being rated

because I have no idea
if these girls are gonna

appreciate the talent show
piece that I put together.

sometimes we live in a bubble,

because most places that we go
in drag are safe places.

even in places like New York,

in the last year,
I've been feeling the unease.

the most entertaining thing.

But I'm still so insanely proud

that I could do that
on national television

and speak that message
to millions of people

who maybe do love drag

but don't realise, like,

we're more than just characters.

We're actual human beings.

You have to protect us too.

So I do not regret
a single second of it.

And it was clearly

But do you think
that your number was the best

representation of, like,
what you bring and your talent

and what you do
as a drag artist?

But I'm happy with what I did.

That's the kind of drag
that I love doing

and that speaks to my heart,

doing numbers about issues
in the world.

just leaned into the comedy

and done something

But at the same time, for me,

making a statement is
kind of worth the risk.

by doing things safely.

the extra mile
