It was in my family
for four generations.

Everyone worked it
at one point or another,

my granddad, my dad, me.

The place meant the world to me.

I practically grew up on it.

And now it's gone.

Well, let's just say it
brings up a lot of old stuff.

It's complicated.

My family did their best,
but the economy shifted.

Farm changed hands.

The last owner sold out
to a developer, made a killing,

and here we are, offices.

It sounds like you had

I always pictured my own kid
growing up on it one day,

learning, seeing,
smelling everything that I did.

It was practically
a way of life,

and it's also how our family's
Snowflake Festival began.

Right here was
the pathway of trees.

It's where my Grandpa Tom
met my Grandma June

61 years ago this Christmas Eve.

Right after he helped my grandma

find the perfect tree,

it started to snow, so she says,
