[Episode 8]

The Yimo has been after the Ancestral Emblem for a long time.

It will be on the move tomorrow.

You want to use Lin Dong as bait again?

The Yimo must be killed at all costs.

We both know that.

Did Lin Lang Tian know from the start that the Yimo was in the Lei family?

Everything that happened afterwards... was part of his plan.

What a bunch of fools.

How could destroying the Yimo... be that simple?

You're the one who provoked the Lei family and hurt Qing Tan.

You're the one who kept the talisman for yourself and lured the Yimo here!

You're the one with a cultivation so weak, you can't protect your family!

If I hadn't protected you in secret, you would have died long ago!

Does that mean my father and I deserved to be used?

Lin Dong, don't try to lecture me.

The Yimo must die!

There we go with the Yimo again.

What does it have to do with me?

Why did my father have to die for you people to get rid of the Yimo?

If you ever leave Qingyang, I will answer that question.

You just wait.

Chief, both Lei Zhong and Lei Li have died.

The Lei family has lost its leaders, and now everything is a mess.

One territory, one owner.

Qingyang belonged to the Lin family.

Tell everyone in our clan, starting tomorrow, Qingyang is ours.

- This is great! - We never have to suffer anymore!

No more pent-up frustrations!

Who knew that Lin Xiao would be the one to give us this.

Chief, you'll be the master of this region from now on.

We can't be so full of ourselves already.

Qingyang was never just ours.

All its citizens have been eating out of the Lei family's hand for years.

Now the Lei family has descended into chaos.

It won't be easy to explain this to the emperor.

We don't know what will... become of Qingyang yet.

You must be worrying over nothing.

Lin Xiao died for this.

There's no way his son will let this go.

- Kill it! - Kill it!

- Move it! - Kill it!

What are you all doing? Have you gone crazy?

You and your father destroyed Qingyang!

You and your father destroyed Qingyang!

Kill it!

You killed First Young Master Lei and destroyed the Lei family!

You've ruined our livelihood!

It's all your fault!

I'm going to kill you!

Kill him!

You took our Yang Yuan stone lode, but destroyed our livelihood!

- It's not fair! - It's not fair!

Kill him!

- Avenge the Lei family! - Kill him!

- Kill him! - Get him!

Kill him for the Lei family!

Chief! Say something!

Everyone, I shall speak in the name of justice!

Lin Xiao and his son put both the Lin and Lei Families in great danger.

They insisted on causing trouble and putting everyone at risk.

- Tie Lin Dong up! - Yes.

Lin Dong!

What are you doing? What do you think you're doing?

Chief! You can't do this! Chief!

Lin Dong!

What are you doing?

Chief! You can't do this!

You can't do this!

Citizens, please rest assured.

The Lei and Lin families have been allies for countless years.

I won't abandon you.

The Lin family will take care of Steel Wood Manor and Qingyang.

Nothing will change!

I assure you all that you won't be left to fend for yourselves!

Lin Dong!

Lin Dong!

What are you doing?

Why are you doing this?

Why are you doing this?

Lin Lang Tian!

Senior Ling, did you need something?

Please do as you promised.

I need the Yimo sealed within you.

It was captured by Yuan Gate.

Pardon me, but I won't be able to comply.

Rest assured. I'm not here to take your credit.

I just want to ask it a few questions.

Senior Sister Ling, I paid such a hefty price to capture the Yimo.

I really can't let it out right now.

I must interrogate it.

You're pushing me.

I have no choice.

We agreed to work together. I was wrong to trust you.

Lin Dong.

Don't blame me.

You and your father caused such a mess.

Not only will it affect Qingyang...

the emperor himself will look for someone to blame when he finds out.

The entire clan will be affected if that happens.

So I have to nip this in the bud.

The best thing I can do for you right now is send you to the emperor to handle.

That's the only way to keep the public happy

and the emperor from growing suspicious.

Sacrificing one person for a clan.

If your father was still alive... he'd do the same.

I'm sorry.

Lin Dong.

The Yimo specializes in possessing other bodies.

I'm not too sure that I'd be able to control it myself.

Should I help you?

You really are hurt. Why don't you return?

Don't force yourself.

Lang Tian!

Lang Tian!

Are you mad?

What are you doing?

What are you doing?

Move! Get away.

Lang Tian, what's going on?

What is it? Tell me!

Is the Yimo-- Is it devouring you?

- Qing Tan! - Yimo?

Qing Tan!

Qing Tan!

- Qing Tan! - Lang Tian.

Qing Tan... I'm sorry!

The Chief had Lin Dong imprisoned.

Hurry and help him.

Qing Tan!

Lin Lang Tian.

If you won't go, I will.

What is going on?

You're the one who provoked the Lei family and hurt Qing Tan.

You're the one who kept the talisman for yourself and lured the Yimo here!

You're the one whose cultivation is so weak, you can't protect your family!

If I hadn't protected you secretly, you would've died long ago!

He's right.

I'm worthless.

Go out into the world.

Be a man.

If you ever leave Qingyang, I will answer that question.

Lin Dong! Hey, Lin Dong!

It's me, Lin Dong!

Lin Dong!

Pitiful bastard. Your heart must be a mess right now.

Yes.

What about it?

Want to come inside the stone talisman for a bit?

- I can go in? - You can if you listen to me.

- What are you thinking?- I have an idea.

Close your eyes, focus your mind.

Repeat the lines you read from the manual.

"Spiritual movement begins with life."

- Come on out. - You got in?

This is... the inside of the stone talisman?

That's right! I don't invite just anyone in.

What do you think? Fantastic scenery, right?

The trees are as old as the celestial spirits

the sun never rises, the moon never sets, and it's always spring and autumn.

This place is too serene. I can't stay here.

You're right. I've lived here for over a century.

Would I have trapped myself in here if I hadn't lost all my powers?

- What are you getting at? - I have no ulterior motive.

But really, the Lin family has treated you horribly.

I've always been a burden to them.

And to my father.

That doesn't sound like you.

- You speak like you know me. - Of course I do!

Look, I'm in the talisman all day long.

I bear witness to everything you say and do.

I can also guess what you're thinking in here.

You normally act so carefree, like you don't have a care in the world

but actually, a lot goes on in there.

For example, Qing Tan. Lin Lang Tian. Savage girls, fairy maidens...

- And-- - Pause!

I keep the stone talisman on me. I believe that you can hear my heartbeat.

But knowing my worries?

You don't believe me, but you're out of ideas, aren't you?

Then tell me what I'm thinking right now.

You're thinking of your father.

You're wondering what your father meant by what he said.

He wants you to go where you belong.

He wants you to become a hero.

A hero.

What is a hero?

What's so good about a hero?

You should learn from me.

I can stand up, even when I'm confronted by difficulties.

That's what a hero is.

You're still trying to coerce me into getting you out of here.

I think... you must be scared.

Says who?

Fine, you're not.

Get out of here. Don't just die on me.

Don't embarrass me.

Lin Dong, have you come to?

Are you that weak?

I'm weak?

If I'm so weak, why did you work so hard to console me?

Console you? I was just pulling you back from the edge of the cliff.

I'm Grandpa Marten! You should thank me.

Thank you?

You're the one who has to rely on me, your master, to get you out.

Who made you my master?

Screaming won't help.

I can't just die like this.

Kill this demonic tiger too. Don't leave anything behind!

Chief! This is bad! Lin Dong killed himself!

What?

What are you doing?

Lin Dong, you were faking?

What do you want?

Calm down. Calm down.

What are you doing? Stay calm! Don't!

If you want to leave your chief some dignity, get out of the way!

Lin Dong, don't be rash!

Lin Dong, let's talk. Let me go.

If you want Yang Yuan stones, you can have them all!

Don't joke with me right now.

I'm the one who got the Yang Yuan stones.

- Why would I care about yours? - Then what do you want? Tell me!

Yes, tell us what you want!

- Let the Fire Python Tiger go. - Lin Dong!

Let the chief go first, or else I'll kill this tiger of yours!

Stop this. If you keep going, even I won't be able to save you.

Don't be afraid, Fire Python Tiger!

You're a demonic beast. Don't kowtow to these evil people!

Lin Dong, you're really asking for it!

Savage girl!

Seriously, brat.

You can't even handle these idiots?

Lady Ying. You aren't a Lin. Stay out of this!

- What if I don't?- I'm a Lin!

Junior Ying, please get Lin Dong out of here.

Let's go.

Big cat, take us away.

Lin Lang Tian! What are we supposed to do if Lin Dong gets away?

You heard the chief! After him!

Yes!

Chief, people should be forgiven when possible.

I'm a member of the Lin Family, but I'm also a Yuan Gate disciple.

Today, I will be bringing the Yimo back to Yuan Gate.

Once the Yimo is destroyed, peace will be restored to the world.

The emperor won't be looking for trouble.

Lin Dong won't bother you again either.

You should let go now.

Come, this way.

Watch out.

Are you all right?

I finally managed to get you out.

Do you know where Qing Tan is?

You do? Where is she?

The last time I saw her, she was with Lin Lang Tian.

He should know.

Wait for me!

Where's Qing Tan?

Qing Tan.

Qing Tan.

Lin Dong.

I'm here. I came back alive.

Don't cry, it's all right now.

Lin Dong, you can't stay in Qingyang.

Come to Yuan Gate with me.

- My senior will take you in. - Forget that!

Yuan Gate people are even more self-obsessed than the Lin family!

- Come with me to Dao Sect! - Ying Huan Huan!

- Am I wrong? - He's my brother!

- He should come with me. - And I saved his life!

- He should go with me-- - Enough!

I'm not going anywhere.

I'll never leave you.

Come on. Let's go home.

I'll walk my own path.

Lin Lang Tian, I don't care if it takes a couple of years or a couple decades.

One day... I will beat you.

Lin Lang Tian.

The Yimo is yours. Why don't you hurry back to your senior for praise?

Where is Qing Zhu?

It seems that she still hasn't returned.

Junior hasn't finished dealing with some matters.

She has no respect for me or Purity Palace.

Mistress, she told me that the Yimo was subdued by a Yuan Gate disciple.

She's determined to bring the Yimo back, hence the delay.

Delay? That's how little regard she has for our palace rules.

The matter regarding her father has long bothered her.

It's understandable that she would want an explanation.

I beg you to not criticize her too much.

"Don't criticize her too much?"

Ling Qing Zhu may be the most talented disciple in this palace

but she's young and knows little of the world.

She acts impulsively and thoughtlessly.

We both know that she's acting on her own accord

but no one else does!

They all assume that she's acting on our palace's orders.

If she does something wrong, it will be our problem, not hers, understand?

Rou.

I know that you... and Ling Qing Zhu are close.

But you must bear in mind

that your actions could bring great danger to Purity Palace.

I apologize, Mistress.

I acted thoughtlessly.

In the future, I will heed your advice.

Get up.

Tell Qing Zhu that who gets the Yimo doesn't matter.

Whether it's Yuan Gate, Dao Sect, or us...

It's all the same to the world.

Yes, Mistress.

I'll have her return as soon as possible.

Master Yan, the Emblem Ancestor's successor has nowhere to go now.

Aren't you going to convince him to join the Emblem Master Guild again?

A fish with nowhere to go has its ways of finding food.

Really? Has peace not been restored?

Peace?

All the fun has just begun.

You see?

When one problem leaves, another comes in a moment's notice.

What do we do then?

Can you stop stepping on my clothing?

"What do we do?"

Wait and see.

What's the rush? The Yimo isn't some beauty!

Qing Tan.

We're homeless from now on.

My home... is wherever you are.

I'll make sure you're never hungry.

That you won't be bullied.

Where are we going now?

Your sights will be set higher.

You'll see a more expansive world.

It's a responsibility, but also an opportunity.

Lin Dong, you don't want to stay in Qingyang forever, do you?

I want you to go to him. Go out into the world.

Be a man.

Father, I'll listen to you! I'm going to go out into the world!

These people are such fools.

How could destroying the Yimo be so simple?

Xuan Su. It's time we open business at Mystical Item House.

It seems that peace won't come until the Yimo is destroyed for good.

Let it come.

Greetings, Senior Ling Zhen.

I heard earlier that a disciple snuck out of the sect.

I wondered who it was. Turns out it was Mu Qian Qian's junior.

What was your name again?

Lin Lang Tian.

"Lin Lang Tian?"

How many years has it been? You haven't even entered the main hall yet.

Yet you've already begun to disrespect the sect's rules.

Senior Ling Zhen.

The Yimo turned up near my hometown.

So Senior Sister Mu sent me after it.

Mu Qian Qian is such a fool.

Sending a lowly disciple like you to face the Yimo Emperor...

It appears she was fooled by its outer appearance and forgot its horrors.

Senior.

The Yimo is temporarily sealed within my Yuan pill.

Please let me see the sect masters.

- If we waste any more time-- - You do have some endurance.

You're hurt. Why don't I take the Yimo Emperor to the masters for you?

You should go get some rest.

That won't be necessary.

The Yimo is dangerous. I should go in person--

You just can't let it go, can you?

Hand the Yimo over!

- Move! Mu Qian Qian, what are you doing? - That's what I'd like to ask you.

You're one of Yuan Gate's three princes, yet you're tormenting a fellow disciple.

You want to take credit for someone else's work?

Aren't you afraid of being laughed at?

You--

I sent Lin Lang Tian down the mountain.

I'm not as selfish as you are.

The masters will hear about your contributions.

What's the rush?

Senior. Senior. I can't keep it down anymore.

Qing Zhu, Mistress is waiting in the main hall. Be careful.

Mistress.

I sent Su Rou after you multiple times.

But you refused to return.

What is Nine Heavens Purity Palace to you?

The Yimo has returned. I just wished to fulfill my duty as a disciple.

"A disciple's duty?"

All right.

Nine Heavens Purity Palace has its own duty and destiny too.

Do you recall what it is?

Nine Heavens Purity Palace vowed to the Emblem Ancestor

to search for the Ancestral Emblem and protect his successor.

Mistress.

The Ancestral Emblem is where the Yimo goes.

Have you found it then?

I'm obviously still looking.

Everything has its order.

Everyone has a duty.

If everyone acted on their own accord

it would cause chaos in the grand scope of things.

Qing Zhu.

So far, only a Seventh Seat Yimo King has been subdued.

There are four more of them.

As for the Yimo Emperor that has been sealed...

do you know what could've happened with all of you acting on your own?

But someone has to do something.

- Qing Zhu is right. - Why are you still so foolish?

Tell me the truth.

Do you really not harbor any self-interest. looking for the Yimo?

Then what about you, hiding in this palace for your own safety?

That's enough!

The Emblem Master will exhaust himself eventually.

But the Ancestral Emblem shall be passed down.

There's no need for us to interfere. Just work together.

Lei!

Those who don't respect the rules cannot stay.

From this day forth, Ling Qing Zhu is...

abolished from Nine Heavens Purity Palace.
