Well, it's been a,
uh, hell of a morning.

We've been tucked
away, literally...

In this, uh, natural blind...

Uh, probably about
four and a half hours.

Um, we are wet and cold, and...

And we have not
seen a bit of action.

Dang it.

We've walked miles and
mile these past few days,

and it's always hard to
come home empty handed.

But we still got stuff
that needs to get done.

We... we are not done.

If you think I'm gonna quit you
don't know the king of the forest.

I hate the rain, but the
first time the sun comes out

and warms up that bank over
there near the veggie garden?

There's a caiman
hanging over there.

[Waz speaking]

[Dan] I hate storms out
her in survival situations.

And, um, since the
six of us got together...

We have not had much food.

And it would be nice
to provide for everyone.

We gotta get, like, a
buncha caiman line set.

That's our best chance
of getting a big win.

I'm gonna put a
little bit more effort

in the morning to
set caiman lines.

Because we need
it before extraction.

[Matt] Just for some reason
it's just a real thorny area.

Steven and I just went on this
hunt, looking for a big score.

Didn't get one.

[Steven] Ah, Jesus.

[Matt] You know, EJ and I..

This isn't our challenge.

We came here to help,
we came here to do things.

And there's four people

that have been
here since day one,

that are goin'
for their 60 days.

And I'm gonna push myself
every single minute of every day...

To hope that
everybody's belly gets full.

Unfortunately,

[EJ] Amber, Waz and Dan, I don't think
they realize how tough this last leg is.

Only me, Steven and Matt

have made it to the 60 day mark.

We're not outta the woods yet.

Anybody can go
down for any reason.

[Steven] Ah, I love it,
it's amazing already.

[Amber] I'm grateful
you guys are home.

We were worried
about the rain and stuff.

That... that rain
just boned us, man.

- Yeah.

We've been out
here for two months.

That is a long time for
anybody to be anywhere.

[EJ] Yeah, everyone's
been working so hard.

You guys are battered.

More people have left
here than have stayed.

That tells you how
tough this place is.

- Yeah. Yeah, that's crazy.
- [Dan] Yup.

I didn't even think about that.

[Waz speaking]

When we split up it's kinda cool

'cause we're gonna conquer a
lotta different things at one time.

[Steven] Divide and conquer.

I'm gonna head north with
the blow dart gun in a little bit.

[Matt] All right, sounds good.

[Amber] Steven and I
are gonna tackle fishing.

[Matt] All right,
guys, see ya in a bit.

[Dan] I'm gonna
go bait this line.

- [EJ] She baited 'em.

The caiman line.

[EJ] Oh, oh the caiman line.

[Dan] After starting
on a fan challenge,

doing a 21 day
and coming to this?

Like, I could not asked for
any better legendary partners.

Struggling together for
all of us working to 60,

and growing together as a team.

I'm really hopefully all
of us can come together

and bring in some big
protein before extraction nears.

[Matt] I've done a
lot of challenges.

And the Amazon is one of those
places, if you don't truly respect I

it will swallow you
up and spit you out.

In Ecuador, I was pulled
away from the Amazon too early

with a flesh-eating bacteria

[doctor speaking]

[Matt] Is that more of it there,

is that what you're sayin'?

[Doctor] It's imperative that you,
um, have to go to the hospital.

It's gonna have to be
taken care of outside.

[Sighs]

I'm not ready to go.

[Doctor] I know.

[Matt] And I'll tell
you what not this time.

So, I'm gonna keep
through the hurt.

I'm gonna keep through the pain,

the thorns, the
bug bites, the hell.

[Amber] We're gonna have
to use our skills to the max...

So that we can have
food to sustain ourselves.

Without any meat comin' in,

the fish is the only thing
that's keeping us alive here.

And I always tell
my kids back home,

"whatever it takes, I'm
gonna just keep doin' it.

It's doin' it to it and
makin' it 'til the end."

My gosh, the fish are
just not hittin' right now.

[Steven] This last leg is
always the most difficult.

It's... it's perseverance
of will at this point in time.

This is our last stand
out here in the Amazon.

[Amber] There's a fish on.

[Steven] That sucks
that was a good fish.

Is absolute hell.

put a little bit of food in our bellies.

And every challenge
that's popped up,

we've faced it and
we've overcome it.

We're in this home stretch,

and tryin' to keep goin' and we
want to finish with something strong.

It was a beautiful walk

And, uh, we all needed it.

[Waz] Looks like
it's gonna be tasty.

[Steven] I've never
had rat before.

[Matt] So first thing
you wanna eat...

she's lost most of her body fat.

And at this point, I feel like
she could lay on a cheese grater

and might fall through it.

You gotta wonder if
they have what it takes

to keep themselves
strong all the way to day 60.

[Steven] So I'm sitting
her eating a heart of palm.

take me out of this challenge.

[Matt] We have to eat as
much as we possibly can

to make it to day 60.

[Steven] But the problem is the
main river's just not producing.

[Waz] The fishing
is slowing down.

- [Dan] Yeah.

There's not that many
resources around here.

See if we can't up the...

Up the protein a
little intake, huh.

Nothing to hunt,
so... [Matt] Yeah.

- [Waz] Yeah.
- There's a... there's a creak.

[Waz] Oh, yeah, the
magic fishing hole.

Uh, it's about an hour this way.

Yeah, well, it's a walk,
but it's a beautiful hole.

[Matt] There's a risk of,
uh... of going out there

for potentially nothing, so...

I don't know.

We got a six foot
eel out of that...

Out of that, uh, place.

[Steven] We could
cross our fingers,

and hope we catch a
couple of small fish here.

Or we could expel the
calories, take the time,

go to a place where we
know we're gonna get food,

my old stomping grounds,

and bring home the bacon, baby.

And, um, that's
what we're gonna do.

So, I'm gonna hold
down the fort here.

I'm gonna make sure we
got firewood, fire's going.

We need more food.

We... we need a big score.

[EJ grunts]

We're at the point
now where even, uh...

Mundane tasks are becoming...

[Grunts] ...Cumbersome.

'Cause, uh, they get tiring.

You know, we're
getting to the end here.

You know, I'm a warrior. And I'm a
soldier. And I love being in the fight.

But this challenge has taught me

about humbling myself,
taking care of my body...

And, you know,

this may be my last
Naked and Afraid challenge.

This is a combination of
rotting rat and snake guts.

If anything is going
to bring in a caiman,

it's gonna be this nasty
combination right here.

[Matt] Walking a little
faster than a jungle pace.

Which is a... which
is nice I kinda like it.

It's like the three of
us on a frickin' mission.

We're gonna hike a long
ways, but you know what?

This is worth a try.

Yeah, this is the spot both
of you guys hit up pretty hard.

[Waz and Steven] Yeah.

[Steven] I know the honey holes.

Never thought I'd see it again.

I've done two back-to-back
60 day challenges

within the year.

I put a lotta work
in to get here.

And, uh...

Coming here has been
a dream since I was a kid.

So until that extraction
vehicle pulls up,

and I sit my ass
on a cushion seat

for the first time
in two months,

I am working, and
uh, I am surviving.

[Bird croaks]

[Steven] Welcome
to the magic lake.

[Matt] Wow.

[Steven] This is the spot, this is
what fed me, and Amber and EJ

for weeks.

I was catching
monster fish out here.

There's a huge electric eel. Hangs
out right underneath this branch.

You see a shadow come up,

like, literally like the
Loch Ness monster.

I think its hole's
around right here.

Like, I... I saw it come out
of a hole right here once.

- It's... it's massive.
- Yeah.

That's a lot of fish.

[Waz] It's unbelievable
until you see it, right?

[Steven] It's literally, like,

[Matt] Yeah.

[Steven] The fish are
popping it's a beautiful sight

but we got to
divide and conquer.

I've been here I know
the spots, I got my bait.

Waz is gonna do the same thing.

He also brought
the fishing arrow.

Hopefully he can
get an electric eel.

Matt brought a fishing
rig and he brought his bow.

So he's gonna look around
see if there's any critters.

We're gonna kill it.

[Waz] How much bait

[Steven] About like six shiners,

little bit of guts.

[Matt] These are
some biting little fish.

That's exciting.

Hell yeah.

We are so close to
extraction at this point.

This is exactly what we need.

[Steven] It was
totally worth it.

We started our meal.
We had a great fish boil.

Uh, oily, fatty, deliciousness.

Just straight to the gut,
straight to the bloodline.

But wait, there's more.

There is another pot

with a little red
meat cooking in it.

That's right, we
got a double what?

Like sugar squirrel
stew going on.

- Yeah, we do.
- And...

An old sweet delicacy of
the brush-tailed tree rat.

- That's right.
- Yeah.

[Steven] I never thought I'd
have surf and turf in the jungle,

but this is a first time
for everything, so...

It's really good.

I'm out in the dark now.

Trying to reset this caiman
line with a little rat guts.

Look at that.

It is stinky, smelly, and
it does not smell like fish.

I think it will be something
that will entice a...

Caiman.

A bit nicely.

If he asked me if I was
capable of doing the 60 days,

two months, naked in the Amazon

the epitome of all
survival challenges,

I would have said you were nuts.

Truly separates
you from the pack

and I like, I can't believe
I'm capable of that.

The things that this challenge

makes you realize
about yourself.

You never forget.

The rest of your life
you take that with you,

you carry it with you, you can
find and harness that strength.

It is absolutely amazing.

The third day of splash where we
were at the caiman line earlier today.

People are already passed out

and then all of a sudden
we hear the loudest splash

I've ever heard on this river.

It sounds like it
was a huge caiman.

[Amber] Huge caiman.

[Waz] Yeah, I thought it was.

[EJ] It was big whatever it was.

- [Waz] That's the one we're gonna eat tomorrow.
- [EJ] Yeah.

[Waz] We heard some
big splashing last night.

So I'm gonna go
check the caiman line.

Let's get closer.

I'm Afraid it's gone.

Thought we might have
had something right there.

[Steven] Hey, Waz,
what's the word?

[Waz] Unfortunately, no caiman.

The line got triggered overnight

but I don't know if that was
from a caiman or something else.

There was no bait on it at all.

So it could have been
eaten off by piranhas

- or eels, or whatever, I don't know.
- Yeah.

[Dan] We got to get
protein for extraction.

[Matt] We have
only six days to go.

We see the finish line but we're
in the middle of the Amazon jungle.

And the only way
in here is in a boat

and the only way out
of here is in a boat.

So, um, we got to start a plan.

[Narrator] Still six
days and 7 miles

from their extraction
point on the Amazon river.

The survivalists face
a grueling journey north

through waterways choked with
hyacinth, and filled with caiman,

anaconda, and piranha.

I'll head up
construction of the raft.

I came here just to
help in any way I could.

I definitely would like to
head up the project for sure.

[Dan] I've seen the boats
he'd make on these challenges.

[EJ] When I was
here eight years ago

Laura and I we
built an amazing raft.

It was epic, absolutely epic.

- Getting out of this place.

I look at the raft, for me,
just like my swan song.

Probably not gonna
come back again.

So I've got some thoughts

for us to have a
swan song vessel.

- Absolutely.

He's the OG out here, you know?

He's one of the hardest,
strongest man that I know

and I'm there to support
him 100% of the way.

He's my brother, he's my
friend, he's my fellow legend.

So boats... you know,
I like building things

'cause my father was a carpenter

and boats and watercraft have
been, kind of, a specialty for me.

If this is my last challenge
and my last row out

we're going out in style.

I want us to look like a
bunch of vikings, you know?

And I'm thinking a
solid raft that's long

that could fit all
six of us on it.

Yeah.

[Steven] We want to
do one big long boat

and, you know, we're
gonna keep it skinny.

So we can get through
all this hydrilla out here,

these narrow passageways.

[EJ] So if I could
have just guys

and Amber we need you
to do what you do best

and that is to get us
food 'cause we need food.

Any time you guys need help I'll
be there to help when I'm not fishing.

[Dan speaking]

[Steven] This is our
Amazon uber out of here.

I think we'll set up the
boat side first, guys.

- Put the logs down,

and then bring the big
logs in and start, kinda...

to see what we got.

- [Waz] Perfect.

[Amber] I am literally the
last female standing out here.

This is my redemption.

My, gosh, the fish are
just not hitting right now.

It was so devastating
leaving Louisiana last year

it broke my heart.

[Woman] I'm sorry, I
have to medically tap you.

You need to really be
evaluated at a facility.

[Sobbing]

[Amber] I'm so sorry.

I want to finish this
challenge so bad,

but I am dwindling away.

So no fish on the line.

They all have bait.

We have to work for
every meal we get.

I'm gonna re-bait it every
single day and reset it, check it,

and pray we get a fish.

[EJ] One.

The big thing about the
raft is it just a few phases.

First, gather the materials and
make sure they're gonna work.

There, I'll help.

Well, that's a lot.

[Steven] We chopped
down some trees

for some lashing about
a week and a half ago.

And it's a real soft
wood, it's super buoyant.

It's gonna be great
for raft building.

[EJ] Put it down
right over here.

- Whoa, whoa, got it?
- [Steven] Got it.

[Narrator] EJ's design
calls for a base of logs

held together by the tension of
tightly secured bamboo poles,

and an angular cut on the front

to help maneuver
through the thick hyacinth.

[EJ] All right, boys.

The front here we'll try and start
getting it to the shape we want

like a bow.

Some people hack up the back
end there and make it look rounded.

So it's more hydrodynamic.

Done.

[Waz] The raft's coming alone
really well we've got the main structure

cinched together pretty good.

Making it these shapes, man

has definitely helped move the
boat along definitely in the front.

- Yeah, it'll push those plants under there.
- [Steven] Push those plants...

Yep.

[EJ] All right, we'll use
these bamboos here

as tension bars.

[Waz] We've got the
tension bars in place.

What we have so far
would float all of us.

So that's always a good start.

I got these two bamboos
here for the front tensions.

We just need to get
the fishing line going

and start getting
this all strapped in.

[Matt] Just doing
figure eights around.

Go in and out, in
and out, in and out.

- [Matt] Criss cross.
- [EJ] Criss cross, applesauce and then in between the logs

you can frap it to tighten
them in there better.

Pinch it up, I'll just
pull it tight with this.

You can tie that off.

Yeah, there we go.

[Waz] I'd like to be
noted for the record

that there is no possible way that the
front of this raft is ever gonna fall apart.

- [EJ] All right. That looks great.

is one of the probably most
calorie demanding thing you can do.

It's like going to a straight
hour crossfit workout.

bird that lives here

that's used to every
single inch of this terrain.

It's called a horned screamer I'm
hoping to get them and one more.

So the tribe could
just have a feast.

That bird is tricky.

Getting opportunities on it
strictly getting shots very tricky.

Getting clear shots damn tricky.

I just hit a big old
bird way up in the tree.

Even though it's
got blood on it...

That bird was a
very tough chance.

But I don't want to injure
something I don't eat.

The bird was able to
regain itself somehow

and flew off into this way.

So we have to find it.

at the top of the tree nailed it

ended up going across the river,
just over the trees and disappeared.

it is we can go for a walk.

[Matt] He's hit hard enough

that I don't really feel like he's
gonna be able to fly up any higher.

[Steven] He could have
hit a branch and pass out.

- Yeah and fallen all the way to the ground.

- It's worth trying.
- Definitely worth it.

You should get over there
and go find us our dinner.

The horned
screamer is a big bird.

It's probably got about maybe
7 or 8 pounds of meat on it.

- If I were you guys I would just swim across the river.

You could either swim across
here and I'll walk the shore

and we'll parallel each other.

- Let's do that.

going to his old spot

help guide the group there.

And start a search party
looking for our dinner.

pinpointing exactly

It's just to the

When he dropped down

he went right in that
second little V right there.

then disappeared out of sight.

There's a good chance

that bird went down.

[Amber] We're coming
up right now, Matt.

Where I shot it was right here.

It came down

it dripped some blood kind of
right across where you guys are

and took an exact straight line

this way.

With just like, from me
to you just keep that up.

- Complete 180 degree turn.

We all spread out horizontally.

And try to stay in line
too as much as possible.

If people get way too far ahead

then it kind of [bleep] it up.

In my job I do plenty
of surveys all the time.

Looking for invasive species

or different objects, things
like that, as a biologist.

So I try to line everybody
up in certain intervals

looking for this guy.

And we're just gonna scatter
ourselves as well as we can

and see if we can save it.

You know so this harvest.

I just want to hear a scream.

You know, like a good
scream of success back there.

He could just be
30 feet up a tree

and just looks like
a bird that can fly

but it doesn't want to fly.

How good would it
be if one of us just gets

like a blood drip
on their shoulder?

- [Steven] Right?
- [Amber] That would be legit.

Like predator stuff.

I keep seeing things
that I think are it.

[EJ] Be caught up
200 feet in canopy.

Kind of a crap shoot.

[Steven] Well, food
will go to waste, so...

Unfortunately, the vitals on
that thing is like the size of,

like a, like a tennis ball,

and, uh, it must have gone
through some other parts,

but didn't hit the vitals
'cause he's still, he's still up.

Which is a bummer 'cause
he he's probably going down,

it's just whether or not he'll
eventually go down in front of us.

He's not going
down, but he's hit,

and that is unfortunate

because anytime an animal
gets away it's a horrible moment.

[EJ] Think there's
kind of, like, a little trail

going down to the
river straight ahead.

[Matt] Yeah.

Literally made a search
party looking for this thing

for a couple hours,

and, um, you know,
we didn't find nothing,

the jungle's so thick, he
could've been in the canopy,

he could've been on the ground.

[Waz] I've not seen
one spot of blood.

Really looking forward
for a win like this, but,

the sun is fading quickly..

Possibility is slim to none
able to find it right now.

[Waz] We're not seeing anything.

[Steven] Damn it!

They weren't able to find it, and
it's gonna be getting dark soon.

We'll meet you guys
over back at camp.

[Waz] Yeah, Roger
that, sounds good.

[Steven] As the sun goes down

you truly have to
stop what you're doing

and head back
to camp... dang it.

can't be too safe out here.

I never like when
something gets away.

And, uh, and when you're
out here and it gets away,

Like, that would have been
a good meal for all of us...

feel a little bit hungry

after I've let

It's always rough, you know,
when you're so close to a good meal,

and then you have to
walk away empty-handed.

We're all working hard
out here building rafts,

of disappointing.

maybe even deeper than we were before.

He gave us the slip
just purely because

he was, uh, he was a little
alarmed before we got there,

after my own heart.

Started out as a fan,

did his 21-day challenge,
and finished it solo.

We're in business.

It looks lashed well.

He stays busy, keeps

around, that's the way I do it,

and so, I see a lot
of potential in this kid.

succeeding in these

and how much it
meant to them to, like,

help them grow and
succeed as a person.

Was kinda shocked, like...

It adds a whole new
element to these challenges.

Because I didn't come out here
to be an inspiration to anyone...

But I'm proud to be out
here as a gay man doing this,

and if I can be someone
that people look up to,

it's an honor, really, and
it's a big responsibility.

there's a Turkey

and then stalk up the other side

to see if I can sneak up on it, and
pin it between me and the water.

It's about 100, 150-yard stalk,

but the ground's really dry uh, which
means the leaves are really crunchy,

so, pretty sure he's gonna
hear me coming, and take off.

Now, he can't fly, but
he can walk still, so,

he's got a lot of
hiding spots over there,

a lot of places that he's
gonna be able to get to

that I'm not gonna
be able to find him.

Well, I have no choice

I never normally
do ever on a hunt

and it's not a surprise that

Because you know, last
time Laura and I took off here

from the Amazon eight years ago,

we basically were on
the river for three days.

And that sun will destroy you.

If we start getting destroyed by the
sun and heat exhaustion starts kicking in,

- that's a seriously safety tap out.

that you can feel it.

The last day to hunt
before this challenge is over.

We have to, as a family, have
a big old feast for extraction day.

But for me, it's also all
about internal pride right now.

You know, the Amazon is the
only place I haven't had success.

And that's why I push
myself for hours on end.

Just for that big
score of protein,

so that this time I
can feel complete.

And when you truly
embrace that savage side,

and you hunt for
those epic moments,

anything's possible.

And that's a promise.

[Whispers] What I need to do
now is the tricky part of the day

'cause I got to
follow the shadows.

If I get in the sunlight,
I'm just gonna glow.

So I'm gonna follow the shadows.

It has been a long
run for these guys.

60 days is a long time.

Getting to the end of day 5

and I have been
working on this garden

since basically day one.

After I shat out those
seed and they all sprouted

and I transplanted
them over here,

I've been peeing on them
everyday, fertilizing them.

I don't think anyone's ever cultivated a
garden like this on a challenge before.

But um, unfortunately
they didn't produce fruit.

They... I just think the soil
conditions just aren't perfect out her

enough for them to
produce fruit quickly enough.

But uh, leafy
greens is something

that none of us have had
any of on this challenge

and there's a lot of nutrients
that come along with that

that we are very depleted
in, that we could really use.

So, there's enough plants here,
enough leaves to, I think, stew down

and really give us a good boost for
extraction even bigger than we think.

Despite the fact
that there's no fruit.

If anything at all, it
was a moral boost,

something to make
me smile every day.

I'm going to go back, get out
of the sun and stew them up.

[Water splashing]

I think a fish is
nibbling on the line.

It's stuck under the hyacinth.

Got to get in the water.

I'm still standing.

And that's huge for me.

I'm doing this for my children.

for my daughter, Leila.

Lord have mercy.

This is literally the last night

we're gonna be in our
shelter in our treehouse

and it's crazy to think we've
experienced so much in so little time.

And it was an honor
to be a part of it

and to say I joined
the legends team.

I feel like a privilege.

I started on a fan
challenge, 14 day challenge.

Did a 21.

And now, I went straight to
a 60 day legends challenge.

It's an incredible feeling.

Forever grateful to everything
these challenges provide.

A little bit of bird heart.

[Steven] To be able to go out with a
big, hearty meal right before extraction,

that... that right
there is legendary.

- How's that broth, EJ?
- [EJ speaking]

[Matt] On his possibly
very last adventure,

eating his very last meal
potentially on Naked and Afraid.

- How does it feel?
- It feels really, really good.

It's there. You can't wait...
You can't leave it off forever.

We have accomplished just that.

to be with some of

the greatest
survivalists out here.

And the one person I want
to give a huge shoutout to

is my brother, Steven.

Best survival woman
I've ever met in my life.

very proud of you.

badass extraction outfit.

I cannot believe I'm here.

[Amber] Let's pack up
and get the hell out of here.

[Steven] Bittersweet
leaving we're not done yet.

But the journey ahead is arduous

and it's full of dangers.

We got to stay vigilant.
We got to stay smart.

And that's what we've
been doing for a long time.

So I know we're really
ready to get out of here.

We'll only take what we need,

knives, a little bit of
string to repair this thing,

you guys got some
water to consolidate?

[Waz] Yeah.

[EJ] Put this one
on there now...

So we'll hopefully be
fully loaded with water.

I'm getting déjà vu all
over about the Amazon.

Because I said that Amazon
extraction last time was tough,

but this journey's
gonna be a long distance,

and it's hot, heat's already up.

I don't think any of us have
been on any trek like this before.

[Dan] We have to go out
to the Amazon up here.

- [Steven] Yeah, north.
- It's basically straight north.

We're down in these
tributaries way down here.

So we got miles to go.

[Narrator] To reach their final
extraction point over seven miles away,

the survivalists must
head north up the tributary,

battling thick hyacinth
and scorching temperatures

before entering the open waters

of the Amazon river.

- [EJ] That's a lot of miles we're gonna cover today.
- Yeah.

So everybody keep
track of your hydration,

and while we're rowing,

every 30 minutes
if we have to...

- [Matt] Yeah.
- Take some water breaks.

Oh, yeah.

[Steven] Just gotta be
vigilant and do what we do best.

That's what we've been
doing the whole time.

- We gotta look out for each other.
- Yep.

Survival does not end yet.

[Steven] Give me one,
two, three, legends!

[All] Legends!

[Steven] Hell yeah.

[Waz] So the raft looks amazing.

EJ's done a great job
heading that project up,

but we gotta be cautious
getting this raft in the water

because we're pushing
it down this hill on skids,

and it is so heavy, if
it gets away from us,

you know, there's a chance
someone's gonna get caught under there

or twist their ankle or get
cut up or something like that.

We don't want an injury taking
someone out on the last day.

[EJ] All right, guys.

- [Matt] All right, ready? One, two, three.
- [Dan] Two, three.

[Grunting] Damn.

- [Matt] Okay, two, three.
- [Amber] Two, three.

[Amber] Oh. Oh,

Just gotta lift on my side

a little bit to get over the
hump, and we're good.

[Steven] Getting the raft in
the water, slow and steady.

[Steven] EJ had a vision, and
he killed it. It looks amazing.

Um, but it's heavy.

- [Dan] That's flooding now?
- [EJ] Yep.

[Steven] This thing probably
weighs, like, 1,000 pounds,

and EJ, Matt, and Waz are
probably 200 pounds each.

There's a lot of
weight on top of it.

[EJ] Whoa, whoa,
whoa, whoa, whoa.

We got a problem.
It's starting to sink.

It's too heavy in the back.

Maybe rotate Amber
and Steven back here.

[Amber] Mmm,
we're underwater too.

[Steven] The bottom is
sitting on the ground right now.

[Dan] [Bleep], these
logs are way underwater.

[Matt] We would be sinking
further if this bottom wasn't touching.

We're sunk.

We got a problem.

It's starting to sink.

[EJ] Whoa, whoa,
whoa, whoa, whoa.

[Matt] So we're sunk.

I don't know if it's
gonna float in general.

[Steven] The raft
is sitting a little low.

Without buoyancy, we're stuck.

And to walk through the jungle

to the Amazon river
would take us weeks.

[Matt] We're gonna have
to add logs underneath it.

We're talking
probably 300 pounds,

400 pounds overweight
here at least, minimum.

Yeah, I think Matt's right.

[EJ] All right, I thought
it was a great idea.

In most cases, you want
to test your water craft out

before you even
get to this point,

but I felt pretty confident
on my estimates

of how much wood
we had down there.

My estimate
was a little bit off,

and I can admit when I'm wrong.

That's disappointing,
but it's what it is.

But I also knew I
had a backup plan,

and so when there's a problem,

gotta go to the backup plan.

- [Dan] Okay, we're doing all three of these?
- [EJ] Yeah.

I adapt and I overcome.

[Matt] One, two, three.

[Steven] We have some more
logs we cut down a while ago.

We're gonna cram them underneath,
and we're gonna double our buoyancy.

We'll float twice as high,

and floating twice as high
will float us down the river.

[Matt] Try this one first?

- [EJ] Go ahead.
- [Grunting]

- [Amber] There it is. Nice.
- [EJ] Yep.

[Matt] Let's get a second
one under right now.

[Dan] Okay.

[Grunting]

[EJ exclaiming in pain]

- [Matt] You okay?
- [EJ] Yep.

[Waz] We've got three extra logs
that we need to get underneath this raft.

They're gonna run
longways on the raft.

That's gonna add an equal amount

of lift on both sides,
which is what we need,

and then we're gonna
get them strapped in.

[EJ] One, two.

It's under.

- Nice.
- There we go.

Nice.

[Waz] I'm hoping
those three extra logs

will add 450 pounds of buoyancy.

If not, we'll have to start
stripping this raft down

and lightening it up.

And we gotta get on the
water, we gotta get going.

[EJ] Sitting high.

[Waz] Yeah, it's some
good buoyancy there.

I don't know if it's 450 pounds,

but we'll find out pretty quick.

Okay.

Oh, yeah, that's
most of the weight.

And we're well out of the water.

- [Amber] Oh.
- [Matt] It's floating much better.

[Amber] We're
floating, we got a raft.

Nice job, team.

- Nice job.
- [Dan] Looks good.

- [Matt] All right, let's try pushing off.
- [Steven] Back it up.

[Amber] We're moving
guys, looking good.

- [Steven] Yeah.
- All right, so long camp!

Day 60, baby!

- We're on the water!
- [Steven] Yeah, team!

- [Amber exclaims]
- [Matt] Yeah!

[Grunting]

[Sighs]

[Waz] Lead our way
through this hyacinth.

[EJ] Yeah.

Hyacinths are
ridiculous in the front.

[Waz] Yeah, this is
gonna be a bit of a thing.

[Matt] It could take us all day
to get 100 yards in this [bleep].

[Amber] Oh, my gosh.

The hyacinth and the
vines are a nightmare.

It's taking us so much
time to cut through them.

[Grunting]

[EJ] Man, this
stuff is ridiculous.

[Steven] Hyacinth's
thick. It's exhausting.

You know, me and Amber, we
have to move it out of the way.

It's like two paddles
forward one paddle back.

[Waz] There's some clear
patches ahead as well,

so just keep pushing.

[EJ grunting]

[Steven] But we have
to get to this wider water.

The wider the water gets,
the faster the river flows,

the less hyacinth, the
less vines there's gonna be,

and the quicker we're gonna
be able to get to our destination.

Keep pushing, guys.

Keep going.

[Waz] Keep pushing, we
got no choice here, people.

[EJ] Got a long
ways to go, guys.

Long ways to go.

[EJ exhales and grunts]

[Dan] It's hot right now.

Sweating like a bitch.

It is mid-day out
here and baking.

The humidity is
through the roof.

[EJ] Holy hell.

Get some water back
here, get some water.

[EJ] This is tough.

This is a lot of
physical exertion.

It's sweltering, it's hot.

You can feel it starting
to wear on people.

[Steven] I gotta take
a little breather, guys.

I'm kinda in the sun over here.

[EJ] It's quite possible that
somebody could pass out.

Thanks for the canopy too, EJ,

'cause it's saving
our butt right now.

[Matt] Otherwise, we would've
been lobsters right now.

[Grunting]

[Amber] It is so hot.

Without that canopy,
we would burn.

It is unbelievable how much
that canopy is saving our butt.

- [Exhales]
- [Steven] [Bleep] Hell.

[EJ] We're all hurting,
guys, just keep going.

[Grunting]

Aw, man.

[Grunting]

[Matt] Keeping this pace
up for hours is rough as hell.

[Waz] Every time I push
this paddle through the water,

I'm getting muscles
cramped up in my back.

My body's feeling it.

I'm aching all over my
body my back especially,

cramping up with
every single stroke I pull.

But getting home, talking to
my kids, talking to my girlfriend,

that's gonna keep
pushing me through.

This is just rough.

Just gotta keep pushing.

Keep pushing.

- [Dan] Dig in!

- [Waz] Keep paddling.
- [Matt] Keep going, dig in.

[Steven] I don't
have anything left.

[Amber] I literally am at
muscle failure. It is so hot,

but knowing this
is my redemption,

I'm never gonna
accept failure again,

and I'm gonna keep working hard.

I believe in myself, and I
believe in my teammates here.

This is the last push.

[Dan] Just gotta
get further out.

[Amber] Look at that!

Looks like a big lake ahead.

[Steven] That's the Amazon!

[Shouting]

[Waz] That's the Amazon

[Steven] We beat you!

That's right!

in the Amazon river.

[Dan] Guys, check

60 days in the Amazon!

60 days!

Whoo!

[Waz] This is a huge
accomplishment.

There were aspects
of this challenge

that were definitely the hardest
things I've ever had to endure.

That first week was one of the
hardest weeks I've ever had to endure,

and that jump from 21 to
60 has not been done before.

Dan and I are the
first two to do that.

And when my grandkids
come to my kids

and say, "what was
grandpa was like?"

I wanted to come
out and have a record

of this is who I am.

This is what I'm made of.

We did it!

[Dan] Yes!

[Amber] I did 60 days

in one of the most extreme,
harshest environments.

The success in this is huge.

Failure was hard
last year in Louisiana.

I get really sad
thinking about it

because it was the
hardest thing I ever failed at,

and I tried so hard, and my
body just wasn't agreeing with it.

[All shouting]

[Amber] Knowing I
had one last opportunity

to come out on a
60-day challenge,

my heart needed it.

Whoo! Oh, god!

I feel like a badass. I feel
like a strong woman leader.

I'm never gonna let
anything stop me ever again.

- [All laughing] - [Steven]
So proud of you, sweetheart.

Only girl to make it.

Whoo! [Laughs]

[Dan] My last challenge,
I finished alone,

and knowing that I
crossed the finish line

with this amazing team of
legends, all of us are legends now...

[Waz grunting] Oh.

[Dan] ...It really just
shows how it doesn't matter

how different of a person
you might be from them...

- [Steven] One more!
- [Dan] ...We all share this common experience...

[Steven] Oh, man.

[Dan] ...To work and grow
and learn as a team, and...

It's...

It's all worth it.

I was pulled away

from the Amazon too early
with a flesh-eating bacteria.

Not this time.

This time,
redemption's been had.

this time to help the others

and right now, knowing
that Dan and Waz

and Amber and Steven have
made it to the full 60 days,

- is a true accomplishment.

This was a tough one.

Being the very first
one to ever do this,

I have such
gratitude in my heart,

and what it's meant to me

in my life.

Couldn't ask for a better ride.

I have mad respect
for this challenge

but I have to understand my
body and what this takes out of it...

And my heart will always
be out on this challenge,

and I'll be rooting for
the others all the way.
