The other two,
believing he was dead,

returned to the hiding spot
but found the diamond gone.

So they think back, and they put
two and two together.

Hence the visit to Mrs. Roper.

I told her to collect Simon
and go to an address

that I'd given her
where I knew she'd be safe.

And he told me
to never try to contact him,
