of Sioux and Cheyenne Indians

at the Little Big Horn in 1876.

Custer and 264 officers and men were slaughtered.

Two years later, the American press and public

were still arguing about the Custer tragedy.

The General's enemies called him a "glory hunter"

who unknowingly led the Seventh Cavalry into a massacre.

The General's friends said he was betrayed by subordinate officers.

Time has proved both theories false.

But in the bitterness of the dispute,

his widow.

You'll remain standing, gentlemen.
