All language subtitles for 5. Creating a Book Cover Design

Hello, and what's up, everybody?

Welcome back to yet another video by the studios.

And in this video, we'll try and create a cover for our book, Diana and the Red Dragon of Rivendell.

So to create a cover for our book, it is really important we create a good cover of the book because

this is what our book will represent.

So we're going to hop into Canva.com and here I will search for book covers or just a cover.

So we'll get a book cover template over here.

I'll just click on that and I will get a lot of different templates I can go with Blank.

But in this case I'm always worried about the text, so I'm going to go and see whether there is a text

that I'm looking for.

So here you can see this text does not represent anything about our book because we want a text that

is more modern.

So it looks like a fictional book cover.

So this one can be a fiction book cover.

So when I'm looking through these templates, I'm just always going through and looking at the text.

If the text is good, I'm going to go with that.

Now, this one, I really like the text and the vibe of it.

I'll just click on that.

We'll change everything else maybe, but here we can also see that we have other options.

So this one is good.

This one is really great.

I think.

I think I'm going to go with this.

I can go with this girl over here as well as Rihanna, so I'll just go control, click over there.

So it's in the other page so I can customize this template.

And we have other options as well.

So let's see if we can get one more idea from here.

We can go with this one, but it looks like a princess, something like that.

But Rihanna is not a princess.

She's a warrior.

Okay, So we have this sample template over here and I'm going to go and copy our title.

So let's copy this title over here and let's paste this title over here, Rihanna and the Red Dragon

of Random.

So I'm going to go and let's say Red Dragon of Ravinder.

And I'm going to just copy this and press Rihanna and and just scale it down.

Something like that.

I want this to be on the top and this so it looks good.

Rihanna and the Red Dragon of Lavender better.

But one thing that is bothering me is this text.

I'll just place it over here maybe and change the color.

Let's change it to black.

Now, if I go over here like this, Rihanna and the Red Dragon of Lavender, and here we have a novel

pie.

And here we can add a name.

Okay, so we have added our name, we have added our title.

So now we can go and customize Rihanna or something like that.

So what I really want to emphasize over here, I like this image, so if I delete this, there is nothing

here.

So I like this girl over here.

But one thing that I want to change is maybe the background.

So let's go over here to elements and let's say Dark Fantasy or something like that.

So I want to give this not a brighter look, but a darker look.

Let's see if we can do that.

So it's all about experimentation.

Let's see if we can find photos that will resemble our theme.

Let's say if we add this photo over here.

Now, this is giving us a very dark tone.

We can add other photos as well, but and experiment with these.

But I think this photo really resembles my theme.

What I am thinking about Rihanna and the Red Dragon, and I'll just increase the size.

So it's centered like this.

Okay.

So it is more like what I wanted if I go into here and change this one as well.

Edit image and I can go and I want to reduce a bright some brightness because there is dark colors behind.

So I want a little bit I want, I want this image to be a little bit darker maybe.

Yeah, a lot better.

So we don't have Dragon in here in this cover.

Let's go and let's change this text back to something white, maybe pure white.

Okay, so next thing that may be really important is to add a dragon.

So you can always go and customize this stuff.

But I really think this is looking great.

So we can add this dragon or this dragon.

So we have two options here.

If I go into graphics, maybe I have a few more options.

Okay, so this is a graphical photo.

So it these dragons in photos, these are real dragons, but we're going to go with this vibe because

this is not an anime picture.

So I'm going to go and select a dragon from the graphics.

We can go simple with this one and we can also go with this one.

This one will look better, I think.

Let's add this dragon and where we will add it.

Let's add it over here

like this.

Okay, so this will look good over there as well.

Or I can do one more thing is to add a dragon on this word dragon here.

Okay.

So it will look good on the dragon.

And one more thing.

Let's place it over here and bring it to the front.

Okay, so this is also a good example.

We can do this.

This is looking good.

Or we can add you can add this dragon.

This one is looks good and this dragon is looking pretty great.

Maybe this will look better because you can see the colors here and the colors on this character.

They look a lot similar.

So let's go with this dragon.

I think.

I think this is a lot better.

Okay.

And let's place it behind this dragon text.

Wow.

This is looking a lot better.

Okay.

You can also go let's say I want to add this.

We can also go and add a lot of stuff as there is a circle behind.

I can add this and place it like this.

So it's looking really, really great.

So you can search for stuff, you can add stuff, you can remove stuff and this will work fine.

But for me, for me, I think this one looks perfect.

This is a good cover.

I'm going to go and download it, click on share, download, and then let's download it.

In PNG, we can increase the size.

Let's increase the size to two.

If you have Canva free account, then you can not increase the size, but one will work absolutely fine.

I'm going to go and download this and that's how you can download a cover.

You can create a cover for your book.

Now let's see how you can sell these books and how you can make money from that.
