The team that comes up
with the most moneyfor the art wins.

This is a tough one,
because what makes good art
is entirely subjective.

There is no set market value,
so you really need to
think this one through.

I was nominated the night before
to be project manager,

and so I knew the challenge
was gonna be very, diffierent
because art is very, subjective,

and it's not somethi ng that you can
ki nd of push as a normal product.

And it's gonna be all about, really,
which artist we choose.

When we walked into Giles's, I thought,
"Okay. Here's this quintessential
New York artist...

withsplatteragainst the wall,
andhe calls it art, "but this guy
hada diffierent edge.

Yeah, you know,
I don't normally allow this,
but ifyou get up close and touch it--

particularly here, for example--
ifyou run your finger over this--

these mounds start out
as hairin mypaint.

Ifyou run your finger--

[ Omarosa ] He wanted
to insert his D.N.A. into each
ofhis pieces, so essentially,

he's, like, shaven under his arms
and his legs...

and put hair droppings
and toenail clippings in his artwork.

- Every pai nti ng is authenticated
by genetic materials, and it's just--

[ Omarosa ]
I've been here for 10 minutes, and
I've already connected withyour work.

- Well, you know--

Would I choose to work with Omarosa
in the real world? Absolutely not.

I don't agree with her style. She doesn't
agree with my style.

From the minute I walked in, I knew

felt stronglyabout him
and his work.

I'm a nature-based
abstract painter.

Sometimes the background
could look like the inside ofan old cave--

and on top ofit,
some really gestural effiects.

What we I i ked was he was very si ncere.

He has beautiful artwork.
And he was explaining it to me,
who doesn't know much about art,

and I think that
would be a real selling point.

I'm not using anytrickery,.
I'm using good oldpaint,

and I'm weaving a story, with it--

in a very intelligent,
sophisticated way.

[Nick ] I like it.
[ Katrina ] I love it.

That's phenomenal.

[ Bill] The next artist we saw was Leah,
a cute little Italian girl who lived
in Brooklyn, worked out ofher house.

- Basically, she painted snapshots
ofher life.

- Forpeople who don't know so much
about art, it's--

you know, they can
easily relate to the photograph.

You look at it and you like it,

I personally loved Leah's work.
I thought it was fun,

and I thought that
she'dbe successful.

When we first walkedin to Meghan's,
I was so excited.

I mean, I thought her apartment
was amazing.

She seemed passionate. I mean,

This is a series called Psyche and Smut,

- andit's about ayounggirl, Psyche,
and hertwin sister, Smut.

And Psyche is this very,prim
and properpinafore little girl,

and Smut is this rather aberrant,
naughty little girl.

And by the way,
the city's ruled by frogs
and their concubines.

She has a lot ofdiffierent genre...

and has this weird kind
oftheme goin ' on.

I don't know if our customers'l l
I i ke it, but I 'll tell you what--
she's a home run hit,

because heraverage price peritem
is 4,000 bucks,

where everybody else's average price
is only 1,500 bucks.

[Kwame ]
Meghan, what's the average price point
ofone ofyourpieces?

[Meghan ]
I wouldsayabout 4,000.

[Kwame ] What we liked about Meghan
was-- Meghan's got 20 pieces.
We knew her work was extreme.

We knew it was risque. But we looked
at herprice points and ability to deliver.

I f we sel I three to four of Meghan's work,
we're gonna win this easily.

- [Kwame ]And the price point on these?
- [Meghan ] These are 7,000.

[Kwame ] Okay.
[Heidi] These are great.

[Kwame ] I didn't come on this game
to be practical. I had a nicejob
on Wall Street, an easylife.

But I said I had my whole life to be ordinary
and wanted a chance to be extraordinary.

I took the same philosophy when it came
to beingproject manager on this task...

and making the critical decision
as to which artist we were gonna go with.

You're absolutely right. We would
be taking a calculated risk.

I'll take two positions.
The first: I have some concerns
about going with Meghan.

- I will tell you that.
The medieval artwork is--
- [Kwame ] Herstuffiis weird.

I couldnever explain it.

From the artperspective-- I'm
just givingyou the art perspective--
you all can do the numbers--

I have big concerns with Meghan.

She's got something that's whimsical.
That's from an artistic perspective.

look at this task in an artistic way.

You have to look at this
as a busi ness task, and to be honest,

I don't think Mr. Trump gives a rat's ass
about the art.

He wants to see
who can make the most money,
and that's what we do.

which is really a gamble,

It's very different art.
It's very esoteric.

It's very tailored
to a different set--you know,
very small group of people.

I took mytime, and I did whatpeople do
in art galleries:

I allowed the patron
to explore the piece...

and to express to me their interest,
and once they'd expressed their interest,
that's when I zeroed in on the sell.

The only thing we have
that's not even provocative is--

is a picture of a cat
or a picture of a little girl
standing alone.

- This one--
- Essentially, we introduced her...

to a piece called "The Hollowed Pussy."

[ Meghan ]
I actually photographed this...

in a taxidermist studio in Paris.

It's not quite clear
ifthis is an undead kitty or not.

He bought tremendous amounts

"I loved the look oftheir new products:"

And I say, here's a case where you hated
the look ofthe work ofthe person
you were selling. And I don't get it.

I hoped and wished that we could
certainly succeed at the task,
but I knew in my heart that we couldn't,

which is why I expressed very, early on,
before we decided on the artist,
that this was not the right choice.

What I am concerned with
