zhi!

That... can't be.

My father isn't like that.

Your words mean nothing to me!

Ling Qing Zhu, pay for your father's debts!

I'm going to kill you to avenge the Thunder Tribe!

Let's go!

- Ling Qing Zhu, stand up! - Fairy Maiden!

My father is a murderer. My father is a murderer.

Your father betrayed us mortals and joined hands with the Yimo!

Do you see?

All those who died at the hands of your father.

They're lamenting and crying out in sorrow!

Their blood is on your hands! They're right beside you!

Behold, they're all getting revenge!

Look! The blood of a sinner flows through your veins.

You will never be rid of this stain!

No! No!

I'm a disciple of Nine Heavens Purity Palace!

Killing the Yimo is my utmost duty!

Your father said he was the successor back then!

So what of it?

Lin Dong, aren't you the successor?

You sect disciples are more terrifying than Yimo when you betray your own!

How can you be sure that Qing Zhi isn't actually a Yimo you must kill?

I'm the Emblem Protector.

I won't... I won't betray humankind!

Killing Yimo is my way of life. Killing Yimo is my way of life!

What is this path you pursue?

If it's killing demons, then the first demon you should kill is Qing Zhi!

And yourself!

Sure I think she's weak, but I don't want her to die!

- I'm a sinner! - Fairy Maiden!

- I'm a sinner! - Fairy Maiden!

- Let me die! - Ling Qing Zhu!

- Let me go! - Listen to me, you aren't your father.

Even if he commits the greatest sin, it has nothing to do with you!

You don't have to carry his sins!

Ling Qing Zhu, we risked our lives to save you

and you want to kill yourself?

Ying Huan Huan, you really have perfect timing.

Don't be upset.

Even if thousands of people don't trust you, I'll always trust you.

Why are you hugging him?

Whatever.

At least I have a father and a home.

- I suppose she's pitiful. - Yes.

I'll let you borrow Lin Dong for a while.

Just a while!

I told you I'm not letting you hug him for long!

Are you done yet?

Guys, look!

The Thunderbolt Emblem...

The place indicated on the map is...

the legendary demon realm?

Someone deciphered a spirit map here.
