The young man saw her again today in bus number 33.

He did not know if she noticed him.

SET POlNT

Suddenly it seemed to him that it was not a bus

but a small hut on the edge of a swamp,

with just the two of them there.

When the evening comes, they prepare something to eat.

At night he sits beside her bed, watching her sleep peacefully.

And wolves keep howling outside.

Leo, someone really wants to get hold of you! - Hustle it up!

I'm sorry, Evelyn. I went too far.

If that's what you've decided,

I'll think about it.

Why don't you take one of your sleeping pills. Get some rest.

Where are you going?

To work, darling.

I'll throw the pieces away.

I need to get rid of someone.

It's time to pay.

Can I get you anything else?

Perhaps one of those cakes...

Whatever that is, strawberry or raspberry...?

Strawberry.

Thank you.

Is there something I can help you with?

Can anyone be helped?

You've had enough. I can't get you wet.

I guess we went over a little.

It's his job.

Let's go to eat. - I haven't got time.

Take my bag.

CENTRAL CRlMlNAL POLlCE DEPARTMENT

Harry Hunt.

Hello!

Brandy, please.

Leo! Where were you?

I've been sitting here by myself like some idiot.

That's what you are. Let's go.

Check, please!

You know what happened to me this morning!

A guy in a yellow shirt came to our table.

You'll never guess what he had in his hand! - What was that?

Cake. - Why?

I don't know. - We had an agreement.

I know. - I'm not into big girls.

But I'm not fat. - Not yet.

I made you a key.

But it's not yours yet.

Sorry. - It's OK.

Looks like someone hasn't got laid in a while.

Menopause?

Didn't you forget something? - No.

How many cell phones have I bought you?

Dumbshit.

Leo!

Oh my God! What happened?

Leo! Wake up! Oh my God!

Why don't you breathe?

Your name? - Alice.

You were here? Do you know him?

We'll have to ask you to come with us.

Superintendent, your wife is on the crime scene.

Is it an apartment? - No. 4.

Your phone number?

50 46 222.

Evening!

Names. Contact numbers.

Fine.

Shot once in the chest. Died on the spot.

The shot was fired from that direction.

Very good. I'll take it from here.

Tell me exactly what you saw.

It's all your fault! This is all your fault!

Calm down.

It's him! It's him! - Take it easy!

Go start the coffee. I'll be home in a minute.

Calm down, Evelyn. It's going to be alright.

Go.

Sad story.

I don't live far. Why don't you come with me.

The main thing is you're alright.

I thought you were going to kill me.

Oh, Evelyn.

Well.

Speak.

Tell me exactly what you saw.

Don't be afraid.

I saw two men.

They left the alley just before the police arrived.

Would you recognize them? - Yes!

I don't know. I'm not so sure.

I'm pretty sure I'd recognize them.

I understand.

It was dark. You're not sure.

Maybe you didn't see anything at all.

What are you talking about! They saw them!

You did see them, didn't you?

Who were they? - Wait.

It's going to be alright.

Let's meet here at eight in the morning

and go to the station together. It's just round the corner.

Go home, get some sleep.

Where are you going? - I have to... - We have to talk!

I just have to run by the office. I'll be right back.

I saw you there in the cafe.

Was he always like that?

It would have never stopped.

Everything will be alright. It will.

You did the right thing. - A human being was killed.

He was speaking to me earlier.

Who was he?

He played tennis very well.

Call me if you need anything.

You can call any time.

I'm not going to sleep anyway.

Leo's place is right next door.

Ciao.

Leo Tompson.

Divorced.

Domestic abuse.

Fined three times for speeding.

Well then.

Right away?

I wasn't talking about that. Will you be here?

Me too. I'll be here all night.

Leo's place is right next door.

Marcus! Thank God.

Where are you? - Who is this?

It's me. - Who?

Alice! - Oh, long legs.

Can I come over? - I won't be going home.

Where to then? - We'll have a few beers at the club.

I'll come there then. - Okay, but not right away.

Come in a couple of hours. - Wait.

Blood.

Number 4...

Oh, Robinson!

Where are you taking me then, Christopher?

Are you going to hide me somewhere?

It could have been dangerous for you there. - I appreciate it.

Maybe... maybe we'll go... - To your place?

That's what I was thinking.

Okay!

Where is it?

Drive over the train tracks, I'll tell you from there.

Do you like trains?

Like them?! I love trains!

They are...

so strange.

They keep passing by

and I'm there watching. - Tell me more.

What? - About trains. Anything.

So beautiful.

Trains?

Drive down from here.

There's a little harbour. I'll show you something.

They called a doctor to the fourth floor, open it up.

Make a decision.

The blond one.

I feel like fucking a pig tonight.

Wait here!

Fuck a pig. You don't mean me, do ya?

I've got a feeling you've been fucking me all along.

Listen, I don't understand what happened.

Your wife was in a fucking cafe. So we decided to take her out

when she comes out. - Then, why did you kill the guy!?

Bullshit! We didn't do it.

Then who did? - Maybe your lovely wife.

Hey, I don't have all night!

My wife didn't have a motive.

But you were spotted by two witnesses. - Okay, then.

What? - Now we've got three friends.

Alright then. I have the addresses.

The boy lives with his mother and grandmother.

The girl is from the country. She'll be staying at the stiff's apartment.

She also has a car.

I've seen those rusted ships before.

There used to be a submarine here too, I think. But it sank.

My father and I used to come here. Fishing.

I once caught a small ruff here.

Dad held it right to his face

and told it not to go swimming without its mom and dad.

Then he let it go.

I want my kids to go fishing with their dad some day.

When?

When the fish come back.

Is your father home?

In a way.

Divorced.

No children.

Criminal record.

Five times!

Harry, dear.

Is he really dear to you? - I'm sorry...

I didn't think he was dear to anybody.

I suppose, I should be grateful.

Thanks to you he's left me alone in bed.

It's only my second month here.

For me it's the seventh year.

And the last day.

Do you love him?

Not really.

Pray that the other nest is not empty as well.

It's the second time you've made me cry.

Me?! Sorry.

Don't be.

I have to get gas.

I can do that...

I can take care of this.

Proteins for you, carbs for me!

Oh my God, where am I going?

What's happening?

Damn, where are they?

Will it take long? - Yes.

I have stuff to do.

You'll have to get home yourself.

But weren't you going to come to my place?

I was only going to drop you off.

But now you have to take a taxi.

I'll give you some money for a cab.

Don't worry about it.

In case you get in trouble, I've got a secret spell that will help you out.

One, two, three...

Four.

Ciao!

Come out.

Yes. - They wanted to kill us.

I need to see you. Is your husband at home?

Hold on!

Central Criminal Police Department.

Check a number for me - 50 46 222.

Alice Holm. The phone is switched off..

Damn.

But look at the last calls. - The last number is 50...

Where is this number located? - Sea boulevard. A club, perhaps.

Thanks.

Is something wrong?

No!

Can I stay at your place tonight?

I'll give you something that will make you feel better.

My mother and grandmother are asleep.

It doesnt work.

It seems like I've been here before.

I don't think so.

You remind me of a boyfriend I had when I was 1 8.

What happened?

Oh, I thought he wasn't my type.

I thought guys like my husband were my type.

Yeah, that's what all the girls think. - Yeah. But not women.

What do women think?

That girls are stupid and blind.

I was stupid.

So what do women like?

Air.

There's plenty of air here.

Where did you disappear to?

I've gotta go.

What is up with you? Come here.

Let me go.

Don't give me that crap.

I'm sick. - Daddy will make it all better, I promise.

Don't buckish me!

I'll start screaming. - You wanted it. Now you'll get it.

It looked like you needed help.

What are you doing here? - Helping a maiden in distress.

Does he need a doctor?

No, he'll just have a headache.

Come, I'll take you home.

Oh, by all means. I'll wait outside.

I wanted the best.

The bravest, the proudest,

the strongest,

and with the best tan.

Everyone said that Harry was the best.

Absolutely everyone.

But I forgot to ask myself.

And now there is nothing left.

Usually it's bad. But there are moments that are a little better.

Is a little better than bad already good?

I tried to change things today.

But it got much worse.

Evelyn, if there is anyway I can help...

Then I'd really like to.

It's too late for me.

Do you have Alice's phone number?

Alice's phone is in a fish-tank.

What colour is it, blue or black?

Almost black.

I thought so.

You could have taken that right.

I'll take the next one.

In the morning I was sitting in this cafe,

and a guy in a yellow shirt came to my table...

Where are we going?

It's Evelyn.

Hey, it's Alice!

Alice is with me.

We're driving to our place. - Wait for me.

I'm on my way with Christopher.

So what are we waiting for?

Look at the car!

All three friends are at my place. Wait on the street.

Don't worry. We'll find those guys.

We'll be finished with you by morning.

We need to talk.

I'll have a quick smoke. On the balcony of course.

I'd like one too. My nerves are shot.

Sure, come on!

Leo... the guy who died tonight...

He smoked these.

Did Evelyn know Leo?

No! Why?

Nothing.

How do you know?

He said something about her in the cafe...

No, he didn't know her, I'm sure.

What did he say exactly?

Looks like someone hasn't got laid in a while.

Oh, nothing. He was just that kind of guy...

Evelyn saw how he treated me.

I was so ashamed.

You two are so lucky.

Where is he?

I was just saying how lucky you two are.

I'll divorce him.

My God! Does he know? - Yes. I told him.

How did he react? - He broke his hand.

But aren't you sad? - Why?

You have so much to lose. Your husband, the money...

It's my money. That's the only reason he is my husband. Was.

Do men marry for money? - Do women?

I guess it's hard to imagine a place safer than this one.

I suppose so.

You first. - No, you! Really, you.

In the morning a guy with a yellow shirt came to my table...

He came and he put a cage of Chinchillas on my table.

And then?

And then... nothing.

You know, it doesn't seem funny at all.

Do you think any spiders live here?

Are you afraid of spiders?

No, I was just thinking that they wouldnt fit in.

Yeah, they couldn't find anything to eat here.

There isn't a single fly around.

Am I more of a spider or a fly?

If you look at them very closely you'll find them both beautiful.

Have you ever been with someone?

I'm sorry? - You know, a girl?

Let's lie down.

I'm so tired.

But Harry and...

They're asleep.

But if... what if there's noise.

Don't worry, I don't snore.

We'll be finished with you by morning.

Oh, my jacket's fallen down.

I changed my mind. I'll give you all of it.

Grandfather's houses, the money, everything.

I'll just put it back up.

Harry, you won't touch these kids. Is that clear?

There is something familiar about this.

Of course! It's your jacket!

And if you're looking for that small gun,

I left it at your office.

As evidence. It's on top of the file.

You don't have to kill us.

Leave Christopher and Alice alone.

Why did you kill him?

Because he treated that girl so disgustingly bad!

And do I behave disgustingly? - Yes!

Actually, I meant to shoot you.

That's why I shot him!

Evelyn...

Please...

Wear something sexy to bed.

You wear it.

Kill me.

Take the money.

Let them go.

Be happy.

OK, Evelyn.

You win.

I'll put on something sexy myself.

Is this the best you could do?

I'm going to the station now.

Helen should still be there.

I'll have an alibi then. - What alibi?

Harry? - Yes?

What did you do?

You can't do this.

Fucking keys.

Helen!

Evelyn!

Helen! Where are you?

At home.

I told you to stay here!

I've had enough.

Nobody leaves me!

Slut!

Fucking broad.

Fucking mess!

It's the second time already. - What is he doing?

Maybe it's a trap? - Something's not right.

Did I shoot the right guys?

Getting sleep has done you good. You look good.

I take care of you, and you hand in the divorce papers.

OK, let's get a divorce.

Then you'll be a rich woman and I'll be a poor policeman again.

Then I'll want you again.

Or I could put you in jail.

No, I won't.

It's not good for you.

It wouldn't be good for me either to have my wife in prison.

You're clean, I'm clean.

What do we do with all this cleanness?

Where will you go? - Where will I go?

I will go where you won't be!

I want to sleep peacefully.

I want to wake up happy. I want to enjoy my coffee.

I want to laugh...

What you're talking about won't ever happen!

I've also killed. This will stay with you.

They'll all follow you around.

You can't cope with it alone.

It was me you meant to shoot, like you said.

So here I am.

It was good to wait for you.

I wasn't late, was l? - No-no.

I came early. I wanted to watch you walking here.

How did I walk?

You walked... You came to me.

Yes.

Ouch! What was that?

I want you to remember me.

One remembers pain well.

Ouch!

Will you forget that?

I won't.

Can I help you?

Two strawberry cakes, please.
